OPK Serious Question... Need help

SO I have had the weirdest times with all of this opk stuff. For 4 days in a row last week I had positive opks.... I wrote a post about trying to start af and it didn't work in the appropriated amount of time... So I decided that I would just go ahead and take another opk (answer strip) and it came up completely and unmistakable positive. I have had problems with ovulation before and just to make sure I took another strip test (early pregnancy ((opk)).com strip test) and it came out negative. The parsley that I was using was not an abortion herb (just in case) and I have read that opk (positive) can mean pregnancy. I was just wondering if any of you had any thoughts about this or had similar experiences. I will be taking another opk later just to make sure. My last opk was 9 days ago so I don't know if a pregnancy test would show now... Im very confused!

How long do your AF run? I think you o'd on day 15 and your surge was late in the day is why it showed on the CD16. Yes you can use opks for hpt. You really need to test! You should of started around 11-15 days after O. Woman with longer luteal phases have longer fillicular phases not luteal phases. But are you sure you read the test right? The line HAS to be darker then the control line. Do a HPT and let us know what it says. Hope you are:)

Oh and you really need to start taking your BBT because if you are unsure of when you O and get several + then you also need to go by your temps. They will rise after you O so you will be sure when you did.

Yeah it was way darker than the other line. I use the answer tests all of the time. I bought some equate brand tests last night so I think I am going to do another opk and then if it is positive then I will take a test.... I am so afraid because my cycles have been so screwy that it worries me :) Ill let you know!

I am only tech 9dpo (due to crazy ovulation) and I started my last period 39 days ago!!!!! Before that I hadn't had a period in 7 months (once again due to ovulation) and last week I had 4 positive opks within a 4 day period. I just took another opk and it came up negative although I didn't reduce liquids. I am going to not drink anything for the next few hours and then take another and if it comes up positive then I will take a test :)

I also took my temp this morning and it was at 97.25 at 6 this morning which makes me feel like I either haven't ovulated at all or I am about to start my period. I am going to be taking my temps from now on just to see what happens :)

I'm not sure about all of this, becuase I am just starting myself, however, I do know that an OPK can show positive if ur pregnant. I don't even know anything about OPKs, and have never bought one for myself, but a friend of mine had one while she was trying to get pregnant (it was a cool one that u put ur saliva on and screw it back together, and it lights up and has a magnifying lense and tells if ur ovulating by ur saliva) and just for fun I did it, even though I was well into my pregnancy, and it showed positive.

Wow that is great! I am thinking that I am going to have to get one of those. I got my positive opk earlier this morning and negative ones since then. My sides are hurting and I am having some cramps. I am very confused but I am on cd 39 today and either ovulated 9 days ago or are doing it today...Last week I got 4 positive opks first thing in the morning, so know i am not sure. I am going to do another opk tomorrow if I haven't started and if it is positive then I will take an hpt...

Ok so yesterday my temp was at 96.27 and today it was at 96.95 (nice jump + my temps are always low) and yesterday I though I was having what was pms symptoms and cramping and now this morning all of those symptoms are gone :) I am hoping after 3 more false opks that the one I got yesterday is the one I ovulated on :) I won't know for another 14 days but we definitely bedded all 5 days before and this morning so hopefully we have it all covered. I took an opk today (fmu ) and it was clearly negative so I have my fingers crossed before I have to go see the fertility specialist!

Oh I thought I should tell you never to do opk in the morning. You need 4 hours after you are up and running around for the Lutenizing hormone to get to the urine. It needs to be concentrated also. And I noticed you ahd sex five days in a row. My RE says this will make a healthy man infertile. He gets new sperm every three days and you can only have sex no ,ore then everyother day no more then three times a week:) Or you will lower his spern count. You need to try for 2-3 days before O then not till O and then you are supposed to have sex in the evening on the night you O and the next evening. These two nights are the most important to cover. So the more you have sex you can actually harm your chance of getting pregnant:) Thought you would want to know this bit of info

I hate to disagree with you but my doc told me to have sex with my husband as much as possible.... although I didn't really like that doc but he said every other day or every day with a willing participant (which my definitely is) and it wouldn't hurt his count. We are going to see a fertility specialist on the July 27 so I will have to go with the flow on what they say :)

Well I kind of feel like I am going to start af. I had a jump in temp yesterday and then completely fell. I was going to try to get provera but my doc (thanks to the military holiday) isn't in so I will have to wait it out til tomorrow and see what happens. I am currently on cd 41 and and ready to have a bfp!

Ok so I took anther opk at 230pm today and it was clearly positive... my cervix doesn't feel totally soft (but I guess it could be getting there) and it is high and closed... I just don't get it! It seems like all of my positives are false and I can't stand it anymore! I did a hpt from the dollar tree and it said negative so could it be that the opk is picking up slightly lower forms of hCg???? I called planned parenthood to see if i could get any of my questions answered from them but until then I am planning on looking on the net for more information! Anyone with any advice I sure need it!

SO I decided to call the doctor today and try to figure out out what is going on with my positive opks (got one today too) so my doc told me to come into to do a quant test...and that was at 1040 am and they told me that was going to be an hour and low and behold they kept putting me off and saying that the doc needed to talk to me at 8am tomorrow!
