I was put on clomid to make me ovulate more reg. (my cycles range from 30-60+ days before clomid). I was on it for 5 cycles and it worked but I did not get pregnant. we are trying naturally now (ins. doesn't cover any ART) and this is my second cycle after clomid. just wondering if anyone else has been through something like this and what their cycles went to afterward. I am on C10 and I swear I could have ovulated yesterday or today with the cramps and CM. I am pretty sure I ovulated on the clomid the last 3 months on CD19 so this seems early. I have been off clomid since end of June so I don't think it's in my system anymore. I haven't bought any OPK's since my cyles are so goofy-it gets too expensive. also wondering how to tell if the clomid made my lining thin because my periods became a lot shorter than before with clomid. Dr. didn't do any US to check that. is that a symptom of thin lining? wondering if that's why I didn't get pregnant. sorry for such a long story but wondering what's up with my darn body???!!!
I have also been on clomid 6 cycles, and it worked as far as ovulation but I am still not pregnant. During the clomid I had regular 28 day cycles. I did take one cycle off and it was really short and weird - only 21 days and I started spotting on day 14. Anyway, my doctor said I probably didn't ovulate that cycle. I think the reason why clomid is not working for me is that it is drying out my fertile cervical mucus (yuck - I know). Clomid can make your lining thin, but only while you are on it. I imagine your lining was pretty thick while you were on it since your periods were normal. If your periods are light now, I would venture to guess that you are not ovulating on your own. Maybe you should go see a reproductive endocrinologist if you are not already. My doctor is thinking of putting me on injections of Follistim next cycle and doing an IUI. I am a little nervous about it. I posted a question with subject line "TTC is sooooo long", but I haven't had any resposes yet. Good luck!
