I have unexplained fertility with no sperm issue on husband side but he did mention that my body is acting like I am in my late 30's instead of early 30's. IUI worked for me twice (2nd IUI each time) and I always produced 3 folicies ranging 20mm-35mm with 100mg Clomid. But for some reason my pregnancies did not stick both time, thats why I was put on Progesteron this cycle after my IUI. My doctor told me that I have great chances with IVF but would like me to continue with IUI for few more cycles. Most of the IUIs work on 2nd or 3rd cycles. After 5 failed IUIs you should switch to other treatments. So please  keep your hope high and give IUI at least 3 chances. It will be successful for you.
If you are on Clomid or other drug there is chance your period will be delayed. My doctor told me after ovulation its best to get period after 14 days if you get period earlier than that then there might be some concern.

Hello everyone,
I just had my second IUI today. This is my fifth and final IUI. I had 4 large follicles - 2 on each side. My doctor gave me the whole "multiples" talk telling me about all the risks. He said if it was my first cycle, he would have cancelled it. My hubby's count was excellent both days so now we are officially on the dreadful 2ww.  I had cramping yesterday and still some mild cramping today.  I will try and keep busy during the 2ww so I don't go crazy thinking about symptoms!!!  Baby dust to everyone!!!

ok, so im 12 days post iui, was crampy last few days and today nothing. no cramps, not bbs soreness. Very confused and don't know what to think. Im not bloated either. Im getting discouraged, iwas going to test today and then didnt cause i didnt want to ruin my day. But tomorrow im going to first thing. I remember with all three pregnancies i had cramping and a feeling of fullness in my abdomin (abdomen) and i have none of that. I did have a bit of a gi bug this week which may have cleaned me out and thats why im not bloated so im holding on to that for some hope. Anyone else hear of anyone being prego without signs.

Went to re's office today CD11 and my e2 is 466 (they said that is great) my lining is 11.2 (great) on the right (have a tube there) I have a 13, 11, and four 10's on the left (no tube there) I have a 10 and two 11's so I hope the right keeps out growing the left...going back on Saturday Nurse said IUI will probably be Monday/Tuesday since they grow 1-2mm a day and they like to do the iui when they are 18 or larger...Thanks for the well wishes and I will keep you guys posted!!!

I am so bummed right now I can cry but I am at work so I am trying so hard not too.  I jsut went to the ladies room about 30 minutes ago and I am spotting.  It isn't too heavy at all and it is red not like brown (tmi) Sorry!  So I called the RE right away and they said it could be implantation bleeding or break through bleeding because my progesterone levels were on the border line just at a 10.  So I am a nervous mess right now.  My RE is calling in to my pharmacy a prescription for promethium so I am keping my fingers crossed.  I am just so not happy right now.  Did you ever have that belore?

When I did IUI and got pregnant with my daughter like around 13 days piui I had red spotting and I remember just bawling and then it stopped.  Here it was implantation bleeding because I did get a BFP after that.  I did not have any implantation bleeding this time.  How many dpiui are you?

I am 9 dpiui. I am just getting a little stronger cramps now also.  I am so worried.  The RE is putting me on promethium starting tonight so now I am not going to have af anymore.  I am jsut beside myself right now I don't know what to think.  It was a very bright red though when it happend.  And now I do have a little brown spotting not much at all though do you think it is just left over from last month?  Sorry to be so graphic?

Hi,
It sounds like implantation bleeding to me. You are only 9dpiui which is implantation range. Implantation usually happens 6-12 days past ovulation. Don't stress yourself and relax.

Thank you so much it is the brown discharge that is now worrying me.  First it was jsut red but now it is a little brown I usually get this spotting right before my af comes that is why I am so nervous.  Do you think it could still be implantation bleeding and left over af from last month?  Sorry to be so graphic.  I am jsut a worried mess and this is my first child so I have nothing to compare it to at all.

I had cramps and bright red spotting with my pregnancy around 8dpiui.if your progestrone level was that low why your RE never started you with progestrone after your IUI.

That is what I asked on Monday and they said that they like to see at least a 10 and I asked being that I was just a 10 do you want to put me on it and they said no.  But they are now calling in the prescription.  So I will be on it tonight.  We will see I guess.  Do you know if my af starts will it continue on the promethium or will it stop all together.

Hi,
Progestrone sometimes delay your period. I was told that I might not get my period on expected date as I am on progesterone . So I am not sure if it will delay your AF at this time. I am guessing your Re is putting you on progestrone now because they think it might be implantaion bleeding and the level is too low to support future pregnancy.
Again don't stress yourself its not good for you at this time.

I am OK with all these IUIs and 2ww. I saw BFP three times with no results so I don't know if I should be happy anymore to see BFP. But am hopefull. I was very skinny before around 90 pounds for 5.00 feet but now I have put on some wait in a hope that my body will carry it to the end.
I will keep you posted when I start getting my stress full moments.

When you are on Progesterone could a HPT still come back with a BFP or is blood work the only test that could be taken?

Hi,
Progestrone has no effect on your HCG (Pregnancy Hormone) level. You can get BFP with HPT but wait till 14dpiui to test.

Well I am still spotting but it is heavier now.  I called the RE and the RE said to keep taking the promethium through the weekend then go in first thing Monday morning if it continues.  What a nightmare this is!  Not to mention the worst emotional roller coaster anyone can be on.

I wish you the best. If your AF starts soon which I pray not. Please ask your RE why do you get your period so soon after IUI or ovulation. Once I ovulated very late (18th day) usually my cycles are 26-27 days and did not get my AF till 31st day. My RE told me that you should expect your AF after 14dpo which is good other wise he would be concerned if I get it sooner. I am  5dpiui and has no symptons yet which is early, I am also taking progesterone and has no side effects yet. I understand what you are going through just stay strong. Every night I say prayer before going to bed and you are in my prayers.

Hey girls - just checking in and wishing all of you the best.  After a very nerve-wracking week, we finally heard a heartbeat this morning.  We went on Monday and they couldn't find a heartbeat yet and I was devastated.  Thankfully, they were willing to see me back today and we heard a heartbeat loud and clear.  I'm 7 weeks now.  Thanks for all your support....it was good to know other people were going through the same stuff and to hear all the other symptoms, side effects, etc.

Thanks for the information. We were planning on doing our second IUI this next cycle, but my period still hasn't showed. Today is day 31 for me and in the last year I've only had one cycle (July 08) which lasted longer than 29 days. I've had twinges that felt like it was coming but it never has...no spotting-nothing. By breasts are swollen and sore like they usually are before my period comes. Do you think I should test? I really have no symptoms other than swollen breasts. I'm not on clomid and have never taken it. Do you think this would help though even though I'm ovulating on my own. Your words make me feel a little more confident about the IUI's working.

I usually ovulate on my own. I don't get a trigger shot. But clomid makes more than one folicile to mature and release egg, so it gives you more chances. Do ask your doctor for clomid it does not cost that much and will give you better chance with IUI. If you are past 14days after your IUI then you should test. A lot of women don't get symptons until their 5th or 6th week.

So im 13 days post iui and i tested this morning and got a bfn. I was so upset and just got back intot bed and didnt want to go to work. I feel like if i wrew prego it would have shown up by now. I had lost all my symptoms for a few days and tonight i am just soooo moody and bitchy, not sure if its hormones or just feeling bad. And my bb are a little sore which is new and im mildly crampy. So i just don't know if i should still think there is a chance or throw in the towel. I know that sounds negitive but i just felt so good about this month and all the bad feelings are creeping back in and to think of starting another cycle is so hard. I will go on clomid for the first time which im scared about, but maybe that will give me a greater chance.

Dimps1978: im praying for you and it sounds like your having a worse month then me. It really could be implantation bleeding, ive heard of people thinking they had just a really light period for a few days not even realizing they were prego. Its so hard for us because we are just so aware of what are bodies are doing that we analyze everything and i don't know how to stop. ok, keep us posted. i go for a beta on monday if i make it that far.

As soon as I posted re's office called ok here we go...my E2 is 1463 on the right (tube there) I have a 17, 16, 14, 13, two 12's, and a 11 on the left (no tube) I have a 15, 14,, 13, 12, and a 11 I have to take 75 Gonal f And 75 Menopur tonight and bd Ovidril on Sunday night and iui is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 9 am so I will be able to test on Feb 3rd if all goes well :)...Pray for me that the right out grows the left and thats where I o from please!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday our electric was out so the husband and I took off for Red Lobster and a movie. We went and saw Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood and it was really good. Since it was cycle day 32 I had him pull into Wallgreens so I could get some stamps and I grabbed a pregnancy test. He didn't even want to buy it. He was like"$14.00!" He's kind of tight. Anyhow I came home, peed on the stick, and I about fell off the toilet screaming. Two dark pink lines! A couple hours later I tested again and got the same results.

I couldn't believe we did it on our own. No IUI, no temperature charting, no meds, no OPK. Here I was waiting to schedule another IUI. This was our thirteenth month of trying. God answers prayers. Don't give up ladies....it is a matter of time.

For those of you looking for symptoms...I hardly have any. My breasts are swollen, but not much more than when I'm getting my period. I have had an increased appetite and have felt bloated and a little crampy...very similiar to when your period is coming. Nothing really substantial though. Although according to my calculations I ovulated around December 31.

I've been praying for all of you and I'll continue to do so.

Good Morning!  I didn't post all weekend it was a little rough for me.  I am still spotting I did however speak to a family member who went through all of this and she is also a doctor. So she has been my go to source all weekend and she still feels these are all good signs.  But  I am not very optimistic but we will see.  tomorrow will be 14 dpiui.  So I am going to do a home test tomorrow then I go in on Thursday to the RE for the blood work.  I will keep everyone posted.  

Danielle30:  Thanks for the well wishes.  How are you doing today?  How are you feeling?  I read your post and clomid is really nto that bad I responeded really well to the clomid with no real side effects.  This was my first month on injections so we will see.

Dimps:  Good luck tomorrow!  I hope you get your BFP.  I'm with bfromthed though...don't lose hope with a BFN b/c I also got one 14dpiui and then took another test about 4 days later and got BFP.  I guess 14dpiui was just too early for me.

Taetaye:  I had no side effects from clomid, but it thinned my lining so I couldn't use it alone.  I had to add injections so that my lining was thick enough.  Make sure RE is watching lining so that you can avoid miscarriage.

I had no side effects with clomid, it does help with follicle growth but it does thin the endometrium lining. Iam no longer using clomid i've moved to gonal f injections.

Good Morning Ladies.  Well I took a HPT and I got a BFP!  I am so excited right now I cna't even contain myself.  I am still spotting slightly I am hoping that stops now.  I was so nervous this morning because nothing showed up on the test for the first few minutes then about 5 minutes later there were two very bright PINK lines.  So needless to say I was beside myself happy!  I go to the RE on Thursday for my blood test.  I will let you all know how that goes.  I won't be over the moon until I hear a heart beat but for now I will take this!  Thank you all for all your support I don't know what I would do without any of you.  I am praying for all of you every day!  Please keep me posted and i will be back checking in.

All: IUI went well this morning I feel fine no pain or anything,,,nips just sore from ovidril..I did feel some mild cramping on the left for about two minutes after the procedure then it stopped ( I have no tube there so nothing should travel that way...right???) anyway numbers were good 35million after wash and 97% motility I will going back in a wk to have my progestrone checked...please keep us in your prayers that IUI number 5 has done the trick....Baby Dust and Sticky Vibes to all :)   God Bless!

May I know how many times you have taken the IUI and which time you were successful? Tomorrow is my 11thday af and I have an appointment with the doctor. She is going to do some baseline scan to see how the size of my follicles are.

moni81: This was my 3rd IUI and first using all injections.  I was on Follistim.  I did 2 iui's with clomid then this was my 1st with the follistim.  My DH and I were ttc for about 16 months.  So it has been a long journey not as long as some other peoples but long.  I just hope and pray that all goes well and this is a very happy/healthy 9 months.

I go in today for my IUI.  And tonight I am laying on the couch- definitely taking it easy.  I am not sure how many more of these we will do.  But I am afraid to stop because if we start back up, it would be like starting all over from what I have been told.  

dimps1978- CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am sooooo happy for you!  Please keep us posted.  I started on Follistim this month.  50 mg of clomid, with 150 of follistim (1 shot).  I pray this cocktail works for us!  

babyhopes81- it seems that we all have different experiences with IUI.  Some spotting is normal from the catheder.  Hopefully you see some spotting between days 6 and 12!  Good luck!

bfromthed- I go in this afternoon for my IUI.  This will be #5 for me as well.  (#3 post laparascopic surgery)  Keep me posted on your progress, and any symptoms you may have.  I have been very bloated feeling- but I am guessing it has to do with more follies than normal.  Hopefully one (or more) takes this time.  Good luck!

Thank you for your well wishes...Look forward to more conversation.  I took Gonal-F...this time they started me on 150 units since the last few times I only had one mature follicle.  This time, they triggered me with one at 18 and one at 10.  My 3 day FSH was 11 so maybe thats why i am not responding so well.  Last month I had a chemical pregnancy and had low HCG levels.  I have had mild cramping but am not sure its the progesterone suppositories..(which are totally gross, by the way).  Anyway, I am trying not to get my hopes up.  But this is all i can think about.  Its hard going to work and getting anything accomplished...I just keep searching the internet for information.  I am discouraged about my age.

My husband has low counts and motility.  The past few cycles he has had 7-18 million washed sperm.  The doc suggested a couple months ago that he start taking "fertility blend for men" sold at gnc.  So for three months now he has been taking it, and his counts today were 18 million prewash, 30 million washed with great motility!

I went through the same thing last month. Miscarried at 5 week with low hcg count.I started taking 100mg clomid this month resulted in three folicles sized 28,27and 24 on right side and ovulated on my own on 12th day and had IUI done on 13th day. The doctor made my poor husband go through some chromosomal sperm test to see if his sperm are not the reason for my misscarriages. The result came above normal and cost us a lot. Now the doctor has placed me on progesterone supposittories. Today is my 10dpiui with no symptons. Keeping my hopes alive.

Hello All I jsut got my beta results in and I am officially preggers.  The RE said this morning that he wanted at least a 50 and my Beta came back at a 358 I am only 16 days past ovulation.  So they dr was very happy with those numbers.  I still have to stay on the promethium everyday.  But otherwise they said it is looking good.  Also they said no strenuous activity and try to relax when possible.  
I go back on Monday for my next round of bw, then again on Wednesday.  Then they will schedule my first ultrasound.

Kisstin:  What was your beta for your first vist?

at 16 dpiui mine was 97 and at 18 dpiui ut was 214 so those numbers are great.  Sounds like maybe there is more than 1 bean in there.  How many follies did you have?

All of us should congratulate dimps1978 on her great numbers. I have a small doubt. If there are more than one dominant follicle, does it not result in multiple pregnancy? And is it not a problem?
I had my scan today and the follicle was of 18.6. So my doctor wants to give the hcg trigger tomorrow and my IUI is scheduled for Monday.

if you have more than one dominant follicle, you have more of a chance of getting pregnant as there are two eggs that can be fertilized.  That is definitely not a problem.  I had my IUI on saturday with the dominant one at 18,,,and a smaller one at 10...I had the trigger shot on thursday...so i am wondering if the 10 would grow bigger by the iui and increase my chances???  All three of my iui's were done with one dominant follicle.

I have a question...I woke up this morning at 3am or so to potty and had very bad craming in my lower abdomen then again at 8am when I woke up again...no spotting... it has subsided but its mild still...I am only 4dpiui as of this morning (Saturday) and CD 20??? If there is any implantation going on I should not have it this early should I? I had not been charting my temp so I started this morning and I will continue it was 98.2 (but since I have not been charting I am not sure what my "baseline" is) I have no normal signs of af coming (I usually start to hot flash and have chills around that time) but what's "normal" when we are doing this??? Also I am ususaly a 29-30 day cycle person..the only time af came early was 3 cycles ago when I had the 21 follies and it came around cd 24 or 25 (I think)??

Woke up this morning feeling totally fine! I'm new to this whole forum thing, but I see there are so many people going through the same thing.  I am 33 and have been trying for 3 years.  I finally found out I had a huge polyp along with several other polyps in my uterus.  I had them removed in September and we decided to try for 3 months on our own. No luck, so I just did my IUI on Wed. I was on clomid only 25mg and on CD 12 I had two good follicles size 19 and 22.  They made me take the hcg injection(Ovidrel) and I went the next two days for an  IUI.  My husbands sperm count was 60 million both days and everything looks good on paper, I just don't want to get my hopes up because it has been so hard on us.  Has anyone had luck with their IUI's or have had polyps removed??  I wish you all the best and I know how hard it is and emotional when you go thru this.

You can just about ask anything and someone here can relate...I had polyps removed on April 4th in 06 and we were preggers on our second cycle of Clomid and Ovidril in August of 06...keep us posted and good luck to you! I am 14dpiui and CD 27. My cycle run 27 days. I don't have any symptons and am also on progesterone. I am not going to get AF until I stop progesterone. I did a  Clear blue easy digital test and it gave me a negative but when I tore the test I cleary saw another line but it was faint line so I am not sure how these tests work. I always accept the results of  hpt. Also I don't want to get low hcg level on 14dpiui which was the reason for my misscarriage last month. Good Luck for your test on Feb 3.

So this is day 4.  My doctor only has me testing for my progesteron on Tuesday.  Are you trying to get pregnant again??  You got pregnant fast with clomid and Ovidrel. I tested again with First Response this time and with in 5 minutes the second line was there its faintest but you don't need to take it outside to see it. its also not the first morning urine. Also with time its getting a little darker. you can see it from three feet. I am just worried because I am at 14dpiui and doesnot have enought Hcg in my blood. Also I am taking progesterone which I tought doesnot mess with hcg level may be I am wrong. I made an appointment for blood work tomorrow. Please pray from me.

I would say that's a great sign that you're seeing at least a faint line!  I had nothing 14dpiui.  It could just be that implantation occurred a bit later....I found through my whole ordeal with this pregnancy that there's definitely a few days give and take as to when implantation occurs/HCG numbers rise/babies heartbeat is detectable, etc.  Good luck!  Can't wait to check in tomorrow!  Do you have any symptoms?

I fell onto this website while searching for '7 day post iui symptoms'  So happy to find a site that is 'current' everything else I have read is from like 1-3 years ago.  After reading thru the week of postings, I think I had tears welling up at least 3 times!  I'm so happy for those of you that have been blessed with positive baby dust.  Hopefully the rest of us will too, very soon!

I am not up on all of the abbreviations, but will do my best.  I am 37, mommy to one son Dawson (4.5). My history - 3 miscarriages, 2 failed iui cycles using clomid and then conceived our son, on our own, only using acupuncture and then chiropractic to keep my pelvis aligned.  Now have been ttc for 3 years, had another miscarriage 2 years ago.  Started acupuncture and chiro again this fall, tried 3 more months, nothing.  I do ovulate on my own, clomid last time almost ruptured my ovary from overstim.  We had an unmedicated iui done last mon., the 19th.  I don't recall the #'s on my follies, but I know one was huge for day 10 and had major ovulatory pain on that side and massive amount of fert. cerv. fluid.  My LH+ was on 1/17 in the later pm; they 'couldn't' do the iui until 1:15 pm on 1/19.....little scared it should've been earlier in the day, but my dr was outof town and other dr wouldn't come in earlier.  Nice, huh? My husband & I hopefully helped by doing our own thing on 1/18 early, early am.  My cervix had to be clamped open for the iui, hope that doesn't mean it was too late.  I have been having very sore breasts, twinges and pulls & slighty bloated.  I was told years ago that my progesterone is low, don't know if that can change, but have been doing suppositories ev. other night, our decision, b/c dr. told me no need to until positive hpt.  I wanted to say WHAT?!

Any thoughts or information would be greatly appreciated.

I had my IUI done today and before the process I had a severe pain in my left ovary(that's where I had my dominant follicle 23.1 mm 36 hrs before IUI). My doctor says that the pain in the ovary is common during ovulation.
  Thank you all for all your prayers. My hospital is of 2hrs drive from my home. So after my IUI I came home tired and took rest till now. The doctor said that there is no need to take any precautions after IUI but not to climb steps and lift heavy weights. Again I need to go to the doctor tomorrow so that she will do a scan to confirm that the follicle has ruptured. I will keep praying for all of you.. particularly Hope2009. Please don't loose faith. God is with us. Also for  bfromthed and day33 for their results.

Yes, I had an iui done last Monday, the 19th, so I'm 7dpiui.  It's our 3rd IUI, but the other two were 6 years ago, unsuccessful.  (I took it easy the rest of the day after the iui, even though they say you don't have to.)

I am cd5 after iui.  I am still feeling very crampy and my stomach is very tight. Today is cd24 and 11dp iui.  I don't feel any symptoms other than being extremely emotional and irritable (but that could just be my monthly friend announcing her arrival).  I don't have any other symptoms and feel very discouraged as this was try #2 and our dr. is only allowing us to have 3 tries at iui before we need to look at other options.  
I am hoping for a miracle but preparing myself for the worst as well.  I am supposed to go for a test with my dr. on Wednesday and I am debating whether I should even bother.
HELP!!!  What do I do and is it possible that 11 dp iui with no symptoms could still lead to a positive outcome?

Just got my beta results today I am 20 days past iui.  The beta came back at 1400. So it is pretty much exactly 4 times what it was on Thursday which was 16 dpiui.  So I am in good shape and my progesterone level has gone up.  They are keeping me on the promethium though just to be safe.  So the RE was very happy with the numbers.  

Kisstin:  What were your numbers at 20 days past iui?  

So now I go back on Wednesday for another check then the ultrasound is next week.  I will keep everyone posted.

Mommy2 dawsy, I had my first iui on Monday 19th Jan at 2.30pn (though i am on gmt in uk). So same as you!!!! good luck!!!!!

I am now 6 days post iui and  on day 21 of cycle. Felt fine after iui, but was really ratty all weekend and started with backache yesterday (5days since iui) alongside 'aching womb' - no spotting.

aches are very similar to the ones i get before AF, but as earliest Af due is next friday (day 26) it seems early to have backache, usually they come max 3 days before Af. Am still very short tempered.

In uk you have iui and they leave you to it, no progesterone checking or anything despite ludicrous cost!!  

this thread has made my heart melt so i had to join in. My heart goes out there to all of you.

i am 41, single and have no children, i am using a donor as ex partner strung me along for YEARS and wasted all my 30's saying 'next year'. we split 2 years ago, but it has taken me till now to give up hope of meeting someone else and do this on my own. Please send me luck back xoxoxo

As for me, so good so far. I believe I'm about six weeks. The only symptoms I've had is mild headaches (daily), no period obviously, and swollen, tender bbs. I'm ready for some more good news. I'm praying for all of you. Infertility is something you just don't forget when you become pregnant. My first Dr. appt is Feb. 12th. We've only shared the news with our parents.

Don't rely on the symptoms they dont always work.
i have been pregnant a few times and each time i had different symptoms.
with the medications you are taking you might get false pregnancy symptoms, or you might not have symptoms at all and end up being pregnant!

Just got a call from doctor's office. My result is positive but level is 34 which is on the lower side for 15dpiui. They schedule me for another beta on Wednesday to see if it will double. Please Pray for me. Again I am in the same situation.I don't know if I can't take 3rd misscarriage in a year. My linning is good. I am on progesterone. So don't know the reason.

So Sorry I havent been on such a strange few weeks. Well I just started my 2nd IUI cycle I had my first US/BW yesterday and everything looked great so I am back on Follistim 150 so I am thinking If all gose well I will have my IUI next week wends or Fri I don't care which I just want a little one. I did speak with the nurse about my injectable progessteron and se said that It would be every other day for the first 12-14 weeks if I get preggers but I will start them right away after my IUI. She also said they do hurt and that I might go numb around the areas where I get the shots and that dosn't sound like to much fun but we have to do what we have to do right.

All who go BFP Congrats it much be so wonderful to know your going to be a mommy!

For all of us who have BFN Hang in there things will get tons better you are all in my thoughts.

I went to my doctor yesterday. She has done a scan to see whether the dominant follicle(which was 23.1) has ruptured or not. It is not seen in the scan. So it is finally ruptured. She asked me to come back on 16th Feb if there is no af and if af is seen I need to go on 2nd or 3rd day.
I have a little pain at my left ovary(where my dominant follicle was seen). I want to know if this is normal. I am a bit worried about this.

I am going back tomorrow for my third beta test.  I was suppose to go today but the weather here was really bad so I am going tomorrow.  I will post tomorrow to let you know my numbers.  So far so good and to be honest with all of you out there in the 2 ww I still have no pregger symptoms at all.  The RE said sometimes they don't start until your 6th week.  So I guess I will find out more as time goes on.

Hi, I am 11 days past IUI and using the progesterone suppositores...shortly after the IUI, I had steady mild cramping for a few days...once I started the progesterone (yuck, by the way...) I faintly had cramping now and then.  Its funny at this time, how tuned we are with our bodies.  Yesterday I had noticed scant spotting but nothing today.  My right side feels tight and different but thats about it...This is my 3rd IUI and the last time it will be covered by my insurance.  Last month I thought the 2 week wait was long but this month it seems like forever...maybe the holidays was a bit of a distraction.  anyway, please wish me luck....and I wish the same to all of you.

I am wondering, do you think its too early to do a HPT?  Last month I did one and it was negative but my blood test showed positive (chemical pregnancy)...it was only a 12 so the nurse told me not to get my hopes up.  Oh yes, someone mentioned that they only talk to the nurses and that the doctor never seems to be around.  Thats the case with me and its frustrating...she is never there and sometimes I feel lthat I am not getting the right answers....

wolfgang: 11 days can be too early but sometimes people get there postives at 10 days when the trigger shot is out of there system...if its bfn then that can be false cause it may be too early to detect it's like a double bladed sword...good luck

All: My progestrone came back at 16.2 Im not sure what the "good range" is but they left a messgae and said that was good and that I did ovulate. When I tried to call bk they are out to lunch (of course)...Normally after my iui's my progestrone is well over 40!!! I truly think I o'd 1-2 days before my iui because of the cramping that I has Saturday night and Sunday which they were closed!!! ARRRGGGHHH so frustrated...anyway 8dpiui cd24 and still symptomless Im getting to that disappointed, depressed, getting myself prepared for next months cycle even though I try and be positve its soooo freaking hard! Hey, i work in the "d"...we are neighbors...I am originally from Canada though.  Anyway, you are only 8 days past IUI with no symptoms...so, isnt it too soon?  dont get depressed...but at the same time I feel the same way...again I am 11 days past...and I feel like I am searching for symptoms.

Everyone is talking about progesterone levels...are you going back for blood tests after the IUI?  after mine, they just said to come back on FEB 3 for a blood test.  What does the progesterone level indicate?  I know you need enough to sustain a pregnancy...so confused.

Hello my RE always wants to see a 10 or better.  So those number you have are ok.  This last itme when it took for me mine was only a 10 so they put me on the progesterone.

I wonder why they dont check that at my dr's office...hmmm.  I thought that if you had the follicles and the trigger shot, then you automatically ovulate.  I thought that was a given.  How many mature follicles did you have again?

My level has gone upto 83 which is more than a double but again its on the lower side. the nurse told me that the rise is good and thats what they look for. She wanted to schedule me for an ultra sound but I told her that I want a third blood work on Monday to see how my level is by then. I am hoping for the best.  I will keep you all posted. I had 4 mature and a few littles the re's office just emailed me and gave me this (the chart they use)
Just to check for ovulation activity:
Over 5-ovulatory activity
Over 10 on a unmedicated cycle
Over 15 on a medicated cycle
In early preg:
1st trimester 20 at 4 wks and 40 at 14 wks
2nd trimester 40 at the beginning and 90 at the end
3rd trimester:
ranges between 49-423 but usually peaks at about 175
for hcg levels:
10 dpo indicates about 3wks 3 days hcg is about 25, 10dpo is 3wks 5 days and hcg is about 50, 14dpo indicates about 4wks and hcg is about 100, and 16dpo is about 4wks 2days and hcg is about 200
I told them I was sweating and they said its fine even at 16.2 thats good enough to hold a viable pregnancy. Im going to eat this is too much....

It is very frustrating but anything over 10 is good.  I feel you, I wish I could make all of the anxiety and wait go away.  this is easy said than done, try to focus on something elese for the next couple of days.  I'm in the same boat but this cycle, I did not go back to the doctor because of that confussion.  Last month on day 8 after iui , my levels were good 29.  I was so excited called my husband jumping up and down thinking that means the levels will increase and I'm preg.  They never informed of what that number meant.  I thought since it was a positive that means it was good and it will only increase.  well a couple of days later I took a test on day 16 and it was BFN.  I was so hurt and i said thios cycle I will not go and get the blood work done.  I will wait until Feb. 1 better yet I will wait untill Feb. 6 to test.  I said all that to say "I understand"

I only had one mature follicle at 18 and a 10 and 11.  My fsh was 11 when I started...do you think that has anything to do with the low follicle numbers?  I will have to pay for the next cycle if this one didnt work...and I know the longer I wait the worse my fsh will be (42 years old..)  Have to save the money as our winter months are slow over here.

Thanks for the prayers. I am taking one day at time. I have experienced my situation so many times I am hoping this time it will result in a healthy baby.  With prometrium sore boobs and cramping are common side effects. Its too ealry for AF to arrive so don't worry about that.

I went to for my BW on the 27th and my progesterone was 65.5, which the doctor said was great... everything looked good and she moved my preg. test for monday instead of wed.
I couldn't help myself and I took a HPT yesterday and the it was BFN....  : (

No the RE won't give me any hints.  He siad that sometimes those Beta numbers really aren't accurate and they aren't a good predictor.  But my ultrasound will be next week so I only have one more week before I find out.

I am supposed to test on FEb 3.  I am tempted to do an HPT but i am afraid to jinx it.  I have mild...extremely mild cramping and am afraid it might be my af...I am on prog. and they say that you wont get your period on it.  Last month i was on it and got my af...so who knows...

to All: I keep inquiring about FSH levels on the rest of you..do you think that has anything to do with the number of follicles you produce?  I was on 150 of the gonal f shots for 6 days and had one mature follicle at 18,, my estradiol was adequate so they gave me the trigger.

On my first try they said I ovulated to quickly so on my subsequent times, they put me on the Lupron shot twice a day until my hcg trigger.

To all:  what do you think about the couple who had 8 babies?  Glad they are doing well, but, man, can u imagine?  eight???

My number jumped from 34 to 83 in 48 hours which is more than a double. The nurse was not concerned if its on  the lower side .They wanted the number to double because no one can say for sure if I ovulated the same day of IUI or the next day. I have another Beta schedule for Monday. 5th week is critical for me because with my previous misscarriages my level started declining in the 5th week.

All: This is my 5th IUI and I got BFP 3 out of 5 times but 2 resulted in early misscarriages. So I would suggest to keep faith, IUI does work. All my cycles I took 100mg clomid and ovulated on my own.

Well I went in for a us/bw today and everything looked great. my estradiol jumped from a 34 on Monday to a 111 today which my dr said was great. They found 5 follis on my right and 3 on the left with a few more little ones in each. I go back sat for more us/bw and then they said next week should be the week for my iui can't wait!

Hope your numbers sound great now I hope your 5th week gose smooth.

Wow lots of posts in the past few days, hard to keep track of everyone when I can only get on every couple days, but it's nice to see the updates, especially the positive ones!

I'm a little lost on some of the abbreviations too......like 'Enough' asked about RE, is it something endocronologist?  What about BFN, BFP &  AF - obviously that one I know what it means, but what do the letters stand for?  Sorry!

Moni81 - you asked me a few days ago about my son Dawson, he was delivered one month early via C-section.  When I become pregnant, I have to do injections of Heparin, 3 times a day, because of a blood clotting disorder.......it hurts, I get very bruised sides of my belly, but boy oh boy, he's so worth every poke!!  They just grow up waaaay too fast!

I am 10dpiui cd24, my dr. didn't test my progesterone, or any of the things I've read about with some of you all.  I have very sore bbs and they have gotten larger in the past two days..........hoping that all continues and doesn't drop off, like some months right b4 af arrives.  Still having twinges & pulls in my lower abdomen area.

Today would have been our only son's 2nd birthday. Not that he is not thought of on a daily basis its just today you remember every moment. The pain, the tears, being scared, and finally the urgency of his birth at only 24 weeks, God did bless us to be parents for 26 beautiful days to a son that fought so hard to be here and tried so long to breathe on his own. DH and I will probably try and stay busy today just to help time pass and I also have a 6 hour anatomy class that I have to try and stay focused on. I am sorry to hear you story too.  My thoughts are with you...dont lose hope about the lack of symptom...every pregnancy is different.  Looks like our time frames are very similar.

Well, I am on cd25 and am 12dpiui and I broke down and bought a pregnancy test last night.  In less than two minutes it showed positive.  This morning i rechecked with my first morning urine and same thing...positive.  I am happy but I will feel better once I have the blood test on Tuesday.  I had my first ovidrel on the 15th, my iui on the 17th and my second ovidrel (250 units) on the 22. I would think that its out of my system by now, but thats why i am a little reserved in my excitement.  I may call the doctors office today to see if I can have my blood test on saturday....wish me luck.

To  Mommytodawsy:  thanks for asking those questions as I didnt know exacly what they stood for too.
To Hope:  And thanks for the answers...I though AF meant "a friend"  duh....aunt flo is much better.

My RE never made me do a progesterone check but advised me to be on it. They did initials check for me before and told me that my levels are OK but as a precaution this time they put me on Progesterone and Asprin. They never gave me a reason for my misscarriages as 1 of 4 pregnancies result in misscarriages. I am scared but hopefull. Like I told you before my worry begins when I see BFP. Hope this one stays.
