I had my embryoCea transfer on last Wed. I have been taking the Endometrin inserts all the way up until Tuesday. On Thursday (I noticed a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummysspottingVaginal bleeding between periods and called the doctor immediately). They told me I should have told them I ran out Endometrin inserts (I didn't know). I started back taking the inserts today. Did I do any harm to my embryoCea's? Because I missed Wed inserts the doctor said I may have did some harm to the embryos. I am a little nerves. I go for my blood work on tomorrow..........Also, I noticed many of you get your blood work within two weeks, why is that my doctor office doing my blood within a week from my transfer? Please Advise
Was your progesterone level tested after you missed the two days (blood test)? I would think that you are still fine as it was only two days - but good thing they got you back on it.
I have no ideal what my progesterone level is. How do I determine that? In additional, when I started back on the inserts the bleeding is not coming down as much? I take my pregnancy test tomorrow. Why is it that I take my pregnancy test so earlier?
They are more than likely going to take blood to check your progesterone levels because by missing your dose it may have set your hormone level off balance. Progesterone levels play a vital part in supporting your pregnancy in the early stages of pregnancy. Just take it is and try to relax because stress can make things worse. Just think positive thoughts.
It really depends on the protocol that your RE has for you, but he should have talked with you about that prior to the IVF cycle. I just started my Lupron injections and I already know that I will be on progesterone for at least 10-12 week or until I get a period that I pray won't come. Every thing will work out.
Im on the progesterone pesseries at the moment, as far as i am aware i take them to week 10 and then they ween me off them. The pregnancy test is usally about 12days post transfer so i would assume they are testing your progesterone levels. Now in the past i have missed 1 pessery and my ivf clinic actually just told me to use two the next time to make up for the missed. How heavy is the bleeding? could it be implantation bleeding?
whittfred - I never got my period when on these in past cycles. If the pregnancy test came up negative i stopped taking them and about three days latter it came.
Progesterone suppositories can be very irritating to the cervix, causing it to bleed. In most cases, that is the problem. There are a few other possiblilites as well. Depending on the size of the embryos, it could even be implant bleeding. If the transfer was the day b4 yesterday, it could be irritation from the catheter they used to insert the embryos.
I am on progesterone injections. They told me I would stay on them until at least 8wks past transfer. Maybe longer. It all depends on b/w. I wouldn't worry, like the other ladies said :)
On last night when I started back on the progesterone suppositories, the bleeding stop. But this morning, I started spotting all over again. I am really nerves. They did my blood work this morning and I am waiting to help back from them. I pray that God hears all my prayers and let everything be okay.
