Sorry I hadn't checked in a while. I actually get on and read the posts everyday so I want to say a BIG congrats to all the BFP's. To all of us still trying it's coming for us I just know it so keep the faith.

As for me my last cyle of 50mg clomid was a failure I had three follies that were at about 9 then when i went back to the RE a few days later I was only at 10 so the nurse pretty much told me I was not going to ovulate so we would have to prepare for the next cycle. I was crushed. So the next step is we will be doing 100 mg of clomid and follistim shots twice a day i believe i order 600 iui of the follistim not quite sure what that exact dose is. I am praying it works for us this time because our piggy bank is slowly being drained of all it's funds. :)
I feel that this time should work because my first cyle i did 5 days of follistim one shot a day and then i believe i took femara for 5 days and that cycle i did produce one good follie but unfortunately because both tubes were blocked (which i found out after laparascopic surgery in Dec) i didn't get my BFP. So hopefully now that both tubes are blocked all will go well for me and DH.

I'm so sorry for the bad news. Is the doctor sure that there's a fertilization problem? how many IUI's have you had so far?  How many follicles did you have this month?  What were you on to stimulate them?  I'm just thinking if there's another way other than IVF.  It will happen, believe me. Maybe not right this moment, but it will. It took me two years and every month I cried my eyes out when I got the BFN. I had both my sister in laws have children before me (one on her 5th kid and not even married!!) and it was hard. Especially considering that the other sister in law was going to the same fertility center and got pregnant one month after she started going there (I was there 4 months longer than her and had to go through ovarian drilling and a few other prodcedures before starting on anything).  That's besides the point, but I know what you're feeling. We all do. And if you ever need anyone to talk to we're hear. just let it out. scream to the top of your longs. let god hear you.  I waited 8 months in between my IUI's and it worked this time.  Dont give up hope.  Please don't.  I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted.

It has been a while since I last posted.  All is still going well here.  I have my first ob appt tomorrow.  I am officially 8 weeks along and my RE took me off the progesterone and released me to my ob.  So far so good over here.  I have the worst all day sickness and I have bad heart burn and sleepy all the time.  But I can't complain.

To all out there with BFP's congratulations.  To all that are in the 2ww.   Stay strong and positive!  And to all who are starting a new cycle I am thinking of you always.  Keep the faith and it will happen for all of you.

Okay I am on cd 20 but on cd 14 and cd 15 I had spotting... on cd 16 and 17 I had a flow.... cd 18, 19, and 20 I have spotting...went to re;s office today for bw/u/s the 30mm cyst that was left from last cycle is gone and they want me to start 112.5 Gonal f and 75 Menopur tonite for 5 days then back on Tuesday for more bw and u/s so is this cd 4??? I am so confused with this one...I thought that they would wait til next cycle and just wanted to see if the cyst had dissolved??? We are going to try 1 or 2 more cycles of iui doing one back to back but should I go ahead with monitoring this cycle or just hold off til next month... LET ME KNOW BEFORE 7PM tonite because I am instructed to take the meds between 7p and 9pm....???

Dimps1978: Glad to hear you are still doing good.  I am lucky enough to be one of those people that never got morning sickness.  This baby is a mover though.  Between 6 and 7 pm I think she runs a marathon in there.  I must feel at least 50 movements... insane.  When I was pregnant with my other daughter, she never moved this much.  I can feel it and see it from outside now and its awesome.

Wow, thats a tough one...but I agree with Kisstin to trust your RE...thats confusing about being cd 4...The ultrasound is probably the indicator that you dont have any follicles growing yet.  I mean, what did they say???  good luck..I say go for it.  what does the Menopur do?  do you have to pay for your drugs or does your insurance company cover it?

Dimps...sorry about the morning sickness.  I didnt have any with my first son...AT ALL...hardly any this time (6 weeks preg) but I have such a bad cold and cough that the drainage from my throat and nose is so intense it is causing me to gag and throw up.  The last couple of days have been awful....I couldnt imagine a trimester of it.  I heard that you can buy these nausea pops at baby's r us that is all natural.  I heard they work really well.  Are you working right now?

I would suggest to wait till  next cycle. This cycle looks confusing. You don't want confusion or stress while montoring your cycle.

Dimps: I am glad you are doing great. My hcg is in 30's now. Hopefully next week I will get back to normal.I will then  have consultation with my RE for future plans. I am bleeding for the last 10 days but its now coming to an end.

Ok I took the meds...they said that during the monitoring if things are not going as scheduled and depending on the bw/us then they will not do iui anyway I can do the Ovidril and bd like I did when we got preggo the first time so thats making me feel a little better. He said he knows that things are off track but this will be iui #6 who who knows what the magic trick is so the will be watching me closer this cycle than normal. I will keep you guys posted on whats what. Gonal F helps to produce the follies and Menopur is suppose to help the quality if I am correct! :)

Babybluey20- Thanks for the kind words it really helped! I will start from the very top. I have been ttc for abour 4.5 years I finally went to a re and have been with him for about a year we found out I have a little pcos but other than that my dh and I are pretty much all good so we have unexplained problums. This was our 2nd IuI our first one was in November both were really great numbers for everything (except the first with my progestron was a 7 thats why I was on the injectables this cycle and then it went up to a 64). The fertilization problem is a guess on his part he said that and IVF would give him an idea of what is going on wheather it be im just not releasing any eggs (during each cycle my eggs were all the good sizes and each cycle I have had about 16 eggs that could have take) or maybe my eggs arent good, or that my dh little me and my eggs do mesh well together but he really dosnt know. Both IUIs I was on 150 of Follistim and then and HCG trigger (I was told that in very rare cases the HCG trigger dosnt affect some people then there is nothing they can do). I really dont know what to do my dr said that he will not do another IUI at all I trust him alot I seen and read his record so I really have faith in him and all that. I can tell you yesterday was the first day I actually hated god for a time it was hard because some lady can go and have 14 kids and I just want 1 but now im calmer. DH and I are trying to think about adoption a little more because I only have a 50-50 shot with ivf also we could adopt and then do and ivf I just dont know.

Shreck- Welcome to the thread!  Each person is different, so it is hard to say.  Where you on any meds?  If so, some of the medicines can make you feel nauseaus, bloated, etc... which are the same as pregnancy symptoms.  Good luck!

Hope- I hope you can get on with the next cycle soon.   I am so sorry you had to go through a m/c.  I think that is the worst thing to experience when you have been trying so long to get preggo.  You finally get pregnant, and then lose the baby.  I just feel very bad for you.

Dimps and Kisstin- Keep us posted on your progress.  We all hope we can get to your point soon!

bfromthed- I am also doing back to back IUI this cycle.  But I keep thinking of canceling.  I just feel as though I will be throwing out money.  I am sure that your RE knows what they are doing.  So stay positive, and grow some good follies!  (I know it is easier said than done... since I am saying it but can't seem to do it.)

All- There has been a lot going on this week with the posting.  
I go to the RE tomorrow for U/S.  I am truly thinking of not having IUI's this month.  Just BD'ing.  The IUI's would be scheduled for Monday and Tuesday- or Tuesday and Wednesday.  We will find out tomorrow.  I need help.  If this cycle doesn't work, then we are taking a break.  Just not sure if we should start the break early.  I have already taken the clomid, and the follistim (albeit in the wrong spot).  So part of me says I have already spent some money... might as well finish out the cycle.  But another part of me says, why spend more money if it isn't going to work.

Since you have already spent some money with this cycle, I suggest that you go on with this cycle. There is no point in thinking that this cycle would not work. Try to stay positive. And if it doesn't work this time, then you can take a break later. Good luck and God bless. Baby dust to you.

I guess I am being pessimistic.  Last month Dh's numbers were great compared to normal, and I had 5 follies.  It didn't work... nor did the other 4 IUI's.  Who is to say that this one will work.
I go to the RE tomorrow for the U/S to see how many follies I have made.  I am just having a tough time staying positive.  I guess it seems better to accept it not working, then getting my hopes up- just to be crushed again.

And of course, there are only 3 of us on my team at work... and I am the only one that isn't pregnant.  It just hurts, and brings me down.  I just want to cry when I think about it.

I know how you feel. I'm starting my 5th cycle of IUI and I am losing hope. My problem so far is dh sperm count is incredibly low so the odds are against us. I really want it to work because ivf is so expensive and I don't know if I could handle it if it failed. All of my friends have 2, 3, and even 4 children and they are calling it quits and I can't even get one. I get very sad when I am around them and I have begun to isolate myself from them making up any excuse to miss there visits. We really need to keep our faith up. We will be blessed with a child someday.

Don't be so discouraged. Give it one more try. Take it easy and once the IUIs are done don't even think about the outcome. You are in the middle of the treatment and your body is responding well to the treatment. Look at me after my 2nd misscarriage in december I went for an IUI in January got pregnant and misscarried again this month but I am ready to start the treatment again in March. I know its hard on our bodies and minds but if you need something badly you have to work hard and give your 100%. Don't give up. Please go a head with this cycle. If you don't want back to back IUIs go for only one. I only had one IUI each time and got pregnant three times. Good Luck.

I started Follistim today. DH gave the shot. I am doing 75IU once a day for 6 days. This is my first cycle on Follistim so hopefully we'll get lucky and get a BFP.

we've beentrying for almost a year.    my period is about 1and a half to 2 months on the average so it's harder for us to conceive.   So I asked for 2 IUI's back to back and the doc strongly does not recommend it, so after my 2nd IUI, I made sure my husb & I made love the next morn.  He has healthy sperms, but I wanted to cover all tracks b/c I don't want to go for my 3rd IUI if I can help it.   So I used conception gel (preseed is a gd one), conception cups (these are expensive so if you wish, you can use Instead Cups also  - it does the same thing, except you do n't get all the other extras in it).

I wasn't sure if I couldn't conceive in the past was due to my mucus so I got the conception gel to lubricate myself.   I wasn't sure if the sperms juswt aren't swimming up there b/c I always puthim under a lotof pressure to perform whenI ovulate, so after he ejaculated in me, I inserted the conception cup.  This cup is great for those w/ hostile mucus enviroment or if the man has low sperm count  and/or low motility.  this cup holds all the sperms in  & nothing leaks out & you wear it for about 6hours!

after my last IUI, I tried everything to cover all the tracks b/c my doc strongly does not recommend me getting 2IUI's back to back, and this finally worked after my 2nd IUI !   also, I never toolprogesterone before, so my doc suggested I do it this time and so I did - it helps your lining thicken. my doc says my lining is already thick but b/c I never used it in the past, it wouldn't hurt to start b/c that's the protocol for her patients.

so to all of you TTC, try this method & keep up the faith & baby dust to you!!!

sorry Shreck, I was so concentrating on describing how my 2nd IUI may have worked, that I forgot to answer your question re: how many days after IUI does pregnancy signs show.    for me I think it was the 5th day after my 2nd IUI.    on the 5th day, late at ngt, I felt dizzy faint all of a sudden.  I saw stars  & couldn't sit up straight.  I felt nauseous but couldn't regurgitate.  I hurried & layed dwn on my bed & the feelings went away after about 20mins.  I was cold/shivering  & was very scared.  I thought I was haviing side effects to the clomid and progesterone b/c this is the 1st time that I ever took fertility drugs.  so I think perhaps this dizzy faint episode was implantation b/c 2 weeks later, I went to the doc for a blood test & she told me I'mfinally pregnant!

baby dust to you all!   you all sound like you'll make one of the best momsin the world!  your baby(ies) (future baby-ies) are very very lucky to have you!

It has been a few days since I last posted.  So here is my update.
I went to the RE on Saturday for U/S.  I have 3 follies- one dominant one.
She didn't want me to take the HCG shot, because she wanted to see if I would ovulate on my own by this morning.  I went in again this morning for U/S and IUI #1.  I hadn't ovulated yet, but we did the IUI anyway.  My DH's count was really low because it had gotten too cold.  So we only had about 8 mil prewash (18 million washed), and they were slow movers.  After the IUI, she gave me the trigger shot.  I go back Wednesday for IUI #2, and will wrap Dh's little swimmers in a wash cloth so they don't get cold again.
This is our last cycle before we take a break, so I am going to do my best to stay positive, and relaxed.

I had my first IUI last month and didn't work. I will have my 2nd iui hoping next week. I was disappointed from the first, so i am hoping the 2nd one works. I will have break after this. Probably save some money to have ivf.

I got BFN last week..... i ws heart broken.... when i started with 1st iui i thought i will make in 1st one only bt didnt happen..... thn i had my hopes really high abt 2nd one (though after iui i had a feeling that its nt gonna work this time).... again heart broken
since i am working as an accountant till april 15th its very stressful at work so i m planning to take a break for 2 months... will plan next iui in may
I am also planning to change my RE as they didnt accept my insurance... bt since we thought it wud be successful in 1st/2nd attempt we paid full cost....
now since my insurance covers diagnostics but not treatment... i am planning to go to other RE who take my insurance ,
has anyone changes RE inbetween ???
also is someone has same insurance coverage (diagnostic of infertility) ??
do they pay for all U/S ?? or that is part of treatment??

Welcome! I would suggest that you should test at least at home. Some time the blood test can detect low progesterone which sould be higher at the earlier pregnancy. Good Luck.

Ok so I went and bought the digital ovu test and took it and there was a o in there instead of smile face so when i ejected it there was a very faint blue line so I took the other two line opk and there was a very faint line so whats up with that I'm not sure sometime between now and saturday I'm going for iui and im so anxious I want to go now do u think maybe it will be darker tomorrow or what please fill me in if anybody knows first iui thank u

For ovulation the two line should almost be the same or the ovulation line (to the right of the window ) should be a little darker. On the instruction it tells you which line is the ovulation line. If you are using digital then you should wait till it show the smily face. I used the digital and it gave me the correct ovulation dates. Are you going for an ultra sound. The doctor can predict from the ultra sound when can you ovulate or can give your the hcg shot to make you ovulate.

I live three and a half hours away and they have not said anything about ultrasound I'm not even doing  fertility drugs my husband had a vesectomy (vasectomy) and we want another so they said I shouldn't have any problems so i'm hoping it goes smooth I just talked to the Dr and she thinks it should be thursday when I have my iui and she told me I shoudnt do different opk.

Quick Question, when the RE is able to tell us we have follicles, are they able to tell if there are eggs in them (or do we assume?) and if he can tell us, can he tell how many eggs per follicle? It just amazes me that after all the IUIs performed on us that so many can result in a BFN... Does bloodwork confirm their is an egg? Just trying to figure out why it doesn't happen for so many people???? Its 11dpIUI so you can imagine I am coo-coo and my brain is consumed with crazy thoughts.... haha

I posted a while back and read your posts everytime I have a chance to get on.  You are all a remarkable group of ladies that only deserve happiness.  Congrats on all the BFP's!  Happy and healthy 9 months!!  To all the BFN - hang in there, our time will come.  A quick update on me:  I had 5 failed IUI's and didn't want to waste anymore money with IUI's.  I am in the middle of my first IVF attempt.  I did 3 weeks of birth control and now I am on Lupron, Gonal-F, and Menopur.  I have to have 3 injections/day.  My tentative egg retrieval is on March 7th.  I am nervous but very excited and optimistic! With God's grace, we hope to get pregnant on our first attempt, because I don't think we can afford another!  Best of luck to everyone that is about to test!  I will update once I find out the results.

I'm so glad i finally found a forum that is current date..  I've been surfing the web for answers...  it is the most outstanding/mind blowing 2ww....  I'm on my 3rd IUI, I'm 8dpiui, I imediatly had sore breast the day after my 3rd iui, this never has happened, i also felt faint and dizzy on 3dpiui & 5dpiui, also super bad indijestion...  are these signs of possible pregnancy?  I've never had any of these on prior 2 iui's, please help!

I have been married for 4 yrs and ttc for past 3 yrs finally this month we decided to go 4 IUI. So before dis we have tried naturally but with no success. I never knew getting pregnant would b so painful and tough esp when all my friends who got married at the same time or after my marriage are having kids so easily. Dont know y god chose me only :( but ne ways this was destined.
Earlier whenever i have tested @ home AF came dat day only or the next day. So dats y I m apprehensive. Could AF be delayed becoz i was on dauphaston from the day of IUI till next 10 days.
I am sorry for letting myself on u but i just needed somebody 2 talk 2. Nobody actually understands y i want 2 remain alone alltime and cannt share dis with ne of my friends , i some how feel complex of some sort

Stay Positive. My doctor has told me that some time you have to try at least 3 IUIs to get pregnant. So don't feel dissapointed if it does not happen on the first try. Let your body get use to the treatment. dauphaston is active progesterone and yes progesterone delay your period from coming. Usuallly when you do a blood test for pregnancy and it results in negative the doctor advise you to stop progesterone so you can get period. Just stay hopefull it will happen for you.

This is a great place where you can get great support from amazing people.

Sometime its a good sign to have a cramping around that time. It might be implantion cramping. Stay hopefull and don't stress yourself.

I am doing fine. Still waiting for my bhcg level to go down to zero. I have another blood test this friday hopefully its zero by then and then will wait for the next cycle to start to continue my treatment again. I don't feel like doing another consultation with my RE. He tells me the same things again and again. I am just going for two more IUIs and then will go for IVF.

It has been a long while since I have been on.  Congrats to all the BFP... and for those of you still in the process hang in there and be positive.  I am praying for all of you.
After all of our work and trying we are finally at an end point.  I have taken the last couple months to try to just absorb the fact that I can't get pregnant.  It will take time but we are looking into adoption now and hopefully that will pan out for us.
I have 2 vials of 900IU of Ovidrel to sell if anyone needs it.  I know this process gets costly for all of us and I am willing to sell at a discounted price to anyone who needs it and also doesn't have insurance for their injections.  Send me a note or message and I will get back to you.  I will send them with the cooler blocks to make sure they stay cold.

No It wont I have two children and My cycles are only three days.People say were the lucky ones. I'm trying to conceive again and my Dr doesn't see a problem but if you have a short luteal phase then that's were you would have a problem because that would be considered luteal phase defect.

Had 2nd IUI on Wednesday... DH's counts after washing were 32 million, and 65% motility.  RE said it looked like I had already ovulated, so hopefully we hit the right time this month.  I had IUI on Monday, and hadn't ovulated yet... then Wednesday had another one, and it looked like I had recently ovulated.  Trying not to get my hopes up.

I did have a dream last night that woke me up.  I dreamed that I was 9 months pregnant and my water broke.  It woke me up, and I realized I needed to use the restroom.  Hopefully it's a sign.

it feels completely different to last time, this time no cramping or pain. i did have some bloating the same day of the iui, but now bloating is gone.
this time i started progesterone tablets 2dpiui.

when are you taking the test. I was told to take it after the first morning pee.  Also know that everyone;s body is different and you may ov on day 14, 15  or 16. it all depends on ho long af last and the days of cycle. Sometimes the test can be wrong so always chek you cervial mucus.

Another thing, Last week I was watching TLC channel and I saw this couple who has 18 kids ( that's right 18). I was so mad that all of us here asking just one kid but here we are staying together and struggling sometimes. Sorry about this I was probably frustrated but wont give up...

Well wish me luck I just got back from my  First IUI. Wow I was so nervous it was going to hurt. But it Didn't (Yea) I was tender how ever from the ovaries being super ovulated. I did My trigger shot Sat.The 28th at 10pm. So I hope all of us here get big fat positives..

I have never posted on this site before but was curiosu to get some people's opinion on my situation. I had my second IUI on 2/18 & 2/19 (took trigger shot of Ovidrel on 2/17). I know ovidrel can give a false positive for HPT - I took a test on 2/22 to see if it was postive from the trigger and it was.  I took another on on 2/27 and it was negative so I assumed the HCG from the trigger was gone.  I took a third test this morning (13 days after the trigger) and it was positive.  Problem is, the test I took on Friday, 2/27 was store brand and today's was clearblue so i am wondering if the test on 2/27 was wrong and it is stil just the HCG from the tigger.  Any thoughts/opinions?

Sounds like you are preggers.  Congrats.  The trigger should be out of your system 10 days after you take it.

Rcrose- they say you shouldn't test until u miss your period which is 14 days. everyone is different and can hold the hcg differently in there bodies. I know women that hold it for 10days past iui. And some 9 days. Call you RE for blood work it will defiantly confirm it.

ehl77_ yea i have a cycle buddie can i ask if you were on injectables +iui. I took Goanl-F for 7 days trigger shot on Sat at 10pm. iui this morning . DH had 14 million friends and 40% motility. So I'm hoping for a BFP .

You would not belive it they now think I already ovulated they told me to call with a light line on test and I did and they said it needed to be darker but now I talked to the nurse today and she says oh you proably already did when you called the other day so now I have to keep checking every day and go in if nothing on saturday for blood work to see if I did and how good it was I was so bumed I might have missed this time because of them and I'll have to wait until after next period.

Hi,  the only symptom that I got that was different this time than my first 2 iuis is a lot of cramping.  I dont usually get cramps when I get my period anymore as I did when i was a teenager.  I thought the cramping might have been from the progesterone but now I know differently.  I did not get sore boobs or nauseated or implantation bleeding.  Just cramping and it got more frequent as I went along.  Then before I did my home pregnancy test I noticed that I got up in the middle of the night to pee which i dont normally do.  I remember that I had to pee more frequently during my first pregnancy.

I am now 8 weeks pregnant and got my second ultrasound today at the RE's office.  SAw the little arm buds and leg buds and things are looking good.  I got slight bleeding on two occasions and she told me to rest for 48 hours whenever I see a little blood and not to have intercourse until my first trimester is done.  Other than that she released me to my regular OBGYN.

Thank you for your input/thoughts.  I have taken a pregnancy test for the two days after the positive one and all three have been positive.  Today is 15 days after the trigger and 13/14 dpiui (had two done). I took the trigger on a Tuesday but my blood tests showed that my body was getting ready to ovulate on its own so I figure it is also 13/14 days post ovulation. I have my beta blood test tomorrow.  I am trying to not get my hopes up too much but it is hard when you get three positives in a row. Thank you again!

1dpiui >>>  All day I was so sensitive  ( sore) in my lower abdomen BB's are sore as hell. I took the DT HPT just to see if the hcg was gone almost the line was very faint. I feel so extremely bloated. When does that go away. lol to tired  and sore to BD.  Temp was 98.2

2dpiui >>> BBS are still sore, still tender in the ovary section lol. It is defiantly way better than the last couple of days.. Still bloated when does that go away. =(  
Temp was 98.6 today tomorrow i start endometrin for the next 14 days. I'll post tomorrow 3dpiui

Hope you guys don't mine me joining, love to read TTC post, anyways I had my IUI on Saturday @ 9:30am, I had cramps from Friday to Sunday, and ever since then I have this pinching feeling on my left ovaries goes on and off all day for a few seconds just weird I am starting to think I am getting a cyst on that side, not sure. Today is 4dpo and this 2ww is a killer.

hi im cristine im new to this site but had 4 iui already, my last iui was a double one last march 3 and 4 i had 3 mature follies with 5 days of clomid and 3 shots of gonal f and now i have to wait until march 22 and the wait is killing me.. i dont wan't another failed iui its very stressful and also the doctor prescribed me 300 mg of utrogestan for 12 days, and still told me to take metformin, does anyone of you guys were prescribed like these meds, and should i still take my folic acid..

Well we tried naturally after two failed IUI.  Sorry to say that AF is here after three days late.  I was sad but we will try again. I was real sad yeasterday after testing but I'm ok.  It is sad to say that I have gootten use to BFN.  

I will pray that it happens for us this cycle natrually. Hubby is fine and so am I.  No tubes no other issue  i just don't know why I have not got preggo.  My two best-friends are preg. going on 4 months.  One on clomind and the other IVF.  VERY SAD BUT happy for them.  

I'm going to be stong.  It has to happen but I need to not stress myself out.  I will post back on April.  Thanks for all the prayers.

Nina: Atleast you can zip, I am wearing long tops just trying to be comfortable, bec I sit at a desk all day and sitting is very uncomfortable when u are bloated.

I triggered Thursday night, didnt feel anything, Friday started feeling crampy on both side towards my back, sat had iui lot and lots of cramping all day had to lay down most of the time when i walk i have to bend and walk how painful it was, Sunday the pain was there but not as bad. Sun to yesterday i had this annoying pain on my left ovary all day long on and off, and I was also bloated and and my boobs was killing me since before iui I guess the gonal f and then the trigger made it worst, when i take off my bra to shower forget it I feel like putting them back on right away.

So as of today 5dpo a little bloated, boobies are in pain but feel it more when i take my bra off, I have this tight feelings on both ovaries thats about it.

Hello ladies! Just checking in on you. We will be trying naturally til after April. I have to have surgery on my foot (chipped bone) in my right foot on April 17th (one day b4 my bday!) it causes lots of pain so I have to get it done. Good news is that my re said that month we will do bk to bk iui's since I will have plenty of time to rest (I will be off 6 weeks) I pray for you ladies everyday and I hope you are still doing the same for us. I am happy though I am 5'5 and always weigh 105lb now I am 113lb I am happy because for my height i am underweight no matter how much i eat I would not gain, so I am glad this is doing the trick.

Hi all, I have just joined this site & have been reading everyone's potst, it's great to see all the support here. I have 2 children from a previous marriage & dh & I are trying to have a baby now. We went through our first IUI on the 23rd of Feb. I was on clomid & ovidrel this first time. I only had 1 mature follicle though. So, I'm waiting for next week to take pg test. I've been really tired & pretty sore up top, I'm trying to keep hope up, but don't want to be too disappointed. I also realize that it's all PMS symtoms too.   I'M 6DPIUI.  and 8DPO well past trigger shot.  My chest is on fire..( SERIOUSLY) to wear a bear shirt not so good. I have cramping going on. stomach still bloated. well its better than last week. I had some nausea last night and today lower abdomen is tender . I think its because my body is whacked  out with hormonal issues (lol). seriously I just ache. I took an hpt to see if the trigger shot has left my system and it has I tested Wed and Friday it took 6 days to leave not 10. My trigger was 250ug which is 6500 iu so for every thousand is one day to leave your system. . So when i go and test next week I hope to see the real thing.. lol

Washed sperm is good for 24 to 36 hrs after having an IUI. That's what my RE said. I hope this helps

Magoo: I always use the smiley face opk I can never understand the other opks anyways
here is how it works for me, when they see my follies growing from 16mm and up they ask me to start using opk and they said to do everynight between 4pm and 8pm, if i get a smiley face I have to go in next morning for iui, i get there for 7:30am and they do the iui around 9am, around that time I would feel ovulation I ask my RE if I missed O e said no that my body is preparing to O and I should later in the day, he said wash sperm can live up to 24hrs, this was when I did the clomid I use to O around day 13 or 14, but now the injectables and working fast so they usually make me do a trigger shot adround day 10 or 11 depending on my follies. Hope that help you and good luck.

Thank you so much but I talked to my Dr and he thinks I o on fri sat and he wanted me to go in but I was at work and its about a three hour drive So I dont think this was the time. I go in tomorrow for my prog test to find out if I did o on tue or fri so I'm kind of bumed. I'm really not feeling to much of anything a little indgestion and constipated and some sharp pains in my lower right side and I feel pretty bloated still and it was tues that I had my iui so I will let you all know more soon I will know my results on tuesday so we will see when o really came. Well today I am CD 31 (not sure how many dpo since I didn't keep track this month)  The last 2 months I have had a 29 day cycle.  On Saturday I started getting a tingling sensation in my right nipple.  Lastnight my bbs started to KILL me - today I keep getting sharp pains in them and have been so hot the last couple of days - I can't even sleep at night cause I am sweating - LOL - - anyone feel like this and get a BFP??

I am 7DPIUI and 10DP Trigger shot. My BBS are still very sore. Abdomen still feels somewhat bloated .I have felt nauseated all day. I keep chewing tums thinking it will take the quesy feeling away. But not.. I think the Gonal-f and the ovadrel trigger shot has played yucky games with my system. My temp this mornin was 98.9 I will test this weekend. I really hope its my BFP.

I am also at day 7dpiui and I am only feeling quizzy just a little bit nothing I cant handle I didn't have the trigger shot or anything the dr told me to test in two weeks form the day I had iui so I'm hangin in there its hard though not knowing and all the things going on are proably just in my head since I think I had iui to early when you feel the tingles and pinches from o does that mean the egg was just releasted or the start cause there might be a chance I stopped having those feelings thursday evening and I had iui on tuesday so maybe theres a chance that some were alive and hangin out waiting right if they live for up to three days. I dont know not getting my hopes up on this round.

this is my first entry... and i think i just read the entire thing tonight! i just wish i would have found this about two weeks ago. this is my first IUI. i used clomid & ovidrel & progesterone suppositories for the last 12 or 13 nights. i have had everything i have read i think...moody, cravings, pinching felling like ovarian cyst, sore bbs, but mostly cramping and bloating. it looks like from what i have seen so far there is just no way to tell until tomorrow. either way i am just ready to know so that i can stop obsessing over it!!

i started spotting yesterday, called the doctor and he told me to have beta test today.  iam 14dpiui and i did a hpt i got a BFN and blood test results also BFN. so i had no luck this time too.
I am stressing alot to a stage that i am too depressed and i feel so sick i havent eaten all day.
i spoke to my doctor after the results came back and i think i might me moving on to IVF.

Nina & ehl77: I have a 16days LP so I should expect AF on 3/16 my RE told me to go in for blood on Friday, but I have no symptoms and I have a feeling the witch will show her ugly face, I have no plans on going for blood nor test I will just wait and AF will show she never late. Just my boobies are sore and hurts but thats from the medication in my body. I am just sad you guys seem to have whole lot of symptoms I wish you all a big fat BFP! I am 10dpo/12dptrigger.

Don't feel to bad I think alot of my symptoms are coming from all those meds getting out of my system and on top of all that I'm on Endometrin suppositories ( progesterone). Last time they didn't make feel queasy but with all that I have been on I just feel so yucky and nauseated. Last night my DH went to wendys for a burger and he came open the bag I had to run past the living room to the garage as i almost threw up three time in the house from the smell of the onions or what ever was on the burger. lol Not sure whats going on but I made him open the front door to air the room back before I went in. Nina: I wish you a big fat BFP on sat, I am also on the progesterone and I used it in the night I did get dizzy a few times and when I read the bottle it says that theis medication will make you dizzy, so when does the trigger leaves the system I use 250mg/0.5 ?

That leaves your system in5- 6 days It is 6500 iu so for every thousand mg it takes one day to clear out. Yea I have had some dizzyness the past couple of days but not much.. I took the shot on 2/28 and 5 1/2 days later it was gone . I went to the dallor store and bought the the 1.00 test and tested every other day to see when it left my system and by Fri it was all gone.  I too had the same amount for injection 250ug which is 6500 iu.

Hope this helps... I take the endometrin in the morning and at night...

Im not sure cause mine are the same way. I think it was the trigger shot tells us we are pregnant and then takes it back lol. I feel like i have been beaten up in the chest area..  I know we are all not wanting the BFN . But we have to give into the whole POAS syndrome that we have to get through. lol

Well I am cd 32 (not sure how many days past ovulation -- I wanna say 17dpo) But this month I didn't test for ovulation or keep track of temps.  So I am patiently waiting for AF to arrive - didn't take a Preg test yet as I don't want to be disappointed to see a BFN.  I am feeling crampy today and my bbs have been hurting since Saturday.  I so hope this is my BFP month - my husband and I have been trying for 3 1/2 years and 2 miscarriages so this would be the best -- we would be on cloud 9.

I am new to this post and get a lot of support reading these threads. I am in the 2ww as well and I am 6dpiui. This is my 4th iui cycle, but first on inject. meds. I was on Follistim 150 iu for 7 days and then the ovidrel shot on cycle day 10. IUIs were back to back on March 3rd and 4th. Since then, I have been extremely crampy. I had 2 large follies (22 mm and 20mm). DH sperm count day 1 was 60 million with 80% mot. and day 2 it was 48 million with 76% mot. All good - but all four iuis were "good" conditions:(

Last IUI cylce in December '08 I got a BFP!!!! However, I miscarried at 5 weeks and 5 days with what we believe to be low progesterone. My level on the day we got the BFP was only at a 5 - they want it much higher - like maybe at a 30??!! Needless to say, at the time I did not know this so I just kept shoving those suckers up there thinking I'd fix the problem. One thing I did wrong was self diagnose myself that time. I assumed I was not pregnant, therefore did not show up for my BETA test (didn't want to waste the fert. money). 3 days later I still did not have AF, so went in for the BETA and was off the progesterone supp. for 4 days because I ran out and didn't seem to care because I assumed a BFN was coming. I sure learned my lesson!

I have been diagnosed with luteal phase defect - my cycle is only 22 - 23 days long. I ovulate on my own, but as late as CD 15-17. Yikes.

I am going to try Femara and timed intercourse for a while. My husband and I have had two pregnancies on our own before (one we lossed at 6 mos and one at 2 mos). So we know we can do this on our own, we were just trying to speed things up, because every month that AF comes it is really hard on me emotionally. Wounds are still pretty deep. I really had my hopes up after the IUI. So I think the Femara and timed intercourse will be a good meduim.

Does anyone else use Femara instead of Clomid? Just wanted your thoughts on it.

Then yesterday afternoon, I had terrible cramps.  The type of cramps I normally have day 2 or 3 of my cycle.  Still haven't started... but if AF doesn't arrive then I will test again tomorrow.

That is the strange thing -- me and DH have been in this game for almost 4 years trying to have a baby - and every month I will start testing so early and always get a BFN - then AF shows when expected.  This month AF is 4 days late and I am SCARED to test - ha - I will test tomorrow and gosh I hope its a BFP!  But we shall see.  This month has been so different that all the other months - well for the last 3 months my cycle has been 29 days and 3-4 days after O my bbs would start to hurt and like 3 days before AF is due I would get cramps in and backache.  

This month I was very laxed - I didn't test for O and didn't temp - my bbs just started feeling different Sunday - every now and then I get a tingling sensation in my right one and cramps on and off but different than AF cramps and yesterday and today no cramps at all.  So who knows hopefully the difference is that this month is a + as all the other months were BFN.

I'm 10DPIUI And 12DPTrigger shot. My temp was 98.8 today Im sure that it's the progesterone.  I felt a little depressed for the last couple of days. All my symptom are fading away which means I don't think My first IUI took. Now My BBS are still sensitive . But my full feeling has went away. It's like you said you can feel AF in there lurking. I'm four days from starting and  I feel its there. =(   ...... I really don't know what I want to do now for the next cycle. ICSI, Art..... Not sure Ive been trying for amost a year and it's very taxing and I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to go through IVF it's just to expensive $16.000 and there are no guarantees .Not that I've  haven't spent that in a year of trying to conceive .  Just bummin... Unprotected for 7 1/2 years (not sure if I should say trying bec never did opk etc) and always get AF on time, started seeing RE in August 08, failed 4 clomid and 1 injection cycle! Hi Everyone!

I've had 5 rounds of IUI without fertility drugs and no success.  I am 9 days post IUI and the difference this time is my doc did ovarian stimulation.  I took clomid 100mg for 5 days and on day 12, I took a shot of ovadril.  I had my procedure and was told that I had 3 good eggs so I'm just waiting to see.  I don't feel any different and I'm so afraid that it isn't going to work again.  I've had so much disappointment and worry that it hasn't worked again.  I'm trying to have faith that God will give me a healthy baby but I'm a nervous wreck in this.  Everyone around me is either pregnant right now or already have children.  This is the hardest thing I've ever gone through.  I'm so thankful for this forum because it shows me that I'm not alone....

I decided to test early this mornin because I have lost all symptoms =(.
I called the RE this morning and I have an Appt. On Monday to talk about the next step. I either want a lap done or ICSI. Not sure what I want . But I will keep you all updated as I go through the next step. I wish any everyone else a BFP.=)

I'm very sorry about your AF. Good luck to you for your next trials. May God give you a healthy and cute baby in a short time. It is very disappointing to see the old AF when we are hoping for a BFP. But we don't have anything in our hands. It's all God's grace. I too was trying for four years when I faced the same situation as yours many times...disappointment all the times. But when it's time for me to have a baby, God finally gave me a BFP. Thanks to the Almighty for what He has done. So don't get disappointed. Think that this is not your time and keep trying. Hello. I haven't posted in a while but I thought I would update everyone with my unusual circumstance. I had my IUI done on the 4th and everything went fine, nothing unusual. I was slated to start my period on the 18 but I started yesterday the 12th. Imagine my surprise...no warning signs and a week early. I first thought it was implantation but it gradually increased in color and flow :-( My RE seems to think that I  developed a cyst from the clomid. Anyone ever have this happen? Anyways, we are out of the IUI wait game and we have to move on to IVF...:-( We had the option of one more medicated cycle but with the possibility of developing another cyst we feel it is best to move on. Our chances are much better even though a little more expensive. Maybe I will get lucky and get two for the price of one lol!

it's been a few days since i got the BFN and since then i've had tears in my eyes, that's why i've moved to IVF.
It's important that we keep in mind that our time WILL come and we will get that bfp, but it will take a little effort.

Ladies, I would appreciate any feedback any of you can give me on this. I have a friend that is trying to get pregnant as well. She is 13dpo and all last week had very abnormal indigestion and heartburn. Over the weekend, she got very sick. Her lower back has really been bothering her as well. I work with her 5 days a week so I know for a fact that this is not normal for her. Should she take a preg test tomorrow? Her AF is scheduled to come tomorrow. Hi, I am new to this. My name is Mandy and i am living in Japan. I have read through most of the messages here and have felt a lot of encouragement. I have gone through two IUI cycles, both at a Maternity hospital. My gynac recommended i do the IUI with her. The first time i had a lot of cramping and felt really sick..The second one also resulted in a negative. I then asked my gynac  about the procedure she did, and all she did was to take the semen sample in a syringe and insert it, She didnt even bother washing it..I researched on the net and found out that that is why i  was having a lot of cramps. Also she performed my IUIs 12-24 hours after ovulation. I was really upset about this, as she is known to be good gynac, and Japan's medical system is pretty advanced...Anyway i stopped going to her and have started seeing a fertility expert, who is highly recommended. I feel so sad that i wasted 2 tries with her.

He has started me on Clomid day 3-7 since yesterday. I am really excited this time, as it seems this is the first time i have some hope of it working. My IUI should be done next week.

All-I went to my RE Dr this morning to do baseline U/S for this cycle and discovered that we have to skip this one, much like you shellbell, a monster cyst,3.75cm, is lurking and my endometrium is super thick!!  :( This is just so mentally exhausting and depressing. well, I am BFN.  So we might try one more time.  The clomid worked better for me than the Lupron or Menopur ever did.  If anyone needs it, I still have 24 vials of Lepori HMG of 75 FSH/LH.  They were $13.65 each but I only ever produced 1 egg (vs 3 off clomid).

My husband and I have done 5 IUI 3 with no meds and 2 with clomid. Our highest count post was 7.4mil our lowest was 1.3mil. I have yet to conceive. This past IUI was our last because I developed a cyst with the clomid. We are moving on to IVF. My RE encouraged us by saying it only takes one, but one never made it. Nina and Leebaby: I am so sorry about the cysts guys,  Nina four of them!!! wow so I guess all the symptoms we were going thru has left us with cysts! This is so depressing I find myself praying and crying everynight, my SIL is 5 months pregnant and its driving me nuts it makes me even more depress when I see her! I am just waiting it out trying naturally will not do anything for me because I've tried naturally for 7 years and nothing happen.

God will gave us all what we want, just hang in there!

Mellychar: I have done about 5 iui's 3 with clomid and 2 with injectables, never had that low count and my RE said anything under 5mil they will not do the iui, I've had from 5mil to 12mil. good luck!

Hello all. I had my first iui on Mar 6 and second on Mar 7 this is my second time trying. First time failed, found out this time that dh count is low but I have had some weird symptoms this time. It started with heartburn at 4dpiui for 3 days then on weekend sore breasts and cramps thought AF was coming did HPT yesterday but neg. go for bw tommorow.  
Did Gonal-F injectables and HCG shot, progestorone supositories had two good foliciles this cycle but dh sperm was 1 million after wash iui twice also did bd day before iui and two days after iui also my OV was for three days ++ that is unusual anyone else have + ovulation for more than two days?
I am not getting my hopes up, because RE said we have to move to IVF w/ICIS next. We already have a daughter naturally three yrs old, dh and I figure it can happen again naturally if it happened once before just need to have a relaxing night without 3yr old. LOL.
Well good luck to all who are in 2ww, and if anyone can give me any feed back on some symptoms they had during the 2ww please let me know.

To those who do not know my past.
I had 2 failed IUI , in Jan09 & Feb09.
I was very disappointed and had a feeling to go to another RE, I took the appointment and went today to another RE and I was shocked.
My husbands sperms are frozen and for both IUI they used frozen sperms. My new RE looked the semen analysis done before freezing the sperm and she said though sperm counts and motility is good morphology of sperms was too poor(shape & size of sperm), so there is no way an IUI would work and even just IVF wouldnot work either, she said IVF with ICSI is the best option.
so to all ladies with failed IUI please check with ur RE abt morphology of the sperm, I was really disturbed, if i wud have still continue with my old RE he suggested 2 more IUI cycle.

I had to take a break this month due to developing a cyst RE says it was probably from the clomid. So DH and I are trying naturally this month and if not BFP we will begin follistim and letrozole. Hopefully this work. I am feeling pretty optimistic so we will see what happends.

HI Everyone - I am 8dpiui - 3rd iui with clomid..... dh has been producing anywhere between 18-46 million sperm per IUI.... I have no symptoms - the only thing that is different is that I don't feel like I am getting AF.. before my period, I usually have twinges in my breast and now I have none.... I think I am overanalyzing,,,

Anyways, we will continue IUI with injectibles next month if this IUI is unsuccessful.... I know someone said that many girls on this site take them... just a little freaked out with the HCG shot - can't imagine doing one everynight...cause thats what Gonadotropins are, right?

I have not posted in a while, but I thought I would put an update out here.  We got a BFN again.  
DH and I have decided to take a couple of months off.  I will still take Metformin, and he will still take GNC's fertility blend for men, but we are not going to do any other meds or procedures.
We will be going to a conference that goes into details on IVF and what it entails... and then probably going that route in June, July, or August.
Good luck to all of you... it has been great being part of a group with similiar issues and experiences.  Really helps to know I am not alone with this.

Have you asked your RE's about Femara? It works a little different than Clomid and actually can shrink ov cysts while working. It is taken just like Clomid (cd 3-7 or around). It is a little more expensive, but has a much shorter half life (leaves the system fast) and much less chance of multiples, so most RE will let you take it without all of the sono's to check # of follies. I just took my last one yesterday and plan to have timed intercourse this cycle. I wasted two months taking b-control pills to get rid of a cyst that never went away and I had it aspirated. My RE gave me this option in the beginning, but I chose to go with birth control and then clomid. She told me after my failed IUI that she has seen many women have no luck with clomid and immediate luck with Femara. (I guess the key word here is LUCK!!!) anyway she said that she is prescribing Femara more and more every month. Just thought I would share this info. It might be worth looking into.

No I haven't asked about those meds I left it up to him to give me what he thought  was best for me. I'm sitting out this cycle doing all natural cause I have 4 cyst . But Me and  my husband are going natural until July and do IVF I go to my meeting in April. I've been trying for a year.

all Today is cd 36 or so I have stopped counting...waiting for af to get started with iui's surgery date was changed to April 13th now...no af or pg signs???

Hello ladies,
I am just checking in.
It seems like AF is about to come soon. I had some spotting today. It was weird though because it was a really dark almost brown color. IDK it would be great if it were just implant bleeding. I usually have really sore boobes right before AF but only cramps and lower back pain. DH and I tried naturally this month so I guess now I just waite. As soon as AF comes we will begin our next cycle of follistim and i think femara or letrozole. I don't remember. We definately won't be doing clomid b/c i developed two cycts last time. I pray this is it for us. We aret trying to buy a house so we are despartely trying to save and theses meds are getting more and more expensive.
Well I will check back in to let you guys know what my status is.
