I think I have a cyst

by kmcarino, Feb 28, 2009 09:51AM
The last time I took Crinone was Tuesday night.  I can see blood when I check but it is not flowing down.  I saw it yesterday morning and af is still not flowing.  I am thinking I must have a cyst that is producing hormones to delay my period.  I have never had a cyst that prevented me from starting another cycle, but I think I may have one now.  I did nto go in for my beta yesterday.  I keep pushing the appt back a day.  I thought today would be CD1 but now not sure so I have an appt tomorrow but if I don't get af today I don't know what to do because my appt is for cd2 b/w and u/s.  I do want to have an u/s to see if I have a cyst to start trying to get rid of it but would a blood test be necessary?  Has anyone else had cysts after their cycles and had a dalayed period?

I had cysts remaining IUI and also after IVF.  It will go away on its own. If you are experiencing any pain do let your doctor know. Take care.

How long will it take to go away?  I really have to start trying as soon as possible becayse my insurance will run out.  I have normal af cramps, that is all.  I am hoping it comes today.  Was af delayed for you when you had them?

Hey

i had a cyst about a month ago and after my period came it did go away but they also had prescribed me with the pills which i would not consider because it was on 2/5 i stop taking it and i still don't have it yet as of today so i'm 1wk late and had neg test. But your doctor can tell you how big and see if they need to prescriberd you with any meds. So don't worry too much and just try to relax because stress can make you go crazyi should know believe me. SSBD to you and goodluck

It may not be a cyst - after my IVF I spotted for like 5 days before I got af - and no cysts.  Hang in there.  I'm not sure why you don't want to get your beta?  Plenty of women spot in early pregnancy so it could just be that!  Good luck!

First get your beta done. Depending on that result you can proceed. If you want to start the next cycle doctor will do a scan to see if there are any cysts. For me I had t skip a cycle of iui because of the cycst. May be you don't have cyst. Did you take a hpt?

Are you saying that the cyst would not go away until af actually comes?  So, if I do have a cyst that is delaying my period, how can I get it to come?  Is that why bc pills are prescribed to people, in order to get af to come?

I POAS 12dpiui and ti was negative but I already knew that due to my low prog. levels and also due to my drops in temp.  It keeps going down...this morning it was really low.

Raray-  Did your af come before you started taking the pills?  Did the cyst delay your period?

Do you think they will be able to see with an u/s if I have a cyst or not tomorrow if af hasn't started yet?
