PCOS

by RKRSK, Mar 09, 2007 12:00AM

Hi everyone,

I just found out that i have PCOS and it is scaring me crazy - in addidition to infertility - we have a history of diabetes in my family and iam scared about getting it. I started on Metformin.

Through my googling - i found a good site that has supplements that can be taken to reduce the effects of pcos. "Pcos-insulitelabs".

I already started an aerobics class, 3 times a week and iam def going to cut out carbohidrates in my diet.

All the best to all the other PCOS sufferers!

Baby dust to all.

I was diagnosed when I was 21, so that was like 9 years ago.  It didn't bother me until now that I want a family.  If I would have know it would have been so much work, I would have started researching a couple of years ago???

Blessings to you.  Let me know how the  metformin works for you.  They are going to start me on it, in a couple of weeks.

i have pcos also when the doctor found out he also put in metformin he say it halps alot 1500mg a day. also try to take prenatal vitamins it also help but to tell you the truth metformin alone dont help that much try together with clomid if you are trying to concieve fast well this month i start it clomid together with metformin i been trying to concieve for the last two year and no luck only once thru insamination and i miscarried at the second day of finding out i was pregnant. well hopefully this time with all the medication they put me on this month the doctor say it will be easier to concieve (clomid, 3-7, estrogen 8 to 12, and prochieve 8% the rest of the weeks and if you become pregnant you need to stay on proachieve for 10 week). hopefully this month i would try to concieve on the 28 i would know if im pregnant this week i need to have alot of intercourse to become pregnant.

Well - all i can say is thank you and best luck.

I was given clomid prescription as well - am waiting for af and then i take 3-7 days.

I however need to loose like 60lbs - i wish i could hold on trying to conceive longer until i have shed the weight but it is not easy - i turn 33 yrs in April - my ds turns 3 in April too and we are planning on having 4 children.

Baby dust to you all.
