Oh good luck.  My insurance paid for all the testing, meds, dr visits and the ultrasounds. We had to pay for the IUIs but with the rest covered, it made it very affordable.  Congrats.. sounds like you are on the right path.

I hope your RE finds the best way to proceed for you.  I think that being pro-active is a good way to go.  I am in the same boat: seeing my doc tomorrow with my DH  :)

Best of luck to you!

can you give me idea of how much an iui cost

by Tanker Chic, Nov 19, 2007 06:45PM
With all the things listed above covered by insurance, we paid $300 per IUI.  Insurance can be tricky sometimes because the brochure will say they do NOT cover ART, IUI or IVF.  And that is true, but they do cover a lot of the stuff that goes with it.  I'm saying that is the case with all insurance, but it was with mine (blue cross blue shield federal).  At your appointment, they can tell you what your insurance will cover and what they won't.  Good luck to you.

i called the insurance company today they said all test are covered but the treatment isnt they also said it does not pay for ART.IUI.IVf so i calledthe RE office back and asked they said my insurance wil pay for most everything as long as the doctor can help me but when he gets to the point and says i am infertile then my insurance will not pay anymore but i am fertile cause i do ovulate i think all thats needs to happen is an IUI cause i think DH has low sperm count but i guess i will find out for sure on the 26th
