Hi and welcome to the forum! Some women have side effects on clomid, some don't. Hot flashes is one of the side effects I've heard people on here have. I used clomid once, and didn't really feel any side effects, but it dried up my cervical mucus, so I didn't use it again. That won't be an issue for you, though, since you're doing an IUI. Also, in some cases, it can thin the uterine lining, especially if it's used over a longer period of time. But I'm sure you're doctor will monitor you for that. Best of luck!

Hi! Welcome to our forum :-) You'll find a ton of support here no matter what you are going through :-)
I've been on clomid for a while now, and I only get hotflashes from it. They are usually worse at night. But about a day after the last pill, they subside.

Good Luck!!

On clomid I had little swimming spec in my vision but that only lasted a short while.  Other than that, I don't think I had any side effects but I was on really low dose.  The IUI itself is no big deal.  Feels kinda like getting a pap smear done.  Best of luck to you... I hope you get pg on your first try and welcome to the forum.

Welcome!  I just had my first IUI last Thursday.  (i was not on clomid though).  The actual IUI was relatively easy.  I had some small difficulites because my uterus is severely tipped (he had to use a smaller catheter) but other than that it was really very easy.  The worst part is now the waiting!  Good luck to you!!
