I was prompted to do a semin analysis b/c I have a varicocele. Just got back the results and after studying the numbers, I am looking for a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys more clarity. Doctor says everything is ok but I want a second opinion.
My concerns -
According to the world health organization, motility should be >50%. In my case, rapid progression is 50% but Average (or normal) progression is only 30% - should this be of concern?
Also, what are Leukocytes? Does their presence in semen indicate an infection?
Overall, what are your thoughts on my results?
Thanks in advance, I am eagerly awaiting your reply.
Leukocytes are white blood cells and are often present in Semen. (I believe)
My DH just had his done and they say they like to see 50% rapid motility after an hour, DH was less than 30% and so are chances are not great to concieve on our own, but definitly can happen, so I would think with 50% you should be fine.
If you look at the numbers, it actually looks like they add up to 100%. Only 15% were non-motile and 5% were slow, while 80% were motile (30% normal plus 50% rapid)...so I think your DH's motility numbers sound very good.

StillTrying - my test says >50% Average (or normal) motility is normal while >25% Rapid Progression is normal. Best of luck to you.
I've google Leukocytes in semen but the answers seem to all be inconclusive and debatable. Any idea what the High Powered Field means?
