has anyone ever had to take bc before starting clomid

the doctor is putting my on clomid since i am not olvating since my proge levels were 2.04 one month and then.74 with the hcg shot. But he is putting me on bc for one month so my body had a
fresh start is anyone familiar with this and when will my period start isn't usually on the green pills when it starts

I'm taking bc pills starting today cd3 for 21 days before starting IVF.  Dr also told me it's for a fresh start and follicles will develop at the same time.

Yeah, it's pretty common for you to take the bc pills before clomid.  It does give your body a fresh start.  Your period should start during your "green pills".  If it doesn't your dr. can prescribe you something to make it start so that you can start the clomid.

He had me start mine that day which was the last day of my period day 8.
Well I hope that next month will be the month for us since it cant be this day
i always thought that the 2ww took for ever but this wait is taken forever to just
so i can get my period and start the clomid i hope it works. Have you used clomid
or any fertility medicine

Im on my forth month on clomid and no babie yet. Everything seems to be working right but its just not happening. I thought I would be one of the lucky ones who get pregnant within the first three months. But Im not, so ill just keep praying and doing the bd. I wish you the best of luck with clomid.  SDSBD

Can i ask why you were put on clomid. I really hope that this is your month

I started on bc today which is cd 3.  I've done 2 cycles of Clomid w/iui and 3 cycle of injectables w/iui.  Next step is IVF.  Lots of ladies on the forum have been very successful with Clomid.  Sometimes it's really comes down to timing and luck.  I know that the wait is very hard but hopefully with the holidays they'll be lots of distractions.

Apes-  Just wanted to say good luck to you!  I'm on my second month of clomid but no bc pills though.  I'm on a low dose 50mg.
