Is it normal to still spot on Prometrium

My doctor put me on Prometrium for low progesterone levels. I'm trying to get pregnant and i spot for several days before my period each month. This is my first month taking it and the spotting started earlier than normal. Is this normal the first month you take it? Does your body just need time to get used to the medication?

I spot too, all the time! 5-6 dpo until AF. I seriously thought no different of this cycle and was bummed. BUT, I took a test today and I am pregnant. I had my progesterone checked last thurs. on cd 21 but don't have the results. I sure wish you the best of luck. (and I'm still spotting)

Wow congrats!  how many DPO did you get the positive pregnancy test?
Were you also on prometrium? I'm 13 DPO and still spotting but my temperatures are still up so i'm not sure what's going on.  I took a test today and it was negative :(

Well, according to my tracker it is 10dpo. I used to count the day of my + opk as Ovulation but the tracker takes the next day as ovulation after the +, which makes sense. I have  NEVER gotten a bfp that soon. NEVER. Usually it's 13dpo before even a hint of a line. Don't worry everyones different. 13dpo? Temps still up is a good sign. I'm still spotting, even a lot of red at times. I'm not tooo freaked out yet. I did call the dr's nurse and let her know what was up. I am not on progesterone right now would like it checked. I took it w/my ds, not because it was low but because I had already had 2 m/c.... sooo.... Well, I sure hope tomorrow brings a bfp for you, when is your AF due?

Yeah my tracker takes the day after my first + as ovulation which is usually correct accoring to my temps. Wow 10 DPO good for you, waiting to test is so stressful. I was supposed to get AF yesterday but so far only still spotting. I think the progesterone delayed it from coming b/c i tested again this morning (14DPO) and no hint of a line. So i stopped taking the progesterone last night so that I can get AF and try again next month. Did you spot before AF and during your pregnancy with your ds? Also, did you take progesterone before you found out you were pregnant the first time or only once you found out you were?

I have never taken progesterone before a bfp. I only took it w/ds because I had had 2 m/c's and seriously I thought my dr. just did it to appease me :)  SO, when I called to tell them about my bfp the nurse just said OK we have a script for progesterone for you, huh, ok :) SO,I have only had 4 AF's since the birth of DS (10mo's) Every cycle I started to heavily spot red, brown, deep purple until AF. And I mean I could tell the difference even though the spotting was requiring a liner. I figured this cycle was no different because of all the spotting that always starts about 5dpo. BUT, I actually think it is stopping now. MY af was due on Thursday. I got a beta yesterday, hope they will do another on Wed. How many months have you been ttc?

How did the beta turn out? Are you now on progesterone to support the pregnancy? I actually ended up getting my period the day after i stopped the progesterone.  It was only my second month trying to conceive so i'm not too worried about anything yet. I got my results from my progesterone test and they were 29 at 11DPO so my doctor was really happy with the results. He said my body is taking well to the progesterone so he wants to try that for a few months. I actually didnt try to conceive this cycle b/c i lost my father in February and my mind was just elsewhere. I'm ovulating today and havent done anything to try so I think I'll get back on track next cycle. Are you still spotting?
