So sorry about the BFN. I think I am going to have one this month as well. Glucophage is a brand name for MetforminMetformin Metformin-pioglitazone Metformin-rosiglitazone Metformin-sitagliptin. I have taken clomid with Metformin for the past couple of cycles. I take 1000 mg per day of metformin and 50 mg clomid. The clomid makes me have a little insomnia and get headachy and irritable from time to time. But I don't have any side effects from the metformin. I have heard other people say it made them have a slighly upset stomach, but I have not experienced this. I still do not have a BFP, but clomid and metformin are supposed to work together really well to help you ovulate. Good luck!

i am also on metformin & clomid. this is my 2nd cycle on the combo. so far so good. metformin hasnt given me any s/e. good luck to you & i am very sorry for your bfn. i feel & understand the frustration. dont worry this will be our month!!!ssbd!!!
I am also on clomid and glucophage and am just on my first month of it. I just started today but I go to the doctor on 9-13 so hopefully he will do this again next month. Godd luck and I hope it works for you and me.
I was on Metformin (same as Glucophage) and Clomid for a total of 6 cycles to regulate my blood sugars and ovulation. They are often related. I started on just Clomid and nothing happened, so they added the Metformin and it helped the Clomid work more effectively. Anyway, after 6 cycles I was getting really discouraged, but I'm now 29 weeks pregnant with triplets, so good luck to you!
