Please let me share with you my experience with Clomid...
About 4 years ago my husband and I tried to become pregnant for about a year with no success. I always had a probelm with AF - and I went to my doctor & was perscribed Provera to bring on AF & then 50m of Clomid. I took it - went & had my blood drawn to see if I ovulated - the doctors office called said that I had ovulated - & on my way home from work I got a pregnancy test. Believe it or not it was positive - & 9 months later I had my son Charlie. So - there ARE success stories!
Now - 3 years later - we are wanting to have another baby. Tried again for a year with no success - & was put back on Clomid. This time has not been as much fun. I am currently on my 3rd round of Clomid. I've gained about 10 pounds (however I think I've been eating more) & I have been very moody But I remember my doctor saying that the side effects are worth going through to have another baby. That the feelings that I was having were normal.
The 1st month on Clomid I didn't think I ovulated (but I did - early?) - 2nd month had my period on my own & AF was realy late. The at home pregnancy test was negative - went to the doctor to have some blood done - & the pregnancy test in the office came up positive! (Yea POSITIVE!- so I thought I was pregnant for only about 15 hours ) - the doctor's office called & said my blood work was negative. I was NOT pregnant! My AF didn't start on it's own - had to take Provera again - & this month when I did the ovulation tests - I got a positive result 6 days in a row! Odd So now this coming Monday morning I go to have more bloodwork done to test all my horomone levels (& hopefully find out if it worked). So cross your fingers!
Sorry for the length of this - just wanted you to know that I understand how you feel - & good luck! Thanks
Well - I obviously did the last time I used it (because I got preggo:) But this time - I didn't one month (which is a little confusing) - I had some bloodwork yesterday to see if I ovulated this month - & I am waiting to hear from the doctor (which is no fun!)
