IVF Transfer w/Donor Eggs

I understand with a traditional IVF transfer it is not recommended to take a home pregnancy test as the hCG shot could still be in your system therefore producing a false positive. I had a transfer on 3/09  and I have a scheduled blood test on 3/15. I took a home test as I have not had any hCG shots due to the donor eggs. Both tests have been positive (faint yesterday afternoon and much stronger this a.m.).
Could I be pregnant or is this just wishful thinking? Any advise/opinions would be greatly appreciated as I'm sooo nervous! Thanks:-)

Thanks for the positive outlook!!!!I'm scared silly that the test this wednesday will be negative (we've had 3 miscarriages in the past so ivf is our last hope). Have you gone thru ivf with your own eggs or someone else's?

Sounds like a BFP!  Congrats!

I'm new to some of the lingo here... what is BFP?

Big fat positive  :)

I did IVF with my own eggs, 3 times.  Negative the first time, positive the second time (miscarriage), and positive the third time (I'm 7 weeks).  I took a hpt the day before my beta the second and third time. I used the digital test, both said pregnant, then beta confirmed.

Congrats! This is a BFP!!! Embrace it and enjoy!
Best wishes...

I also am going to use donor eggs this time around.  My transfer is 4/19 and this time around it is a lot easier, meaning not alot of shots. etc.. I'm 43 and I have m/c 2 and my doctor thinks my eggs are getting a little old.  I'm excited, and scared.  Good luck, when do you go in for your hcg test?  Maybe it's twins?   Keep us updated

Thanks everyone for your support and comments. I can't wait till the beta test on wednesday...i'll let everyone know how it turns out. I think I have my first ultrasound (if pregnant) in early April. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the twins, too:-)

Hi everyone, I had my beta test today and it was positive. My level was 569...the doctor's office said it was high but I'm not certain if it's high enough to be twins...anyone have thoughts on this subject? Thanks again, everyone!!!
