I'm 5dipi and I feel like **** today. I never had morning sickness with my son so no idea if that is what it is.  I almost feel hung over which is a huge rip off considering I didn't get the fun of indulging to get this feeling!  I want to think that along with a few other subtle things could be a positive sign but am afraid to go there.  My husband just keeps saying "just don't think about it so much." Nice, cuz yeah, that is realistic. I have no idea how I'm going to make it another FULL week.  I'm analyzing everything wondering if it could be PG related or just an affect of the handful of pills I have to take. Sigh...

Si_di - I'm glad u also laughed at my husband.  Today I gave in & took a hpt, even tho I'm only 9dpiui.  It was bfn, but am hoping it was just too soon.  The last time I took the hpt early & also got bfn, then took another one about 4-5 days later & it was bfp.  Then I had a m/c 6 weeks later.  So I am hoping if I wait another week, maybe I'll get a bfp.   I wish the wait was easier.

So I am now 11 dpiui...I am so proud of myself that I have not taken a test...last time I  had prob taken 3 by this time. I am hoping and praying I get that BFP! :0) My hubby and friends keep telling me they have a lucky feeling this time...lol. I can test the 20th but think we are going to wait until the weekend maybe Sat or Sun. Please pray for me.

So lately I have been had a weak stomach, headaches, peeing like crazy, extremely thirsty for water, crampiness and backaches. I can't tell if they are from my period maybe starting, the progesterone supp the dr has me on or from maybe being pregnant.

I am 9dpiui today too.  Feeling a side cramp.  Hoping it is implantation.  When are you going to test?  I am thinking that I might test on Wed.  It would be 12 dpiui.  Is that too early?  We are leaving on vacation on Friday.  So I would like to know good or bad before we leave.  So by Friday I will be in a happy place again if I get another BFN.

I caved & took a hpt yesterday, at 9dpiui & it was negative.  I am going on vacation Thursday late morning & I'm thinking I'm going to take another hot on Wednesday or Thursday.  My dr. said I could test 13-14 days after iui, so that would be Thurs or Friday.  Good luck with yours, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

9 days piui is definately too early, I took tests everyday since 7 days piui, I know I 've said this soo many times, but I know how hard it is . I think by day11 if you use the digital, 5 days sooner you'll get a true result, worked for me.

Hello there....

This is my Dilemma...

It was my 14 dpiui today and i had taken a HPT yesterday and it was a BFN. Today I had my appointment with my doctor as i had spotting last night..dark brown never had this before my periods..so when i was at the doctors, she asked me to do a blood test and it was NEGATIVE....

then she did an ultra sound and found that my endometrium is really think..so told me to have my progetron till tomorrow and then stop it and wait for 4 days fo rmy periods, and repeat my pregnancy test...do i take this as a positive sign :(

I was devastated all day and now i feel a little bit better....

Anyone with similar experience....

I am totally confused.

Got my progesterone levels today.  They were an 80.  Has anyone else gotten such a high number.  When I got my BFP it was a 15 so I was shocked that it was such a high number.  I will now soon if it means a BFP or not.

hello again, I am now 2dpIUI, but with no drugs. Doc said i couldn't do any because of my cysts still being there, and i actually surged on my own so I didn't even need a trigger shot. I guess aside from the IUI its au natural. haha
Since this is my second time and i have been reading everyones blogs everyday I am paying attention to all "signs".
Sunshine; i don't know what the deal is, but until AF comes don't count anything out.

Hello, I am new to this and didn't know if anyone could help me.  I had an IUI last Wed and Thurs.  I had some cramping on my left side two days ago and have had sore breast for the past few days.  I took Gonal-F and a HCG shot to ovulate.  Are these symptoms prob. from the medicine?  Also I go tomorrow for an ultra sound and blood work, are they going to tell me anything from that?  I am very impatient and wish there was a quicker way to know!

I get to test thursday so by Friday I will know too...I am so nervous. I had such severe moodswings today it was unreal, but all the signs are pointing to my period but with the prog supp I am on the dr said I won't start either way...ugh....the damn waiting game. lol.

I was thinking the same thing!  This is the first time that I had more than one follicle.  The nurse was laughing at me because I kept saying what EIGHTY.  She said that I DEFINATELY ovulated.  I was fine until today and now it is killing me.  I am 10dpiui now so I probably will wait until Wed. or Thurs and then test a little bit early.  I will keep everyone posted!

My doctor has me do HCG shots after IUI.  I only do 2 more shots but they are a lesser dose and more diluted.  My dr said that it works in the same way as progesterone supp. but you can test Progesterone levels after IUI and get true results.

On sunday our new puppy died after one week that we had gotten him :-(
Exactly 7 months to the date of when we lost our little angel :-(( (jan.16 / aug. 16)
And if that isn't enough, i gave birth at 7.30am and our puppy died at 7.30 pm.
Another coincidence: my birthday is on the 16th of september.
Hard not to think that these are all signs of something or other but what?

I am supposed to stop the progetrone tablets today. how long does it take for AF after stopping the medication ? If AF does not come Doctor has asked me to repeat the Blood test.

haven't been on is awhile so i am getting ready to start my 3rd iui!!! i just want it to happen already, but i went today and they said everything looks good this month (no left over cysts) and he was so positive about 3rd time is a charm. so i guess his positivity is rubbing off on me. i am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Stopped the Prog suppliment yesterday..and looks like AF started this morning..but its different from the usual.  Its like dark brown discharge than bleeding...is this normal or do i have to be concerned.  My normal periods starts with bleeding straight away...Is this due to the medication...

I got my BFP today.  I am 12dpiui and I take HCG booster shots.  So I am still a little worried that it could be from the HCG shots.  But I will call the dr later today and do b/w either today or tomorrow.  So Hopefully it is good news.  I feel really hopeful but time will tell.

Dark brown is just old blood.  Actually it's good that it is coming out, it's blood that should have already been out!
But I don't think it has to do w/your meds.  This happened to me @ the very end of my period last month after an acupuncture session.  You want that yucky old stuff to get out :)

Thanks for your encouragement!  I called the dr.  They said wait until Friday and take a HPT again.  Then they will do a Beta.  So we can go to Dr. office on our way out of town.  I agree with you though (I am preggo!).  The nurse said that HCG can stay in your system for 11 days.  But last time I was pregnant I tested 13 dpiui and today is only 12 dpiui.  Oh well, I guess I have to wait 2 more days.

I have had four iui's.  I was successful in january of this year and was pregnant with a baby girl.  At month five, I lost the baby and was devastated and it is difficult to talk about.  I am 42 years old and my husband and I have decided to try again.  

I am 13 days past iui.  For the first three iui's earlier this year, my largest shot of gonal F was only 150, I believe and always produced only one mature follicle.  This time, with no coverage at all, even though my initial FSH was 8, they had me increase to 450 during the last few days...Needless to say, it was extremely expensive as you all know.

Well, I took a hpt just now and it was negative.  My blood test is on Friday...no point in even going.  

I was wondering, besides serono, is there any other drug company that has any assistance programs available?  

I feel so sad right now.

How long does it take to get the normal periods. Doctor told me to take this cycle easy..and has asked me to go on concraceptive pills starting 22nd Aug.  We will try the 2nd IUI in October I guess.

I was dipressed..but I guess waited for this long another month wont hurt .

Just got my BFN...so depressed and hurt. Won't be doing anymore fertility prob the rest of my life. I just feel like I failed...worst part is my sisterinlaw had her baby yesterday he is such a doll. So hard to see that perfect lil baby and get up this morning to that horrific news. I just don't understand what is happening in my body and why I can't get pregnant. I feel as a women I have failed. I have never felt this down in my entire life.

Did the whole praying thing to god last night the usual that I know I was menat to go thru this and to just help me thru if I am negative...the whole nine yards. I promised myself I wouldn't get this way and now I am falling apart.

Has anyone on here ever tested on Day 14 after gonal f shots, ovidrel and prog supp and gotten a BFN and then tested days later and got a BFP??? I know its a long shot but trying to keep the faith that just maybe it was a false negative??? Who the heck knows. I don't want to take those progesterone pills anymore if I shoudln't??? My hubby is worried that maybe it was a false negative and I should continue and then test again this weekend? ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS???

I will make a dr appt once my AFstart sand see if I can go on clomid and use progesterone cream instead of progerstone supp. maybe something less evasive will help?

I am so sorry for you.  However I saw on your profile that you are only 28.  You are still young (which I am sure you hate people saying!) but even if you are running out of money.  You could take a year or so off and save some money to try again.  I didn't start trying until I was 29 and now I am 33.  In my case, I was thinking for me that I would like a baby before 35 but if not I would be able to up until about 40.  I took about 9 months off which really helped me alot too.  Good luck to you.

I know how frustrating this is!!! I just did my first IUI treatement this month and I too got my BFN. I was certain it took! Now I'm dealing with 4 cysts and no baby! My hubby and I have been trying for almost 3 years now. I too feel like a failure, but we have to plow through this to get what we want, a baby. As sagebrush said, you have plenty of time to take time off and start again! I am also 33 and all my family and friends are popping babies left and right and that doesn't help!!! But we need to keep our heads up and stay focused and positive!!!!

ita17: I am going to Loma Linda Fertility clinic.  They are awesome there.  I had 3 iuis done there and pregnant with 2 of them.  But miscarried on the one.  I had my b/w done today and I got my BFP.  It was even free of charge that was almost as good as the BFP.  My HCG level was 237 compared to 49 when I m/c.  So everything looks really good.  Dr. said to repeat HCG test on Wed. just because of my history of the m/c.  Then in 2 weeks I go to my gyn. for an ultasound.  Keep the faith ladies!  Miracles really do happen.

All: Okay had 2 +'s opk's bd'd those days skipped one day and then bd the next day and the day after that! so prayerfully our bases were covered I took a progestrone test just to have a gage on where I am the day I had the + opk and it was 3.2 normally if I used the trigger shot I would not test until 7 days later so if I o'd 24 -48 hours after my first + opk I still have a few more days before I would have taken a test for progestrone that would be accurate I am just going to leave it be and enjoy my week off from work. My re wont test because I was med free this cycle and they say just watch for signs and symptoms but since I work here (at the hospital) I have access to the lab but I wont be around to test since my last day at work is today before my well needed week off...So I guess I am in the 2ww (naturally). is anyone on anti depressants? I am on zoloft and my doctor is adding wellbutrin. This is my GP and she says they are both fine to be on when i get pregnant. My RE says I should try to be on nothing, but my depression is just awful so i can't think of that right now. Hello all, I am new to this and have gone back and forth about joining something like this, I was afraid I would become even more obsessed. History...I have had 4 iui, before this last one my doctor did a laprascopic procedure and found a little bit of endometriosis (sp?). I since had my 4th iui and I am 12 days piui. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back positive but when I called doctor, they said not to test until day 14-16 due to HCG from shot. Is there anyone who has had a BFP on day 11 when not???

I would think that it would be a solid positive.  It all depends on the amount of the shot.  If it was a low dose chances are it was out of your system by the 10th day.  Of course it wouldn't hurt to test again, or even wait for a blood test to be sure.  Keeping my fingers crossed that your indeed pregnant!  Sending baby dust your way.  :)

I am currently on zoloft and my doctor said it was fine to TTC on it.  I am not trying right now and hope to be off of it before I try again. I am also on Xanax....can not take that while TTC !!! Wellbutrin...don't know? Depression and anxiety are like a catch 22 when TTC...

I did a HPT on 12piui and got positive.  My dr said same thing that it was too early.  I took a blood pregnancy test 14dpiui and got a positive.  I am pregnant.  So it sounds like you probably are pregnant too.  I am waiting for my 2nd preg. test results to see if my HCG levels are rising.  I will post them later.

My HCG level is at 1297 now!  Baby is doing great.  I made my first OB dr. appt for Sept.16th.  They will do an u/s that day.  Can't wait!  The only thing that stinks is my gyn/ob dr. retired.  Oh also found out that my RE office lowered their prices by $200.  Maybe your RE offices will do the same for you girls!

i went to get the u/s done to see the follicle sizes and she have 3 mature follicles on my left side!!! i have never produced more than one on my left so i am keeping my hopes up that this is 3rd month and i have the 3 follicles all on my "good side." (my right tube is blocked)  still not getting my hopes up to much but it was definitly uplifting to hear today!!!
does anyone know of someone who had success with iui?

I am driving myself more batty as the days go on...today i completely feel like flo is coming. i am 8dpiui and i am crampy, headache, boobs are sore, back ache...all the signs of ms. flo making her entrance...hope not and fingers will be still crossed!

I took another pregnancy test yesterday and it still showed positive. I am now 14 days piui and no sign of AF. I will call the doctor tomorrow and see if I can get the blood work. I am soo sorry to hear that your molar pregnancy turned into cancer.  I talked to you a while back as I also had a molar pregnancy but everything turned out fine in the end for me.  I now have an 11 week old baby girl so it does all work out in the end I promise and I am praying your dream will come true.

I just had my 1st iui on mon and tues this week.  I was wondering if anyone got pregnant from 3 follicles at 19, 18 & 17cm?  And my husband has low motility at 3-4% after freezing it.  Has anyone gone through this with these numbers?

Kisstin: Congrats on your baby girl!  I am thinking that there is more than one too.  My dr. said that there is a small chance for 3 but a pretty good chance for twins.  It's funny how 4 years ago when I started this journey, the thought of twins scared me to death.  But now I am hoping for twins so I can be done with all of this fertility ****.

jellybean26: My HCG level on 14dpiui was 237.  My dr. said that they want 150 or higher and start thinking that its multiples if #s are 500 or higher.  Then HCG levels are supposed to double every 2-3 days.  So my levels went up to 1297 by 19dpiui.  Hope this helps!

I am 9 dpiui and when I had my progesterone checked on the 25th it was 8.11.  The nurse feels it's a good number, but I heard that anything under 10 is bad?  Anyone have any data on the numbers?  I'm suppose to wait until the 1st for the hpt, but I'm anxious.

So she called back and said that was fine he needs to see you on day 10 that would be tomorrow so she talked to him and he said to come in on Thursday which was yesterday, so he did a u/s and i had 6 follicles on my right side and 4 on my left the largest on my right was at 12 and he said i would probably ovulate in the next week said have sex the next 7 to 10 days. we are going to try on our own this month. i think clomid does just the oppisite on me it taked me longer to ovulate when on clomid thats why i did not want to take it this month so we will see what happens, we said thats pretty good numbers for not being on clomid and my age,

Hopesmommytobe: Don't stress. The worst thing you could do right now is stress. They say implantation does not start till day 10... Soooo .... if baby hasn't implanted yet, there would not be any symptoms. I know the feeling though. I am 3dpiui. I want symptoms so bad, but I know its to early yet. Most I have gotten was what seemed like AF cramps the day after that lasted about 3 minutes and then disappeared. RE says I probably ovulated, but I was really supposed to ovulate 4 hrs after IUI, but she says its still okay because frozen spermies can live 48-72 hrs. Just try to keep your hopes up... I know it sounds crazy but go to youtube and type in... the secret. It will say 1st 20 minutes of The Secret. Its a documentary...It teaches you to ... ask, believe, receive. You can have anything you want or be anything you want as long as you BELIEVE it. So every day I thank God for this little miracle that is growing inside my belly even if I do not have a BFP as proof... I have to believe it. This way I can receive it. (Do I sound crazy yet? lol) But I wish you the best of luck. BABY DUST TO YOU!!!! BFP's are on their way.....

All: no signs of pg cd 31 temp went from 97.7 to 98.1 today but again no signs of af or bfp I have not gotten my hope us because my cycles run any where from 28-49 days!

Hello all,
I know its been such a long time since my last post.
Well in about April I found out that I had produced two follies which was great for me, when in for my IUI, had my 2WW and every possible symptom of being PG, made it all the way to having blood work and no AF then that day found out again I had a BFN. So yeah I was crushed went through a time of being very angry bitter frustrated ect. I decided to give all the shots, RE apts a rest. Oh yeah and did I mention I had a cancer scare...but thank God all is ok there I just have to repeat my papsmears every four months.
So now the hubby and I are trying on our own. We are both taking fertility blend been on it for alittle over a month. AF actually came on her own w/out the help of any drugs and that hasnt happened in the last 11yrs. For the first time I was actually happy to see that AF came thinking maybe I have hope of conceiving on my own. B/C I have PCOS I struggle with ovulating and I think I actually ovualted on my own this month. I have been charting my temps through fertilityfriend.com and seems I ovulated on Sunday.  My temps have been all over the place so my dh and I have just been covering all bases with lots of baby dancing :) I am going to RE on Tues to have BW done to check my thyroid since my temp seem to be all over the place. I pray that the natural way will work for us. All the meds are just so expensive and bc neither of our insuraces cover meds or vistits it all comes out of pocket. Wish us luck. I guess like you bfromthed we are in the 2ww naturally as well :)

It's been 5 dpiui and I had cramps on the 2 and 3 day but nothing now.  Does that mean anything?  My doctor doesn't need me to come in and do my blood until 14 dpiui.  I've been reading from everyone else that you are finding out what your levels are before and that is helping you to know something sooner than later.  Should I see my doctor sooner?

taetaye/ALL: So good to hear from you...We are doing the same thing and if you look at my o chart my temps are crazy 97.7 for about 3 days then 98.3 then 98.5 today I did not start temping until after + opk though :(   I have no signs of bfp or af yet so I dont know what to say/think...I dont get excited because I know my cycles have ran close to 50 days before and I too have pcos had a + opk on our own this month non-medicated..so no u/s by re's office I did have my progesterone checked on my own 5 days after the + opk and it was 13.2 let the re's office know and they said I did o and thats a great # for non medicated...Keep me posted :)

Jellybean: If you used and ovulation drugs they wont do anything until 14dpiui because it takes about 10 days to get it out of your system so it will show or can show a false + anytime before then and depending on the dosage it may be up to 14 days ...good luck and keep us posted!

well i am officially in the 2ww again! went for the 3rd iui yesterday and now we are just waiting. my dh's sperm was down to 66 million (which was only 33 million post wash) that ***** so i don't know what to think today. hoping it works out this month!
not to mention my dh called yesterday on the way home and said we are going to have twins...he was in the car and he got this weird thought and he saw us sitting on the couch with twin girls!!! how wierd is that because i had 3 follicles this month....hope it works!

I got pregnant and my dh sperm was 24 mil. after wash.  My RE said 5 mil. is a good # and anything above that is great! Remember it only takes 1 sperm.  

All: I am doing great about 5-6 weeks preg. now.  I am telling my parents and brothers today.  I feel good just sooo tired.  I am enjoying taking naps during the day and not feeling guilty about it.  Wishing everyone a BFP!

Hello everyone! I had a D&C on 06.03.2009 to remove some polyps. Is it true that women seem to have a better chance at conception after a D&C? Anyone with some experiences they would like to share? I lost a pregnancy about 3 years ago after an IUI and was supposed to go back to the RE so he can make sure all the bad stuff came out the way it was supposed to... but I was to devastated and never went. I guess this could have caused the polyps. But anyone get pregnant with an IUI after a D&C? I am a lesbian so I obviously have not had sexual intercourse after the D&C. I had the D&C 06.03.2009 and my IUI on 08.26.2009. Tell me what you gals think. !!   :O)

I have had IUI before in the past & i wouldn’t of thought you would get any symptoms till your due your monthly 2 weeks after your IUI, but there again we are all different and a sit back and wait game am afraid.

I was looking online but it seems most people had a D&C Due to a lost pregnancy. I had a D&C 3 years after losing my angel/angel's. Due to polyps... so Im not sure if there is much difference...? I wonder if I am just losing my mind.... I have been having to go potty much more often then not. I think I have a bladder infection, but I started 100mg of progesterone yesterday and when i inserted the medication and went to the bathroom a few hrs later (maybe sooner with how things have been going now) there was no burn... ahhhhh...... like a breath of fresh air! Today just a small sting when I go potty, nothing majorly painful like before. But still... I have went pee at least 7 times today... and only have drank a bottle of water... I am only 4dpiui, and I think it is to early... BUT... **drumroll please** I read that the uterus starts to grow immediately to support the baby... IMMEDIATELY... which causes you frequent urination.Also... yesterday I was hot to the touch, and had  headache. So Im thinking maybe im coming down with the flu, or some kind of bug (which scared me thinking it was going to mess up my chances of BFP) But then it went away... Again....**drum roll please** Online it says about the lutheal (sp?) phase and how you will become very warm which serves as an incubator for the baby.....    ???   4dpiui... is it really to soon to tell... or... are we just not looking hard enough? LMAO. HELPPPP!

Hi everyone, I'm13dpiui and I'm trying to keep it together. I have had some cramping, sore nipples(eww I know), a little bit of sore stomatch at night. I have no idea what to expect this is my first iui and i used clomid day 5-9 and hcg booster day before iui and 6 days post iui. I'm taking a total of 800mgs of prometruim a day. I feel like maybe the meds are the reason why i feel all these symptoms but I also have held hope that it might have worked. Yes my DR did a whole bunch of bw my first visit they took 13 vials of bllod from me i have what they call MTHFR LOOK IT UP.  They found out that i was getting pregnant just loosing it b4 i would know that also showed up in the bw

I did two iui back to back because my doctor said it would raise my chances.  My husband's sperm has low motility and low volume due to cancer.  He is alright now and we wanted to do anything that would increase our chances.  I am 8 dpiui.  So I am anxiously waiting until I can take a hpt.  I also am on progesterone sup 200mg a night.

So I think it couldn't hurt to do a 2nd iui and they usually give you a big discount.  Let us know what you do.

Thanks for your thoughts. Well I'm 14 dpiui and I'm dying to test! My dh wants to run and get one but I dont want to jinks us. I have a lot of simple symptoms but I'm just not sure. So I just got back from the dr and the dr suggested another lapor. surgery this time to remove the endo. Then he would like us to follow-up with clomid or superovulation. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I just had my 1st lapor. done in April. Pretty bummed to have to go thru this again! If it helps I am willing to try...what do you girls think? Our thoughts are to wait it out a few months until December, then if nothing then go forward with the surgery and fertility.

Also, for now I am using the Wild Yam Cream, Vitamin B6, Baby Aspirin and Prenatals. Has anyone heard of success off of this combo? I have a friend who got pregnant this way but she was also on clomid.

Well...here it is 14dpiui and flo arrived. I am just beside myself, trying to stay positive, But it is such a disappointment. I thought I had all the right symptoms...but they were just all of my period symptoms. I really had hopes this would be the month! I need to call my doctor's office tomorrow and let them know my day 1 start day...and I think I will try the clomid again next month...perhaps another iui. I just don't know. I am starting to feel hopeless.

I'm so sorry the IUI didn't work this month.  Try to stay positive, I know it's hard sometimes.  My last IUI was on 8/7 & I really felt optimistic.  AF came on 8/21 and I was so disappointed.  I am getting ready to do another IUI on 9/6, so I'm hoping this time it will work.  My 2nd one I did get pregnant, but had a m/c about 6 weeks along.  I started doing accupuncture every week and taking B-6 and Folic Acid.  A friend did the same thing and it worked for her, so I'm hoping it will for me too.  I will keep you in my thoughts - try to stay positive and baby dust to you!

I went to the doctor and they did a blood test, it showed pregnant with a number of 191. I have no idea what numbers mean, I asked the nurse and she said anything over 20 is a positive. I had one mc in the past and don't know if my current numbers are low or high. My history is I got pregnant 5 years ago while on the pill (beautiful 4 year old little girl), my husband and I started trying 2 years ago (thought it would be so easy due to my 1st pregnancy) but nothing. Went to fertility doctor in March (unexplained infertility), 4 IUIs and 1 laprascopic procedure and I got a positive last week. My husband and I are hesitant to even acknowledge anything because of the past disappointment. Any info on numbers would help!!! Thanks!

I am new to this forum and was wondering if there are any moms to be in their 40's.  I am 44 and TTC our 2nd child.  I had a m/c last year.  I am on my 2ww (10 past iui) after doing our 5th iui and I am starting to get a little depressed that this may not work again as I have no symptoms.  My dr told me that due to my age that the odds are against me. I just thought i'd check in. I am CD23 experiencing cramps, back pains, and sore boobs, would be great if I thought this was bc I am about to get a BFP but I think it's actually b/c AF is about to come which I guess is good because it would mean my cylces are regulating. I went to RE yest for BW to check my thyroid bc my temp have been extremely low so I doubt I ovulated this month the highest my temp got was 97.5 no good :( So DH and I will try again this month on our own and hopefully the Fertility Blend will work for us. I will be using the first response monitor this month to track to see exactly when i ovulate. I didn't use it last month b/c AF is usually never consitant so hopefully this month I will be on a 28 day cycle.

I keep reading everyone's posts over and over again.  It's like I'm trying to figure out if I'm pregnant or not based on everyone's experience.

I am 10 dpiui now and starting to go crazy.  My emotions are all weird.  I never get mood swings when I have my period, so this is weird to me.  I cry at anything emotional, which is so not like me.  Could this be from the progesterone sup?

My BFP took a turn for the worst yesterday and it turned out to be an Ectopic Pregnancy and the beta numbers are going down again. I cried my eyes out when the RE told me and now   i am so lost no way that i can afford it again this month so i am taking the time off to regroup(hopefully).

Day 10 I was negative. Day 13, I was positive.

For me symptoms weren't what I thought pregnancy would feel like.

I honestly felt like my period was coming on--muscle aches, back ache from hell, "heavy" feeling, slightly crampy, tired. But that's how I feel when my period is coming.

Hi..yesterday the opt showed a faint line in the test window...but the directions say that it has to be the same color or darker than the control window...i am on day 20...I wonder if I am not going to ovulate...this is my first time on clomid.  I just cant afford to do the shots anymore.

There is no way you can test at 6 dpiui.  Implantation probably didnt even occur by then.  You should wait 14 dpiui.  Keep yourself busy until then.

I will give you some more hope.  IUI does work.  I got pregnant the first time with both my IUI's and have 2 daughters.  I think I had 3 follies with the first daughter and 2 with the second.  I used Follistim.  If you have any questions let me know.  Good luck.

Had my IUI 2 days ago, after ectopic, losing my left tube and another miscc on 8weeks year later -  its now anothr year later - had 2 nice  follicles but on left side, only one on right - trust God for my little miracle and that if I am pregnant - it will last and I will have healthy baby - waiting is killing me though  :|

totally don't know what to do....
i am now 13 dpiui and by boobs are KILLING me. usually it is just my nipples but now it is my entire boob. plus i just don't feel like myself....i don't know how else to say it. i feel somewhat lightheaded and a little queasy. this is since yesterday and i don't know what to do because i can't test until at least sunday because of the booster shot.
has these symptoms happened to anyone? let me know.

If you had an HCG trigger shot to ovulate and/or a booster, you will experience many of the symptoms of pregnancy.  Unfortunately, there is no way to know if you really are pregnant until you test at 14 dpo or get AF.  

Last month I had the perfect cycle of 4-5 ovulations on Follistim, all numbers were perfect, post-coital perfect, etc. and I had all the symptoms of pregnancy.  My RE had me very worried about multiples.

I tested starting on day 9 with faint positive.  I continued to get faint positives until the HCG was out of my system on day 14 and I got AF on day 15 (just like I always do).  I spent $50 on tests I didn't need.  I will never do that to myself again.  

Two months before, on my first cycle of Clomid (for the FSH test, not treatment).  My post-coital was horrible and I started spotting 7 dpo.  My doctor basically said there was no way I was pregnant, but I was!  I had very low HCG numbers (59 on day 14) and then 5 days later prog. dropped to 5.  It was a blighted ovum and I miscarried at 6 weeks.  Bummer but at least I got pregnant, without even really trying that month!

Moral of the story - everything can be perfect and you can get a BFN and everything can me a mess and you can get a BFP.  Your body (and the science of fertility) is very strange and unpredictable.  Every month is different and we really drive ourselves insane with worry - proving we'll all be good moms one day!

Four days ago I had my first IUI.  My RE says I don't need it but we have to do three before insur. covers IVF and I'm 36 so the clock is a tickin.  I'm waiting until day 14 (if I can stand it) and saving the cash and heartache.  Getting really tired of the rollercoaster, you know?

Just try to hold out until day 14 and good luck to everyone!!!

Just wanted to reassure you all that IUI's do work. I have 3 beautiful children 2 boys - 4 & 3 and a girl who is 13 months old.  And I am now on the 2ww.....I can say the wait does not get any easier.......I had an IUI on 31/09/2009. Did a hpt 10 days later and it was negative. Just wondering if it was to early? Still hoping for a positive.

ok so last night i took a pregnancy test and it came back......POSITIVE!!!! i don't know if it is my hcg shot talking or it is real. i took my booster shot (only 5,000 units) 7 days ago and i read for every 1,000 units it takes about a day to leave your system. hence everyone that takes the trigger shot (mine was 14 days ago) can't test for 10 days because it is 10,000 units. i don't know what to think and i don't want to get my hopes up.....but i have NEVER seen those words on the test. let me know what you think.

Well day 14 was yesterday and so was my period. 1 more chance, then I have 3 sessions of IVF. not sure how i feel today, but yesterday was horrendous on the train to work i started crying, the public of london underground are not very thoughtfull and gave me a wide birth. any suggestions to diet or anything you guys think might help would be much appreciated. good luck to you all

You are SO pregnant!  My RE made me wait 14dpiui and I had 2 HCG booster shots.  Now I will be 7 weeks this Sunday.  My 1st prenatal dr. visit is on Wed.  Congrats and call the dr. so you can get your confirmation soon!

I just found this group and it is so inspiring to be around other women in my situation.

Both my DH and I have children from other relationships however we have none together.  I did timed intercourse with clomid and purgeon for about 7 months then had a laparocopy in Feb.  They found nothing but some light endo, a small cyst, and my left ovary and tube were pushed up (probably from my emergence c-sec) outside of that nothing.  We tried natural after that since apparently after a lap it is easier to concieve... nothing!

We just found a new doctor and have just had our first IUI.  I was on letrozol and purgeon.  I had 5 folis..  3 on the left and 2 on the right all over 1.8 the biggest 2 were 2.0.  (I responded so well).  my husband has great sperm count and mobility over 66 million.  My doctor said it was an amaxing cycle..... That being said I am a MESS!!!

I am hoping for the best, trying to be positive but doubts creep in every once and a while.  I am just so glad I found this site!

I am new to infertility treatment and just had my first iui. I was supposed to start tx last month but had a cyst. Tomorrow morning I will be 2 dpiui. I have been having weird sensations in my belly since the iui. I did have clomid and a hcg trigger shot. I have been depressed in the past couple of months as I didnt have any support in how I was feeling regarding not being able to get prego. I feel better this month. I have at least 1 mature follicle hopefully 2. Has anyone else have any sensations?

update....i have taken a pregnancy test for the last 3 days and they all say POSITIVE! i know i am pregnant because i have never had any of these things happen to me before (stomach feels like it is streching, lower back pain, sore boobs, queasy) however, yesterday i had a little light spotting and same with today. it was very light and today i am due to get my period, so i was wondering if anyone had spotting with a successful pregnancy?

CONGRATS ON YOUR BFP!! I recently for a BFP on 09.09.2009. I also had spotting. My HCG levels steadily rose the way the doc likes em to. I have an ultrasound on 09.25.2009. So far so WONDERFUL. Good luck to you! Dont worry about the spotting. It just means the baby is nice and snug in your lining. If it becomes heavy bleeding then thats something to worry about. Im so happy for you!!

With my daughter I had light spotting in the first trimester and it was nothing.  Just keep your feet up and take it easy... Hopefully it will pass.
My Dr at the time told me to take half a baby asprin?  However before you go and do that talk to your DR... Every preganancy is different.

I knew you were preggo! YEAH!  Light spotting is normal it can be your body getting rid of old blood.  Look out for bright red blood.  I also had really yucky smelling blood with my m/c.  But there was also a ton of blood.  It went from light bleeding to tons of  blood within a day for me.  Just try to relax and sleep a lot!  Congrats!  Did you have blood work done yet?

Hi,  I am also in the 40's club.  Had 4 iui's Since last october...got pregnant with a girl and lost the baby just before 5 months....I do have a gorgeous 5 year old boy though.  My funds are exhausted so I am doing my second round of clomid as soon as my period starts...hopefully it wont.

Bfromthed: I just went in for a clomid check up yesterday to ck my ovaries...they are going to increase my dose this time, start on the third day instead of the 5th as I ovulate late too.  Not sure if I ovulated last week...anyway, if I dont show pos on my opk by a certain date, they are going to do an ultrasound and then give me a trigger shot if my follicles are mature.  THis is all new to me as I have always done the gonal F shots...I kinda went backwards...but i just cant afford the cost anymore.  Oh, and thanks for the advice on the digital test...i will pick those ones up this time...its it clearvue?

Good luck to you we are not going to do the u/s this cycle I am just using the opk's, basal temp then when we get a positive we will do the Ovidril and bd that night and for 2 days after that and prayerfully it will work (this is how I got bfp the first time). We cant afford the cost of the u/s this time. and the test are Clearblue Easy digital. I accidentally bought the non-digital and one line looks like the next so I dont like them its too confusing. and I took the first one on cd 11 just as a trial and I cant tell the difference. With the digital a blank circle means no and a smiling face means yes very easy to read. Keep me posted as I will do the same for you... Good luck to us all.

ok so IUI #3 is complete and off i go on the train. today is d1piui. The end of my tww will be my 38th birthday, so it will either be a great birthday, or i am going to have some cocktails!
DH count after washing was 110 mil but only 63% motility. I am wondering if that is our issue? Doc says one more IUI and we should consider moving on to IVF if this one doesn't take. The cost being 15000. omg, i can't believe that number. i guess I've heard it for a while but have been hoping to get this done with the IUI process. Anyone else have more than 4 IUI's? i tried clomid and got cysts, this time i did femara, had 2 follies. so we'll see.

Yeah, hang in there.  I used Femara and had 2 follicles on one side one time and one follicle on each side one time with no success.  I have been trying for 9 months and am just about finished financially.  I just finished injections and am praying for a miracle!!  Hoping the best of luck to everyone!

I had a positive on OPK today. we did bd on Sunday and if we bd today that should cover it. Has anyone that was just on clomid and bd at home did they suffer from any vaginal dryness? I know that is kind of a personal question but that is my problem. I did research on line and Clomid is known for that so they say that pre-seed is a good thing to use while just taking clomid. Has anyone ever done this? we used it on Sunday and we will use it again tonight. Pre-seed is suppose to be good for the fact that it doesn't harm sperm in any way and they can swim through it with no problem. Any advice would help.

I have one more question: I had a negative on OPK yesterday at 12:30 pm and when I tested today at 10:30 am it was positive so is it possible it got positive yesterday at any time after I tested or is is safe to say it probably went positive this morning. I am just so scared I will miss that window since we aren't having any monitoring. Please need advice.

well i think i am out this month....i spotted heavily yesterday and a little today. it was heavier than spotting but lighter than a period, so now i go to the doc on thursday for bw. we will see what happens but all of my symptoms went away. this *****....i knew this was the month....devastating :(

I am so sorry for your loss!  I m/c last Nov.  Now I am 7 wks preg. so miracles really do happen.  It took 5 IUIs and the last one I told the Dr. that this was it, I could not handle this emotionally any longer.  So he increased my meds to try to increase my # of follicles.  It worked so keep the faith.  I go to the dr. tomorrow for my first prenatal appt.  Good luck.  I am thinking of you!

Hi, I am on clomid too and the doctor told me to expect dryness...which really wasnt as bad as she said...but she told me not to use preseed...I asked about robitussin and the nurse said that a lot of patients uses it.  It increases cervical mucous.  My doc also said that they recommend an iui while doing clomid because it does dry you out thus creating "hostile cervical mucous.

okay so i went back to my RE and i was put on 125 units of follistim. i go back friday to see how it's working. has anybody else used follistim? i was told i'll be using follistim and then progestrone inserts and finally ovidrel before my next iui. my RE recommended to go straight to IVF but i opted to try to an iui again. i'd hate to spend $7k on it, i was just happy that my insurance so far has been paying for my scans, follistim, clomid and ovidrel. thank god!

We did 150 mg of clomid starting cd 3 for 5 days I had 2 - opk's I started yesterday so I am just waiting on the + to trigger and bd that night and the next 2 nights. This worked for us 2 years ago on the same dosage on the 2nd try so hopefully we will get there again. Everything is so expensive but we are not ready to throw in the towel...keep me posted!

Yes we did 7iui's and no luck so we are back to where we started. Don't let that discourage you though lots of women have did it 1 time with Success like Kisstin both of her girls are through iui and she had success on try #1 with both of them. Keep us posted and good luck!

How come the Dr told you not to use pre-seed?  the research I have done says it's good because it doesn't hurt the sperm. I asked a pharmacist as well and she said it is really good to use with clomid.

I was on only 50 a day...now they put me on 100 when my af starts....wondering why they put me on  such a low dose compared to your 150...i know everyone is different but it took me a while to respond to my last series of shots before i went to the clomid.  I just feel like i am going backwards...

I dont know...but I asked her when I first started because it was a concern...she said that to avoid all lubes...then i asked her about the preseed because I researched about it...and she said to avoid that one too.  Again, they want me to do an iui with the clomid because of the quality of the cm.

did you ask your doctor about it?  also ask about the robitussin....Its weird how we all get different advice depending on you you ask, eh?

Can some of the girls who have done iui with a positive result describe how you felt the days after your iui? Cramping? Discharge (TMI probably but...)? Weird feelings in your belly? Boob/Nipple sensitivity?

I took clomid and had 4 good size follicles and did trigger shot last Friday...how long does that medicine stay in you system??

A positive is a positive!  Be happy and enjoy every moment.  The main thing is that your numbers should double every 2-3 days.  My m/c HCG levels were 49 and went up to 92 so they never doubled.  Good luck!

Today was my first OB dr. appt.  We saw the little monkey and saw the heart beat and umbilical cord with blood flowing through it.  It was truly amazing and worth everything I went through to get to this point.  I am measuring at 8 weeks.  Don't lose the faith girls your time will come. Reading all of your post is really inspiring to me.

I am 30, DH 31- we have been TTC for more than 4 years with 4 MC.   I have completed 4 rounds of Clomid with IUI all failed.  This past June, I had a BFP natural with no drugs but I had a MC in July, so that makes 5 MCs.  

I stated TTC again and have been on Follistim 75MG.  I had my IUI on Monday so I am now 3dpiui, I honestly do not think that it worked this time because DH count was very low and I only had one mature egg. Is this possible, I thought Follistim was suppose to make you have more eggs.

I want to stay positive but after so many tries, I almost feel like giving up hope.  I am going to the doctor on Monday to have my Prog tested.  

I am so happy I found this support site; this whole thing is driving me crazy.

I'm 33 (I'll be 34 on 9/30) my dh is 41, we've been ttc for about 3yrs. This is our 1st cycle trying the clomid w/ovidrel. Y/day went to RE's ofc for cd12 u/s found out I have 2 large follies on each side. I gave myself the ovidrel shot lastnite at 10pm and we're scheduled for our 1st IUI in the morning.

welcome!  I have had 4 iuis with gonal f (same as follistim) and have only had one follicle for the first three (got pregnant....but miscarried at 4 months)...and the last time i did the shots was with follistim and I was up to 450 units/day only to get two.  I really dont understand why some people respond so easily with 3 or 4 on each side...but it is possible to get pregnant with one...so dont worry about it.  

right now I am doing the clomid because my funds are exhausted.  I just turned 43...and I have a 5 year old son that  i had no difficulty conceiving on my own.

Welcome...I had a successful iui in January and there was no mistaking my symptoms.  The most prominent one I noticed was stomach cramps that went on for days...like af cramps.  When I get my af, I will have mild cramping for a day, but this was consitent cramping like everyday for a while.  My breasts were a little sore too but the cramping was what I remembered the most.

This is my first post. I had my first IUI on September 8 and the second one Sept. 10.

My trigger shot was on the Monday prior my IUI.

I am very nervous at the moment. When do you think I can perform a pregnancy test?

BTW  I am 28, DH is 34. We´ve been ttc for 6 months now but we moved this soon to IUI because my doctor discovered I don´t ovulate on my own at all. This is my 3rd cycle with medicines. First 2 cycles I used 100mg of clomid plus trigger shot and didn´t ovulate. This cycle the doctor gave me 100 mg of clomid plus inyectables and got 2 mature follies, so we are hoping we did ovulate. I am so hoping we get pregnant with IUI because my doctor told me that after 3 failed IUI we need to move to IVF.
