Question about the size of follies...

by ashleighnb, Sep 09, 2009 08:15PM
I had an ultrasound today to check follies. There were three follies on the left side measuring 15mm 17mm and 19mm. Doc wants me to do the trigger tomorrow night between 8 and 9. Then have an IUI on saturday morning at 10:15.

Are my follie sizes okay? Im not sure what they should be. Has anyone gotten preggo with smaller follies? Will my follies be bigger by tomorrow night?

Any response would help. SSBD to all!!!

Those numbers sounds excellent! I'm doing IVF with ICSI & they don't do the egg retrieval until the follicles are around 18. I'm assuming it's the same with an IUI. I'm sure they wouldn't trigger you if your follicles weren't the right size. Good luck! My retrieval should be this weekend....moving right along. Is this your 1st IUI?

Yes this is my first IUI, also my first clomid cycle, never taken any fertility drugs until this cycle. Thanks for the response, that really helps me, I was so worried. I am so excited about the whole process although I know its not 100% but I am staying positive. What is the ICSI and how do you combine that with IVF? Sorry new to everything.
