I am new to this board. Over the last year I have had MC and an ectopicEctopic pregnancy pregnancy. I had a HSG done yesterday and only my left tube filled with the dye, the right side would not fill at all. The doctor was unsure whether the tube was there and blockedBlocked tear duct or if there was not a tube there at all. I had severe pain with the ectopicEctopic pregnancy but the caught it at 6/7 weeks with methotrexateMethotrexate Methotrexate sodium Methotrexate sodium, preservative free. Did my tube burst and it is not there or is it just blockedBlocked tear duct? Where do I go from here? If I do have a tube can they remove the blockagePeripheral artery disease or is removing it altogether a better option for fertility reasons? I just do not want to have another ectopic. How can you tell if you have both tubes intact or not? He did not see it on the screen? Anyone else had this situation?????
Welcome to the board!! I don't know if a tube can burst without you having a lot of bleeding. I thought that could be life-threatening if a tube bursts. Even if it is blocked, you still have a good chance of conception from the other side, as many woman have conceived successfully with only one tube. The only thing I can suggest is to ask your doctor to have an MRI done to see more details of your tube and whether or not it's there.
Sorry I couldn't be of much help but maybe someone else will be able to share their experiences with you.
Thank you for your suggestions. I just want to conceive naturally and hope that I do not have to go through another ectopic. It was very painful. I have a healthy 2 1/2 year old and do not understand what would cause my tube to be blocked. The doctor made it seem like he could not even see the other tube? I would think it would still be there? I have an appointment in November to see someone. We are going to try again this month though. I pray for the best.
Has anyone gone on to have a healthy pregnancy with one of your tubes being blocked? I just do not know where to go from here, now knowing that my right tube is blocked after having a HSG done. I am scared to try naturally and hope that I do not get pregnant from that side. Has anyone been in a similar situation and had a positive outcome?

Good luck!
