How to take Clomid

Anyway, I start Clomid this week and I have two questions.

1. Should I take my pills in the AM or PM?


2. Before my OB/GYN ditched me he said to take CLomid say 3-7.  But my RE who prescribed them said 5-9.  I have my U/S and trigger on the 16th. I kinda want to do the 3-7 to have more follies but am worried that I may O before U/S and trigger and I dont want them to see no follies on U/S and assume it did not work or I did already O....   Any thoughts??

I have been taking my clomid right before bed, so I did not have many of the side effects that most other people said they experienced.  I would definately reccommend taking clomid at night.

wow, no u/s until cd 16??  That does seem a bit risky.  If it is the RE who is giving you the u/s and trigger, than I would stick with what he said and wait until cd 5-9. I always took it cd 5-9 and always has two follicles when I took it.  And I was only on a quarter of a pill.  

I always second guessed my RE's decisions, but he has gotten me pg twice so he does know what he is doing..  I say trust him until he proves you wrong...  If you ovulate before the u/s than he has to give it to you another month.. If he thinks that you didn't ovulate, then he has to give it to you next month...

I would temp too.. If something screwy happens it can help clear things up.. Take the guess work out of it..

I would also pay attention to your ewcm... clomid inhibits ewcm in up to like 25% of women.

ive been on clomid for 3 months...and the first 2 months my RE has me take it days 3-7 but just this month he up the dose to 100mg and days 3-8 and it worked i got a good mature follicle got a trigger shot today and just waiting to ovulate...good luck to you..clomid does work!!

I've been waiting to see what your temp did the next day and just checked again. I'm sorry she showed :( I would definitely wait til 5-9 with a trigger that late. There's a strong chance you could still o b4 the trigger with those days. I was o'ing at the earliest cd16 and most even later b4 clomid. On clomid I o'd on 50mg at cd12 then on 100mg on cd14. If you weren't doing a trigger I'd say 2-6. Most women prefer taking it at night. I took it in am with vitamins so I wouldn't forget. I didn't get s/e until 2nd round and mostly hot flashes. But, they were gone by evening so didn't ruin my sleep. :)

I am new to this and about to start Clomid once I get my period. Question  - I currently get my period every 40 days and got knows when I ovulate if I even do. Once I start the clomid (taking 50 mg on day 3 - 9 when will I ovulate? Does it happen really soon after?
