I am going to start my 6 month of Clomid next week and was wondering if anyone has gotten preg during there 6 month of Clomid. My doctor concidered raising my dose to 100mg this month but decided not too. I have a 2 year old that was conceived on the 3 month of Clomid but the difference was that then I started the Clomid on day 3 and only took it for 3 days (50mg) and never had any problems with the side effects of Clomid. Now am taking it on days 5-9 and still at 50mg but have had a few cysts. I have considered taking the Clomid as I did when I got preg with my daughter. I have taked it for 5 months the other way and nothing yet. Any suggestions?
sorry i cant help u just thought id let u know my dr wont let me do more than 3mths of clomid without a break coz it thins your lining. does your dr check your lining?
My RE will only do 3-4 months of Clomid before moving on. His theory is if it does not work in that amount of time, it's time to move on.
Are you going to an RE?
I would definitely look into going to a reproductive endocrinologist instead of a regular doctor. Clomid most certainly can thin your lining as well as create hostile CM, so it's a bit of a double edged sword.
My RE also says that the chances of clomid working after three rounds that are unsuccessful is slim to none, and it's time to move on because it's just a waste of money, so you might go in for a second opinion with someone else...
