Ovulation but not conceiving

by bexlee, Aug 14, 2007 07:19AM
Hi All

I had a miscarriage back in March, I was 11 weeks along and it happened naturally. Ever since then I have had iregular periods between 35-46 days. I have started using OPK and I am ovulating but I don't seem to be conceiving. What could be the cause of this and is anybody else in the same position?

First off sorry for your loss!  You have come to the right place!! I ovulate every month, so my Dr. says and I still am not pregnant. Well, I just had a m/c 7-19 but we tried months before that and so do all the women on here.  Either they are ovulating w/ clomid or naturally.  Only a small % of women get pregnant each month they try. We are all in the same boat. good Luck to you!

I am the same boat.  I have ovulated the past 4 cycles, sometimes multiples according to my sonograms and progesterone readings.  However, I am still not pregnant.  I have no idea why, but I sure wish I knew.

By the way, my DH had a semen analysis and it came back normal, but you might have your DH's semen analysis done so you will know if you do or do not have male factor infertility.

Sometimes it is a mystery....I have been trying for over a year and a half.   All fert. tests come back great so there is not a real medical reason at this point explaining my infertility.
Has your Dr. recommended doing any testing?
