IUI triggered by HCG negative HPT

I had ovulation triggered by an HGC shot and an IUI on April 28.  I know that HPT can be false positives if taken too soon after the HCG shot due to the shot.  I had an awful headache this weekend and did nto want to harm a chances of implantation or getting pregnant, so before taking any Aleve, I took a home pregnancy test.  The test was negative.  Is there any possibility that I can still be pregnant?  

We have been trying for years and are so hopeful.  I keep praying but cannot help to be disappointed by the test.  I thought if anythign it would be a positive that might be false due to the HCG shot.

Anybody else been here?

I would say yes there is still a chance. If I am reading correctly you are 9dpIUI? It may not show bfp for several days.

On the bright side, if you get a bfp in a few days, you'll know it wasn't leftover trigger :) Some implants dont happen until 9 or 10 dpo and hcg may not be high enough for a while after that, so don't give up yet. :)

when exactly did u get the hcg shot and when the IUI ?

When I had IUI, I started testing at 9 dpiui and didn't get a BFP until 12 dpiui.  I think you still have very good chances.  Best of luck to you.

wouldn't u get false positive instead of a negative. Beacuse at the clinic they told me that I sholudn't test till after 2 week post HCG shot so it is a true positive. Today I I'm days post Hcg shot (IUI was cancelled) and I too was negative, however 2 days ago I was positive. I also feel like **** (mentally).I'm very disappointed.

hey i was on clomid last month..and on cd14 i got a trigger shot..for the next 5 days i tested positve on opk..im currently 11dpo and i started testing @ 9dpo i know its early and i still have a good chance but so far ive been getting all (-) so i dk about the trigger shot being in your for so long but i could be wrong i think you still have a pretty good chance my af is suppost to arrive in the 11th and i see my RE that day also we shall find out soon!

I would say hold off on Aleve, but I think Tylenol is OK to take. That is what I take now if I get a head ache. You could have late implanation and still get a BFP :)

I had my IUI 11/1/08 & 11/2/08 . today is day 14 and my AF is not here?? The doctor told me to do a hpt test on day 13 & 14 both were (-). I've had bad cramps the last two days is this normal??  how long after an unsuccessful IUI should your AF come?
