Femara and ovulation

I have recently taken my first cycle of Femara to make me ovulate. I have PCOS and do not ovulate often.  I am now on cycle day 19 and according to my BBT I have not ovulated.  Is is a common thing to ovulate late on Femara? If so, how late is too late to hold out hope for ovulation?

I'm on Femara as well....Sometimes it may not do much for the first month, the 2nd month you should be in full swing.  Did you Dr order bloodwork or an ultra sound to check your follicles?

unfortunatly my Dr. does not have the capability to do the ultrasound or bloodwork monitoring. my OB is trying to do everything she can for us before I have to move on to a more expensive fertility specialist.   Ideally she wanted me on Metformin for 3 months prior to the Femara, but I had horrible side effects.  I did one round of Clomid and ovulated around CD 14 (but Got strep throat the same week!), so I guess I have been surprised when the femara has done nothing but give me a headache!  Thanks for the info! I will talk to the OB about doing another round to see if the results change.
