Pregnancy symptoms while taking Progesterone and Estrogen

Hello -

Question -

I am 4 days post 3dt (Oct 3) of 4 embryos with AH (1st IVF cycle, just turned 42)
I am taking daily progesterone shots as well as vivelle dots (estrogen patches).
If I become BFP, my RE wants me to continue progesterone and estrogen until 10-12 weeks.
Since my hormones will be regulated, does that mean that I won't experience the typical nausea and vomiting of pregnancy which usually occurs in the first trimester?  That would be fantastic!

Hi-We did our frst IVF cycle in August and I am currently 10w4d pregnant.  I have not had ONE pregnancy symptom all along.  I am on estrogen pills and progesterone in oil shots daily.  I am tired but that is it-really no sore bbs, no morning sickness at all.  Had we not seen the baby on the u/s I would not even believe I was pregnant.  

I know that doesn't happen to everyone but hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones too!  Best of luck.

Wow! I never thought of that!  I was on progesterone and estradiol supplements until 10 weeks and I didn't really have any morning sickness. I never thought that that could be the reason. I did have really sore BBs though.  I've been thinking the same thing though, and actually ordered a fetal doppler monitor so I can hear the baby since I have so few symptoms.  Just for my peace of mind.

Well I had been on Clomid and Estradioal and Progesterone before my BFP. My prog was 400mg nightly and believe me even after being on that until I was 12 weeks I had an increase in my morning sickness or as I like to call it "all day sickness". I think every woman is different. Wish you luck out tho and are one of the lucky ones.
