Dont know what to do!!

I have a question, I know it sounds nasty, but I have for the past few days, being with diarrhea and stomach ache, they told me I can only drink pepto, but I'm afraid to drink anything and I think I'm dehydrating myself by going to the bathroom so much, everything I eat makes me go to the bathroom, I'm only a few weeks along and I don't know if this might affect my baby. Should I be eating anything different, please help!!

yes, you can only have pepto and it helps.  I got same problem before and it's gone in one week.

Pepto is a class C drug, you should really consult with a dr when using it during pg. The FDA labels drugs by A, B, C, D & X for use during pg. Class A presents no danger and so on down the line.

Drink plenty of liquids and consult your OB.

Are you on any other meds besides the Progesterone.  My doctor has me taking Metformin and it will give me diarrhea every once in a while.  

Just follow the doctor's orders, if they tell you u can take Pepto, then chances are you probably can without any damage to the baby.

Aside from the diarrhea, what pregnancy symptoms are you experiencing?

hi LilyMF, well I also take metformin, the progesterone shots, prenatal vitamins and the endometrin vaginal inserts. right now not a lot of symptoms just the usual cramping, which is mild and that's normal. so how have you been feeling??? congrats I know your levels double. I go for blood and ultrasound on monday and I'm so excited to see my little sac.

Well there you go, if you are taking Metformin then that is the cause of your diarrhea.  Initially the doctor had me taking it twice a day, but the diarrhea was so bad he had to lower the dosage to once a day.

Talk to your doctor on Monday when you go for the U/S.

How far along are you now?

You know I have been trying to figure that out, because I don't know if you count from the day of your embryo transfer. do you know????
