Clomid stimulates ovulation, so you sometimes release more than one egg. Therefore, if two eggs are released and fertilized, you can have twins. I was on Clomid and am pregnant with triplets!
Wow, trips? That's wonderful(and scary, lol) I believe the increase in chance of twins is 5-8%. It was on the literature I rec'd with my clomid. I just took 1st round this cycle. I do o on my own, also. I'll be more than happy if I can just have one full-term, healthy, beautiful baby.
I took 100 mg of Clomid, had IUI and am now pg with twins! So yes, it does increase your chances. Luckily, my RE had reduced my dosage from 150 mg (reg ob/gyn prescribed) down to 100 mg or I might very well be having triplets!
I want twins so bad, I have one beautiful baby girl. But the thing is I don't want my husband to find out that I am taking a drug to help make twins... lol Can he find out if I take a drug to concive more than one? And what drug is good?
