yes, I am going to do another IUI. The Dr keeps saying I am a hard case but he is being optimistic that I will be pregnant soone. Keep your fingers crossed. I have a dr's appt on cd11 which is 7/20/09. My B-day is next month and I will be 36. Getting prego would be the best birthday present ever. I keep wondering if I would have known about these inexpensive treatments 5 yrs ago would I have had a different outcome. I guess I can't second guess myself. The dr just thinks the gonal through off my system and that is why i was 5 days late. baby dust to everyone and I will be praying for all of you.

Thanks for your words of encouragement! I had my 4th IUI on Sunday 7/12. I had a few good follicles and my husbands sperm was great so thinking very positively. Last time it worked, I just miscarried. This time I am hoping for a pregnancy that will last 9 months. I haven't been on this site for a few days because I was taking care of my mom after her eye surgery. NOw I am just waiting to get my BFP. Good luck to you.

Hello :) I too went in for an IUI recently 7/13. This is my first IUI. The 2ww is driving me insane. Last night I was a bit too emotional and for some reason I felt super mild pain on my left side...I really think it's more psychological than anything. Plus IDK what to make of this since I'm also starting to feel PMS :( Is this normal to feel that??? CD1 is not until 7/27. I was on Femara for 4 days and then used a trigger injection (hcg) 36 hours prior to going in for IUI. The nurse said I could go in on 7/24 or just wait til 7/27.

Praying for everyone here to have that little bundle of joy soon...

Hi I am new to the forum, well not really I am always reading everyone's posts. This is my third IUi, second with clomid. I too like trying2conceive had an iui on July 13. I am 3 days past iui, is that the same when people say 3 days past ovulation? I laso had the trigger shot, then had the iui 23 hours later, I thought that was too soon. I did have 3 mature follies 21 and the rest were 22 on cd11. I had the shot on cd 13, then iui on day 14. I am going nuts, and feeling alot of things in my lower abdomen, alot of cramping, slight period cramping, very moody, but I know these can't be signs, too early, probably the meds making me nuts. Anyway look forward to doing the 2ww with all of you. Trying2conceive, what day is your test, will you do a hpt first???

i'm glad i found your posts. i am currently about a week late but i just know i'm not pregnant-- no symptoms. thanks to reading your posts i am going to ask my doctor for an ultrasound to check my ovaries for cysts. if they are clear then i will ask for provera to get my period started.

(i had a negative HPT on CD28, currently CD35, and i am waiting until Monday morning to take another one, if i still haven't started my pd. by then.)

Hi...looks like we're on the same boat. I was on Femara CD 4 - 7, then HCG trigger on CD 14. 12dpiui is on 7/25 but I think I will wait until 7/27 prior to going in to see the DR and do an HPT. What about you? What day do you plan to do an HPT or will you just wait to go in an have bloodwork? Looks like we both have the same symptoms as far as the light cramps, Can't say I've been moody to be honest (I'm sure my husband thinks otherwise LOL)

I look forward to going through this with others, We haven't told anyone yet, so I can only talk to you guys. I am having lots of cramping, but that's it. I swore the last two times that I was prego, and both times very disappointed. I know I will break down and take hpt, I can't help it. But I think I'll know sooner than the blood test, the last two times I got my period 10 days past iui, that's early, I am not sure but I think that's why the doc wants to put me on progesterone. Does anyone know why? I go for a progesterone test on Tues, then they'll let me know, can that test give any indication whether or not I may be prego?????

I am on cycle day 7. I too, Femara days 3 thru 7. I take 150un of gonal F tomorrow night and 150un of gonal on Sat. I see the dr on Mon cd11. I am hoping they are good size. when I was just on clomid I was a slow grower. I hope femara and gonal are a good combo. I can tell the femara is doing something b/c i do have some twinge cramping so I guess that is good. I did have the same with clomid though. I hope this is the miracle month. I think he is going to put me on progesterone this time. Does that make a difference? He said it is possible i fertilize but egg doesn't implant b/c wall thins out. I don't know what to think. I a trying to think positive vibes. babydust to all.

I had my 4th IUI on July 13th. I started taking progesterone on Wednesday. I have one DS. Who was conceived in December of 06 through the same process. It was the very first try. Since then I have had two miscarriages. The most horrible thing anyone could ever go through. However, we are moving forward and hoping that the HSG procedure that they did to check for tubal blockage cleared out any cobwebs. I have 4 mature follicles, two of them were 24. DH's swimmer count was 50 mm. I am hoping for a a BFP on July 28th. I just hate the two week waiting period. I swear I am tired my bbs are sore and my back is killing me. But of course, that is the medicine. I want to wish each and every one of you the best of luck.

Dupes girl you are right along with me and trying2conceive. I also had my iui on July 13th, and am very impatiently awaiting the day I can test. After this try we are doing one round of ivf, then that's it. W e have two sons already, always wanted 4, and don't feel that infertility should hold us back. I am so sick of everyone saying, " but you have two already", yes and I absolutely adore my children and appreciate everyday that I was able to conceive them, even if it was through IVF and embryo transfer. W e want at least one more and are back at square one, and yes are very desperate, I'm 35 ( July 3rd), and I feel as though time is running out. Anyway I love reading everyone's posts and even more I love reading when someone gets a positive, I get chills, not greater feeling in the world. Good luck and tons of babydust to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chrisdaniel: first of all, happy belated birthday :) I will be turning 35 in August! The only difference is this is my first time going through IUI and no prior kiddos. My husband and I kept thinking it would happen to us in the "normal" fashion. Boy were we wrong. Nonetheless, I have been feeling tired but that's it. Quite honest, since the ultra mild cramping went away, I kinda feel like my old self...meaning, tired prior to a week or so before my AF comes along. Hope this works for both you and I :)

dupesgirl: looks like chrisdaniel and I are right there with you...all three of us went in on 7/13 for IUI :) Good luck to us all!!!

all your responses are so great to read! I am new to this whole thing, including IUI. Just had my first one done 2 weeks ago. was on 50 mg of clomid and my day 22 progesterone test was at a 67. I was told that was high (don't know if that is good though) and now I am playing a waiting game. reading into everything my body is doing....sore nipples, peeing every hour, and always tired. I think i am just so eager after trying naturally for 3 years! any advice? I still have 4 days until i can go to the doctor for the test because of the Hcg booster shot.

well the cramping won't stop and it feels like my period is on its way. my lower back hurts and i am starting to spot lightly. i took a pregnancy test today and it was negative...how does one not get depressed over all of this? did anything work for others...need some encouragement

Hey, hang in there your time will come. You never know maybe the cramping and the spotting is implantation, how many day past iui are you? Do you normally spot before A period, I know I don't it just comes. W e are all here for you, that's how you get through it, you get to vent whatever you want to us. Sometimes friends and even our hubbys can't deal with how emotional this truly is! It will happen hang in there, if this is your period, then do like I do, go out for some drinks, glass of wine, and start looking forward to the next cycle, that's all we really can do and STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!!!! Will be thinking of you, keep us posted please! Too many people just disappear from these posts, I'll be reading and then be like " hey wait whatever happened to this one and that one, can't ever find any updates!

woke up this morning and I got my period so I guess iui didn't work this month. i do always spot before i get my period, however my period was really late for my norm. does clomid normally make you later than usual? does anyone get worse cramps when on it? keep me posted and thanks for the encouragement...it is exactly what i needed.

Hey everyone.
  Well today is 1 days past iui, I am still having occasional mild cramping. No sore bb, some headaches. I felt all these symptoms last month, I literally cramped from before ovulation until the day AF arrived, so I really don't know what to think.
I don't know if I can say I am that emotional, I am not crying over every little thing, but I am getting my feeling hurt, and pissed off easier than normal, but we all know that could also be AF creeping up. Well last two iui's I had me period on day 10 which is Thursday 7/23, so I guess if I don't start spotting  by then, amybe I'll get a little more encouraged, but sorry to say for right now, very down, and am pretty sure this cycle didn't work!

I had u/s done today. I have a 16 on my right ovary and a 13 on my left ovary. I start testing for lh surge at home on Wed and I go back in for U/S on thursday. I am hoping femara and gonal are the lucky combo that will work for me. in any case i will have a good size follicle on each ovary. I don't think that has happened yet. they have alway dominated on one or the other but not both. I will keep you posted.

went back to the doc today for an U/S and they said i had a cyst on my left side and they didn't know if i could do another round of iui this month? anyone know why. they did call back to say my doc approved it for this month but i still don't know what the cyst thing is all about. any suggestions?

I have never had a problem with left over cysts but I think they want you to start out clean so there are no obstructions. The cyst's I believe usually go away on there own. That is good the dr ok'd to do another iui though.

I do have a question i am normally a 30dayer....I triggered this time cd 10 and bd on cds 11,12, and 13 Just wondering if that could be too early even using the Ovidril to induce ovulation?

O.K. ladies, help me out, I told you I couldn't wait to take the HPT's, this morning I took a dollar tree one and came back negative, then tonight I took the E.P.T. one that shows
5 days before the period ( digital) and it came back **** PREGNANT****, I am only 8 days past iui, 9 past trigger shot! Does that negative in the AM mean that the trigger shot was out of my system, and if so can I really get a positive this early????
Please help, I am not going to be able to sleep tonight!

Hello Ladies...I was out of town and disconnected from cyberworld, but I'm back :)

Yesterday, exactly 1 week after IUI, I has some spotting in the AM. I called the nurse and she said it could be either two things...implantation or spotting before AF. I asked if Femara or HCG trigger would cause AF to come sooner/later than usual. She said no. In the past, I have spotted before AF but not a whole week before...AF is due to come on 7/27 and spotting ocurred on 7/20. I continue to have mild cramping. I have lots of cravings and very gassy (lol) just like when AF is due to arrive. Typically my bb's are sore prior to AF, at least 3 days prior and as of today, no soreness. I asked nurse if I should take HPT, but she said it is still too early. Now that I read your post chrisdaniel, I want to run to the store and purchase an HPT. Are you/ did you test this morning 7/21? Results??? I wish you much luck!!!

Yes I did, with the dollar store one I got negative, then w/ clear blue easy I got another pregnant, this time it wasn't the 5 days before your period one. I went for my progesterone level this morning and the nurse told me to stop testing because the trigger shot stays in your system for 2 weeks. I just feel like I am now, could be disappointed in a couple of days, but my nips are really bothering me, usually my boobs hurt and yes usually a week before AF, but this time it's my nips, feels like they are on fire. I am addicted to eeing on a stick, so I will be testing everyday til either AF, or the dollar store one finally comes back positive!!! I wish I had spotting at 7 days past iui! I don't want to give you false hope, but that sounds like implantation bleeding to me, did it get any heavier????

you are too funny!!! I will just wait it out til at least Friday. I only saw blood once yesterday in the AM. Thereafter, nothing. It wasn't at all heavy, very minimal. The nurse told me I could go in for bloodwork on Friday and have results Saturday or if I wanted to wait til Monday and I'd know that same evening. I told her I'd wait it out, but that might not keep me from wanting to use an HPT. On Saturday, 7/25, it'll be exactly 2 weeks from the date I had the HCG trigger...

Keeping fingers crossed for both of us :)

I am on my 4th IUI. I got a BFP on my 2nd IUI; however, I suffered a m/c about 6 days later, so apparently it was a chemical pregnancy. I am now 6.5 days post IUI on my 4th attempt to conceive. I can tell you that my bbs on kind of sore, not to horribly bad, but sore and I have been having mild cramping for about a day and a half now but no spotting. During my last 2ww I took a hpt from like day 10 on and got +'s on everyone until day 13 when I got 2 negs in a row. I would seriously recommend not taking HPTs and waiting for the beta test. Trust me it ***** to get your hopes up and then end up with a negative serum test. Not to mention it is a waste of $$ when nothing is official until the blood test. I am just hoping for a BFP in just over a week...Baby dust to all!!!

We did our first IUI on 7/14 and the 2ww is killing me. I was on 100mg of clomid on days 5-9. I had HCG shot so can't test till 7/27. This is our first round of fertility treatment and don't really know what to expect. I've had some mild cramping and a little pain in my ovaries since the procedure. I normally don't cramp with my cycle. I haven't had any other symptoms. I don't know if I should take that as a negative or don't read anything into it.

I am about to have my 10th iui. Why did you do HCG trigger with clomid? You should ovulate on your own with clomid. If you don't that is when they have you take hcg injection. this month i did Femara days 3 thru 7 and then gonal F injectibles on days 8 & 9. I went to dr on Monday and had a follicle that was a 13 on left ovary and a 16 on right ovary. I go back to dr tomorrow for another u/s to see what size they are. they told me they want the follicles between 22 & 24. The dr has me testing for my LH surge at home though. not sure why they had you doing trigger. keep me posted. what were the size of your follicles?

Hi everyone, kind of bummed, I had to go on progesterone starting yesterday. Looks like the nurses were right, it was the trigger shot giving me the positive hpt'ssssssss. Now taking the same tests they are negative, I am out of control, more than I was with my first two pregnancies. I have to admit I am addicted to taking HPT'S and also addicted to this site. My eyes are blurry, but not from the clomid, from sitting at the computer all the time and typing 9 days past iui/ pregnancy symptoms etc. etc...
Anyway alot of cramping, my back is hurting, easily annoyed, bloated, headaches, the cramping is all day constant, so I don't think it's preggo symptoms. Does anyone know for sure if progesterone delays a period, and headaches/ cramping. What are the side effects of progesterone???
Looks like a couple of us are going in for bloodwork on Monday. I'oll be praying for all of us, and anyone else ttc and all those lucky enough to get BFP!!!!!

WOW! I Haven't been on in a while alots been going on. i fianlly went to see a different DR. My third to be exacted. Well i seen him on May 26 just talked about what was going on and he did alot of blood work on me, they took 13 vials of blood, On June 1 i went back for a annual exam he did a ultrasound also to see what the follies looked like. he seen a poylp and said we need to get that taken care of they sch me a d&c on the 12. but he did tell me to try on my own this cycle that i was at ovulation. He said that i need to come and have a bllod test on the 11 to see if i got pregnant b4 the procedure. they called on the12 and told me to come to the DR office. got there and told me they had to cancel the procedure that i was pregnant but was concerned if this baby would make it. all the blood work that he did show i have a blood disorder and i was having recurrent pregnancy and was losing them b4 i would even know i was pregnant but the funny thing is i had 3 iui from last DR i went to and and just knew i was pregnant but the test showed otherwise last dr never did blood test they had me test at home. the outcome i did lose the baby and had to have the d&c on June 24 the blood disorder that i have is a very long word if you would like to check into it look up MTHFR. I WILL HAVE TO GIVE MYSELF SHOTS OF LOVENOXX IN MY STOMACH B4 AND DURING MY WHOLE PREGANCY SO I AM BACK IN THE GAME FINALLY GOT MY AF TO TRY AGAIN WENT YESTERDAY FOR U/S HE SAID IF I WAS DOING IVF HE COULD GET ABOUT 8 EGGS FROM ME. HE PUT ME ON CLOMID AND MONDAY I GO BACK FOR ANOTHER U/S AND HE IS GOING TO HAVE ME DO INJECTIONS ON REPRONEX THIS CYCLE. SO WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

I'm not sure why we did the trigger.  This is our first time doing IUI.  We had been trying for 6 months on our own unsuccessfully using a fertility monitor.  We have an older child that was conceived the first time, but we were a lot younger then.  I'm 35 now so GYN sent us to a fertility specialists.  Everything has started moving so fast since then.  Our heads have been spinning and we've just been doing what the Dr recommends.

I had two mature follicles, 22 & 24.  I had that wasn't quite ready.  My husband's count was 99.9, but motility was around 37%.  They said they wanted it around 50%.  Hopefully, his guys will have enough energy for the shorter swim with IUI.

If AF comes this time, I have to go talk to Dr about my challenge test.  The numbers were higher than they wanted them.  I guess he'll adjust the clomid.

I went for u/s this morning and I have a follicle that is 19 on right ovary. that is the dominant one, the one on the left kind of petered out and is only a 10 now and it was 13 on Monday. I go in for another u/s on Saturday. they have me testing for surge at home but I was told either way they will give me hcg injection. I asked why if I ovulate on my own and i was told it helps with the making of progesterone and helps support the lining. the dr is keeping a pretty close eye on me to make sure we don't miss our window and the follicles get to the right size. the dr told me the ideal size is 22 to 24. I will keep everyone posted.

hoping4baby2009- I am sorry about the blood disorder but now that they found it maybe the injections they have you taking will help you to carry a baby.

I have been having problems with people lately. I found someone on facebook from my little home town. She lives in Dallas and has 3 kids which one has CP, they are trying for a 4th child, she doesn't work and he is a school bus driver. she was telling me how their money is already stretched. my question is why would you want to have another baby when you are already having financial problems and have a child that has special needs? I guess it just gets under my skin because we are all having issues with fertility and all desperately want a baby. it just doesn't seem right. am I the only one that feels this way? let me know if I am just being jealous or what!!

I feel the same way. My SIL has second on the way and they are getting help financially from in laws already. It was supposedly an accident with her on birth control. My stepsister is also pregnant with 3rd and they can't make ends meet now and she is overwhelmed. I'm happy for them about the babies, but it still doesn't seem fair.

Meanwhile, we haven't told anyone that we've been trying so seeing stories on here makes it so much better. Believing it can happen makes it easier to put on a happy face when they all talk about the babies on the way.

My IUI was on 7/12 and I had the HCG shot on 7/10 (About 42 hours before). The cramping is very normal. My last IUI was in Oct and I got pregnant but miscarried. I felt the sharp pain on the one side. Then a few days later I felt cramps like my period was coming. My boobs were extremely sore too. I am really trying not to test until Sunday but I am so tempted to test earlier. When are you testing?? Good luck!

I will be going in for bloodwork on Monday 7/27 if AF doesn't arrive. Have you tried HPT yet? I will be trying tomorrow morning for the first time (if I'm brave enough) otherwise, I will wait 'til Saturday morning. The nurse said she really didn't want me wasting money on HPT since I'd be getting bloodwork done anyways. Cramping has faded - mainly because HCG most likely is out of my system...and I think the exhaustion/sleepiness along w/ bb's being sore is due to PMS. It's been difficult having to do the 2ww. Within the past several days, some of the ppl I had been communicating w/ on this site haven't been around. I was close to spilling the beans to my mother, but I don't want to worry her. My husband keeps telling me to be patient. I sometimes have to remind him that if he were feeling any symptoms, he too would have this on his mind 24/7. I gotta hand it to him though, he has been patient and understanding.

My RE doesn't do the bloodwork until I get a positive HPT result or no period arrives. So I don't have another appt. at all. I will probably wait to test on Saturday. Last time when I got pregnant I tested 14 DpIUI and got a BFP. But it was extremely faint line. Let me know if you end up testing before MOnday. But if I were you I would wait until Monday so you would know for sure what the results are. I know easier said than done! Good luck. IUI really does work so keep the faith!

Okay I worked over last night (at the hospital) had progestrone drawn and it is 18.1 (don't know if thats a good number or not???) re's office still closed but they will call as soon as they see the results are in the system (I have access so I can look too..:) ) So I guess I am just playing the waiting game... 8 days past Ovidril...back sore, mildly tender boobs Im sure from trigger shot and if no AF and any signs I will be testing in about 10 days (since my cycles run longer I ususally wait a few more days then the normal 2 week thing....Keep me in your prayers please hopefully just bd'ing did he trick...

I am soo tired of wondering and thinking about every ache and pain, believe me it'sall worth it if I get a BFP, I'll welcome all those symptoms with open arms, but all this just to have that ugly hag... well today is 11dpiui...gave in, took HPT and is was negative :( I feel so disappointed. I thought for sure since I spotted on 7dpiui, that things were moving right along. I did figure many of the symptoms I had were due to hcg trigger. Yesterday, much of the bloating and cramping went away. This morning I have some cramping on lower abdomen...not sure if it's PMS since it is due to arrive on Monday. I almost want to not go in to see my RE...just so I can hear, nope - it didn't work!!!

You are keeping such a positive attitude - hats off to you :) Maybe you can send some of that empowerment down this path...

Question: why did they put you on progesterone? what does it do? how does it help?

If you test again, best of luck! I am definitely not doing anything else 'til Monday, whether it's HPT or BT.

I am new...currently 2 days into my 2ww after my first IUI. The waiting is driving me crazy, I have no focus at all, on anything! I am feeling very crampy and "full". I am thinking from the timing of the IUI and the trigger shot, my eggs should have been ready and waiting. Has anyone had really early signs and a postive test. I am wondering if what I am feeling is left over from the hcg or if the signs are true pregancy signs. Best of luck to everyone!

Hi! I hope it's okay if I post here - you ladies seem to know a lot!

I had my first IUI (with Clomid) yesterday at about 11:30am. They had a little bit of trouble getting through my cervix so I wasn't surprised by a bit of very light spotting. However, last night at about 6pm I had some cramps and some heavy brown spotting. Could that be ovulation bleeding? (I had 4 large follicles) or something else?
Also, I'm worried that the blood washed out or killed the sperm.

Any advice/thoughts would be great - thank you

I told everyone that i went to dr yesterday and had follicle that was 19 but was told not to worry about testing for surge. I ck'd for surge today and it was positive. I was at work when I tested, I even had my friend look at pee stick to make sure test line was same color as reference. I didn't want to call dr with false alarm. I called Dr's office and I have appt @ 1:15 today. I am really hoping that I didn't start surging yesterday. the nurse assured me that more then likely I didn't b/c the follicle would have been to small. I will feel better once I see my dr today. hey ladies...sorry it has been a few days but i was getting over the depression from last weekend. anyways, i started clomid again yesterday (still 50mg) because he said i did good on it and we are waiting for an U/S on weds. i have since decided not to tell ANYONE that we are doing another round of IUI because i felt so defeated last month. it is hard telling 20 people that it didn't work and i feel like i am letting them all done. my husband insists that i am not...but i still feel otherwise. i love talking to all you because you are the only ones that know we are doing this again...crazy because i have never even met you guys! well thanks for all the support! keep us posted monday girls!

i did the same cycle as you did only 50mg of clomid. they gave me the trigger shot so that they could control everything, rather than me ovulate on my own. my doc gives us really good percentages for the first 3 tries, so let me know if i works because we are in the same boat. did you do a booster shot a week after the trigger shot?

I didn't do a booster shot. What is it for? We're so new to this, I don't know what to ask the dr for or ask questions about. The doc gave us good percentages as well for 3-4 tries. It seems like everyone I know is getting pregnant around me. I've had a very emotional day today after getting more baby news from another relative. It's so hard waiting. Will you be doing a HPT on Monday as well? Or before or after? Or just a BT?

well get this, I went to dr today as i stated before b/c I had a surge today. The egg had released already. the dr said we could do the iui in the morning but he has no way of telling when the egg released. I had u/s yesterday and it hadn't but I was told not to test b/c the follicle was still to small even though it was a 19. after i found out it released i was a little upset with np b/c she told me not to worry about testing yesterday. I should have followed my instincts.I more then likely start the surge yesterday. the dr told me that we would have better chances if we did iui today. I would have to have sperm to office by 3:30pm so he could do it today. He leaves office around 4 but he would say he would wait for me as long as i could get sperm there by 3:30. it was 2:00 at this time. my husband had to go out of town this morning for work so when i called him he was still 30 min out from work and then it takes him another 30 min to get home. I told him the situation and he said he would try to get home by 3. believe it or not he made it by breaking a few speed limits but we still had to collect sample and we are 20min from dr's office. He didn't know if he would be able to produce sample that fast under pressure but he suprised me and did. we had the sample to the office by 3:30 and dr did iui at 4:15. we were hauling buttttt. The dr was joking and told my husband he was the rapid traveler all the way around and if we get pregnant maybe that means the baby will be rushy all the time.he said we have a pretty good chance of conceiving this month. he just doesn't know when the egg released. It could of released 5 min after u/s yesterday but he is thinking it released this morning and the egg is viable for 24hrs after it's release. they also gave me hcg inj to help with lining even though i released on my own. I start progesterone supplement on Monday. I will keep everyone posted and give me some baby vibes. I don't know how much more disappointment I can take but maybe this is a good sign that everything is going to work out.

i forgot to add the most important part of this whole thing. His sperm count was 200million and it had good concentration and good motility. I am hoping that turns out to be great in the end. I am in the 2ww with everyone else now. I was feeling a little left out. I just know that someone has to break the cycle and get pregnant and then everyone else will too. wouldn't that just be awesome that we all get pregnant this cycle.

If you tested on 11dpiui, it might have been too early for a positive result. I think I am going to test tomorrow morning on 13dpiui. Hope you will get good results from the bloodwork on Monday.

I do have one question. Is it normal when you have an IUI to have some leakage? I read somewhere that could be the loose mucus from the release of the egg. My husband was worried that the sperm was leaking out. I told him that once the sperm is put in by the iui it can't leak out b/c the cervix closes after speculum comes out. I was right wasn't i. I started to think about it and hopefully it won't leak out. once I stand up it feels like it is leaking. Does anyone know or can you give me some reassurance that it doesn't leak out.

I tested this morning and got BFN. So now I wait for period to start. Not sure what to do next... This was my 4th IUI but only the 2nd one with an RE. Not sure if I should turn to IVF or try IUI again. I got pregnant on the 3rd IUI (1st one at RE's office) and miscarried at 5 weeks. Any advice would be appreciated. I am sorry to hear about the BFN. I know how hard it is. I don't know if u should do ivf next or iui, I just had my 10th IUI and haven't gotten pg on any of them. The dr doesn't know what is going on. I hope the one i had yesterday is the magic one. I can't afford ivf so this is my only option. I think if you got pg with another iui try doing what u did that time and maybe u need progesterone supplements after iui to keep lining thick. keep us posted on what u are going to do. My thing is ivf is so expensive and there is still no guarantee that u will get pregnant.

Thanks for the advice! My dr has me take 2 more shots of HCG after the IUI. It is a much smaller dose and more diluted than the HCG for ovulation. I think the purpose is similar to the progesterone. The only thing that I did differently this time is that last time when I got pregnant I did 2 treatments of acupuncture before the IUI. I am thinking that I might go back to doing the acupuncture with the IUI and meds. I agree that IVF is so expensive and no guarantees. My friend did 2 IVF's and miscarried both times.

all: Just checking in on you ladies....I did the Gonal F/Menopur mixture and just bd'ing this month....I took the trigger shot on 7/16 so today is day 10 and it should be gone...nothing going on here...just lower back ache tenderness in boobs is almost completely gone....:( I have 11 more days before re thinks I should test since my cycles run so far and in between....so not sure what is what just hanging around as the days pass by. Thank you all for all your excitement, the RE office just called, it is confirmed BFP++++++++. We are really happy, but are still very cautious, I won't allow myself to get truly happy unitl I see a heartbeat, go back on Wed to see if my numbers go up. Then I think an ultrasound sometime next week. I have written down everything I felt since I had the iui, I am going to post either tonight or tomorrow. When i had my last 3 iui's I was glued to these posts looking for others symptoms who ended up getting BFP'S I just wanted something else to compare my symptoms to, and I am sure there are others out there that want the same. This 2ww was the worst one, I don't know why, so if I can give any advice to make anyone else's 2ww go by easier, I hope I can do that.
I am praying for all of us on this site, everyone ttc, all the BFP, and all those who have recently had heartache, it will happen!!!!!!!!!
I will keep you all posted and thanks again for all the info and support, can't do this alone!!

I wanted to post the symptoms I had on my 2ww, because I was always searching the web looking for the earliest signs of pregnancy, that's what brought me here. For months I would just " stalk" the forum. Cheer everyone on silently, cry for all the heartache. Finally after my second failed iui, I had to join for the 2ww, but I was still looking for otheres who were having preggo symptoms, then actually did turn out preggo, so I promised if I did get BFP i would post my symptoms just in case there was anyone else out there that was also driving themselves crazy.

Days 1-5  alot of cramping, bloated
Day 6piui still lots of AF cramps, but all day long, I had just started Progesterone, so maybe that was it??? Starting to get very depressed really convinced this has to be AF.

Day 7piui a little metal mouth, same horrible cramps, nips starting to get sore, just the nips, irritated, very thirsty. hpt----- BFP ( IT WAS THE hcg SHOT STILL IN MY SYSTEM)

Day 8piui  Armpits starting to hurt, bad backache, went to dinner and had these sharp pains on my left side I had to stay still for @ 10 minutes, also felt like a pulling/ twisting.
*** oh yeah ever since O, I always had alot of CM, I don't usually stay like that all that time!*****  hcg still in my system. HPT= +++

Day9piui   Alot, Alot of cramping, very bloated bb's uncomfortable, backache  hpt-- BFN

day 10 piui Gum's sore when brushing, cramping settling a little, but now feel like I do right before I ovulate, rather than pms record breaking w/ the HPT'S today, I think I took 4 in one day!!!  All BFN  now I'm pissed!!

11dayspiui   Go to Pharmacy for guess what, I used them all the day before! Planned on taking the test later on at home, but I got a horrible stomach ache and had to use the pharmacy B.R. I couldn't resist the test was right there in my bag, I had to take it. I kind of just tossed it on the sink while I was waiting, it was the E.P.T. 5 DAY SOONER digital. I totally thought it would say   NOT PREGNANT, but when I looked all I saw was pregnant, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me! Then I had to buy the 5 day sooner FR the one with the lines this time, and sure enough you could barely see it, really had to look, but it was there. YEAH

11-14DPIUI  symptoms really kicking in, but these are not symptoms I have ever had before. I am like a hound dog, smelling everything around the house, I am walking around with my nose in the air, all these smells are not making me naseous, just aggravating me! Also I feel like I have Narcalepsye? Extremely tired. Still cramping, but it's not bothering me anymore!

Oh yeah I forgot about the headaches they started at @ 7 days piui.

Still feeling alot of twinges and pains, but everything is on my left side, and that's the side they told me I couldn't get pregnant on ( blocked tube) hmmmmm? I felt some cramps on the right too, but mostly everything was and still is on my left.

I hope this wqs helpful, I don't want to give anyone false hope, just hope maybe reading this may ease someone's mind a bit.

I am telling you all now pregnancy symptoms, both physical and emotional are very very similiar to AF symptoms, so it's not over til you go for the BETA!!

been trying naturally for 2 years 2 months, began in may 2007, at age 35, now 37. was given clomid in april, nothing. took until june, had to go off due to cysts. Had first IUI on july 17th. had to take the trigger shot on 16th. doc measured follicle at 19 on wed the 15, said all should be good by friday for iui. Am now 11 day past iui. took ept yesterday on day 10piui, it said no. I have had cramps and moodiness, feel bloated and bb's swollen, but all this feels like normal pms. AF scheduled for the 30th. Question is was day day 10piui too soon to test? on day 11 day, still crampy.

hey, I tested starting at 7 days piui, because I'm obsessed with pos. i FINALLY GOT A POSITIVE ON DAY 11, BUT IT WAS A DIGITAL e.p.t. 5 days earlier than period one, these were the only ones I could really get a true positive, I also took the 5 day early 11 dpiui and I did see the second line, but very saint. I am now 4 weeks and 3 days.

Sassygirl35 to me they are good signs, because it can't be your period symptoms this early! Good luck!

Thanks you ladies for the prayers and well wishes I just knew 7 iui's, scar removal surgery, 2 tubal checks, removal of my left tube, 2 eptpic pregnancies, 1 chemical pregnancy, 1 miscarriage, death of our 1 and only son at 6 months of age, clomid, ovidril, Gonal F, Menopur, Femara, and 2 months of injectables and bd'ing something would happen...maybe its not in the cards for us...IVF is too exspensive since dh lost his job in October (Chrysler) and was not there long enough to take a buy out! The offer from re's office or IVF was $2500 down and 400 per month until its paid off ($8350) and me in school and working only 32 hours per week is just cutting it too close to take a chance (that's sad we have to decide between our lively hood and trying to have a baby!) I am beginning to get to that point as well. if the iui doesn't work this month I might have to take a month off b/c of job reasons but then i will probably just do one or 2 more months. It is very expensive. If you don't mind me asking how did your son die? that is really sad. I know what it's like to want something so bad and things just never go the way we want them to. everymonth I keep having everyone tell me this is the month but it gets very frustrating. Waiting for results. Had a IUI on July 18th, been cramping and started spotting today d25. I am never under 30 days. Is this normal? I was really hoping that this time it would work with the follistim. We did have a second opinion in June with a doctor who was covered under my insurance. He said that I have a disease in my tubes that, we have had four miscarriages with no help from doctors. Actually when I went to see the 2 doctor I was going through another miscarriage. He suggested to do IVF. However we went back to our doctor who we have been working with before, he didn't think I needed to do IVF. But if this IUI doesn't work I am thinking about IVF since this IUI cost us 1,000 to do. Any thoughts about IVF.

Sassygirl: I dont mind you asking at all I had him the day I turned 24 weeks (unexplained preterm labor...no trauma, infections...etc...a perfect pregnancy not 1 day of sickness or anything thats what hurts so bad) We got preggo on the secong month of Clomid and Ovidril and just bd'ing...he passed after 26 days in the NICU! I miss him so much! When we decided a year later to try again we went to the same combo and nothing so we starter Femara then the injectables then 7 iui's etc..... I tt re's office today and they want me to come in tomorrow for a meeting before throwing in the towel so I will post after that tomorrow...

I think whatever you decide to do is fine. If you are pregnant you could test today and get positive. Instead of getting BFN you might want to wait until maybe Monday to test or to see if AF comes. I know that is hard b/c I can never wait either. I think though by waiting the extra time helps with the disappointment of getting BFN. Let me know what happens.

I did clomid on and off for 1 year nothing.  I only had 2 IUI back to back before moving to IVF.  I had surgery on Nov. 14 clean up pylops and iui in dec. and IUI in jan. Nothing.

Insurance paid a portion,
Founnd a free ferility med.  So med were free.  I had to pay a co-pay.  Only one med was not coverd that was menopour-$300.  I fianace part of the IVF.

I agree with everyone i am now on 9dpiui and the wait is crazy i am tempted to go to cvs and get a hpt 10 times a day than stop my self. I have been having bad cramps and lower back pains on top of all that i came down with a bad cold a few days ago and was forced to take tylenol cold to deal with it. does that slim my chances? Oh i forgot to mention i also have pcos so i was on Gonal F and then had the trigger shot. Had IUI in the office on 7-22 then tried at home as well that night and the next mornning as well at home. ( Doctor advised that ) anyone similar or can relate to me i would love to hear their outcome.

I did gonal for 2 months with the hcg trigger. I didn't ovulate with either month. Those were 2 really hard months for me. The dr didn't understand why I didn't ovulate since that is what the HCG trigger is for. I am not trying to discourage you b/c I have met people who did gonal and got prego. I have noticed that my allergies have been acting up. I wake up and I am all clogged and can hardly breath in the mornings. Once I start moving it subsides but I don't know if that is b/c of weather or what. I was having twingy cramps like day 4 & 5 post IUI. I am 7 days post IUI now. This last time I was on Femara day 3 thru 7 and then on day 8 & 9 i took gonal injections. I had IUI on 7/24/09. Let me know if this helps or if I just discouraged you.

Hi if you decide to take a hpt before your BT then I strongly suggest E.P.T. 5days sooner than your period, DIGITAL. That's what I used on 11 days past iui, the otheres may be too soon. Let us know please!!!

sassygirl: the acupuncturist sounded awesome, however my husband is a skeptic. they say you can do it throughout the pregnancy and it can run in conjunction to the fertility treatments. it is expensive and when i asked my doc about it today he said he doesn't think it is worth the money. he said he believes in science and nothing is proven with acupuncture...so i am back to square one because i don't know what to think!

I am doing acupuncture this cycle, I've had one treatment on my CD6 & tomorrow is my CD10 & I am having one more session right before my IUI. Allopathic Dr's typically are very skeptical of ANYTHING that is not "proven" or basically that is not ran thru the pharmasetical companies......I personally think it has to do w/the fact that there's not much $$$ involved.
I'll tell you from personal experience @ my first visit, my period had stopped, & a couple hours after my treatment & began to lightly bleed very dark DARK blood & tiny little blood clots, & I bled for about a day. I felt like it stimulated blood flow in my uterus (like it was supposed to do) & it cleaned me out!
I obviously still don't know if I'll get pregnant "because" of this, but I truly feel it is only helping me, & can't hurt me, as long as the Dr KNOWS what she is doing!

I have been doing acupuncture too. I did acupuncture back in Oct. along with IUI and got pregnant. Then had IUI in July and didn't get pregnant. SO I am back to going to the acupuncture dr. If nothing else it makes me more relaxed and handle the situation better. It is supposed to open up your uterus and get the blood flowing evenly throughout your body. I personally am staying away from the herbs though. My RE told me that some herbs can have a negative effect on fertility. I go back to RE on Sunday for lab and u/s. Hopefully there will be lots of little eggies!

ok bit the bullet and did an EPT, got a bfn, so i am just oddly late again this month. bummer. I am not sure what my RE will put me on this time around.

I love accupunture! If I could afford it all the time I would do it. I am a believer in eastern healing as well as western medicine. The least accupunture will do for you is relieve a great deal of stress pent up in your body. They work with specific trigger points to help get your organs and blood flowing. Kind of like pressure points, if you pinch between your thumb and index finger to relieve a headache... Depending on where you live cost varies, but it is best done surrounding the time you ovulate for fertility.

I had my iui one week ago today. I go 4 my progesterone test tomorrow. I never that the tww would be this bad. Af is suppose to be here by saturday. I went and bought the clear blue easy 5 day early hpt and two hpt from the dollar store. I am gonna try and take them if AF is a no show. I had my trigger a week ago monday. how long does it stay in your body? I have had light cramping my stomach feels bloated. nore sore boobs but they look full or mayb I am going crazy.

any thoughts

I am so sorry!! I was really hoping that you would get that BFP. I still have 3 days to go before my 2ww is up. I am really nervous as I have been pretty moody and no other signs. My friends keep telling me that being moody could be a sign so stay positive. It is hard though when you know it just could be the start of AF. Hopefully August will bring some joy. How many IUI's have you had? Is yours just a case of unexplained infertility? that is what mine is. Dr says he doesn't understand what the deal is. Keep us posted as to what the next plan is!!

sorry about the bfn, my hubby is the same way. He even has suggested taking a month off so he doesn't have to get the bad news.
Has my U/S today, they said lots of follicles but still have a large cyst from the clomid, and if it doesn't go away they will want to put me on birth control to try and reduce it???

today is cycle day 3, and i think I want to try the IUI again even if we cant take any hormones, has anyone tried, had success this way?what is gonal? my doc wanted to try femeral....

I went yesterday for lab and u/s. My estrogen levels went from 145 on Sun. to 750 on Tues. There are 3 follicles at 15, 16 and 18. I go in on Friday for IUI. They increased my meds dosage to 3 vials of Menopur. Normally I would only have one follicle. So I am very hopeful. Anyone else in the 2ww with me??

the trigger shot will stay in your system for 14 days....try not to test before then because you can get a false positive from the hormone (the hpt tests for the same hormone that the HCG shot gives you). counting down the days with you....can't wait! I hate the 2ww because it feels like FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

hi everyone!

i'm new here, but i'm on my second IUI with meds. i got pregnant on my own in jan. 2008, but m/c at 7 wks. my RE has me take 50 mg of clomid on days 3 - 7, inject bravelle on day 9, and hcg trigger. last month i had 3 - 4 follies, but the sperm count was 7 million after washing. from day one, i knew it was a bust.

this time was the same protocol, but this time i had 5 follies and the smallest one was 17. dh had 18 million post-wash swimmers this time. my iui was last sunday, so i'm 4 days piui. i had cramping pn the first couple of days and today i had a dull ache on my right side (close to my ovary, but not quite). now that pain is gone and i have mild cramping in the lower center like AF is going to start.

i HATE the 2ww! my husband wants this to be our last shot. i've felt positive about this time from the get-go, which is different from the last time. so i'm hoping my gut is right.

i wish lots of luck for us all to get BFPs soon!

I had my IUI done today. Everything went well. DH had 23 mil sperm which is very consistent for him. My RE was very optimistic that I will get pregnant. He said that if this doesn't work we can do a couple more IUIs before moving on to IVF. Very encouraging today! Now I sit and wait for 2ww.

Hi all. I'm new to this site. I just had IUI yesterday, 8/7. This is our 3rd IUI. 1st one didn't work. 2nd one did work, but miscarried at 6 1/2 weeks. Dr told me to take a cycle off, but took forever 4 my cycles to get back to normal. A friend suggested Accupuncture & taking B-6. I go to a "community" accupunture place & it's a sliding scale, so you pay what you can afford. B/c of that, she doesn't bill insurance. I go once/week & pay $20/visit. I loved reading all of your posts & it's so nice having other women to talk to that are going through the same thing. I'll keep you all in my thoughts.

we have an acupuncture school in our town and for a student to do it is only $25. I am going to try that for the next couple months and see what happens. I have also had friends tell me to try chiropractor. I don't know about that but maybe it would be worth a shot. I am thinking about asking my dr if I can try femara and not do iui but just try the old fashioned way since the iui's don't seem to be working.

Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. I am doing good. I just still have cramps not sure if that is normal. My RE puts me on HCG at a lower dose after the IUI for similar reasons as the progesterone. It is just 2 more shots that are much more diluted. Getting a BFP is really a thrill which makes all of this worth it. I got pregnant back in OCt. which ended in a miscarriage very early. Best 2 weeks of my life. Hope you get your BFP soon!

I am new here. I recently had my first IUI Friday 8/7.
I took Femara CD 3-7 and Follistim injections CD 7, 9 and 11. Went in for U/S on CD 12 and found that I responded really well to these meds and had 11 follicles on each ovary but only 3 that were mature. 2 on the right and one on the left. The biggest was 16mm. Went home and did HCG trigger shot at about 3am. Had IUI on Friday 8/7. I am now 4 DPIUI. I am feeling hot, bloated, cramping, my lower back is aching. I am wondering if this is normal after IUI or if it is possible I may be prego? I am in the dreaded 2WW!! Has anyone else experienced this?

I am curious about this, sorry if its tmi. I am due to ovulate this weekend and I am not on anything since I had cysts, my doc decided to postpone the femara. But, I have been feeling really, well, horny. I have been on clomid for April, may and june, and even though we have been having lots of sex, plus the IUI, I just haven't been in the "mood". I assumed it was the clomid, but who knows. Anyone had feelings like this? I am hoping my current feelings mean things are good to go for baby...

Forgot to tell you guys i found this website that has the meds cheaper if you don't have insurance IVP.Com i called them and compared the prices and they are cheaper they were just purchased by walgreens and they deliver the next day the meds free of charge unless you need it for a saturday delivery than they charge an additional $10.00. Hopes this helps as i know i am a self pay so it helps me.

I go in for my annual on Friday. I am going to talk to the dr then. I am going to see if I can do Femara or Clomid at home the next couple months without doing IUI and just try conceiving the old fashioned way. The one thing I am concerned about is that I never have more then 1 viable follicle at a time,not even with the injectibles. the injectibles didn't do anything for me. I will give everyone an update on Friday along with what happened at acupuncture. this is my first try at that.

Hi girls.  I'm new here.  I just had my first IUI yesterday so am just getting into my 2WW.

Sassygirl: I was reading your posts and just wanted to share my story in case it might help.  I had a son almost three years ago.  It wasn't simple, lots of Clomid but 150 mg and a trigger shot finally did the trick. Got me one big beautiful egg and now a darling little boy.  So here we are ready for #2.  I'm thinking Clomid will do it and we are good to go, right? Wrong. I went back to the same specialist that helped last time. We did 150 mg Clomid, nothing. Added Gonal-F, nothing.  Went straight to a higher dose of Gonal-F, starting on day 4 and tapering down. Still nothing.  Did this for five cycles and my eggs just never responded.  I have tons (PCOS) but not one would mature. His next step was IVF.  Well as with most of us my insurance does not cover a dime of that so I wanted to try other things so I got a second opinion.  My first doc was of the opinion that if they don't respond after 4-5 days on the drugs, then they are not going to.  Well the second guy I went to has a very different outlook.  He started me on Femara (and Metformin for the PCOS). I took the lowest dose of Femara - can't recall what that dosage is but it was one tablet.  Didn't do much so we upped the dosage to two tablets.  Took it for five days, had an U/S and still didn't see anything. I was getting frustrated thinking we were just spinning our wheels. Then he started me on Follistim - 50 IU for 5 days. Went in for another U/S and I still didn't see anything but he wanted me to try three more days of Follistim - at 75 IU.  So I went in that Monday fully expecting to see the same screen I've been seeig for 8 months now when low and behold, there are two eggs that are "blossoming nicely" as he put it.  So we upped to 125 IU for 2 days to give them a push. Went back for another U/S and one was pushing past the other and looked great.  Did 75IU for two more days, had ANOTHER U/S and it was perfect. He said I could not have asked for a more beautiful follicle. So I had my HCG Saturday night, IUI yesterday.  And now I wait and pray.  Not sure what your issues are but the big difference with this new guy is we NEVER counted cycle days. He said, don't worry, just keep taking the medication. Cycle days don't matter because we are controlling your cycle with the meds.  Instead of pounding them with any one medication, he got it started with the Femara which he said made one egg take the lead.  Then the Follistem just "encouraged" the one until it got big enough. Even before we could tell which one was in the lead, he just kept nudging and nudging until the one finally took off.

Sorry that was so long winded but I was absolutely hopeless in June. I had vowed to take the summer off because Clomid and Gonal F were not only expensive but tearing me up emotionally.  Not that Follistim is any easier, same thing basically but taking huge doses for a few days then stopping, taking progesterone for a period, then back on them...just lots of up and down.  So I was just seeing this new guy (who is an RE rather than OB) to get a second opinion.  When his approach turned out to be so gradual, I just went with it, honestly not thinking it would work but it did.  Granted I'm not PG yet...but this is the furthest I've been since we started trying a year ago.  I finally have a big healthy follicle and that's a start!

thanks for the update. I was told I had PCOS a long time ago but this dr thinks I was misdiagnosed. I don't have any cyst's on my ovaries. My periods have always been normal like every 28 days.I am getting follicles but even with IUI's none are taking and I can't afford IVF. Maybe if we just take some time off maybe it will just happen. good luck and keep me posted. I think I was on a 100mg of clomid so I am going to ask if we can higher the dose. I will let you know.

I had my first IUI on the 4th August. Yes the 2weeks wait is forever...and the mood swings is upsetting everyone around. I am given medrol, duphaston and progulton along iwth other vitamins and folic acid suppliments...

Starting today i feel relaly bloated and fell that funny period cramps...

The wait is on....

I am now 5dpiui and no more cramping. Thanks for everyone who is thinking of me. This was the first IUI that I had more than 1 follicle so I am very hopeful. FYI I did get preggo with 1 follicle just m/c but it can happen with just 1.

I got pregnant first time with both IUI's and first time husbands post wash count was 11 mil and second time it was 13 mil. so dont be discouraged at all. It only takes 1 sperm.

Hi. I bumped into this blog while I was researching the symptoms and questions I had regarding IUI and it has been awesome and very comforting to find ladies on my boat! Your stories have been inspirational and very informative.

I had my first round of IUI last week Wed and Thurs. According to the Dr. I produced 3 follicles and things looked great. This 2ww is a real challenge but reading how many of you have made it through comforts me.

I could not afford IVF either. My first doctor tried clomid, then Gonal-F and when neither worked, had resigned me to the fact that IVF was my only option. So I'm just saying, before you lose hope, you may want to consider a second opinion. Sometimes a doctor's opinion is just that, an opinion. A different opinion could mean a world of difference for you. And I'd definitely push to try the 150mg of Clomid. I did 3 rounds of 50 with nothing, once at 100 with nothing and 150 finally did the trick.

So I am now officially 7 dpiui...the wait is killing me. The last 2-3- days I have had waves of naseua and terrible headaches, come to find out the progesterone supps I am taking may be causing these symptoms. I was so bummed to realize this and me and the hubby were thinking I was already having preg symptoms. Today nothing I felt so fine I almost wanted to cry. Wierd that us girls on here want to feel sick from pregnancy so bad. lol.

I am also so nervous because everyone keeps telling me to not stress and my job is so stressful. On one hand it makes the time fly on the other hand I am afraid that I will stress and not get pg. UGH! If its not one thing its the next. ANY SUG???

Well I hope everyone is doing well and I am saying a prayer and keeping everyone in my thoughts. Our journeys are hard but at the end the reward will be great.

I felt the same exact way as you, finally 11dpiui, I got a early e.p.t. hpt and it finally showed pregnant, but every failed cycle I swore I was pregnant, so when I really was I was soo confused and such an emotional wreck that I missed all the real signs.

Anyway now looking back I definately know what the signs were, very strong sense of smell, sore gums, bad headaches, left side very crampy, crampy the whole time, even still,nipples, not the whole boob like when I get AF, but the nipples very sore and tingly, metal mouth and oh yeah almost forgot, extremly thirsty!!!!!! Hope this helps, and I always say if you are going to do a HPT, before your BW, i STRONGLY RECOMMENS THE E.P.T. 5 day sooner digital. Believe me I did them all and that was the earliest and most accurate!!!

3 dpiui i had dark brown spotting..and i was terrified...but my doctor just said it was ok...she never says much. May be she is used to the anxiety striken women post IUI :) its not helping at all.

Hi all. I am now 6dpiui and like everyone else, the wait it killing me. My husband suggested I wait for 1 month to take a hpt. I LOL and told him that was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. I guess they just don't understand what we go through, physically and emotionally. I keep counting the days until I can finally take a hpt. I will use chrisdaniel's advice and get the test she recommended. By the way Chrisdaniel - congrats to you. You give us all hope that it too will happen for us.

Sassygirl 35 - let me know what you thought of accupuncture. My first time I didn't like it at all, but said I'd do it because I'm wanting to try anything that might help. I've been going for a couple of months now and I actually enjoy it. It's a strange experience, and not really my thing, but I look forward to it now. Good luck with it and I just decided to just go with it and enjoy it for what it is and pray that it works.

Just got back from the Dr for having my annual done. This is the first time I Had this Dr do my pap and my gosh he is fast and it didn't hurt at all. I will have this dr do it again. He decided to put me on Metformin 500mg twice a day. He said it might help my weight since I am overweight. He said it also helps with fertility. I also asked him if I can get clomid for the next couple months and not do the iui but just have sex at home. He said he would let me do that since I have never had a problem with hyperstimulation. He just doesn't want me to do it indefinitely. He said a couple months shouldn't hurt. I have to leave here in a minute to go to acupuncture and I will let you know how that is. I have never done it so we will see.

Are you on clomid? I had terrible hot flashes when I was on clomid. But yes it is normal because of all the hormones.

I only have 1 more week to wait for my BFP! I had b/w today to check progesterone level.

I'm so sorry! I know exactly how you are feeling. I was in the same boat last month. After crying all day and wanting to kill myself. I decided to try again. Try to stay positive and think of all the wonderful things that you have in your life. I bought a puppy too which helped sooth my pain.

12dpiui....I am not on clomid. However I amon Medrol (steroid), Progyluton, Duphaston and Baby Aspirin along with vitamins.

I am very tempted to try the EPT but am not prepared to the negative result...Gosh cant believe I have turned into such a wreck. Its just 2 days and i will have my Doctors visit..so waiting (not so) patiently.

Yes after reading everyones post..i get all the courage and support and helps me with my optimism.

You made me laugh with your husband's comment... a month is an eternity! I thought i was the only one who tested right on the day my P. I'm in europe and PT's are so expensive. When i went back home i stalked up on the $ store ones so i have quite a good supply to last me for a bit. My mate tells me to wait atleast a week but he is unaware of all the tests i've taken and tears i've shed every time my P showed up.
We lost our little angel at 28 weeks and have been trying ever since but it just doesn't seem to want to come. I started on clomid this month...hot flashes, moody and from day 15 to 19 i had pretty annoying aches and pains in my ovaries.

ps. last night i dreamt i got a positive, i woke up thinking i was pregnant. Dear God, am i going nuts?!

As hard as it is, I would wait 2 more days for your dr visit. My RE won't do b/w until I call with a HPT result of BFP. I am 8dpiui so I only have 1 more week and counting. I am trying to keep myself busy so I don't think about it so much. Good luck wishing you a BFP soon!

I usually have a 26 day cycle..so hypothetically its my 28th day...my legs starting my toes all he way up aches with muscle cramps...and yes the whole period cramps...and fullness of my breasts...i want to take it all as a positive sign..yet so unsure....the mood swings are unbelievable...another 2 days ad i hope i dont get my periods...

Did everyone of you go through this..my friend says i am over reacting...and says i shouldnt try it again..But i so want to have a baby !

Never thought it will be this tough :(

Has your friend ever gone through this before? If you have never wanted a baby so bad and keep getting bad results. People just have no idea how painful it is. No you are not overreacting at all! Everyone deals with it differently. I am perfectly fine until I get my period or a BFN then I fall apart for a few days. Only you know when enough is enough. Try staying positive and you will know soon enough.

Just read through the posts tonight! First, Congrats!!! Thanks so much for posting your symptoms. I am 10 dpiui and just like most...I got a faint positive on 7dpiui, but all negatives since that time. I have been bloated and emotional, but somewhat similar to AF...The only symptom that is completely different this iui than before is sore nipples that jsut started today. I typically have sore boobs around ovulation and the week before AF, but I don't recall my nipples being this sore. It's not unbearable but it's the only part that is uncomfortable. I had given up on this month this morning...until this symptom. I'm praying I will get a BFP! I have one more HPT that I will take in the morning...and beta on Monday. Please keep me in your thoughts!
