clomid and af symptoms

I have 2 questions...

1. This is my 3rd round on clomid (50mg) and the only thing I have gotten out of it is major hot flashes and weight gain. Is there anyone out there that has gotten pregnant on clomid and how long did it take? I am getting VERY discouraged and am ready to give up all hope. I have no idea what the dr is going to do after this round. I think putting the dye through my system to see if there is any blockage.

2.  For the past few month (around 6 month - and now it is magnified on clomid)I have notices my breast are VERY sore about a week and a half before my dreaded AF. This is the only clear sign that I get when I get my AF - does anyone one else get this sign? It just makes me depressed knowing that my af is coming and I have to go on another month.

I love my dh but I am tired of on demand sex!

Any advice, suggestions, and/or thought would be helpful.

1) Mine is not a success story with clomid so far. But the only success i got from it is, I ovulated for sure last cycle(was monitored  via scans). Visit www.twoweekwait.com, and you will get many success stories with clomid as a separate section..all are very encouraging

2) Last cycle when i ovulated and during the TWW, i had sore nipples. Its sometimes both the signal for af and pregnancy..but for me af came. I never have any breast/nipple pain but last cycle since i was on clomid , may be I had that..

I was on Clomid for 4 months and no pregnancy.  Hopefully you'll have better luck.  I had LOTS of hot flashes, some weight gain, and many headaches.  The good thing is that I did ovulate while on Clomid, but this past month, the Clomid thinned out my uterus lining too much and implantation could't take place.  I am now about to start Follistim injections.  My Dr. said there is no reason for me to stay on the Clomid since it thinned out lining already.  If the Clomid doesn't work for you this month (and I really hope it does!!!), ask about Follistim.  I have several friends that have gotten preg from Follistim.  Good luck!  Keep us posted on your progress!!

This is my 3rd cycle on clomid as well.  I have had some pretty intense  side effects including headaches, dizziness/hand shaking. My boobs are somewhat sore and I have some cramping that comes and goes.  

However, I have had good follicles and ovulated each time.  Today is 7 DPO and hoping for some good results. I check next Friday.  If this time doesn't work, I am considering other methods.  But I am hoping......

I agree, on demand sex is difficult. Maybe IUI would be beneficial???
