Retrograde Ejaculation

by CrzyBeautiful1, Jul 04, 2009 05:56PM
This is actually all new to me, and I'm basically pretty ignorant to all of this and need some advice.

My O day is approaching and I'm starting to get nervous! With my ex hubby, conception was instant, but my current hubby has type 1 Diabetes, and this has caused him to have retrograde ejaculation. He has 2 kids from a previous relationship and had no trouble having them, but that was a few years ago with his youngest and alot changes in a few years. I'm just so worried that he won't ejaculate when we really need it. I'm not sure exactly how many times something comes out vs how many times nothing does, but I know that quite a bit of times when he has an orgasm absolutely nothing comes out.

Is there anyone else here who has faced this issue? If so, what do u recommend we do to increase our chances of conceiving since we have this to take into account? I have been trying to BD every night, thinking this might help, but his diabetes gives him a low sex drive. Any supplements or anything I can do on my end that may help?  I'm not even sure when I ovulate...I just started my tracker a couple of weeks ago. My CM started increasing last night, and today its very watery, placement is high, soft, and I'm thinking its not open so much but I say medium...how many days before ovulation does all this usually occur? UGH I never knew tracking this and actually paying close attention could be so nerve racking! I'm going to get an OPK to use, so I'm hoping this helps. Any advice on OPKs would help too because I've never used one before and know nothing about them. Can an OPK show that ur ovulating if u happen to NOT ovulate?

I'd have him seen by a urologist.

Here's more info.  It can sometimes be treated with medications.  They can also centrifuge the patients urine and separate out the sperm, and impregnate the woman that way.
