Infertility and prostatitis

I was diagnosed with Chronic Bacterial Prostatits 6 weeks ago and have been taking Trimethoprim ever since, with little or no success. I was wondering if bacterial prostatitis is a known cause of infertility? Most websites say that it is not, but I want to hear from people who may have had experience with prostatitis and not have been able to conceive later on? Please I need your advice. THanks

My husband had a high white blood cell count from his SA. We didnt know if it was prostatisits or not but went on antibiotics and it cleared it up. A hight white blood cell count kills the morphology (shape) of the sperm so they arent able to swim or even live sometimes. We got pregnant two weeks after he was on the antibiotics. Hang in there sometimes these things can take a while to clear up. I hope this helps
