Thank you so much for all your support.  I took another hpt this morning and it was a BFN.  I cant stop crying because this was the last month we could try.  I still dont have af but minor cramping has started like it might be coming.  Today is 15dpiui.  I'm happy I have a healthy 4y/o boy but I would have liked him to have a sibling.  I cant underdstand why it didnt work.  I have no problems. my dh has low sperm.  It was 5mil this time.  Its so discouraging.  Good luck to everyone and I hope you all get BFP'S.  Have great holidays.

I just wanted to thank you all for your thoughtfullness!!!Your prayers and your kind words.I am so emotional today I could just cry.I hope it will be BFP as I don't know how much more of this I can take.We looked into injectable drugs today and it looks like it will cost us around 1680.00 a month.....I don't know if we can afford to do it :-(
I am trying to stay positive but I have mild cramps so I think AF is coming........

Im a little upset I just had some blood work done for a progesteron check (can't spell today) and I just found out that you need to be a 20 or above and im only at a 7.8 im so upset I feel like I know for sure im going to have a BFN. The doc told me to take 4 pills for progesteron instead of one.

Well DR's office just called and it is a BFN! I am oviously extremely upset.I called my insurance company though and they partially cover the Gonal F pen which is simular to follistim,so it looks like I might be going on to injectables next cycle. My cycles the last few months are between 25-26 days so AF should show her face tomorrow and then well we'll have to start it all over again:-( Has anyone heard high success rates with injectables and IUI???I am hoping it happens in the first or second month,HOPING being the key word.
Hope everyone is staying strong.
ChrissyandDan-Thinking of you!!!!!

I got pregnant first try with injectibles (Follistim) and IUI with my 2 yr old daughter and we just did another round of injectibles with IUI for this baby and it worked the first time again and I am now 10 weeks pregnant.  So it worked first try twice for me.  I am sorry about the BFN... I had no sucess on clomid either although we didnt do IUI with it.  They say it really thins the lining.  I have PCOS and my husbands count is a little bit low (sort of in the gray area).

IUI w/ injectables (Menopur and HCG) worked the first time for me.  Unfortunately I miscarried at 5 weeks but at least I know that it worked.  Now I am just waiting for AF so I can try again.

I am so sorry you got a Bfn.  I hope the injectibles work as well for you as they did for kisstin!

I have not tested yet, because I am afraid I will get another bfn.  I don't have any cramps, my bbs aren't swollen like they normally are on prometrium.  Normally I test, get a bfn, and two days later I get af.

Baby dust and best wishes to all!

Hi, I am 9dp iui.…. Please help me… I took a hpt today…I know its toooo early, but I just did it. And it was a big negative… was it neg because I took the hpt too early or does it mean it just didn’t happen this time. My doctor told me to take the test on 7th…..please some one tell me what does it mean.... I think I will have my period by tomorrow. ....

Hi cb-hoping- I will pray for your BFP,when do you test?

Hope313 - I think 9dp IUI is too early to be honest,I always have to get blood work done at least 10 days past IUI and it only picks the very little HCG that's in your blood.I don't think a urine test could detect it that early.Maybe someone else may have a difference of opinion?Good Luck and don't give up your ABFP is coming...
Baby Dust to All!!!!!

Jennstowe: Sorry about the BFN I will pray for you and the injectable cycles!

hope313: It may be too early to detect pregnancy hcg but the good thing that normally means the hcg trigger is out of your system if it was bfn so now is the time to be looking for any symptoms...I did not get bfp until 6 days after af was due in 2006!

Kisstin: Glad to see you still read the post I thought u had forgot about us!! I am just on standby waiting on af to get started again she is due in two days! Good luck! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday!

I'm glad to find other with the same issue, today is d1piui for me.  this is m 3rd iui.  I'm hoping this one will be successful.  Beside sore BB, I'm fine.  But last time I was very uncomfortable, bloated, cramping and so.  I was on gonal-f and did HCG trigger, I had two iui friday and saturday, tomorrow I'll start with progesterone.  any advice on what to eat or  do to make it this one work.

by cb_hoping, Dec 01, 2008 06:09AM
I tested yesterday, 15 dpiui and a bfn :(. I still haven't gotten af.  I just really wish there was a sure way, so none of us would have to go through this rollercoaster.  I guess I will test again tomorrow if af still hasn't arrived.

by cb_hoping, Dec 01, 2008 12:46PM
Does anyone know of a calculator that tells us what our chances would be each cycle?
Something that allows us to customize it with our information.  IE Using Clomid, had 3 follicles, low sperm count...

Sorry to hear about the bfn I dont know whats going on with my cycle...I am on cd 34 and no af and definitley do pg! We didnt even do anything this month because of so many left over follies and dh was in the hospital so I am just on standby...I am going to call re's office tomorrow and give them a update.

I am on cycle day 33 now, no af.  Hopefully we can both get straightened out and get our BFP's soon.

I talked to my RE today, and she said to stop taking the prometrium, and if I still don't have my af by Thursday then to test again.  I know that it will be a BFN, I don't start my af while on prometrium, so it will start a few days after I stop taking it.  This is just so frustrating!  I mean, we only have an 8-10% chance of conceiving (per RE)....but you would think that after trying for a year and a half, we would have conceived by now.
I think we are going to try one more IUI with double collection this time.  Then we have to move onto something else.

I think you should get a b/w to find out what's going on.  If you're taking progesterone it may hold af.

Hey there - I also had to take a break between my cycles and I was so frustrated b/c days 30, 31, 32 rolled around and I didn't get AF so I could start treatment again.  I called my RE and they had me start Provera on Day 34 to get things rolling.  Who knows if it would have come on it's own since it seems I'm not ovulating without help of meds.  Anyway, after 8 days on Provera, AF finally arrived.

may119: I had hcg and progestrone drawn today and I will know the game plan at noon tomorrow I am not on anything...last month we had 21 follies and bfn so we took this month off :)

I am so happy to find this website - the two week wait is starting to make me a little nuts!
I am on day 7pIUI and have been scouring the net reading other peoples stories and symptoms. How early did everyone take their first test? I don't want to take one too early - I was thinking this Sunday - day 12pIUI. Too early? My husband and I have not told anyone that we are doing this - that way I don't have to give sad news over and over again....so, It's nice to post and talk to people who understand.

Well I just thought I'd check in...

It's nice to read all the new posts.

As for me I am having my laprascopy surgery on the 18th so i am a bit nervous for that. I am not quite sure what the game plan after that will be. I must say i was really stress free for the month or so i have been on bc pills but now that's it coming to the point again of starting all over I am a ball of nerves. I just don't know how much I can take of the physically, mentally, emotionally, and mainly financially. I just pray so hard for a BFP soon...

Well good luck to everyone and lots and lots of baby dust.

TT re's office today and progestrone is 16.5 ...I did ovulate so they are saying because of the number I may have ovulated late and that they will just wait on a natural cycle to start..you all know we took this month off and the also did a beta that was neg but we knew that so this is cd 36 and I am just waiting,,they will recheck in a wk if no af...no signs of being blessed with a bfp either! That is great news that you ovulated on your own... even with the stress of your hubby being in the hospital and all.

TT nusre and they said because I did ovualate according to my progestrone (16.5) that they want me to wait on a nautural cycle and that because of all the follies I may have just ovulated late so if no af in a week they will check hcg again and if bfn they will start me on provera...Still waiting on af...no signs but my bbs are really sore and I have excessive cm????...I have not had tender breast in 2 years before af!! I think with all the follies and everything that has been going on my body is just going crazy in the inside??? Okay just wanted to update everyone...

by cb_hoping, Dec 04, 2008 03:10PM
I called the DR... I am supposed to go in for bloodwork if AF doesn't arrive by Saturday.  I am sure that it is delayed because of being on the Prometrium.

Well I haven't posted in awhile, it's been a difficult month, My Stepfather's father and my uncle passed away, I had to put down my 16 year old cat.

I am currently on cd 12 on Clomid AKA Clo-Mood. I really had a difficult time with this this time around, headaches everyday, HOT flashes, and this las Sunday feeling ALOT of Anger over everything (Poor DH) Was a little better Monday and back to my cheery self by tuesday.

Well today I went for my day 12 ultrasound and WE FINALLY have follicles on the left side, JOYFUL can not even begin to tell you how I feel today. I go back again on Saturday for another U/S as the follicles today were not quite "ready" for an IUI, I had 4 follicles 13,13,14,and 14.5, so they want to do another u/s on saturday to make sure they did get big enough and tell me based off of that what my chances of multiples are which at this point my DH and I will take what we can get, if we are meant to have 1 or 2 or 3 that is what is meant to be.

So HOPEFULLY we will go for IUI on Sunday, everything is crossed!!

Congrats to any BFP and for all you BFN hang in there our time will come.

Hey gals,
Just wanted to stop in and say Hi and hopefully pass out some encouraging and supportive words to all of you.

cb_hoping-I am so sorry you keep getting BFN and AF hasn't showed her ugly head so you can get on with the next cycle already!Maybe, just maybe you are preggo and it just isn't showing yet.My sister in law took 27 pg tests and all were negative, she was 2 1/2 weeks late. She went to Dr and they did blood work and it was positive. My thoughts and prayers are with you hun and keep us posted how you are doing.

bfromthed - Congrats on ovulating on your own, that's awesome girl! All the best on your next cycle, thoughts and prayers are with you as well.

Molson - (Meg)- you lurking around anywhere????How are you doing with your pregnancy? We miss you on here.

4everwealth- Hope you are still with us as well and that you are doing well and haven't given up.I still pray for your gift from God!!!Let us know how you are.

To all the newcomers- Good Luck to all this is a great, supportive bunch of ladies on her and if you need any words of encouragment or understand words...you've come to the right place that's for sure!!!Baby dust to all!

As for myself today I started my first round of injectable drugs(Gonal F),orgolutron,HCG and then back to back IUI on hopefully around Dec 13th or so.I was scared to death about injecting myself with a needle everyday but it's not so bad,I am terrified of needles!LOL
I start going for my bloodwork and U/S's on Monday for a week straight to monitor my follies and my hormone levels and such!I pray this works,it's so darn expensive!
Well that's all gals wish me luck this cycle......thanks!

I'm still lurking. I have been crazy busy lately but have at least made a couple minutes each day to get on and read everyone's posts. I an so glad you started your injectibles today. I was also terrified of needles but learned very quickly how do do them myself because DH was chicken and didn't want to hurt me.

bfromthed - I was happy to read you ovulated on your own. It seems odd to say but I hope you get AF soon so you can get started on your next cycle.

cb_hoping - I am sorry about your BFN. I wish you all the luck.

I started a new quarter of school this week so by the time I get through that and working full time - I am exhausted! I have my first u/s on Tuesday morning and I'm kinda nervous. The nausea I had a couple weeks ago is gone but I'm still tired and I'm hungry ALL the time and I get crampy almost everyday at some point during the day and my bbs hurt so bad I have resorted to wearing a sports bra to bed. Sometimes though I have no symptoms at all and don't feel like I'm pregnant at all. It's kind of a scary feeling. I'm sure that I'll find out Tuesday that everything is fine and growing normally. I'll keep you posted and GOOD LUCK and BABY DUST to all of you.

I havne't posted in a week or so.  I had a BFN last friday and I started another round of clomid on Monday.  So today is my last day on clomid.  Then I go next Wednesday for my ultra sound.  The doctor did start talking to me about switching over to injectibles?  I have only been on clomid for 2 months with IUI, does anyone out there thinkit is a good idea to go to injectibles at this point?  I was diagnosed with Unexplained fertility which in some ways I fee is the worst news because I still don't have answers.

I jsut feel like all of a sudden I hit a brick wall and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.  Any words of encouragement I will take!!!!

I have to say I have done more reading on this site then actually posting and I love it.  Everyone on it is so nice and encouraging and Ijsut want to say THANK YOU!

by cb_hoping, Dec 05, 2008 09:54AM
Jen920- Great news on the Follies on the left side!  Good luck this month!

Molson76- I hope you start feeling better soon.  It is completely worth it!

dimps1978- My girlfriend had unexplained infertility, and when they moved her to injectibles, she got pregnant right away.  My dr doesn't want to switch me, because I am producing follies, and we have a known sperm count issue.  Good luck this month!

Jennstowe- How are you feeling on the injectibles?  I am not sure that I could do it.  I can't even give myself the trigger shot.

Good luck to all this month.  I started AF yesterday evening, and it has been fairly heavy this month.  We are doing clomid again this month days 3-7, and I go in on the 18th for U/S.

Good luck to all, baby dust, and sticky dust!!!

Thanks!

I am producing follies also and my progesterone test even came back last month showing I ovulated.  My doctor wants to switch me to injectibles becasue he said that it will just produce more follies and up my chances.  he siad that being unexplained my chances are less each month on clomid.  I only have a 10% of success with clomid.  Then with injectibles my chances go up to 25%-35%.

So if it doesn't work this month with clomid I am on to injections.  Good luck this month and please keep me posted. Baby dust to you!

Hi All

I am fairly new here. fairly because I am on my second round of injectables started lst month but got a BFN I followed this thread all of last month. My DH has been pushing me to join since all I do is talk about this site but thats because I find this site to be so comforting it helps so much to hear from someone else exactly what your going threw.

I'm on my second round of Gonal F and should do my back to back IUI's on or around the 13th.

A little bit about myself.
I have my right tube blocked. I'm 39 and DH is 38 I have 8 kids 1 of my own which I had 22yrs ago I have 5 left in the house as the older ones moved out.age range from 22 to 14.
7 of them are my nieces and nephew 2 of my sisters passed away in 2000 and me and DH have been raising them. DH has no kids and would like 1 or 2 of his own we have been trying for 3 yrs on are own and now we are having help.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL LOTS AND LOTS OF BABY DUST !!!!!

So glad you joined!!! I was shocked when I read uour post as you are doing the exact same cycle as me!We must be cycle buddies.I started Gonal F yesterday and will have back to back IUI around the 13th as well.Did they also give you ogalutran?I will go for my blood test Monday to see if the dose I am taking is good or if they want me to increase it.Right now I am on 75.What dose are you taking?I feel fine taking it,I have no side affects and don't really feel any different. How you doing on it?How many cycles have you been on Gonal F?I will probubly take my HCG trigger on the 12 or 13th and then IUI then progestrone.Great to have you aboard and have someone that has alot in common with my situation by the sounds of it.Thoughts and prayers are with you.

bfromthed- Hey just wanted to say Hi and that I am thinking of ya.How many cycles have you done injectables if you don't mind me asking?

This will be our 4th iui the 3rd one we did back to back and had 21 follies 12 that were good to go and still bfn...re said he thinks that I may have gotten hyperstimulated because I was sooo bloated after and that is why he put us on a 30 day hold because at the begiining of my cycle on the  Oct 29th I went in for monitoring on the 30th to get going again and still had 17 follies left from last cycle! So now today is CD 36 and still no af but I am now getting signs thats she's on the way I usually get very cold and being here in Michigan now that its frezzing I am about 10 degress colder than outside...lol so it should be anyday now! :)

I haven't posted for a while now coz I've been sort of like in a dark place. I have been reading all your post and its encouraging to read all your experiences.
I'm now 2dpiui. Anybody else?
I have none of the symptoms I had with my first iui, infact it almost feels like I didn't do any iui at all and took all those drugs. But I'm trying to be positive!!

Jenn - I'm not much of a person to give up but for some reason, I haven't been able to shake off the blues. Times like these make you think of everything else not right with your life. But I'm hanging in there. Thanks for your prayers. I hope ur blood test gives you the result you want. You sound so happy and that is good!! Baby dust to u this cycle!!!

bfromthed - I hope u get AF so you can get started on ur next treatment. I wish you baby dust and sticky vibes.

molson - Pls try to rest as often as you can. Really happy for you and let us know about ur u/s goes. ox - hugs and kisses!! Sticky vibes!!

To all newcomers - Welcome!! Whatever you feel pls feel free to share coz u will only find friends who care here. With all that u r going thru now, I wish you the best and above all BABY DUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi and thank you for the warm welcome. I started on Gonal F on the 2nd. dose at 225 it seems my RE is very aggressive. I was on follistim dose at 225 last month. this is my second IUI last month I hyperstimulated (which I was told it was because of what I ate after trigger I should not eat anything with seasoning). RE thought I would need to take a brake this month but when he did US/BW tuesday he said my ovaries went back to norrmal and I was able to jump right back in? they did not give me ogalutran only gonal F then trigger then Back to back IUI's then progestrone. I go back monday for more bw/us. As for side affects i have been getting headaches but minor ones and thats it for now.
well im glad we can be cycle buddies my thoughts and prayers will be with you as well

lots of baby dust to all

Sorry I haven't posted in a while been so busy. Well I took a blood test on Dec 3rd. and got a BFN I spent all day in bed crying and upset even though I knew it could happen I still did. And so now we are going to do another cycle in Jan to let me clam down and such. I got AF today and it made it seem more real. My doc said that they might try progestrone and oil any one heard of this befor?

Newcomers- Its so nice to have you on the site I really hope you like it I think its a wonderful support system. And Baby Dust to all!

Hi everyone,
This is the first ever forum I am joining. I am happy to see such a friendly and supportive group online. DH and I have been trying to have a baby for the past 19 months. We have what the docs call unexplained infertility as all our tests are normal.

I went to see a RE for the first time last month as previously it was my ob-gyn doing all the tests and even tried 3 cycles of clomid but without monitoring. In the end she referred me to the RE who wants to start right away with IVF but becasue of christmas and holidays coming she said we would leave it for Jan, so in the meantime  we thought trying another cycle of clomid 100mg w/ IUI would be a good idea. I had it on thanksgiving day and now I am using progesterone. I am just going crazy waiting for the 2 weeks to pass so that I could go for the blood test. It is only 9 dp/iui and I have no symptoms except that most of the time I have a light headache and I am feeling sleepy mostly. Do you guys think it is the progesterone? I am really learning of all this as it is happening to me. In this past year and a half I don't know how many hours I have spent googling on fertility, pregnancy symptoms etc. Today while googling about IUI and chances of success I came across your group here and found it very comforting to read and felt like sharing myself.

I wish everyone of you all the luck and send you all the baby dust.

To jen920: Baby dust to you. Hope this is the lucky cycle to make your dreams come true dear.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I am about to do my second IUI this week and I am on clomid & the trigger shot.  If this month doesn't work we are moving on to injectibles next month.  The doctor said because I have unexplained fertility my best chances of success is with IVF but we are going to try the injections first with IUI.  I just don't know how many more BFNs I could take.  This is all so frustrating.

Muna221 - Welcome to the site.  This has been a great support to me.  GOOD LUCK!

Thank you all for making me feel so welcome.

To dimps1978: I am sorry to hear about the bfn. I am 37 and a half, and have been trying to concieve since april 2007. In this time I had a couple of times when my periods were late and I would take hpt and then cry my eyes out  on seeing a bfn. They turned on to be chemical pregnancies.

But now u know I have decided that I want someone else give me the good news whenever it happens. So no more hptz for me. :)

But I know how hard it is.

I am waiting for the 11 dec now as I am supposed to go for the pregnancy test. I had the iui on thanksgiving day. And God these 2ww has been killing me.

To jen920: Wish you all he best Jen. I hope this is your lucky cycle. Hey you have got great chances with all those super swimmers. :)
I'll keep all of you in my prayers.

jen920: That is awesome with thos numbers!  Good luck this cycle please keep us posted

Hey all -- I am 11 or 12 dpo.  I promised myself that I would not test until AF is late -- so if NO AF by thursday then I will pull out the sticks and be an addict.  LOL

Normally I always have cramps a couple days before AF and so far nothing -- last night I had like a pulling type pain/pinching pain felt like my right lower side (ovary) maybe.  And my bbs are SORE as all heck.  But with my luck and because me and dh want another child so bad -- I just know it will be a BFN.

Good luck to all and SSBD.

Welcome to all newcomers!  This is a great forum, and all the feedback, advise, and support are very well received.

Jen920- Good luck this cycle!

Bfromthed- Glad that your AF started... kind of- obviously would prefer you to get a BFP!

As far as me... I go in on the 18th for U/S and if all looks good, IUI will be on the 20th.  Now that I understand my DH and I's chances for conceiving I am really trying to not get my hopes up anymore... we only have 8-10% each cycle.  I am producing enough good follies, so Dr doesn't want to put me on injectibles.  DH is taking fertility blend for men- as recommended by DR for counts.  Plus, he was offered a new job at a new company, so his stress should be down.  I am hoping that really helps.

may everybody reading this get BFP'S for christmas.....

Jennstowe: how is everything going with you? I had a us/bw done today and the re called me a little while ago to tell me to go in tomorrow for first IUI then trigger tomorrow night then back on thursday for the second IUI.

Bfromthed: glad to hear AF came. by the way what is menopur? I read somewhere that they give clomid then Gonal F to minimize the number of follies

cb_hoping good luck and lots and lots of baby dust to you

one medication helps you to produce the follies and one helps with the size of the follies...I will know if we can do anything this month after us tomorrow....last month I had 17 follies lifet over from the previous cycle...so we had to take the month off so after 41 days in a cycle af finally started so I will post tomorrow afternoon after I get the report from the doctors.

Hi. Can I ask how you take this menopur? I have only used clomid in a few cycles and now this time was the frist iui with clomid and ovidrel.

My doc was saying that if this doesn't work she will move directly to IVF as she wants us to use our insurance on something more aggressive and with better chances and given my age she doesn't want me to keep trying for another 6 months or a year. I don't know how good an idea is this? What do you guys think about this approach?

I wish you get a BFP too.  I know what you mean by question about twins. When my doc sad that their is a risk of twins or more, i wanted to say to her that there is no other risk in the world that I would be more willing to take. I know the riasks but don't care at this point.

Good Morning!  I am scheduled to go to my RE tomorrow for my us/bw and then hopefully Friday will be my IUI.  I have a question though.  I started feeling very bloated yesterday and I ekeep getting pains in my lower abdomen like I am ovulating.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I am going to ask the doctor about it tomorrow but I figured I would check with you guys?

angelsonitsway: That is the best wish to Santa I agree with Muna221 that is my wish this year also.

bfromthed:  What did the dr report come back with?  How are you doing?

cb_hoping: I too only have a 8-10% chance of success with IUI & clomid that is why next month we are moving on to injectibles.  My chances only go up to 35% though.

I have been having lower belly ache on and off since my iui on Nov 27. I was feeling very bloated but it is getting less as the days are passing. So I am afraid that if all these symptoms are disappearing than it means it was no success this month for me. But I won't know for sure till my bw on thurs. I am trying to stay positive. Let's see.

Hi ladies,
Just thought I'd drop in and read the latest posts and see how you all were doing?!Welcome to all our new comers,it's great to have all of you!
Well it's my 5th day on injectables(Gonal F).I had B/W yesterday and today to see how my levels are.Waiting for my DR office to call me this afternoon to tell me if we will do an U/S tomorrow so I can see my follies.I haven't had side effects on this drug so I am happy about that,I do however feel like my ovaries are huge and have had some mild twinges of pain so I hope thats a good sign.We are hoping to do IUI still this weekend if all goes well.
I have to say I too only want one gift this year for Christmas as well...a BFP!!!I hope Santa will be good to us all and bring us our precious gift!!!Baby dust and sticking vibes to all!!

bfromthed- Thinking about you and hoping the new mixture of meds will be the ticket to your long awaited BFP!!!

cb_hoping-Thinking of you as well and hoping that your IUI happens on the 20th.Are you going with injectables yet?Great news about your hubby and his new job!

Angelsonitsway-Wow you are mving quickly on...you already had IUI done?Fantastic!!!How is follies this month?Thinking of ya!

Jen920- Great numbers with the sperm count, you should have a BFP in no time!!!Baby dust to you hun.Keep us posted.

Dimps1978- I have been really bloated as well and hope to have my IUI's either Fri and Sat or Sat/Sun.I asked my Dr about it today and he said it's because of the increased amount of follies. My DR also gave me a shot I can take called Orgalutran so if i am almost going to ovulate and my follies aren't quite ready I take that shot and it stops me from ovulating til my follies are just perfect.Has your DR gave you Orgalutran? Are you on injectables?

Well I hope everyone is staying positive and strong. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.Christmas is so hard when you long to have a child to share it with,it's so hard to stay strong but we can only do the best we can!Even if crying for a few minutes releases some of the heart ache.I know it will happen for all of us one day!!!
Baby Dust to all you ladies and I will keep you posted on my progress and love to hear how you are all doing.

Thanks again for your kind words and support,I appreciate it!

Hello!

I am only on clomid 150 mg / and the trigger shot for now.  This is my second month on it and my second IUI is this week.  Next month the doctor is going to move me to injectibles.  So I will find out tomorrow about my follies for this month.  I will let you know how it goes tomorrow after my appointment.

Every once in a while I get really bad pains like I am ovulating and I hate this bloated feeling.

Hey girls - I'm in the middle of a cycle of clomid, follistim, and then IUI.  It's a rough one though b/c instead of having 3 or 4 strong follicles, I had 40 after just a few days of injectables.  RE has been watching the past few days to see if a few pull ahead of the others, but if not, they won't go forward with the IUI b/c of the risk of way too many babies.  So frustrating!  Anyone had this problem?  Today I had 3 that were larger than the others, but he's still not sure what the next few days will bring.  If things go well, I'm hoping for IUI toward the end of this week and will join some of you in the 2WW!  Oh....the rollercoaster!!

Hi!
I haven't posted on here in quite awhile. After my 3rd failed IUI, I took a much needed break (Financially and emotionally!) I'm now back in the game and reach the end of my 2WW tomorrow when i go for my Beta.

Muna221 - I wanted to let you know, that I think your Dr is right. I like that she is considering the costs you have to deal with on this! I was told time and time again over and over that IUI wouldn't work for me due to my age (I'm 42) and I should move right to IVF. I didn't want to hear it and resisted and now I feel like I should have listened, thousands of dollars later and so much stress! I did my first cycle of IVF this month and fingers crossed it was successful. Even if this month is a bust, i think I'm closure to the goal, my Drs feel more confident. This is just my 2 cents, but something to consider. Good luck wishes to you on the 11th!!!

Thank you dear fr the advice. In the heart of heart I know that my doc is right about making it the most effective with least financial burden. She also said that if they get good response then we can store and try for a second in a couple of years. :)

I wish you all the best for your test tomorrow. Do keep me posted.

I am resisting the urge to test at home as I don't want to be disappointed and then run to doc to reconfirm the same disappointment. So will do it once at doc's and then deal with the outcome. I am an optimist but in this matter I think now I think of negative first to help me deal if it is not a bfp.

To All: Hey I am watching the evening news and just saw this report on ABC about a 72 yr old indian woman giving birth to her first baby through IVF after 55 yrs of marriage. Miracles do happen and they will happen for all of us, we just need to believe and wait.

HI Everyone! Welcome to all the newcomers. You have picked an awesome site full of great support and wonderful people.

I went for my first u/s today and saw the heartbeat of our little baby!!!!! There was a good chance I was going to have twins as I released two eggs and my hcg levels were really high. I am so excited because it all seems so much more real now. I measured 6 weeks, 3 days and am due August 3.

For those of you new to the site miracles really do happen and I am proof of that. My DH and I went to the RE because he has no sperm so we needed to use a donor. We tried our first cycle with no meds and got a BFN. The 2nd cycle my RE put me on 75 units of Follistim for 5 days, 150 units for 2 more and then the trigger shot and it worked!

Do not give up hope. God will bless you all! Super Sticky Baby Dust! I'm praying for you!

This might be TMI... but my cycle has been very odd this week.  I started Thursday night, and was really heavy Friday, then I stopped and didn't have anything on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.  Now this morning as I was leaving the house for work... I started again.  But it is brown to black.  Does that sound wierd to anyone?  Do you think it could be the meds.  I have also been having terrible hot flashes at night, and haven't been sleeping well.  Not sure what the deal is.

I had the exact same thing happen the cycle I got AF after taken Clomid. I twas very heavy, and horrible cramping. The went away, and came back. Are you on Clomid??? I'm sure it's the meds but just to be safe, perhaps call your Dr and find out which is the first day of your cycle? The first day, or the 2nd time is came a few days later. Confusing for sure ;)

Sitting here waiting for the phone to ring with results from my Beta this morning. I'm not good at the waiting game ;)
Fingers crossed it's good news!!!!

Have you heard anything back from the dr yet?

BFN.

This is the first ever forum I am joining, so sorry if I babble. I was so happy to find the forum.  I wish I found it earlier in August when I started this.

A little bit about myself….
I will be 41 in March and my DH and I are on our 3rd IUI cycle.  We have decided that this is the last time we will try. I think we are both just spent emotionally.  Basically our story is we had a baby girl in 2005 with a complication and she didn’t make it.  I then had a chemical pregnancy 3 months after she was born and finally December of 2005 got pregnant with my 2nd daughter.  What a JOY!.  My first daughter is my Angel; my second daughter is my sunshine.   After her we started again to try for another bundle of joy.  I got pregnant so easily with the others but started having difficulty, maybe my age cought up with me. We did get pregnant again last October (2007) but it ended up being a “blighted ovum” at 8 weeks and I had to have an emergency DNC.  We feel so blessed with our daughter but that still doesn’t make up for wanting another one. Wow do I feel guilty and greedy!

I think this is the first time I really wrote all of this down and looked the whole thing. I should be in a mental hospital….LOL

Well that brings us to now.  I had 2 IUI Cycles with menupor and HCG Shot and no luck. My DH has a great count and they are very active.  I can’t do IVF because of a blood disorder and they are afraid of me bleeding when they remove the follicles and not being able to stop it.  My right ovary is blocked also so my chances just get less and less with my age and one side a bit off.

They did a different mix on me this time I had Menupor and Bravelle with the trigger shot.  I have 5 follicles this time (2) left side and (3) right side.   My DH’s counts were great after wash he had 34m and 99% were doing the backstroke.  So everything on paper looks good.  We will see.

Jen920 – you and I are on the same cycle…. I have my IUI on 11/7 also.  Keep me posted on how you feel!!!

GOOD LUCK AND LOTS OF BABY DUST TO ALL!!!

Hey, sorry to hear about your BFN...I know you have been on this forum a long time and it seems like many have came and gone with their BFP.  We'll get ours one of these months.  I am actually not able to try again for at least 6 months with the molar pregnancy. My HCG levels have to come back to 0 and then be monitored that they stay down at 0 for several months.  It really *****, everyday is so hard for me.

Wow, its weird to find someone else who has had a molar pregnancy also.  I have PCOS and conceived my first daughter with injectibles and IUI and then Nov of 2007 somehow I got pregnant on my own and it turned out to be molar.  Its very hard to grieve because its such a different circumstance.  I had to wait 7 months before I could try again and actually did IUI again in October and am 12 weeks pregnant now.  My levels went down really fast with the molar.

Well I did the trigger shot last night and I have been using the clearblue fertility monitor since March and it worked like clock work through July.  Then August, September, October & November it didn't detect an lh surge.  But this month it did.  So I hit peak today.  Tomorrow is my IUI which the RE told me that I would have the insemination the day after my monitor showed a surge.  I am so excited that it actually worked this month.  I hope it is a sign.

kramik107: I am so sorry to hear about AF.  Keep your head up and it will happen!  Baby Dust to You!

THANK you! I know every one of us understand how awful it feels.

Michelleinhawaii - I'm so sorry you have to wait it out for so long. I'm sure that won't be easy. I have no profound words of wisdom other than, try to use the next 6 months to get your life back. I know this process can consume us and we eat, sleep, breath it. It can be too much. While 6 months will be hard, it might also be good for you. Get yourself in great shape, see your friends, redecorate your house, just ENJOY y'know? Easier said than done I know that too ;)

I will get myself back on the horse and try again. I know I don't have much time, as i'm 42, but I have to just know that what I feel in my heart is true..I WILL be a Mother. As will everyone else on here.

baby dust to everyone ;)

Hey ladies!  I haven't been on here in a while.  I was on here during the summer during my 4 IUI's.  Unfortunately none of them worked so we decided to try IVF.  I am excited to report that the first IVF worked!  I got a BFP 11/29 and am now 5w1d pregnant.  I have my first ultrasound next week to see how many are in there, they put in 2.  My sister in law got pregnant on her first IUI.  I guess you just never know what is going to work.  For us, it was the IVF that worked.  They got 15 mature eggs from my collection and fertilized 9 the traditional way (only 2 were able to fertilize) then they took 6 and did ICSI where the inject a sperm into the egg and 5 of those 6 fertilized!  So it seems like we had a sperm/egg problem.  Those sperm were having a hard time getting into my eggs!  We are so thankful we did IVF.  I was willing to try up to 6 IUIs but after 4 we decided to do IVF.  If anyone is in the same boat or thinking of maybe trying IVF, feel free to contact me.  I wish everyone the best.  I know exactly what you all are going through!

First off Congrats!  What was your diagnosis?  Are yo unexplained?  Because that is what I am and my doctor told me that I probably will have the best success with IVF.  I am just on clomid/trigger right now.  If this month doesn't work then next month we are starting with the injections and IUI.  I said I would do that for 3 months then move on to the IVF.

Let me know your thoughts?

To All:
I went for my bw this morning and just a couple of hours got the call with the dreaded words... BFN.
Had spent the day quiet and down. But reminding myself that God has a plan for all of us and a right time for everything.
Now because of holidays no more tries with anything. Will be tring Au Naturel :)
Then in Jan I'll be traveling so I guess we'll be moving to Ivf in Feb. I hope and pray that I get my miracle before the IVF.

I also have a question for all of you. Is anyone of you trying any alternative medicine along with all these meds and procedures. For examples accupuncture, herbel bedicines, yoga etc.?

To Lola: I am really sorry to hear about ur BFN. I share your pain and sadness ANd I also share your postive thoughts. I know that we are all going to be mothers as we always get what we deeply wish for. You'll be in my prayers.

To Jennstowe: Good luck and I pray that this IUI bring you a happy news.

To kramik107: Sorry to hear about AF. Don't we all just hate her by now. Wish it would give us a break. But cheer up as we'll be praying for success in your next cycle.

To Michelleinhawaii: I must be tough to go through all this. Hugs and prayers to you. I know it is tough to wait even for 2 weeks, but i agree with lola. Give yourself some pampering during this time and relax. Soon you'll have your bundle of joy.

To Wanna-be-preggers: Congrats dear. Reading about your BFP made me cheerup and hopeful. I am happy for you. Wish you happy healty nine months.

I have PCOS and we have a slight male factor.  (my husband's count is sporadically low).  That's our diagnosis.  After 4 failed IUI's I was shocked to learn our first IVF worked.  And it really was not that bad.  The process itself was surprisingly easy.  Good luck to you!  I'd say give it a try!

Hello!  Just had my IUI done this morning so I am officially in the 2WW.  I am due for my AF on Dec 26th. Hopefully I don't get it.  The IUI went very well this morning my DH specimen was great I had 19.5 million after the wash with great mobility the doctor said he was very pleased with the number.  So we will see.

Sounds like we're on the exact same time schedule.  I had my IUI's yesterday and today with 1 follicle on the right side and 3 on the left.  I started with about 40 follicles and they weren't going to let me even do an IUI, but thankfully a majority of them stayed small and so we were left with 4 good ones!  I feel like I've already won a battle just getting to the point where we could do the IUI (I guess my doctor was really worried about hyperstimulation because of the massive number of follicles).  Now we wait :)  Good luck...hope we get our Christmas wish!

Hope you are still lurking!
Just a few questions
How many follies did you have when you got pregnant both times?
Did you use progestrone supositories at all?
Did your DH have low sperm count or motility?
Just want to see what my chances are given my circumstances.
Thanks....you are a huge inspiration to me and you kept me positive about the injectable drugs and I thank you so much!

They say any count of over 1 million is good enough to have asucessful IUI.  I guess more is always giving you a better chance, but I know they won't do IUI if it's less than a million.

Yes I still come on to read how everyone is doing.  The first time with my daughter I had 3 follies all on one side and DH's count was 11 million and not sure about motility that time.  This time I had 2 follies both on the same side (one was 19 and one was 14 2 nights before the IUI so I am not sure how big they got.  DH's count was 13.9 mil (both amounts are after wash) and the motility was great.  They never had me take any progesterone or anything (I guess mine must be good because they never even mentioned it).  Both times I got pregnant with just 1 single baby... soo weird but just shows you that god does what he wants.  I have faith that this will work for you.  With my daughter in 2005 I had the IUI on December 10th and didnt test until the day after Christmas because I was soo scared and didnt want a BFN for Christmas.  When will you test?

Thanks so much for the response,it means soooooo much!
I had 2 follies on my right side a 19 and 15 and then I did HCG trigger next day and then the next 2 days after I did IUI.Sounds like the same timing as yours, hopefully that's a good sign.
I go in on the 22nd for BW and will find out on the 23rd.I started the progestrone this am,I have to inject it vaginally am and pm for the next 18 days, apparently it makes your lining more cushy so the egg has a better chance of implanting and sticking.I hate injecting it,it's such a yucky mess but hopefully it's worth it. I think I'll do anything at this point, lol.
What if any symptons did you have right after your IUI's?Any signs that you were pregnant?I have some mild abdominal cramps off and on and am bloated.Don't know if this is normal or not?
Talk soon, and again thanks for talking to me about all this.
Hope your pregnancy is going well?!
Do you know what your having?

Also, I forgot to mention to you that I didnt have back to back IUI's with either of them... only one so I am sure that helps your chances some also.  I had bad bad cramps the night after my IUI and then I woke up the next day and they were totally gone so I figured they were ovulation cramps.  I really didnt have any signs until probably like 9 days after.  I broke out like usual on my face but it went away right away and also one thing I noticed the most that was unusual was I had charlie horses a lot at night and I dont usually get them.  Also, I started having sore bb's and just real light cramps (not period ones).  Its really hard to tell because of course you want to be pregnant so bad that I think sometimes people make themselves get some symptoms.  Try not to think about it alot.. I know that is realllly hard to do.  My lining was really thick when they did the ultrasound.  My pregnany is going great ever since that little bit of spotting scare at 5 weeks.  I am 12 weeks today.  I wont find out what I am having until Feb I am thinking but I do have a nuchal testing thing on Tuesday that I opted to do just cause of course I wanna see my baby again.  I am going to ask them if they can give me a hint then.  I read on other posts in here that studies show they are like 90 - 95 percent accurate even at 12 weeks with telling the gender.... maybe they wont tell me but I am gonna ask anyways :o)

I am having cramps but they feel somewhat like AF cramps but then they go away. by bb's are sore and heavy and they haven't felt like this since my last two miscarriages. I am hoping and praying that my iui works. I want to test early but I am scared of what the results may be.

To: Jennstowe,
Hello, sorry I didn't write back sooner I wasn't on all weekend.  For the IUI I did on Froday 12/12 I was on 150 mg of clomid then the one trigger shot.  I had 3 follies on the left side and the size were 14, 15, & 20.  The IUI went great I had 9.5 mil after the wash and the motility was great.  So the doctor was very pleased.  I go back on Wednesday 12/17 for my progesterone test.  Last month I didn't have to go on anything.  So hopefully the same will be this month.  Then I go in Dec 29th if I don't get my af before then.  My RE and I already discussed it and next month  I will start injections if this month doens't work.  I am so glad I have a couple of people on the same schedule as me it will make the next 2 weeks a little more bearbale.

jll0802:  Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner either.  Like I just said to Jennstowe I am so glad I have a couple of you on the same schedule as me.  It makes this whole process a little more bearable.  So how are you feeling?  I was really crampy all day Friday and I guess it was because I was ovulating.  Then Saturday I was still a little bloated and uncomfortable.  But by yesterday I was fine.

Kisstin:  You are such an inspiration through all of this that it actually does work!  What were you on with each of your pregnancies?  Were you doing injectibles?

I was on follistim both times.  I tried Clomid and never got pregnant with it although we never did IUI with it either.  My insurance covers injectables so I figured I would just do those with the IUI instead of clomid.  I am glad I am an inspiration to soo many on here.  I feel like its my duty to let everyone know that this does work and it will for you.  Sometimes it just works quicker with some.  They only give you like a 20 percent chance of it working each cycle but obviously that must vary with some people.  I think my chances were obviously greater than that with it working the first time both times I tried it.  I just think it depends on what your body needs to get that way.

Good evening everyone. I have been quietly reading everyone's posts and I want to wish you all well. I have only posted once prior to this post and I have yet to be successful in getting pregnant with the IUIs. I don't know if anyone lives in the vicinity of Ohio/Kentucky, but if you do and your are possibly thinking on moving on to IVF, I have found a facility that offers packaged prices for IVF with a money back guarantee if you do not become pregnant. It is really worth looking into.

hi everyone---
It's been a little bit since i've posted...

hope313, my iui is scheduled for the 17th and 18th.  I am wishing all goes well.  I have two main follicles, 18mm and 19mm plus others that are b/w 15 and 17.
I just did my hcg shot.  I am excited but taking everything one day at a time :-)

this is my second iui cycle this year with my current RE (but 5th in total).
Last cycle i was on clomid and this time Dr decided to do bravelle injectables.  I think i preferred the injectibles as I did not have as many side effects as when i was on the clomid.  Just tired and fatigued.

i hope all goes well for us this cycle.  Nice to have a cycle buddy this time around.  i know that after tmrw the 2ww will be here and grow on me, but still i want to take everything one day at a time and keep the faith that this month will be God's timing for me/us and this month the numners (stats) will work in our favor...

Thanks for the well wishes.  I pray all goes well for you guys doing the iuis this week as well.  Just a few days apart in the 2ww.  It's hard but, bfromthed, you are right-staying busy helps.  With christmas around the corner, I think that will be good for us all...

As for me-I went for my iui this morning and all went well.  Prayed for no pain and discomfort and got just that, no pain or discomfort-God answered my prayers.  Still not feeling anything but I  know that my ovulation pains will kick in soon.

On the flip side, my DHs numbers were not where RE wanted them.  He has a history of low count but RE put him on clomid and last iui cycle (oct08) he progressed nicely, better than the RE expected.  Post wash numbers, motility were great.  So, RE decided to keep him on it and this cycle the numbers just went back down again.
Prewash the count was normal but post wash got only 1/2 a million (very low).

RE says to not be discouraged as it only takes one.  But you know how it is, the more #s we hear in terms of the count, the more optiomistic the outlook is.
He decided we should BD tomorrow morning and night and not to pay for another iui tomorrow.  he does not want to run the risk of having another low count.  He sayd for that, we can do it ourselves.  I was a bit sad after hearing that this morning but still prasied God for what he has given me so far and am having faith that this month will be the month.

My DH on the other hand, he took the news horribly.  He was so down.  Because we work conflicting schedules, I was unable to give him a big hug.  I did assure him all is fine and will work out for the best if it's God's will and his timing for us this month - it only takes one.  He has a son already (13yrs old) and is taking it hard that his male factor is affecting him to be able to help give us a child together.  He does not drink, smoke, do drugs, nothing like that.  He works nights (5pm until) and is a driver.  I think that the sitting has to do with it but who knows cuz plenty of drivers have tons of kids :-)

Sorry for the long post but I feel better sharing my experience with you guys.  Thanks for listening/reading :-)

Heres to much baby dust to us all!!!

Going to get him some Geritol (pill form as the liquid has 12% alcohol) and pump him up in vit C and zinc.  But I know we will sure have fun over the next couple of days, lol...

To: all of you with low sperm counts
My husband does not have low count, but low volume meaning that what very little seminal fluid he does have has a good number of sperm in.  When we started doing our IUI's, my DH count was between 35-45 million...I was seeing an acupuncturist and she said my DH should take zinc, vitamin C, and selenium.  He took the vitamins 2x a day and within our next IUI cycle his count was up to 80 million!!!  We did end up conceiving on our 5th IUI and with our molar pregnancy the genetic testing revealed that 2 sperms got into the egg.  I said, hmmm...super sperm...must have been from all the vitamins!  You should definately try it.

I am new to this site, but I see many of you are going thru the same things as I am. I had an IUI with clomid done 9 days ago. So today is five days left and I was going to take a test tommorrow. This is my sixth time going thru this so I am hoping its my last. Good luck with everyone during there 2ww. If anyone has any help they can give me please do so. Should I be feeling any symptoms yet??....

Thank you for the positive words!  I love this forum.  I can't wait to seee my dh tonight so i can give him a big hug.  Just spoke to him and his spirits are up now, much better than earlier today :-)

I am indeed very faithful and being positive.  My RE's office did mention for me to buy the vit c and zinc for dh.  they were shocked today with the low numbers as cycle all was fine, although past semen analysis have shown low count.  You just never know...hence you have to take things one day at a time.

Congrats on all the BFPs as well.  It's been a long journey but you are proof that it works and our time will come.

I'll keep you all posted aftr going to the dr next week to check levels...

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi and let all of you know I really appreciate your posts, they give me so much faith, hope and support.I will find out on Tuesday if this round worked for my hubby and I.Haven't really had any syptoms (symptoms) per say however my BB's have been sore but I am on progestrone supositories.Today I had an unusual sensation in my mid abdomin (abdomen),it was like a fluttery butterflies sensation? It lasted about  45 mins and then stopped.Never felt that before?Of coarse many things ran through my head and all of a sudden I just stopped analizing it and smiled and enjoyed it,just incase it was truly my first sign of pregnancy.I know that might sound alittle foolish lol.My DH has been more upset then usual since our last IUI,I think he's just getting overly discouraged, which saddens me alot.I tell him God has our little one,he's just waiting for the perfect time to send him to us.His cousin just had a baby lastweek and he cried after he saw the baby,I was shocked. He turned to me and said why aren't we good enough to have a baby......I really do pray and hope with all my might that Tuesday we find out our little angel from God id finally on it's way......
Take care everyone,I am thinkning of all of you while we all try to get our little gifts from God.

Tell your husband to hang in there. My husband felt the same way after both of my miscarriages. we both cried! Tell him to also pray as well. I wish you luck and I do hope and pray you get your BFP!!!! I will also pray that you will get double the wish! I used to think about women who can have babies and can't take care of them and I use to cry myself to sleep cause I wanted one bad and we have been trying so hard. Don't worry his cousin had her time to shine and very soon it will be yours. Keep your head up and hopes high. And a lot of baby dust to you!

Hello everyone. My cycle was suppose to start today. I am so glad that 2ww is over. Yes!!! But now I am having some brown spotting. I know it may sound gross but I smelled it and sometimes it smells like blood but other times no smell at all. My cousin told me that it maybe implantation bleeding. BUT my close friend told me that thats exactly what she had and she is 7 months prego. I am waiting until Saturday morning to take a test if my cycle doesn't start later on tonight or tomorrow. I will keep everyone posted.

Well I received my progesterone level tests back yesterday and they wanted a 10 at least and I was at a 19 so I didn't have to go on the promethium this month.  Which I am happy about.  Well I am 6 days in to my 2 week wait and I am not to crazy yet.  Give me a few more days on that.  I wish all of you lots of baby Dust this month!  You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this holiday season.  It is so great to have such a wonderful forum to talk on.

bfromthed:  Good luck this weekend with your IUI.  I will be thinking of you.

Jennstowe: How are you doing?  I have not one symptom at all yet.  But I don't expect to have any I think it is still too early.  Anything yet?

by cb_hoping, Dec 18, 2008 11:21AM
I went in for U/S this morning and have 2 follies on the left measuring both at 30, and one follie on the right measuring at 27.  Hopefully this will work this time around!

The last time I posted was right after my IUI, that was on the 4th of Dec but I have been reading all ur post. They helped me thru my 2ww.

Today was my PT day and BFN :(!! You know what my husband said, he said he's tired!! He doesn't know what else God wants him to do. He said he wished he knew what was wrong, nothing is wrong and yet no BFP! He said better if something was wrong, so we'll know what to focus on rather than this continous BFN!! I felt so sad and I wished I could take his pain away. He isnt looking forward to our next IUI or an IVF. All this in the New Year. We are taking a break for the holidays.
All you in the 2ww, I wish all BFP!!! And lots and lots of baby dust!!

Happy holidays!!

PS Has anyone taken Ovidril then waited 36 hours for iui?

by dimps1978, Dec 18, 2008 02:40PM

Hi, yes I have done that with the Ovidrel.  I took it last Wednesday at 9:00 then my IUI was done friday at 9:30.  Good luck with your IUI.

My RE also had me wait a little over 36 hours b/w my ovidrel and IUI last cycle.  This time around I did ovidrel on Wednesday evening and back to back IUI's on Thursday/Friday.  I've heard that 36 hours is good timing...good luck!

I had progesterone check today and it was 53.  Happy with that number, but last month I was at 49 and got a BFN so I guess a 53 doesn't really mean much other than I ovulated.  We'll see.....Day 14 is Christmas Day but I think I'll wait to test til after Christmas if I haven't gotten AF yet.  I'm praying for our Christmas miracle!

Well it's now 6 days past IUI and well as far as symptoms not too much.My BB's are alittle sore and very full feeling,I am quite bloated but was told that's due to the progestrone supositories?Has anyone been on these?I hate it! Yesterday in the afternoon I had a very wierd sensation in my abdomin (abdomen),it was like a fluttery feeling almost like butterflies in my lower abdomin (abdomen)?I saw it felt wierd because I have never felt a sensation like that before.I have mild twinges of pain on and off but it seems to be only on my left side? All my follies were on my right side this month?Anyone pregnant feel any of this or am I going completely insane LOL
I was an emotional wreck today,I think I cried 4 or 5 times at nothing really.I have also been really mad with everything. My hubby asked me tonight what has got you so angry?I didn't know what he was talking about. He said for the past few days I've acted and talked like I hate the world.Gosh I guess all this is really getting to me.
Well I think I ranted enough,I am thinking about all the gals who are on TWW,those who are going to go for IUI and ((((Big Hugs))) to those who got a BFN(I am so sorry for another month of let down)
We got to all keep positve...as hard hard as it is!Or BFP's are coming,I just know it.
I can't wait for Tuesday!!!!!!!!

Sadly, Wednesday af came. I've been ttc for one year now and the first IUI didn't come through. We'll definitley try again. Thing is my IUI was on day 17 and my cycle was just 28 days. It seemed kind of late to me. They did it 42 hours post shot. Good luck to everyone. I thought it had worked. You can read so much into every little odd feeling.

As you may have read, I just did my first IUI and it was unsuccessful. Our infertility is unexplained, we don't have any children yet (I'm 24 and dh is 25)and the doctor said we could do IUI several times. I think I'll wait it out one cycle. For those of you that have done it a few times, did you wait a cycle or two before you went back in? I saw in an earlier post where someone says it helps to stay busy...boy does it ever. With Christmas coming and all kinds of parties and shopping it does help keep your mind off of your disappointment or your 2ww.

Kisstin: Maybe I'll see if we can do it sooner next time. Glad to hear IUI's worked for you.

To All: I know of a woman near where I live who took something natural or herbal and got prego after like five years of trying. I'm not close enough to her to ask her what it was. Have any of you heard of anyone having success with something like this?

So I got a BFP!!! And this was my first iui. I have started the trend for christmas and I know everyone else will also be blessed. 2009 is the year of the baby! Hello alll...
It's been a while since my post so i thought i'd check in with everyone.
I am so happy to hear of the BFP's. God is good isn't HE?? :-)
To all the BFN's keep your head's up. God has a plan for us all so I know he will soon bless us all with our tiny little miracles.
As for me I had my laparascopic surgery done on Thursday so I am still recovering from that. The good news is that my RE was able to unblock both of my tubes and disolve some cysts(which should make me fertile) I was very shocked to hear that both tubes were blocked but definately happy as well b/c now I know that my DH and I should be able to conceive without a problem now.
I go to RE tomorrow to have my incisions looked at and to have my stitches taken out so i will then find out what's next for us.

Wish me luck and baby dust...
Good luck to all and God Bless

I totally understand the disappointment. I actually did better than I thought I would when af came. I was at work (I teach high school) and I was busy and have kept very busy since then. Are you going to try IUI again? Was this your first time? It was our first try. I sort of want to try clomid with it to increase our chances. The thing is I've ovulated every month and my cycles are like clockwork every 28 days. They told us my husbands' sperm count is normal but the consistency is thick making it hard for it to reach the egg.

To All: I know of a woman (age 29) who lives in my area who had tried for about seven years. She did IVF a few months ago and is due in June. I just keep in mind that if there is a will there's a way. God has taken care of everything in my life so far, so I know he'll help us deal with what we are given. Don't forget that our lives are passing us by while we dwell over conceiving. We need to remember to live each day to the fullest because this is truly out of our hands. I've actually been keeping my spirits up by spending lots of quality time with my girlfriends and my husband. I hope that I'm done with the emotional breakdowns--I haven't had one since October. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about here. GOOD LUCK and think back to how you enjoyed life before this little road block. Live that way as much as you can. You deserve it.

You are so right!  I agree 100%.  I have been mentally preparing myself this month thatif this month doens't work there is a plan and just stay positive.  But it is so much easier said then done when that AF comes.  But I am trying very hard this month to keep my spirits up.

I have the same thing as you I ovulate every month like clock work.  And this isn't working for me.  It is so frustarating.  This whole Unexplained Fertility thing is the worst because there aren't answers.  Good luck!  I just did my 2nd month of IUI with clomid and it does increase your chances but not by much.  Next month I am moving on to injectibles with IUI.  So we will see.  My 2 ww is up on Friday.  I am anxious to test but I am going to hold out.

bfromthed:  It sounds like things went great yesterday.  Welcome to the 2ww.  I wish you noting bt sticky vibes and lots & lots of baby dust.  I feel it will all happen in early 2009 for us.  It will be our year!

TO ALL:  I hope everyone is doing well who are in their 2 WW.  And anyone that is going in soon good luck and I will be praying for all of you!  Good luck!

1dpiui I am soooo bloated and in lots of pain!!! Especially on my left (no tube)at the time of iui I did have a left over follie from last month that was a 33 but re said lets go for it since my numbers on the right were so good and the tube is there too..any suggestions on how to ease the bloat? :)

by Jennstowe, Dec 24, 2008 01:36AM
Well just wanted to drop by and say Merry Christmas to everyone.
I found out today that it's BFN for me this time around. My RE seems to think it may be to early tho and wants me to test on christmas day?Not holding my breath.but trying to stay positive.I am really depressed as you can all imagine,i was praying so hard!I'll let you know in a few days if anything new arises.

Taetaye- Hope you can give me some info regarding the surgery you just had?!Just wondering how you got to the point to have the surgery?Did they see anything wrong prior to advising you to go for surgery? The reason why I am asking is,I wonder if somethings wrong with my tubes?Maybe I have a blockage and don't even know it?Just want to rule out all the possibilities. So what was the surgery like and were you put under?I hope you are feeling ok and can start your next fertility cycle soon.I appreciate you comments on this it would ease my mind.

bfromthed- Hope you are doing ok.I took a warm bath after IUI and it eases your cramps and bloating. Not too hot just warm.Thoughts and prayers are with you as always.
Thinking of everyone else on here who is in the 2WW or recently got a BFN as well.

(((((((Big Hugs))))))
Hope Santa is good to everyone!

I am so sorry for your BFN.  I am due for AF in 2 days and I have a feeling it is coming.  So we will see but I don't think it is looking too good.  I will be thinking of you!

I just happened to come across this site, and have been reading your stories.  You have really touched me.  I am a mother of three beautiful children.  I was able to get pregnant fairly easy (so I can't relate).  I just wanted you to know (and all other women) to keep positive and have faith.  Like I said, I can't relate to the frustration and dissapointment you must be going thru every single month.  I thank god for my angels every single day.  My Christmas wish is that all of you get BFP's for 2009, and get to experience what I believe some women take for granted every day...

GOOD LUCK!  My thoughts are with you....
