Women of Strength!!!

by mommyin10, Nov 04, 2009 08:09PM
A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

All-
Just when you thought it couldn't get worse...it does.  Yesterday while here at work I went to the bathroom around 11:30, had lunch and almost 2 hours later went pee again.  This time my panties were wet through to my pants.  Just a little on my pants but still, in two hours?  I've noticed a lot more discharge on a daily basis with being pregnant and the book says it's normal so I didn't really think too much about it but in two hours I had seen more than I typically do in 8 hours plus it was clear and thin like water.  I called my nurse Kathy and she talked to the Dr and he wanted me to come in right away.  He did a PH test and some "pedatric" scope and said it looked clear of amniotic fluid but I need to be careful b/c I am so high risk due to my smaller uterus and high risk for preterm labor.  DH asked if it was due to us having intercorse Saturday and told him that I had some weird pains for two days after that.  Doc said it might be and from now on we need to refrain from any sex.  The funny thing is we've only done it about 4 times since I got pregnant and every time there has been some issue, this, or bleeding, or cramps.  Doctor is very interested in my anatomy scan on monday and told me to ask them the length of my uterus to see how much room we are actually working with.  It is all very scary and today I am SO sore from his poking around.  He checked my cervix and said it feels hard and closed just like it should.  Poor Doc looks at DH like "I'm sorry I'm about to shove my hand up her paper dress".  LOL  I wonder if it is as hard for him as it is us sometimes?  K, so that's it for now.  Well see what happens from now until Monday.  I am ready for the weekend.

by Keyan, Nov 05, 2009 06:51AM
sbumbleebleo: what a scare! I am glad your cervix is closed!! ...My cousing and her DH tells me that during both pregnancies, they didn't have intercorse since the time they found out she was pregnant....not that it was order by a doc or anything, just by choice...they wanted to make sure that nothing they did would harm the baby.. probably dh and I decide also on not having any sex...after 4years of ttc...lots of BDing, a 9+ month period break doesn't seem so bad!!  I will keep you in my prayers hoping everything is fine and continues to be fine!

Ad_06: Good luck on your appt today! keep us posted!

Scripps: Good luck today!! Hoping you get a huge surprise!

Luvkayln: Happy 33 weeks!! How is Dh doing? what did the doc say!

Mommyin10: Happy 19 weeks!! Thanks for rubbing your double belly for me....I am starting to feel a little anxious, but I really want to wait after saturday (estimate AF due date) to take a test....ummmm perhaps tomorrow.....the issue with me not testing, is really because I don't have any HPT at home and I HATE to go to the drug store to buy them!! I feel like everyone is looking at me, and I hate to think someone that I know sees me buying the test and comes to me to ask the question!! agrrrrr!! maybe tonight I will stop at another city drug store and buy one!!

by luvkayln, Nov 05, 2009 07:24AM
sbumbleebleo: OMG, that is so scary!! I'm glad you called your doctor right away! That's awesome your cervix is still long and closed! But are they thinking you are leaking amniotic fluid??! I'm with Keyan on the whole sex thing. Dh and I don't have sex, we probably only have about 4 or 5 times this whole pregnancy! I just know that's how we lost Kayln, although we were having a little rougher sex when it happened, it still scares the hell out of me to even attempt to have sex, especially since we're so close to having her now! It's just not worth it! Like Keyan said, after all we go through to try and even get pregnant, why risk anything when it comes to your baby? And if you're having issues after, I agree with the doctor that you should refrain. The weekend will be here and gone before you know it, and we'll all be praying for great results on Monday for you sweetie! But I know everything will be OK! Just take it easy! :)

Kmcarino- Good luck with your u/s today! Too bad you're not able to post pics of your 2 sweeties! So, what is the vbs testing that you're getting soon? Is that on the babies?? Update after your appointment today! :)

Ad_06- Yes, we're all praying for lots of nice big follies for you today!!! :) I'm glad you had a nice birthday, and I know you'll get great news today and have another wonderful day! Can't wait for your update!!! :)

Scripps- Good luck with your beta today!! I'm praying for great news!!! :)

Keyan-OMG, i'm totally stalking your chart! lol ;) It  looks GREAT! I would be going crazy right now wanting to buy a test if my chart looked that awesome! I think you're such a strong person to want to wait tho, just to see if AF wants to show up, but I really have an awesome feeling that this is your month girlie!!! :)

Mommyin10- Happy 19 weeks! Woo hoo!!!! :) Thanks for the photo comments! I know, isn't she just a little cutie, already showing off! lol ;) I just love her so much and I am just SO proud of her that she's improving so much each week! It's just an awesome feeling to know that she's doing so great and is doing above and beyond on her tests each week! :)

Ok, so Sean's appointment went really well! (Keyan, thanks for asking! :) At the ER, they told him they would have to have surgery, no matter what! But at the surgeon's office yesterday, he said they measure the fracture in levels, and Sean's is at a 2 and they operate at 4 and above, so that's good news! :) They gave him some more pain pills and something to help start bringing the swelling down. He'll have to stay in his sling for a while, but I'm so glad that he should be nice and healed by the time Addy comes! :) Ok, we're starving! Addy doesn't know what day light savings time is! Haha!! :) Hope everyone has a great day!!! :)

by kmcarino, Nov 05, 2009 08:46AM
luvkayln- The CVGS is a test done around 10-11 weeks on each baby to check for any chromosomal problems, tell the gender, and also to see if the babies have my disorder or not.  There is a 50% chance.  I will update after my appointment:)

by pyar, Nov 05, 2009 08:47AM

luvkayln-  Great news for DH!  I'm so glad.  I've been watching for an update.  I still didn't read how he even managed to do this in the first place?  Fourwheeler accident or something?  I'm glad you're ok and no surgery.

Keyan-  Thanks for your thoughts.  I am with you.  Sex isn't important to me at or DH at all right now.  I just want to get through this pregnacy and end up with a healthy baby.

mommyin10-  Happy 19 weeks.  Just a few more days and we have our anatomy scans.  I can't wait.

sbumblebeeo:  Thanks :)  Yes, I can't wait for yours & my anatomy scans!  Will they check your cervix length that day, too?  I think you should ask or ask your doc beforehand to suggest it.  That's how I got mine checked.  I'm sorry you had such a scare!  I know it's reassuring to have at least your doc check to see you're still closed up! ;)  When the high risk doc checked my cervix length, it was done via vaginal u/s & it was a doc and u/s tech in the room.  They mentioned being careful with the u/s wand just in case there was already "funneling", meaning the cervix is starting to open, because the wand could make it worse.  Just hearing that made me think NO SEX!  Luckily all was well with mine, but I'm with the rest of you.  Dh and I have not had sex since we found out I was pregnant.  We can wait til our babies are safely home :)  Just a few more days for you!!! :)

Keyan:  Thanks =)  I'm with luvkayln, I'm stalking your chart too & it looks GREAT!!! =)  I know how you feel about buying hpts.  It's not something you want to explain to anyone, so I would always buy them in between work and home ;)  I'm really excited for you & I will definitely keep rubbing my belly for luck!!!  I know it worked for me when Stacey & luvkayln rubbed theirs for me :)

Pyar:  Good luck with the bloodwork!!!

scripps:  Good luck with your beta! :)

ad_06:  I hope your appt goes well today & you have lots of follies ready to go this cycle! =)  Update asap!

kmcarino:  Good luck today!

luvkayln:  I'm so glad to hear that dh won't need surgery!  What a relief! :)  Now he can relax with you & get all set for Addy's arrival.  Thank God he'll be able to hold his baby when she's born =)  We're already coming up on another u/s for you!!!  Time is just flying by =)

by mommyin10, Nov 05, 2009 01:48PM
Okay, ladies. I'm not freaking out or anything, but my babies need a few extra prayers ;) My ob/gyn called to let me know the bloodwork I did last week came back positive for Down's Syndrome... It doesn't mean one or both babies will have it, but just that I'm at a higher risk. My results came back as 1/54. At my age & the stage in my pregnancy, my results should be 1/150 or higher. So, we scheduled an amnio for our appt next Wed. The anatomy scan can show findings for Down's or other problems, but can also miss 20%. So, we'll meet with the genetic counselor, do the anatomy scan & the amnio. It'll be a long day, hopefully not too emotional... I'm wondering if my testing was done with knowledge I'm having twins or if that even makes a difference. Just 6 days to go...

by sbumblebeeo, Nov 05, 2009 03:02PM
mommyin10-  OMG!  I am so sorry that you didn't get great results of no chance of DS.  Just one more thing to worry about.  I will definetly have you in my thoughts when I go to sleep tonight and pray it all turns out to just be a scare!

Chin up, positive thoughts...

XOXO

by mommyin10, Nov 05, 2009 06:23PM
To: sbumblebeeo
Thanks :) I'm staying positive & will hope for great results next week. I read that there's a greater chance of a false positive when you simply do a blood test, as well as my age. So, with the amnio & anatomy scan next week, we should have some answers :) Thanks for your sweet comments. :)

by kmcarino, Nov 05, 2009 06:55PM
mommyin10- I am sorry about yoru blood work results, but like you said, it does not mean that either oen of the babies has Downs.  I really hope that the amniop and anatomy scan will show that both babies are healthy.

AFM, I have some sad news.  Baby B did not make it.  We did nto see or hear the heart beat.  I was confident that I would hear both heart beats today since we saw Baby B's heart rate last week, but the doctor could not see the baby at all...just the yolk sac.   She called my regular doctor and he wants me to come in next week to have him scan me.  I don't know what difference that will make but I have to get blood work anyway for the CVS.  I am so sad that I lost this baby.  This was probably the one that does not have the disorder.

by ad_06, Nov 05, 2009 08:14PM
Sorry it took so long for me to update. We did some Christmas shopping today. Everything went GREAT!!! I have 2 follies that are ready :) He was soooo busy today, they were running like an hour behind, so he never said how big they were or anything.....after the u/s he gave me a perscription for Overdril (250mcg), I had to run to Walgreens and get it and take it back there. I got my shot and we are doing IUI in the morning! Yay! I have never taken Overdril, so hopefully it does make them release. I told the nurse about the progesterone and she said that they will give me a script for it tomorrow and usually you start taking it 3 days after the IUI. Keep your fingers crossed girls!!!! I'm so excited!!!

by mommyin10, Nov 05, 2009 09:02PM
kmcarino: I'm so sorry to hear about baby b ;( If the doc wants you to see your regular doc next week, does that mean there's still hope?

Ad_06: Congrats on two beautiful follies & best wishes for your iui tomorrow! :)

by ad_06, Nov 06, 2009 04:59AM
Okay ladies.....today is the day :) I just have a ? Like I said I have never taken Overdril before, so I don't know what to expect. Will it give me a + OPK, just because I took it. Or am I really O? I tested late last night and got a smiley, and got another one this morning :) I just wanted to be sure that Overdril doesn't give you a false +. Hopefully the nurse will do an U/S too, so I know that they released. So I guess after today I will finally be in the tww!!

by Keyan, Nov 06, 2009 05:51AM
Mommyin10: I am sorry you have a new thing to worry about ;o) ... I will def keep you and the babies on my prayers!

Kmcarino: I am sorry about baby B ;o(

Ad_06: Congrats on the +opk, Good luck today with the IUI!!

So yesterday night me and dnikki were able to meet here in PR and it was really nice to meet her and dh....and awww I GOT to RUB her Belly!! (thanks dnikki)... she has the cutes belly bump and a beautiful pregnancy glow!!

I decide to buy an HPT yesterday right after work and of course I couldn't wait until today, so I got a BFN yesterday afternoon ;o( ...I am a little sad, but now I am just preparing myself for AF, so it was a good idea after all to take test....I just hope AF doesn't keep me waiting.

by luvkayln, Nov 06, 2009 07:11AM
Keyan- How cool that you and dnikki got to meet yesterday! :) I'm sure you loved rubbing her belly! Aww...! ;) I'm sorry about the bfn tho, but don't give up hope! I know it's better to prepare for the worst, but Addy still has her little fingers crossed for you! ;) I'll check your chart out here in a minute, it's been looking SO great, I just think you should wait and see if AF does show and then maybe retest WHEN she doesn't! ;)

Mommyin10- I'm sorry about the blood test, but you're absolutely right! Those things give such a high rate of false positives, that's why I never get them! My doctor with Kayln warned me of that, and so that's when I decided I would never take them b/c why stress out for nothing?! I know you had to get the test done b/c of the babies being boy/girl from one embryo (Possibly!) and that's interesting that you probably do get a much more unaccurate result if there are 2! We'll just be patient for next week, and I just know you'll get great results!! :)

Ad_06- Wow, congrats on your 2 beautiful follies and how exciting you get your iui today! Gosh, it's a good thing your u/s was yesterday, you may have missed your O!! lol ;) That was quick! ;) The Ovidrel will give you a + on your opk, but it WILL ensure that you ovulate! I've taken them with every iui cycle, and actually they should do an u/s tomorrow to ensure that you did ovulate. Just ask them about it. They won't do one before your iui because you want your eggs to be there right now. :) Good luck!! I'm confident this is your month!! :)

sbumblebeeo: Thanks, I'm relieved he didn't have to have surgery either! :) He's still taking it easy, but like Mommyin10 said, it's a huge relief that he can actually hold Adalynn when she's born! :) Oops, did I forget to tell you all how it happened?! Well, he's a tree trimmer, and he lifted these huge tree stumps onto the trailor and that's what we're pretty sure did it. The surgeon "rates" the break of the bone, and anything over a 4 needs surgery and his is only at a 2, so that's good! :) I hope you're continuing to take it easy! Monday will be here before you know it! :)

Kmcarino-OMG, I'm so sorry about baby b! :( I know how heartbreaking it is, especially after seeing them both perfectly fine last week! Let's just pray for baby a that he/she stays strong! When will you do the testing for your disorder and when will you get the results? I know what happened last time, and it makes me nervous for you to test this baby, but I pray that this pregnancy turns out different for you! :)

Scripps- How'd your beta go yesterday??

Dnikki- Hope you're having a great time! :) I bet it was cool getting to meet Keyan! I bet she's even sweeter in person! ;)

by luvkayln, Nov 06, 2009 07:13AM
Keyan- Your chart still looks absolutely awesome!! Remember, we weren't EXACTLY sure when you O'd, it may have been a day or two off, so please wait and don't give up!! I really do have a great feeling for you this month!!! :)

by scripps, Nov 06, 2009 07:39AM
To: Everyone
Hello everybody,
mommyin10: I so admire your strength and hope that all will be well.
kmcarino: You too deserve a break, so my thoughts are with you.
keyan: I struggle with the hpt's too.  I bought a bunch when I was in the U.S. this summer and made myself crazy with them this cycle, because for 2 days, it looked like they might be positive.  I think I might avoid them from now on.
luvkayln: It's so nice that you have time for everyone.  You must be getting so excited.

So, my bloodwork showed no pregnancy.  I did some research on the estrogen, and it seems that it should be low at this point.  In fact, it's better that it is, since low estrogen at the beginning of a cycle usually leads to better stimulating.  My period started yesterday, so today is day 2.

I was very disappointed when my new doctor didn't call me yesterday.  He had the bloodwork results, and I left a message.  He had told me to stay on the medications until he could see the results of the second test, but then he never called, never responded to my message.  When I talked to him today, he told me to start treatment--and he hadn't told me to take anything for this month, so I think he was confused about who I am!!!  I mean, there's no way I could do ivf's back to back, and he never gave me a protocol to follow if we got a negative result.  I suppose he might have returned my call without looking at the file, and maybe he's tired too, and maybe I just expect too much, but I can't tell  you how upsetting I find that kind of inaccuracy.  I went through it with my last doctor, and I just can't bear it again.  We're seeing him on Monday, and he really needs to win back my trust.

I hope we all get some rest this weekend.

by kmcarino, Nov 06, 2009 07:58AM
mommyin10- The doctor I saw last night called the doctor I usually see and who saw me last week.  She wanted to talk to him about what he actually saw.  He told her that he saw the yolk sac, fetal pole, and heart beat.  He told her that he wanted to bring me in early next week for HIM to scan me, which I don't really understand why since it can't make a difference if Baby B already passed.  I don't think there is any hope since they definitely saw its heart beat last week and I don't see how it could go backwards in development.

luvkayln- I am feeling so very down right now.  Your note made me cry.  I can't bear to think of the same thing happening as last time.  I am also very nervous about getting the results from the CVS.  The CVS will most likely be on Monday Nov. 22nd and I will get the gender results and whether there are any chromosomal concerns the day or so after and will get the result of whether it has my disorder around two weeks and one day after the CVS, so around Dec. 8th.  You will already have Addy in your arms when I find out--that is so very exciting for you:)

by sbumblebeeo, Nov 06, 2009 08:06AM
kmcarino-  I'm very sorry to hear about baby B.  I was so convinced that you would get to see to perfect little beings.  I truly didn't see this coming.  I am so sad for you.  These pregnancy hormones some times get the best of me and I sit at this stupid PC and drip tears into my keyboard.  :(  So much bad news lately.  You, mommyin10, scripps...and then there's my scare with the leaking fluid.  Well let me just say when it rains it pours, and on all of us apparently.  The next round it going to be great news.  You will find out that baby A is perfectly normal, mommyin10 will soon see that the babies have NO DS, scripps will get her BFP next month and me...I'm going to find out exactly what my uterus looks like and be able to relax a little.  That's just the way it's going to be or my name isn't....SHANNON!  (And it is)   :)   Try to chear up.  I can't imagine how you feel.  I am sorry.

ad_06:  Good luck today!!! =)  I think luvkayln's comments must have made you feel confident, huh?!  Please update asap!  It seems like this cycle just snuck up on all of us =)

kmcarino: I'm leaivng your status the same for now...  when is your next appt?  Have you considered bypassing the testing or are you pretty set on it?  I just know how stressful it can be...

scripps:  I'm sorry for the negative beta ;(  I'm also sorry that you're not feeling confident with your doc.  Sure, he could be tired or overworked, but it's important that you feel like his most important client & get the accurate information you need.  I hope at your appt with him on Monday, he does regain your trust.  Take care!

Keyan:  I'll chek out your chart, but I agree with luvkayln...  don't expect AF just yet.  Everything looks so good & it is still early at 14dpo.  Wait through the weekend & see how you're feeling.  If AF doesn't show, test again!  We'll all be praying & rubbing bellies for you!!! =)  That's exciting that you & dnikki got to meet! =)

luvkayln:  Thank you!  It's funny how I keep getting news that could go either way & it initially freaks me out, but then I feel a sense of calm come over me.  I need to protect my babies & stay as optimistic as possible ;) I'm honestly not worried about DS.  It's scary to be told that you're in the range for "something", but I feel like we'll get great results next week.  You're right that the only reason we tested is because of our u/s last week...  DS is really the least of our concerns, but we're hoping and praying that our babies are perfectly healthy little ones! =)  On the 35 and over forum, women were posting their test results for DS in response to my concern & one was 1/18 and the amnio shows she has a perfectly healthy baby =)  So, just a few days to go...

sbumblebeeo:  Read my post to luvkayln :)  Just a few more days til your anatomy scan!  I'm so excited for you.  I heard they're done in 3D, so well really get to see our little ones :)  Have a great weekend!

by kmcarino, Nov 06, 2009 09:01AM
sbumblebeeo- Thank you so much for your support.  You are right--there has been some bad news and scares for everyone lately but hopefully everything will turn out well like you said.  I was also very confident that I would hear both heart beats but we didn't.  I am feeling pretty down today.  I still can't believe this has happened.

I know it's gotta be really hard, but try to stay positive for your little one. He/she needs mommy to be strong ;)

by ad_06, Nov 06, 2009 01:45PM
Hey ladies....I'm back! Everything went well. I'm just trying to figure out why I am spotting so much this time!?! I know that it's common, but it just worries me that maybe O isn't happening yet. I guess it's probably the fact that this was all the money we had, so if it doesn't work......it'll be a while before we try again. But I will try to stay positive.

The nurse didn't do the u/s like I wanted and I didn't ask her to because I didn't know if she'd charge me or not and we didn't have the extra money. I did ask for the progesterone.....so I start it on Monday. Twice a day. They said that if I get a BFP that I will be on it for the 1st 10 weeks. So that is good that I have that. She also told me to test in 14 days....and if I get a BFP to call and they will order bloodwork at my local hospital. So all in all today has been good.....just don't want to get let down, ya know? I am just going to try and stay busy and not think too much.... Maybe a BFP will sneak up on me like this cycle has.....lol

Have a wonderful weekend ladies!!!

Yay! Congrats on a successful IUI & getting your progesterone all lined up :) I don't know much about spotting after iui, but if you're concerned, call your nurse & see what she says. I agree with you. Stay busy & the time will pass more quickly, but be sure to take it easy, too :) Congrats & have a great weekend!

by ad_06, Nov 06, 2009 06:22PM
Mommyin10 - Thanks for the Congrats.... After the IUI today she told me that I might have some spotting, but it would just be coming from my cervix from having the IUI. The spotting is almost gone now. I was just concerned because if O was getting ready to happen my cervix would have been slightly opened. But I am not going to worry about it. I just thought I'd check in. I am going to go watch aliens in the attic with my stepson.

by pyar, Nov 07, 2009 03:14AM
mommyin10 I'm sorry to hear your news and I am praying for you and your little one's.You have a great positive attitude keep it up next week must feel a life time away.

by luvkayln, Nov 07, 2009 08:22AM
Kmcarino- I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to upset you! :( Did you see Mommyin10's post? Have you thought about maybe not doing the testing this time??

Ad_06- Congrats on your iui going so well! :) Ya, it's completely normal to have spotting after an iui! It's basically just from irritation from the actual procedure. Or it could be ovulation spotting as well, I've had that a couple times too! :) Either way, at least it's almost gone now! :) Welcome to your 2ww! Yayyy!!! :)

Keyan- Can't wait to see your temps today!!! :)

Officially only 30 days to go from today until miss addy will be here! :) I hope this last month doesn't drag on!!! I think if anything the last 2 weeks will because I won't be working! lol ;) I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

by LinaG, Nov 07, 2009 09:04AM
Want to share how my day started today and I will be short since I have to leave soon & will need to go to see my dear father and drink coffee with him!:)
I had Dr appointment today morning, Dr. was so surprised why our 1st IUI didn't had success, also he mention for 2nd time that he expected 10mil semen but my one & only DH had only 6mil but Dr said that also that number is not bad. :-)
I asked him again to do hormone check on me, he said NO, no need for that and also said that the values will not be realistic since I have already 1 follicle ?!?? I don't know anything!!!
But, I can say & I feel that he doesn't see any problem in me?!?! which makes me happy but I really want to check my hormones!!!:( Maybe I have any problem?!?
He did u/s today, even that I told him that I'm CD 4 & spotting ??? OK, his wish! thanks to Lord, I was clean :-) & we saw 1 follicle in my right ovary.
Next appointment will be on 11/18 for our next steps & u/s for follicle check!:-)

God bless U all & SSBD,
Love, Lina

YAY, just a month away!!! how exciting! ...do you have the welcome to the world celebration party all set for her? How about her room? are you working on a new project? maybe for the last two weeks, that is if you just can't lay around to relax, maybe you can start a project for her, I know that will help with the time, making it feel like is going by fast! ...about me, I've felt like AF was about to show anytime for the last week, and today, her actual day, no feelings at all! so I don't know what to think anymore. although I am really not too hopefull, but I will love to get a nice surprise! keep rubbing Addy's belly for me!

Kmcarino: I agree with Luvkayln and Mommyin10, maybe consider not having the test done and leave it in God's hand.

by kmcarino, Nov 07, 2009 09:13AM
mommyin10- I think my next appt. will be on Wed.  I have not made it yet since there is no one that can take me to it so we have to figure out a time dh can take me.  I wish that there was no need for me to have the testing done.  I wish I did not have to worry about this disorder but I do.  Yes, I have to have the testing done but I kinda wish that they did not know how to do prenatal testing and then I wouldn't have to have it done, but in that case, my husband would never take the risk of having kids with me.  Anyway, my CVS is scheduled for Monday Nov. 23 at 10:30.  Baby B is gone...no use holding on to her.

I hope everyone's having a nice weekend :) I haven't been sleeping well, as my hands. arms, shoulders & hips were falling asleep, but someone on the 35+ forum told me about a "Snoogle" pillow, which I ran out to get yesteday & I slept so good last night! :) Oh, I also got my H1N1 shot on Friday!

dnikki: Welcome Home :)

by ad_06, Nov 09, 2009 06:44AM
I can't believe it's Monday already! So I guess it's back to work :(  lol I have a pretty good weekend! I am just really tired. My bbs aren't sore yet, which they usually are after O, but who knows. I start the progesterone today! I hate a little bit of spotting again yesterday. Well I just thought I'd check in. I have to get ready for work.....it's another long day, I won't get home til 4 and have a meeting from 5-8. Fun fun.

Have a nice day ladies!

sbumblebeeo: Thinking of you today!! Update asap and post pics of your beautiful baby!! :) Yayy, we get to find out if it's a boy or girl today, right??? :)

Keyan- We don't have any new projects started for Addy, but did get her highchair put together yesterday and got her stroller and car seat all cleaned and ready to go! I came home last night from a meeting at work, and just seeing all her stuff ready for her outside of her room was awesome! I felt like I was going to see Sean holding her in the living room, just waiting for me to get home! :) I can't wait for that!!! :) I left a note on your chart, but OMG girl!! If that's not a perfect chart, I don't know what is!! I can't wait to see what they are this morning, and to see your results if you decide to test today!! Everything's crossed for you sweetie!!! :)

Ad_06- Congrats on starting your progesterone today! :) Although I hated it b/c it irritated me, it actually was not a bother at all the month I got pregnant! lol ;) Hopefully your day goes by quickly, although it does sound like it will be a long one! Yuck!

Dnikki- Welcome home!! :) Got any pics to share from your trip?

Mommyin10- Just 2 more days to go, yayyy!!! :) I'm SO ready for this appointment of yours on Wednesday! I know everything will be just fine though! ;) I'm glad you were able to get some sleep finally! I've never heard of this pillow before?? It sounds amazing! :) Thanks for adding the countdown by my name! I just can't believe it... only 28 more days! :)

Happy Monday! :)

Mommyin10: Good luck with everything on Wed. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine :-) Keeping you and babies in my thoughts and prayers :-) It was great meeting Keyan! She and her husband are such nice people! As far as sleeping goes - I don't have a snoogle, but I do have a full body pillow that works wonders lol!! Yay for getting your H1N1 vaccine!

Keyan: I have sooo many bug bites on my feet and lower legs!! They itch like crazy! I hope you don't have as many bites! Still rubbing my belly for you :-) Any sign of AF yet? Hope all is well with you :-) Is it okay with you to post the 2 pics of us together?

Ad: Yay for IUI!!! When will you test?

AFM: We got back late Saturday night from Puerto Rico. We had a lot of fun, but we were ready to come home to cooler weather lol! The resort grounds and beach and such that we were at are just beautiful!! I'm going to post pics as long as MH picture upload doesn't give me problems again. As most of you know, DH and I met Keyan and her DH one night there - she is such a sweet person!!! We had a great dinner together except for the bug bites that we suffered from eating outside lol!
I have an appt. today at 1010, so I'll update more when I get back. She's still moving around quite a bit! Sometimes there is so much pressure "down there" it feels like she is going to come out - I don't remember having that with DS. She'll also ball up on one side of my abdomen and it's like she pushes as hard as she can! But, I'll update more later today - also, I should be going in for my 1hr glucose test very soon (yuck!!)!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

dnikki:  Welcome home & thanks for your comments re: my appt on Wed.  I have to admit I'm nervous about the amnio & u/s results, but I know we're making the right decision for us, so I'll stay strong :)  I can't wait to get some answers :)  That's wonderful that you were able to spend some time with Keyan & you had a great time!  I can't wait to see the pics =)  The snoogle is like a full-body pillow, but the body part is skinnier and each end curls over, so it fits your body more snug.  It's funny 'cause any time I get up to use the restroom or move even an inch, Carmelo is right there to take my place!  He loves it too =)  Good luck at your appt today!!!

luvkayln:  28 more days!!! =)  And you get to see her again tomorrow!  That's so exciting =)  Thanks for being so positive with me about Wed.'s appt.  I am nervous, but I think more excited to see the babies again & to get some answers :)  I looked at baby clothes again this weekend, but I held back & made myself wait...

Quick update...I will log in later

I think is time to start the AF cheer for me ;o( ....I tested this morning 2ndFMU and BFN on a clear blue digital. ....my bbs were sore up to yesterday...not as sore as today, so maybe she will show up later today....I just don't want her to delay it anymore!!

Dnikki: Welcome Back!! ...yes you can upload our pic! and unfortunately I was going to ask the same about the bug bites...I have over 17 on my right feet and a few less on my left!!!

I will respond later to everyone else....thanks Mommy and Luvkayln!! but although my charts even looks made up!! I got my BFN ;o(

by dnikki0928, Nov 09, 2009 11:35AM
Keyan: Come on AF come on!!! I will upload the pics later today or tomorrow. I have so many bug bites too! I went for a walk on the beach early Saturday morning and it had rained that night but I really didn't think anything of it...So yes, I have red bumps on my lower legs and my feet. I even have some bites on the bottom! Those are the worst! I hope AF shows later today or tomorrow morning!!!

Mommyin10: I believe you are also doing the right thing - and you are being very strong through it all. I just know everything will turn out just fine :-)

Luvkayln: Your induction date is almost here!!! I will post pics later today or tomorrow...I have to work 4-9 tonight and I'm going to take a nap when DS goes down for his nap :-)

AFM: My anatomy scan from 9/21 came back with the same thing DS had when I was p/g with him - tiny bilateral choroid plexus cysts. They aren't concerned as they are tiny and they should resolve themselves by my next u/s like it did with DS. I go for another full anatomy scan on 12/1 and then my glucose test and next appt. is on 12/3. Just keep Peyton in your thoughts and prayers and that these go away... Other than that, everything seems fine :-)

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

by mommyin10, Nov 09, 2009 11:52AM
dnikki: Thanks :) So, was today your anatomy scan results or also an u/s? Peyton will definitely be in my thoughts & prayers! I'm sure that since big brother was okay, she will be too ;) Take care!

Keyan: I'll cheer for AF only if you insist. I can't believe your chart looks so good... Is it possible you actually O'd closer to the time of your big dip? I want the best for you, so if AF's on her way, let's get her here! If there's a possibility, I'm still rubbing away ;)

by Keyan, Nov 09, 2009 01:19PM
Mommyin10: I was thinking that maybe I Oed last week when I was having tons of CM, and so if I did, although I was feeling AF type of symptoms and not O, we missed our oportunity...I know I felt O type of symptoms before the 23rd (my O estimate) so I am very confused...but I just hope is my cycle trying to get back to normal and that's it....my worry is that PCOS (the recent diagnosis) is making an impact on my cycles....I've gone up to cd33 before...and today I think I am cd31....but please keep rubbing your belly if it wasn't this cycle...hopefully the next one will.....I am praying hard for good news on wednesday.

Dnikki: I am glad you and the doc aren't concerned about this...and yes I will pray those cysts go away pretty fast! .....sorry about the bugs ;o( ...I had to get some medicine, the bite spots were very irritated, they are better now. I was looking at your pics the other day, DS is soo cute and the pic were your dogs are and the snow...that was one of my favorite! ...I don't know how I missed those pics before.

Luvkayln: Thansks for your support...unfortunately this was not our cycle ;o( ...I know about my chart, it looks great...I was thinking that if it wasn't me the one keeping I think the temps was made up... LOL! .....it must be very nice to see all of Addy's new stuff and knowing that in a few days she will be there with you...how exciting...be sure to upload more belly pics....maybe once a week...I know she gets bigger everytime! good luck at your u/s tomorrow...throw a kiss to her from me!

by ad_06, Nov 09, 2009 03:11PM
Well I got off work sooner then I thought I would...but still have my meeting at 5, so it's still going to drag on! lol  I will sleep good tonight though.

dnikki- The nurse told me to test at 14 dpiui, but I think I might start testing sooner then that. I don't want to get a false + from the Overdril.....so if I test sooner and keep testing til it's neg....I know if I get a pos after that then it's the real thing :)

So about testing, should I start testing at 11 dpiui? I just don't want to get my hopes up getting a BFP.....if it's just the shot!?! What do you ladies think?

by mommyin10, Nov 09, 2009 04:02PM
ad_06: Is Ovidrel like an HCG trigger? I'm not familiar w/Ovidrel, but I know with the trigger, it was out of my system 11 days after I took it. I got a negative on an hpt at 11dpo (or 6 dpt), then a very faint positive the next day :) Good luck!!!

Keyan: Okay, then... Come on, AF! I understand if she's coming, we might as well cheer her on; but, yes, I will keep rubbing my belly for next time ;) I know it su cks, but hopefully it's not the pcos & it's just your cycle trying to get back on track. This was your first cycle ttc in a long time. You've definitely got a cheering section here :) Stay positive!!!

To: Everyone
Our meeting with the doctor went well.  He answered our questions about the estrogen and has a new protocol.  I feel so tired that I'm trying to make taking care of my physical state more of a priority.

mommyin10: I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
kmcarino: I hope you are o.k.

I have to get back to work, but all the best to all of you.

by ad_06, Nov 10, 2009 06:49AM
mommyin10- I was thinking that it was like the HCG, but I might be wrong. I'll test at 10 or 11 dpiui and see what I get.

Yesterday was a long day. Right before I had to go to my meeting my sister in law called and told me that one of my friends husband committed suicide. It really bothered me, I can't imagine what she is going through....they have been together for many years got married in 08 and had their daughter in march 09. It's crazy. I was in complete shock because they weren't having any problems or anything.....I just don't know how someone could do that to their family. Just keep her in you thoughts and prayers.

ad_06: Sounds like a plan! :) I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's husband. There's really no understanding something like that. He must have been keeping a lot of heartache bottled up inside... I can't imagine leaving a baby like that ;(

dnikki: Yay! I'll check out your pics :)

ad: I'm so sorry for the news.... Keeping you and them in my thoughts and prayers... ((HUGS))

AFM: Okay, Sunday I wasn't feeling well - just light headed and not really feeling well. So I just kind of laid around and didn't do anything (house work and such...). Yesterday I was feeling better (I thought) so I didn't bring it up to my OB. Last night at work I got really hot - not like a hotflash b/c I stayed hot. I worked my shift and when I would feel that hot I would feel like I was going to get sick. The lightheadedness continued. I got home, took a quick shower and layed down. I got really hot again and just felt aweful. This morning I'm still lightheaded and just don't feel like doing anything. I have no fever, my BP is fine but my pulse seems a little high - high 90's to 103 has been the highest on my BP monitor. I called the OB's office and I'm waiting for a nurse to call me back...UGH, I hope I didn't pick up any funk while we were away!!! I called work first thing this morning and asked my schedule and I have a 5 & 6 appt. I told them I would come in and do those, but to block me the rest of the night. I don't think they were happy, but at this point I really don't care. I'll get a note from the OB if they want...I'll update more later :-)

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all  :-)

by Keyan, Nov 10, 2009 11:39AM
Dnikki: I am sorry you aren't feeling well. when you talk to your OB tell him about the insects bite....I did get a little warmer than usual, even took my temp because DH said I was having a fever, is was 99 on Sunday afternoon (but I was feeling fine, just warm), so just in case. My feet are better than how it was on the weekend. Hope is nothing serious.

Mommyin10: I will be praying for a very good appt tomorrow.

Ad_06: I am really sorry about the news....today I saw on the news about a 6year old that tried to comite suicide, a 6 year old!! ...her mom found her in the bathroom and gave her CPR and she is doing good...the girl said she was tired of her school teacher calling her a dumb child...this new was really sick to hear...and the only reason I am sharing this here, is because we need to be very involved in our children and other family member's life and keep praying for a healthier world and families....this can not keep happening...there is always a solution.

Luvkayln: can't wait for you update!!

by Stacey1718, Nov 10, 2009 01:58PM
Mommyin10 - Thinking of you and praying for an appt with good news for you guys tomorrow!!  I'm so glad you have stayed so positive.  It's the best for your babies and everything will be just fine!!

Luvkayln - I cannot believe you are so so close to meeting your Abby!  Hope your u/s was good and Addy was nice and active for you!

Keyan - Praying for you!!  It is your first month ttc and your body probably needs a month or so to get back on track.  It is going to happen soon my friend!

Sorry I have not been around too much.  Jake and I have been pretty busy and I've been trying to get him on a routine which is really helping.  We have transitioned him to sleep in the crib at night and last night he slept for 7 hours straight.  It was really nice!  I hope he keeps it up!!  I'll post some more pics soon.

SSBD friends!

I posted some new pics! :)

by luvkayln, Nov 10, 2009 02:22PM
sbumblebeeo: Patiently waiting for your update!! ;) I can't wait to see pics of your little boy or girl! :)

Keyan- Thanks for the note! :) I looked at your chart... what's going on?! I refuse to cheer for AF ONLY b/c I really think you O'd later than what we originally thought! Do you feel like she's near??

Stacey- That's awesome you're getting Jake into a routine! :) I'm sure dh loves being able to sleep in his own bed now, lol! :) Can't wait to see new pics!!!

Ad_06- Yes, the ovidrel is just like the hcg shot, so it should be out of your system 10 days after taking it. I'm just so sorry to hear about your friend's husband! That's awful! :( I can't imagine what she's going through right now! And right before the holidays!! :( She's definately in my prayers, along with the rest of the family!

Dnikki- I'm sorry you're not feeling well! Hopefully the nurse will call you back soon! Try and rest as much as possible! Maybe it's just from the sudden change of environment?? Let us know what they say! I'll check out your pics! :)

Mommyin10- Are you starting to get nervous for your appointment tomorrow? Stacey is definately right, you are awesome for staying so positive through these last 2 weeks! :) I have a feeling that everything is OK, but until you get that news it's hard not to think about it, ya know? I think it'll be amazing if it is in fact a boy and a girl, resulting from 2 embryos. 1 through ivf, and 1 natural! :) What time is your appoinemnt? I'll be checking in all day until you update! :)

AFM: My appointment went great! :) Addy was very active during her u/s, and was practicing breathing right away again! It was so cute b/c the nurse was saying HI to her, and she started blinking her eyes and smiled at us! :) We didn't get her weight today, but will for the last time next Tuesday. She said to just add a pound to her weight next week, and that'll be right around her birth weight! After our u/s, we did our NST, and she was asleep the whole time! I was amazed b/c she was SO active during her u/s, and then just passed right out! lol ;) She has to move at least 3 times w/ a heart rate jump after each in order to pass her test. So the nurse gave me some water to drink, and she reacted right away and moved. Then went right back to sleep! So to get her to move the other 2 times, they had to get the buzzer and zap my belly! It definately scared her.. aww! :( But she moved and passed! :) I also asked my doctor about the baby aspirin, b/c I've read that you are supposed to stop taking it before birth b/c it can cause complications during labor since it's a blood thinner. She said that's why they normally have you stop 1 week ahead, so at the end of the month I'll need to quit taking it. It's crazy to think I only have 3 more appointments until I have her! Yayy!! :)

by dnikki0928, Nov 10, 2009 02:31PM
Heard from the OB's office - they are thinking possibly a fluctuation in my blood sugar. I'm thinking they might think I have gestational diabetes. I was told to eat a high protein, low carb/no sugar diet. I told her everything that was going on and that I though maybe the one time my bs was low, so I had a couple or pieces of candy and it didn't help. She said No, stay away from the candy!!! CR AP! I will try to follow the diet as best I can, but for breakfast it's hard. I eat cereal (not the kind with a lot of sugar) or a bagel and such and that's carbs!!! ARGH! So, I'm supposed to see if it helps but my glucose test is 3wks away!!! Maybe I can call back tomorrow and see if I can get it done this week since I'm basically 26 wks?

by luvkayln, Nov 10, 2009 02:33PM
Dnikki- Yes, you can have it sooner! I had my glucose test at 26 weeks too, so maybe just ask? I hope that's not what it is tho!

by mommyin10, Nov 10, 2009 03:20PM
dnikki: I was going to guess it was your blood sugar dropping. I'm hypoglycemic & once I tried the South Beach diet, it regulated my levels really well :) I had an episode about a month ago where I got dizzy & sweaty & it was my blood sugar dropping. It's scary, but very manageable. I agree, call to move up your gestational diabetes testing. That would be too hard to wait so long.

Keyan: Thank you! :)

Stacey: It's so good to hear from you! :) I'll definitely check out your new pics! I'm so happy to hear Jake's doing so well & settling into a routine :) Thanks for thinking of me. I am nervous, but anxious for my appt. The amnio results won't come back right away, but hopefully the scan will alleviate our concerns :)

luvkayln: Sounds like everything went perfectly! What a cutie, flashing her smile, then fast asleep ;) I can imagine your thoughts when they used the buzzer. Yikes! ;( But it's good she's doing do well & it's just 27 days til her b-day!!! My appt is at 9:00, but we have the counseling, anatomy scan & amnio, so it'll be a long day! I'm off because it's Veterans Day, so I'll be home resting afterwards. I'll definitely check in :)

mommyin10 & luvkayln-

Sorry to keep you guys waiting.  It has been a rollar coaster of emotions and I have been extremly busy.  Before I get started. luvkayln, I hope your appointment went well today and mommyin10, I can't wait to hear your news.

As for me... the appointment went GREAT!  Too great actually.  I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop but I am praying even harder that it doesn't.  So without further hesitation...  IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!  No Dominic. We are having a Shelby Rachel instead.  I was SOOOOO unbelievably happy when they said "there is your daughters labia".  Larry said  "did he say daughter"?  It was so cute.  Then his eyes teared up and he said he had to sit down.  We wanted a girl so bad.  I would have loved a boy but we really wanted a girl and so did my mom.  She went too.  She was hoping around the room and I just layed there in complete shock!  It was the best day so far.  Even the day I tested positive doesn't compare to this.  She is 11 ouces which is absolutely perfect for where we are and my cervic length looks good.  We may not even need the shots but he's going to start checking it at every appointment to make sure it doesn't start to soften up at all but for now he is very happy with my progress.  We are still on major restrictions from the leaking last week but that seems to have gotten better too.  Our due date is still 4-3-2010 until we have a daughter.  I can't even tell you how weird that sounds to me.  I NEVER thought this would happen.  I never believed that we would actually get here.  I always hoped but never believed.  I almost don't know what to do with myself now that the journey is almost over.  I am focusing on enjoying everyday with her.  Our family!!!  After the doctors appointment I called off work and went shopping!  I had to buy pink stuff.  By the time I got home I had to head straight for the couch.  I over did it of course but we're ok.  Today I had a work thing that lasted for well over 12 hours but I didn't want to keepyou waiting any longer.  I'm gong back to the couch.  My doctor would not be very happy with me right now... but   I'M   HAVING   MY   GIRL  !  ! ! ! ! ! !!  YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again mommyin10-  LOTS OF LUCK TOMORROW.  I didn't forget about you one bit in my excitement.

XOXO

You have a beautiful little Shelby Rachel growing inside of you & she's doing so well :) I don't blame you for taking off to shop! Believe me, I'm ready :) So, looks like we have girls on our due date list... Let's see what my scan shows ;) Thanks for the well wishes & a BIG CONGRATS again!!!! :-)

I talked to my friend and she seems to be doing okay given the tragedy. She just said she didn't know what she was going to do, but she has to keep going because she has her daughter to take care of.

My stepson is sick....he started running a low fever yesterday and coughing....today his fever got higher along with a headache, stomach cramps, vomitting, tiredness and aches! They called his dr and they said he has H1N1, but they wouldn't test him for it!?! How can you DX something properly without the test? They said it would take 7-10 days to get the results, so they are just going to assume he has it and gave him tamaflu (sp?). I woke up this morning with a sore throat, so hopefully I don't have anything! Our school here has been closed this week til Thursday....but he isn't going, even if he is feeling better.

I did get my H1N1 vaccine today. That has been something I've worried about for a while. But I got it....so it eases my mind a little. Where I live the stuff is spreading like a wild fire.

Well ladies I better get ready for bed, have to work in the morning!

by kmcarino, Nov 11, 2009 07:56AM
mommyin10- I am looking forward to hearing your results from today!  It would be really cool, like Luvkayln said, if you got pregnant on your own as well as with IVF and have a boy and a girl!  I hope you get all good news today and will be thinking of you.

luvkayln- I am glad your ultrasound went well:)  Addy seems to be ready to be in your arms!  You are so very lucky and blessed and I know that you know it!!  Ibkt a few more weeks to go!

sbumblebeeo- Congratulations on your little girl!  I am glad everything is going so well for you:)  You are also so very lucky!  You and dh wanted a girl so badly and you have her!  We also want a girl so badly!!  It seems like everyone is having girls.  I don't have a guess yet as to whether mine is a boy or a girl.

AFM, my ultrasound is this afternoon.  I have to get blood taken.  The nurse has not been able to get my blood for the last few times.  I have to get it today because some of the results have to be sent to the doctor who is doing the CVS.  I know the blood test will be torture.  My favorite nurse who could almost always get my blood easily left my clinic.  I can't wait to have this appt. behind me.  I have been feeling very sick this week, since 8 weeks it has been worse.  It is an all day thing, which I don't reme, ber with the last pregnancy.  I am always hungry but don't want to eat anything or can't eat.  It can be so frustrating.  I don't know what to try to eat!  I can't eat meals at all...I am just snacking all day.

sbumblebeeo: OMGosh!!! YAY congratulations on having a healthy little girl growing!!! I don't blame you one bit for calling off of work to go shopping lol - I would have done the same thing! YAY!!!

Mommyin10: Thanks!! Lots of luck to you and the babies today! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers :-) I'm sure everything will turn out fine!!! Update us ASAP though!!

Ad: Many places aren't testing for the swine flu anymore...they are basically saying it's too early for the regular seasonal flu so what's going around right now is the swine flu. I hope he feels better soon and that you or DH don't get it!!!

AFM: Pretty well here - I'm pretty sure I just caught a little bug from our travels. Last night when I got home from work I ended up (TMI) having diarrhea twice. I woke up this morning feeling pretty normal. So I just went about eating my regular diet and really haven't felt odd. Still have just a bit of lightheadedness every now and again, but hey, I'm p/g lol!! I also thought that if I do have gestational diabetes, then at Monday's appt. I would have been spilling protein and sugar in my urine and they didn't say anything about that. So, I'm guessing just a little bug got me - glad I didn't have a fever though! Well, Gotta go cooking dinner!!! I'll check in later for updates!!!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

by mommyin10, Nov 11, 2009 03:51PM
Pyar & Rachjas, thanks :)

My appt went very well. I have to admit, I was nervous, but the genetic counselor went over our blood results in more detail & there were three areas that are tested & I tested normal in two & the one for Down's was on the borderline. Of course my age was also factored in to determine my positive result.  Her assessment, based on 26 years of experience, was that our babies will be just fine ;) There's only a 2% chance that one or both babies will be affected.
Our anatomy scan showed a boy & a girl! So, now we're accepting the fact that we're having one of each :) We're still confused as to how that happened, but we are excited nonetheless ;) The scan showed three markers that "could" indicate an abnormality, one on our girl & two on our boy, but the doc looks for supporting markers to back up those findings & there weren't any. So, she said we needed to be advised, but she doesn't believe we have anything to worry about.
The amnio was quick, but it was also painful. They have to do it twice because our babies are in separate sacs. The needle itself didn't hurt, but when it goes through the uterus, Yikes! I'm sore now, so I'm just taking the rest of the day to relax.
We'll get our results in 7-10 days & all of our concerns will finally be answered. The amnio will reveal the babies' genders & whether there are any abnormalities, Down's or otherwise.
Well, that's my update :)

I just missed you. Thanks :) I hope you start feeling better. If it was just a bug, it should leave you quickly. Take care!

by sbumblebeeo, Nov 11, 2009 06:44PM
mommyin10!!!  I am so happy to hear from you.  I am sorry that you are sore but sooo relieved to hear that the doctor says they don't think you have anything to worry about.  I know much more relief will come in the next 7-10 days but I am thinking about you always and praying for the best.  I hope the next week flies by so you get your results and can relax and be so happy knowing you are having a perfectly healthy son and daughter!  That is just amazing.  I know how excited I am to be having a daughter I cant imagine what it's like to know you get both!  Lots of luck and support!!!!!

kmcarino- Thanks for the note.  I hope you get your perfect little girl too.  It's the most amazing feeling.  If you thought getting that BFP was great just wait until they tell you that you are having a daughter or son.  It's amazing.  I can't even describe it.  I truly can't believe that I am even here.  I made the list!!!  And so did you.  I am happy....it's all going to work out.  Just like I said.  A string of bad luck and now good luck and great news is just around the corner for you.  Yay!

I am glad your appt. went well and I can imagine how nervous you must have been.  I have also had two amnios done before and they really do hurt!!  I am glad that your blood work did not show any bad results...it seems like the babies will be ok.  A 2% chance is not bad at all...you will beat those odds...look at all of the other odds you have beaten- You could have conceived through IVF and on your own at the same time...its amazing:)  I hope that your amnio results come back clear!

AFM, my ultrasound went well.  The second sac is still there but stopped growing.  It measured only 6 weeks and 4 days and does not have a heart beat so it is definitely gone.  The other one is measuring right and the heart beat was 168.  They said that the spine looked good, so that made me happy.  I was also able to see the baby moving and I saw the legs separating--it was so cool:)  This was the first time I experienced that because I recently bought a low vision monoscope so that I can see things up close, so now I am able to see the baby on the ultrasounds which is great:)

Sorry I just missed your post since we were writing at the same time!  I really hope that youa re right and that we will all have good news coming up.  I would absolutely LOVE to have a healthy baby girl!  I just really hope that this baby is healthy.  I don't want the baby to have my disorder, but there is a 50/50 chance.  I have always wanted a daughter, and I already have a perfect little boy.  Hopefully God will bless me with a healthy baby girl and then we will both be over the moon!

dnikki - Thanks he is feeling a little better. Still has a fever, but he wasn't laying around yeterday like the past 2 days. He got his regular flu shot, so it probably is the swine flu. I have had a bit of a sore throat, but that is really it. Besides  a low grade fever yesterday, a lady told me she ran a low grade fever for a few days after she got her H1N1 shot.....so hopefully that is the case.

I am doing good ladies, this tww doesn't seem to be going by as fast as I though it would....lol I'm waiting patiently. I usually get sore bbs after O, and they still aren't sore. I'm only 6 dpiui, so we will see in about a week:) Hope everyone is having a nice week.

sbumbleebeo: Congrats on your girl!!

Mommyin10: Congrats!! we will continue praying that when you get your tests results back all is confirmed as having a healthy prince and a healthy princess!!

Luvkayln: thanks for keeping hope for me, you are so sweet! ....I just really don't get it....I don't feel nothing....as if AF just skipped me this month or something....I did feel lots of AF type of pressure last week and the one before...I guess maybe that was O and not AF signs...I don't know....what I do know is that I am so mad at myself for not BDing when I was having tons of CM last week!!! AGRR!! so If I did O, I missed our opportunity!! ...that is TTCer freshman...not to a senior like me!! LOL ....it is so basic..you see fertile CM you BD!! Just 25 more days for you to meet Addy!! Luvkayln:  Happy 34 Weeks & just 25 days til Addy's b-day!!! =)

sbumblebeeo:  Thank you! =)  Yes, we're excited & will hope and pray that our amnio results come back that our babies are perfectly healthy!!!  Now I get to shop for boy clothes! =)  Yes, the amnio hurt & I was sore afterwards, but I feel great today & I'm going to work, so I'm just happy that it went well & I didn't have any of the side effects the doc mentioned.  Now it's just ANOTHER waiting game :)  When's your next appt?

kmcarino:  Thanks :)  That's great you were finally able to see your little one on u/s!  I'm sure that was a heartwarming experience :)  Happy to hear he/she is doing well!

jmh2005:  Thanks! =)  Yes, please check in again soon and let us know how you're doing!

ad_06:  You're just about half-way through!!!

I uploaded a new belly pic from Monday & an u/s pic of each baby from yesterday's appt :)  I think our little boy is taking up more than his share of my uterus ;-)  His pics always turn out so good.  He's just kicking back looking cute & our poor, little girl is all bunched up!  Haha :)  She was bent in half at one point, with her hands touching her feet, so luckily she gave us a quick profile shot :)  Another neat thing about our anatomy scan is that the doctor could see that neither baby will have a cleft lip/palate.  It's just amazing what they can see!  I'm nervous, yet anxious to get our amnio results next week...

I already sent you a note, but thank you for your support =)  I saw your chart & it does now indicate you O'd last Friday.  Does that fit in with what you were thinking?  Don't beat yourself up that you didn't bd around that time.  Just concentrate on your next cycle & you'll have your cheering section waiting for you =)

Hello everyone.  I know I've been MIA for a while now.  Things have just been super hectic. I will be losing my job in a few weeks and we are trying to prepare financially for that.  So it's been a little stressful.  On top of that, we spoke with our dr a week ago about some issues I'm having.  We've been off of all drugs since August and I'm still having this incredible pressure and pain.  I'm worried that my ovaries are acting up again, even though I'm not on meds.  So the doctor got back to us after looking over my charts again and wants me to go to his big hospital in the city to run some tests.  Apparently I'm at a slight risk for ovarian cancer and he wants to rule that out before we go any further.  So we're going for a consultation next week.  Nothing big yet.

Aside from that, life is pretty darn good.  I love my husband and the life he's giving us.  He's so hard working and supportive.

I miss you all so very much.

luvkayln-Holy cow you are getting so close to Addy being here and I couldn't be happier for you!!  Seriously, we need to get together sometime and hang out.

mommyin10- Your belly is too cute for words and I'm so happy for you.  I have been keeping everyone in my prayers but I will be sure to lift up some extra prayers for your little ones.

sbumblebeeo- Congrats on having a little girl on the way!  That is so exciting and I'm so happy for you both.

kmcarino- Congrats on the bfp and I'll be keeping you in my prayers. I'm so excited for you.

looloo-  I hope the pregnancy is going great!

rachjas- I am keeping you in my prayers and my fingers and toes are all crossed for you sweetie!

dnikki- I am so glad that your trip went well!  I will probably give you a call tomorrow or this weekend to see how you're doing! I miss ya!

AFM- My fingers are crossed for all of you.  I hope you are all doing just wonderfully!

by sbumblebeeo, Nov 12, 2009 03:57PM
mommyin10-  Our next appointment is Dec 7 at 4:00.  He says from now on he is going to be checking my cervix at every appointment so I will need to undress ever time now.     :(     Not fun but I'm glad he's doing it so he can be on top of anything that might happen.  You get to go back so soon.  I'm jealous but happy for you.  Seeing that little one on the monitor makes it so real to me.  Takes any doubt that this is happening for real away.  Yes, I still wonder that sometimes.  Can this really be true????  I guess so.

by mommyin10, Nov 12, 2009 04:58PM
Mrspace: It sounds like you've got a lot going on. Sorry to hear about your job & hopefully your tests come back clean. Thanks for the extra prayers :) Take care!!!

sbumblebeeo: The doc yesterday checked my cervix looking at the abdominal u/s, but said they wanted to check vaginally one/month, so I'll be going back just after you on 12/9 :) Next week is my regular ob. I totally know how you feel. I still can't believe I'm 5 months pregnant & in a short time, I'll have a son & a daughter! It's just surreal ;) Have you thought about doing a 3-D/4-D u/s? We're hoping to schedule it for Dec 16. What amazing Chrismas pics those will be :)

All-
I dont' tend to ask for prayers for my friends but...  I have a dear friend that is part of Medhelp, her log on name is Wakey and you can find her on my friend list.  She has had about 8 failed embryo transfers and has A LOT of medical issues from double cervix and uterus to a split bladder.  She has been trying for a baby for many many years.  This was one of her final attempts before giving up on ever being a mom and just last night she got a faint positive.  If you could please just send her positive thoughts and prayers I would appreciate it.  Her story, like many of ours, is very heartbreaking and she deserves this chance soo much.  I love her to pieces!!!  Thanks for listening.....and all the congrats on my little girl.

mommyin10-.  We were supposed to get 3d pictures at our last appointment and we didn't!  I was so excited that they said girl I completly forgot to ask about it.  Darn it.  It would be a fabulous Christmas gift!  I'm so excited for you.  We seem to be 2 days apart in just about everything.  That makes me smile.  I hope we have our babies just the same way.  Hey....maybe 2 is just your lucky number!!!!  :)   Take care you're doing great and happy 5 months!!!!

dnikki: Thanks for the pic comments! :) How are you feeling?

Sbumblebeeo: Lots of good wishes to Wakey! I'll send her a note :) I know, it's pretty cool that we're just 2 days apart. Have you heard anything about your glucose test yet? I'm thinking it should be coming up soon. Our due dates are two days apart, but we're hoping to make it to mid-March! :) So, we'll see! Have a great weekend & happy early 5 months :)

by sbumblebeeo, Nov 13, 2009 02:16PM
B/c of my small misshaped uterus we are the same boat.  Hopeing to make it to mid March.  The doctor says we are at high risk for preterm labor but won't know how soon she'll come until we get closer and she gets a lot bigger.  Maybe we'll have them at the same time?!?!  What's a glucose test?  What's it for?  I haven't heard anything about that yet.

by dnikki0928, Nov 14, 2009 06:25AM
Mrspace: I'm sorry to hear about your job, but I am glad everything is going well (aside from the ovaries)...The economy just su cks right now!! Hopefully your ovaries will turn out to be okay. Let us know ASAP!!!

Mommyin10: You're welcome!! I love looking at the pics (even if it takes a little while for me to get to them lol...). I got your note this morning - I replied back. Is everything okay your way?

sbumblebeeo: The glucose test is where you go in after fasting after midnight (nothing to eat or drink except water). You drink this really sugary can of stuff  - tastes like flat soda to me lol and then you have to wait an hour then have your blood drawn. It's testing you for gestational diabetes. I go in for mine on the 3rd...yay lol. How are you feeling??

AFM: I worked yesterday, but got off an hour early. My back started really bothering me again. I don't know what the deal is. Thankfully, I'm only working 2hrs today then I'm going to go get my hair done - we have the USMC Birthday Ball tonight!! It will be fun :-) DS is soooo excited to stay with Grandma overnight again lol!! I thought he would freak about it but ohhhh no!!  She was originally going to watch him here 'till we got home, but apparently DH wants to go hunting in the morning.... But, I'll try to check in later this afternoon before we leave - Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

dnikki: Thanks for the note. Something clicked when I was thinking about our anatomy scan. Both of our babies have the same choroid plexus cysts. They are common & do usually dissolve on their own, but because we tested in the positive range for Down's, they looked more closely. They called them "soft markers" because there were no other markers to support them. Our little boy also had another soft marker called an echogenic cardiac forum, which most likely is nothing to worry about either. Geez, I'm reading so much online about everything that "could be". I can't wait for our amnio results :)
That's good you're not working too much today!!! Take it easy ;)

Sbumblebeeo: Happy 20 Weeks!!! Yes, we are in the same boat, then. I'm told the same. It's just a "wait & see". That would be funny if we delivered our babies two days apart, too :) Dnikki explained the glucose test. I haven't heard about it yet from any of my docs, but I expect to because I hear so many women talking about going for theirs.

Luvkayln: 23 days til Adalynn's B-Day!!! :) Have a wonderful weekend!

by luvkayln, Nov 14, 2009 09:01AM
Good morning ladies! :)

Sorry I've been mia for a couple days! I've been checking in, just so tired by the time I get off work lately! Thankfully I only have 1 1/2 weeks left to go till I officially start maternity leave! yay!! :) So, Sean's cousin had their baby girl tuesday night so we decided that after I got off work on Wednesday, we would go see her. Well, Sean wanted to take my car on Wednesday, and I work with my mil, so my mil and I were going to go to the hospital together, and sean was going to meet us there. Well, long story short, I clocked out at work and my mil asked me to go into one of our private rooms (where we also take our breaks) and grab her water that she left in there. As soon as I opened the door, all my friends/family/co-workers were in there to throw me a suprise baby shower! :) It was so much fun, and apparently everyone was sneaking around all week and then really badly all day so I wouldn't suspect anything, lol! Sean was in on it too!! Haha! We got a lot of cute stuff, and one of my co-workers actually got me a prenatal massage gift certificate, so that was cool! :) We did end up going to see Sean's cousin's baby after, she is so cute! :)

Mrspace- It's so good to hear from you! :) I'm so sorry though to hear about your job! And hopefully everything is ok with your ovaries! Be sure and keep us posted about that after your appointment next week! Thank you, we're so excited that we only have 23 more days! I just can't believe that! It seems like it's going by so quickly, and it'll be over before I know it! :( But I'll be getting the best present ever at the end, I'm just so ready! :) Yes, I agree! We need to meet up sometime soon! ;)

Keyan- I agree with Mommyin10 about your chart! Seriously don't beat yourself up over not bd'ing around the time you had more CM! I know your chart is saying that's when you O'd too, but look at it this way! You're freshly back in the game, so look forward to next month! :)

Mommyin10- That'll be awesome if you get your 3D u/s on Dec 16th, the day before Kayln's birthday! :) I'm just so happy for you that you get a boy and a girl! It's just been one suprise after the other with this pregnancy, huh?! ;) Got any plans for the weekend? I ended up leaving work an hour early yesterday b/c I was so exhausted! But instead of going to sleep, I ended up cleaning the house and doing laundry! lol! I'm most likely going to start Christmas shopping today, so that'll be fun! :) Can't wait for more u/s pics on Wednesday! ;)

sbumblebeeo: I know I already sent you a note, but welcome to TEAM PINK!! :) You must be so excited!!! Been doing any more shopping for her?? I know it's hard for me to NOT buy Addy things! She seriously has everything, and I always find myself sitting here thinking what can I buy her anyways! lol ;) I'll definately keep your friend in my thoughts!

luvkyaln: Congrats on the babyshower!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! sorry to make this so short...busy weekend here!!

by ad_06, Nov 14, 2009 09:01PM
Hey ladies, just thought I would check in. Everything is going well here. Still no symptoms, but I know you can't always count on that. The only thing that has happened, I am getting a little more tired than normal, but nothing major.....I wake up several times a night, and get up early! It might have something to do with the time change..Today I have had alot of pressure in my tummy...like bloated. But that is about it.
My stepson is doing alot better, he has been here all weekend and by all means he sure doesn't act sick....lol  Today was his last day on Tamiflu, and he can return to school after not running a fever for 72 hours. Well I am getting ready for bed, maybe I can actually get some sleep :) Only 6 more days!!! Yay!!

by dnikki0928, Nov 15, 2009 08:09AM
Luvkayln: How Sweet!!!! I hope you got just what you guys needed to welcome little Addy into the world!!! The countdown in on!!!!!

Mommyin10: I'm sorry your babies have them too, but they shouldn't be any big deal. I won't even google them on the internet b/c I don't want to freak myself out lol! I know with DS having had them that Peyton should be absolutely fine. Just about 2 more weeks 'till my u/s though!!! And confirmation that we are still having a girl lol!!!

Hey ladies! The ball went great last night! I didn't roll my butt our until 830 this morning though lol :-) I was going to post pics, but I can't find my USB cable for some reason. Our drywall is DONE upstairs!!!! I am sooooo happy lol!!! I'm going to take pics of the upstairs and then also when it's finished. Today I am priming the walls - I found a paint company at Home Depot that makes earth friendly paint and contains no VOC's so therefore no fumes :-) So yes, it's pregnancy friendly! Hopefully it just takes one good coat then I can pain tomorrow or sometime this week. DS should be able to move ot his new room before his birthday on Dec. 2nd!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

Keyan: How are you? Any AF feelings?

dnikki: Sounds like you had a great time last night :) Hooray for drywall being finished!!! I
know that's exciting :) dh has the babies' room ready to patch & prime the walls. We'll probably paint next weekend :) Now, to find a color for a boy & a girl... ;) I know how you feel about looking stuff up. I did it to reassure myself. Because there were no supportive findings, they'll probably resolve on their own! :)

Luvkayln: 22 days til Adalynn's B-Day!!! :) Looks like we just missed each other yesterday. Your shower sounds like fun! It's always amazing to me how everything can be planned w/out the guest of honor knowing :) What a nice surprise for you! :) Yesterday I got up early & cleaned for about 2 hours. I was exhausted! ;) Then I shopped for more maternity clothes & bought my first little boy outfits :) My MIL stopped by in the afternoon, which was nice. She hadn't seen me since I started to show! I hope you have a great day!!!
