FSH 9.4 and Estradiol 40

by usuk, Oct 09, 2009 11:35AM
New doc took CD3 blood and these are the numbers. She seemed happy with the Estradiol but said FSH was okay/normal since it was under 10. It's not much under 10? Any thoughts?

We are ALMOST identical ;)  My CD3 FSH was 10 & my E2 was 40 too......the BAD news was that I did the CCCT & took my FSH on CD10 & it shot up to 15 ;(  Means my one & only poor lil ovary is working a little hard producing my follies...so I am told...........

Well ladies, I don't don't what you think of my tests, but here they are:

2005 - conceived my son, first natural IUI, March, tests beforehand taken on day 2 showed:
estradiol 160, with FSH of around 6

2007 - conceived my daughter October, with first IUI using meds, tests beforehand taken on day 2 showed:
estradiol 253, with FSH of 6.9

Now, I'm trying for baby # 3.  Have had one unsuccessful IUI, and one cancelled IUI, as I produced too many mature follies.  Tests taken in April, on day 2 showed:
estradiol 68, with FSH of 8.5.

What I don't understand is why my estradiol is now so much lower??  The nurse told me it was good, but I don't understand the background - what is going on?  I know a high estradiol reading can make the FSH appear lower than it really is.  I just don't get why my estradiol is now so much lower, when it seemed it was going in a patter of increasing.  Anyway, I suppose I'll ask my RE when I see him.  It had slipped my mind until I saw your posts.

So much is said about estradiol, some say high estradiol or low estradiol are not good in certain circumstances, for getting pregnant.....
