HORMONE LEVEL CONCERNS

by kanie, Feb 06, 2008 02:24PM
Hi

I had my first pregnancy and miscarriage at aged 40 last year. Prior to falling pregnant my doctor had checked various hormone levels and my estrogen was low but after two test came into what was considered normal range but still low. It also confirmed that I was not going through an early menopause. However in this last year and more recently facial hair on my chin has increased and I feel I am losing hair daily when I comb reach morning and my period is shorter. I am concerned these my be indications of progesterone or hormones not being quite right and impacting my fertility. Can you help?

Thyroid is a very common problem for hair loss. PCOS is a common cause for facial hair. Have you been checked/tested for either?
