If you normally don't get your period and you did this month, then yes, I would assume clomid helped you ovulate. It is possible to get a period without ovulating, but in your case, you probably wouldn't. So it sounds like clomid is working for you. If you want to make sure, though, ask your doctor for a progesterone test next cycle, around 7 days after expected ovulation. That would tell you for sure whether or not you ovulated.
