all: sorry ladies i have to leave time for awhile due to some issues...ill try read and keep updated when i can but it will be hard to post while im gone. Hope to be back within 2 weeks....until then everyone take care and G/L to everyone....i cant wait to see those BFP's!!!
I had my regroup appt with the doc today. It went as well as I expected. His concern now if that my ovarian reserve is decreasing. Ugh. DH's count and motility is great, superb...so he is not an issue...it is me.
We talked about options and he was really pushing IVF...he said that I could try injectables but since I have reacted well to the clomid so far and I am producing eggs he typically would put a patient who did not react to clomid on injectables. He would rather see me try IVF, when and if I am ready. He stressed the increased risk for multiples with the injectables, etc...etc...
They took blood again today to check my FSH level and see what it is now compared to back in March when I started this all. He also is putting me on DHEA to help with my egg quality. I am going to go back to acupuncture and go steadily as I know that will hopefully help as well.
I feel like my head is spinning with all of this info. I am going to do this last cycle on clomid with the IUI and may do back to back IUI's. I am trying to stay positive..but it is so hard. Like all of you, I never thought I would be here...but I am at a fork in the road and really need to make a decision as to what to do next.
Thanks for letting me ramble on...don't know if I am making much sense :)
Hello I hope u r feeling better. I just wanted to tell u when taht happened to me bck in june Inever started my af they had to go in and do a d&c and also my beta dropped to 0 also i finally got af around a week and half after d&c its so frustrating
wuldbmum & SummerGrrl: So sorry to hear about your BFN. We know how frustrating that can be. Don't get too depressed (I know that it's easier said than done), but this cycle will bring you hope. You give us words of encouragement, and I hope that we can do the same for you here. Stay positive!
sindlye5: Good Luck to you and keep us posted. I'll be thinking of you.
Kiko33122: That is great that you were able to find an action plan with your RE. I have an appointment with my regular RE on 11/20 which I don't know if I should keep or not.
I have an appointment to get a second opinion on 11/30 with a new RE, but I'm still on the fence whether I want to speak to my old RE one more time to hear what he has to say. Best of luck to you!
ALL: Just waiting for AF to leave. Hopefully she will be gone soon. Had a great time with my niece yesterday. Often wondered if/when it will ever be my turn. I said to myself if I have not been given the privilege to have children, I wonder what God has in store for me? Not being able to conceive for me just negates who I am as a woman. Why am I here? Sorry for sounding so depressing, but it's just the way I am feeling today.
Sending Baby Dust and sticky vibes to all.................
I am new to all this and I love reading your post. I am 29 and trying for a baby with my partner for 2 years. I have started my IVF treatment yesterday - pretty scared but also very excited. Really worry about injections because I cant stand needles but hopefully it will all be worth it at the end. Any suggestions what is the best way to do the injections? Dont know what to expect at all but reading your experiences really help.
You are all very brave and I hope that you all will get happy results at the end.
Best luck to all of you and sending baby dust to all
Good Morning Ladies! I guess Christmas came early for me, I got my BFP. My beta count was 1,279. I wanted to Leave work right away and just go home and celebrate w/my DB. Unfortunately, he couldn't leave his job, so I just stayed at my job thinking about you gals. I have an appt this after afternoon w/Dr. to talk about the next step. It's 6:00a, and I am using my DB iPhone to write this because I too tired to get up and go onto the computer. I'll pdate everyone when I get back from my appt. today. Thank You All for your Thoughts and blessings. Sendind Baby Dust to Everyone . . .
bfpwannab!!!! I am soo happy for you. Christmas did come early. Congratulations to you and your DH. All the best to you and keep us posted on your progress. Good things come to those who wait. I was thinking about you today and only hoping for the best.
bfromthed: Good luck to you this cycle. Sending lots of blessings and baby dust your way.
babyboom: Welcome to our forum. I have only used injectables (Follistim) in very high doses. They recommend that you inject between 4-12midnight. The sites vary from the abdomen, to the thigs and the arms. It's not that bad. I had DH inject me on the arms and I would do the abdomen and the thighs on my own. You inject yourself anywhere from 7-10 days. I wish you all the best.
d911grl: How are you doing today? Hope that all is well. Your signs are good.
Ladies, hang in there...and let's keep the BFP's going!
bfpwannab: Congratulations to you!!! And, I guess, Merry Christmas =) It's so good to keep hearing about BFPs. Keep em coming everyone!!!
wolfgangsmom: Good to see you back on here! I was getting worried about ya there for a while.
sindlye5: Glad to hear you're feeling better, and I wish you continued good luck throughout your pregnancy!
wuldbmom: So sorry to hear about your BFN. Hang in there! I know it's easier said than done, but we have to stay focused on our goal. Don't give up!
SummerGirrl: Sorry to hear about your Chem. Preg. It really stinks to finally get your BFP, just to have it taken away as fast as it came. I had one in April of this year, and had to take off 2 months because my doc said my uterus needed to heal properly. That was even harder. Hang in there and don't lose hope!
sassygirl35: I noticed an increase in CM on Clomid in general. I did, however, notice an even bigger increase as the increased my dosage.
interwoven2340: I love that you still spend a lot of time with your niece. I love my little niece, Ava. She's 3. I actually just spent the day with her yesterday. Sometimes I do wonder if I'll ever have some cousins for her to play with, and I get a little down. As soon as I do, I swear she does something so darn sweet. Yesterday she was telling me who all these Disney characters were, and when she got to Cinderella she didn't say Cinderella, she said that it was MiMi (that's what she calls me). The guy in front of us in line, looked at me and said "now that was precious". She's really a blessing to me.
Kiko33122: Hang in there! I just made the switch from Clomid to Follistim 2 months ago, and then from IUI to IVF. I was a little reluctant to move to IVF, as it was something I hadn't really thought I would need to do, but I feel so much better about it now. I'm actually on birth control right now, and will be until the end of this month. That part is a little crazy, but it's just part of it. My actual retrieval and transfer, God willing, will be in early December. I did a ton of research, and I would suggest you do the same (as I'm sure you already are). There are so many aspects to take into consideration, but the two main ones for me were religion and cost. I talked to some friends, researched forums that discussed religion and infertility, and in the end I feel like God is the ultimate decision maker no matter what I'm doing. He also opens up doors for us and makes people available to us that we just may need. Cost-wise, my insurance covers NOTHING for infertility. All of my experiences have been out-of-pocket. It's amazing though, how things come together when you really just need it to. Anyway, good luck to you!
bfromthed: Good for you! God-willing, I will be doing my IVF retrieval and transfer in early December. DH and I debated on whether or not to do this right around Christmas, but in the end we decided we didn't want to wait. If everything goes to plan, I will be finding out if the IVF worked or not literally just before Christmas. I'm a little nervous about it, as I'm sure you are as well. Anyway, good luck to us both!!!
babyboom: Welcome!
All: I am still on birth control, and anxiously awaiting mine and DH's preliminary blood work test results to come in (should be today or tomorrow). We got tested for EVERYTHING. I don't know why it makes me so nervous, but it's a little intimidating. I just pray that it all is good and everything will go well with our IVF.
Prayer and ***Baby Dust*** for everyone!!!

hi everyone, i have never done this before but here goes lol. i had my first iui on nov 2nd and i am sooo nervous. i just found out by my doctor as he was doing the iui that he thought i might have some blockages cause he had a hard time getting the catheter all the way in my uterus, he got it half way in. My husband is fine which is good and at least now we know this might have been our problem all along. I didnt use any medications and am scared because it seems like everyone i read about is using clomid or something during their iui. I want to test soo bad but i know its to early. how did the rest of you get through this waiting and did anyone do the iui without drugs and still got pregnant? also did anyone have any blockages. any responses would be helpful, maybe it will calm my nerves some... lol
Towards the end of work, I become very emotional. I started to feel confused about my "symptoms" and felt that they were signs that AF was making an appointment to show next week. I literally just got in my car and went home to call it a night. I woke up this morning feeling a little better....some slight cramping...but I have decided not to read into it anymore. So much for being 7dpiui.....
bfpwannab: Well, what can I say? As your alias suggests, so you are...and I love your numbers! Congratulations!!!
summergrrl: Sent you a note...hope you are feeling better (hugs)..
interwoven: You are a WOMAN no matter what. I feel your pain, I was feeling the same way for a while (you and I had this conversation)...it made me uncomfortable around my friends who had children...but hey, our time will come...even if it takes us a little longer than others.
bfromthed: KMFC for you!!!! Baby Dust 2 u!
kiko33122: Good luck to you, keep us posted
annie: where r u? : (
liv2930:I did have minor blockage in the uterine cavity, which my doctor attributed to my fibroids. I had to do a procedure to have it removed, or my RE refused to start the fertility treatments. Since we know that was our only issue, and it is clear now, we are hoping for the best. I wish you the same as well.
To: My CB's Interwoven2340, SummerGrrl & Everyone else in the 2ww
While I'm waiting for my appt., I wanted to jpost my 1st 2ww symptoms resulting in a BFP. I hardly call it pregnancy symptoms because I didn't think I had any. After 3 failed iui's w/clomid, and a Lap, I finally know how it feels like to get a BFP.
Day 1-3 = Cramping in the lower abs, feels like something happening,
but not sure.
Day 4-5 = Cramping slightly. Having this metal taste in my mourth.
Thinking its from my prenatal vitamins that I just started last
month.
Day 6-8 = Nothing, nothing, nothing
Day 9-10 = Cramping slightly
Day 11-12 = Tender BB's, but for me, it usually means AF is comming
Day 13-19 = Cramping again. But AF never arrived yet. I am happy
about that but worried because I am cramping like every
other day. Finally did a beta test on day 19, and got a
beta count of 1,279, which set me at ease and very, very
excited. Now I'm starting to believe that the cramping has
to be my body being under construction, making room for
the baby.
I never did a HPT test because that always brought me down. So I refrained from POAS this cycle. I know everyone's body is different, and reacts differently to medication. So I hope this helps a little. I gotta head out to my appt. It's 12:30p, and I'll post later this afternoon when I get home. Thanks for all the congratulations. I appreciated it very much, since nobody else knows about this. Not till I'm in my 2nd trimester, is when we decided to tell our friends & family. God Bless, and Good luck. Baby Dust to Everyone. . . . .
Thank you so much for posting your "symptoms". I can't tell you how many times I've searched for listed symptoms after IUI/IVF. It really does put some minds at ease. Congrats to you again! May you have a happy and healthy 9mos.! God bless and protect you!!!

For those who are doing IVF with injectables...read over the directions several times. I was not giving myself enough meds for the first five days because I was so freaked out about giving myself injections that I lost my chance for IVF until Jan.
Thank you all for your well wishes and insight!! The nurse called me as they took blood yesterday to check my FSH level again. They like to see it under 8 and it was at a 3!!!!!!!! Whoohoo! When I first got it done in March, it was at a 10 then in June after being on clomid it was an 8 and now a 3! I can only hope that is a good sign and perhaps my ovarian reserve is not decreasing!
Starting clomid tonight again and then onto another IUI and then the long awaited (and dreaded) 2ww!
All: I didn't have to take another beta test today because yesterdays count was extraordinary. Had my progesterone shot today, and will be doing this once a week. I was given progesterone supps to take everynite before I go to bed. Also, Dr. told me to take baby aspirin once a day. When asked how does the aspirin help w/the pregnancy, he couldn't answer me. But I guess it does something, since he's a Dr, he would know better. Oh yeah, and my due date is June 28, 2010. That's my brother's birthday. Thank you ladies, for your support, and being there for me during the 2ww. God Bless, and Good luck. Baby Dust to Everyone. . . .
Nokoutem: Thanks for sharing your story with me. Your niece sounds so cute. My niece's name is Zariel and she turned 5 on Wednesday. She's all grown up now. She tells me not to tell her that she's cute....she's cool :) Too funny. I hope that things continue to go well for you and that this IVF cycle proves to be a successful one so that Ava can have a little cousin to play with.
bfpwannab: Very Happy for you my CB. Please keep us posted on your progress and may you have a wonderful 40 weeks. Enjoy every minute of it. How exciting!
d911grl: Thanks for your words. As you know this is an emotional rollercoaster that we are on which has it's highs and lows. Just trying to stay positive. How are you doing today?
Sunshine0911: It is your partner's loss...stay strong and best of luck to you.
liv2930: Welcome!
Kiko33122: I am glad to see that your FSH has gone down. That is a very good thing.
I attribute mine going down to acupuncture and herbal medicine. In June it was 12.9, then last month it was 10.9. I am waiting to see how it is when I go for some more testing at the end of this month.
ALL: Nothing new on my end. Just waiting for AF to say goodbye. I had acupuncture last night and picked up some more herbal medicine. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!
Got my aunt flow today...kind of happy to see the witch! My RE told me to come in day 2, 3 or 4 to start monitoring. I had planned to go in on Day 3, but that ends up being Sunday and I'm not going to be around this weekend...so I guess it'll have to be day 4 to start the clomid.
What days did you guys start your clomid on? Is it always day 3? I've heard of people starting on day 5 as well (and I guess I'm cutting it right in the middle with day 4).
I have been done with the clomid for 2 days and I am still moody. Is that normal for the moodiness to stay for a while after done taking clomid? I just want to cry for really no reason and I just don't want anyone to talk to me because I am scared if they do I will bite their heads off.
Well, I am cd14 and doing the opk kit...have not ovulated yet. I am on 100mg of clomid. Dont know if I will do another iui...the doc said that if I dont ovulate by the 14th then to go in for an ultrasound. Did not do that. I think I am on the verge of giving up. My son who is 5 asked me last night when we are going to have another baby...He said he is sad.
SummerGrrl: I was taking clomid on day 3 for my first 3 iui's. But then I started taking clomid on day 5 for my 4th iui, and it worked for me. I read somewhere that taking it on day 3 makes more follies, and taking it on day 5 doesn't make more follies, but makes your follies healthier. Hope that helps a little. Good luck to you.
I finally have a day off and I am relaxed!
I went for dental cleaning today...was supposed to have x-rays done, and totally passed on the x-rays because of what I suspect may be inside me.
I am doing ok...was feeling a bit sleepy today...but really no other symptoms except for the usual cramps and lower back pain. BTW, I made an error in my last post...yesturday was actually day 6dpiui, and today is 7dpiui for me. I made it through the first week- one more week to go.
For everyone else on the 2ww...how are we hanging in there?
Wolfgangsmom...don't become discouraged...it will happen. I will pray for you.
Have a great weekend ladies, and I will check in from time to time to see how everyone is doing.
well, my opk test was positive this morning so me and hubby....well you know....and tomorrow morning I have decided to go for another iui. This will be my second iui on clomid...wish me luck ladies.
Now on day 8 of 14! This waiting is killing me. SYmptoms include sore breasts, tired and just plain cranky! I fear that I am thinking I am pregnant and not really am.
wolfgangsmom : Good Luck with your IUI. I am 6/7 days IUI. I had a back to back IUI on the 1st & 2nd November.
Annie610 : We are just a day apart. Be positive and hope it works out for all the 2 ww buddies. I am having the same symptoms as you mentioned. Having hot flushes in the night and bad dreams as well. This is a tough phase and together we will get through it...Just hang in there...
d911grl : Hey girl ! Hope you are coping well. Havent heard from you int he ast two days..
Hello, everyone!
I hope we are all enjoying what is left of the weekend.
Today is day 9dpiui...wow..making progress.
No unusual symptoms. Just the regular sore breasts, I am a bit tired....but I wake up earlier than usual now too. I am also experiencing weird cramp-like pains in the lower abdomen. Not sure what to make of them...but hey, to distract myself, dh and I are going to Harvety's to look for furniture for the new house.
Enjoy the rest of your day, ladies...
sunshine0911: How are you feeling? I sent you a note on Friday/Saturday...check your box (did it through medhelp)...
Annie: Welcome back! : ) I have been looking for you.
Thank you very much for your welcome and usefull advice...Made a mental note to remember ice packs :-)))) Just been away with my partner for few days which helping not to think about what is going to happen next few weeks. Sometimes I wish I could switch my brain off with stuff that going through it :-)))
Annie610 - Gud luck with ur waiting and praying for positive results for you!! Lots of baby dust your way. Keep positive
I am on CD13, i go to see dr tomorrow for Ultra sound to check maturity of the follicles. I am really hoping this will be the month for that BFP since I am taking a long extended break. this just gets harder and harder as the months go by with always a BFN but you girls do help and make it bearable to know that I am not alone.
Good luck to you you and I both have been on here soooo long waiting fr these bfp's :-) God Bless im going in cd 14 to check follie growth on Clomid now and Menopur starting tonite :-)
bfromthed/wolfgangsmom/sassygirl35: Good luck with your follie growth and IUIs this month! Hopefully, we'll see more of those BFPs being posted.
All: Good luck to those of you in your 2WW! You guys are always in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Bye, ladies...and I will talk to you soon,
Your friend,
d911grl
Baby Dust to Everyone. . . . .

Starting clomid tonight again and then onto another IUI and then the long awaited (and dreaded) 2ww!
5/6 dpiui. Not sure if the symptoms are any different from last time.
My partner has not even bothered to call and check on me....and guess what..its my birthday this month :)
The medication is making me depressed and emotional about everything..And being all alone does not help either.
Good luck and baby dust to everyone.
bfpwannab: Very Happy for you my CB.
Let's keep the BFP's going!
What days did you guys start your clomid on? Is it always day 3? I've heard of people starting on day 5 as well (and I guess I'm cutting it right in the middle with day 4).
I am trying not to think too much but the thought just wander looking for symtoms thats not normal.
Another 8 days for my doctors appointment.
Good luck and lots of baby dust to all.
He is probably picking this up from me.
Good luck ...and take care.
I hope everyone is doing great.
Blessings and babydust to all,
d911grl
This is my second attempt....the first one failed..so I am relaly hopeful..
I keep looking for symptoms..though its too early...other than heavy and sore breast, and the water retention there is nothing different yet.
Good to know that you and me are just a day apart in our 2 ww. Good luck...and lots and lots of baby dust to you....
Take care
Annie610 : We are just a day apart. Be positive and hope it works out for all the 2 ww buddies. I am having the same symptoms as you mentioned. Having hot flushes in the night and bad dreams as well. This is a tough phase and together we will get through it...Just hang in there...
d911grl : Hey girl ! Hope you are coping well. Havent heard from you int he ast two days..
Good luck and lots of Baby dust to all of us.....
