I'm a brand new member, and happy to see so many others in my same situation. I am not sure how I got to this site. All I know I was searching for info infertility in the web.
I have been leaving in sadness. I finnaly find comfort to night, after I read mamy of this comments. I realise I am not alone, strenght has filled my heart. I see many of you got good result after this trial. I believe God is working this path with me, to make me a better person.Lest all of us pray for each orther.

Anyone testing this week? I am testing on Saturday. I have my doubts though. i have had no symptoms at all of any sort. My DH tells me to relax that I am not supposed to feel anything yet (lol.. what does he know).

sunnyskies- I am with ya. I am not sure when the symptoms are supposed to start but I feel Nada. I had my IUI's done on Aug. 1st and 2nd. It has been a looonnggg 2ww but i am finally almost to the end. I am really hoping for a positive. If it didnt work this time, i dont know what the next step is. Can't afford to do anything else. My dh will not talk about what we will do if this doesn't work. He says we will deal with that if it happens but for now think positive. I am having a hard time with that but I guess i will find out soon.

Anyone on here that did get a BFP and can shed some light on any symptoms they might have had prior to testing?

Mary - Yep, I've been thinking about testing this weekend but it won't be quite 2 weeks for me so not quite sure if I want to work myself up. DON'T WORRY about not having symptoms. Just think of how many women are completely suprrised by their pregnancies b/c they feel nothing. Not having symptoms is not necessarily a sign. I forget, was this an injectable cycle for you? Have you considered acupuncture and herbs? It's not cheap but certainly not as expensive as IVF obviously so it might be a good option for you to consider. I really like it. Your dh likely just wants to you to positively focus on things now and not overly stress yourself with the "what ifs". There are a million possibilities if you start going down the road of "what ifs" so just don't go there!

For all of you ttc- keep in mind we are all going to reach our goal. It's not a matter of IF, just WHEN. We will NOT feel frustrated and sad forever - this is only temporary and we're strong enough to get through it. The end result is worth it!!

Anyone else on Prometrium and Estradiol?

How was your IUI? Had mine this morning at 9. It was a clomid cycle only, our third one. So I'm thinking 3rd time's a charm, right?! We had 26 million sperm after washing. Last time we only had 10, first time we had 55. So who knows! Doc says they'll let me do one more if this one doesn't work and then go to the next step (injectibles)

dolly150 - thank you very much for your feedback as well. It is awesome that you still check the site even though you already got the BFP. I am so glad to hear that you didnt have any symptoms and got BFP. How is your pregnancy going? How far along are you now?

sunnyskies - thank you for the feedback. I did use injectables. I used repronex, ganirelix and Novarel... lol. it was a LOT of shots. I am really hoping they worked. I had 4-5 good follicles and my dh had 56 million sperm with 95% motility. So we shall see. I did consider acupuncture. In fact I wanted to but with all the $ we put out for my IUI's, I couldn't really afford the extras. Because of all the medications and monitoring its costs us over $5k. This is one of the reasons why i want it to work so bad this time. This is our second try with IUI.

wanna_be_preggers - Hopefully the 3rd time is a charm for you! Be strong as you go thru the 2ww.

Well i'm back. My IUI went well. This will be my second one, both with injectibles. the first time was on July 12th we had 15 million sperm after washing. After the 2ww I got a BFP, I was so excited!!!! I went in for the blood test on Sunday & they confirmed my pregnacy but, the very next day I started to bleed. I went in for anoter blood test on Tuesday and I was told I lost the pregnancy to a M/C. This morning was be my second IUI. this time we had 18 million sperm after washing. I'm just hopeing this is the one for both of us. I will keep you in my thought & prayers.

Mary, I totally understand on the costs. We thought we'd just keep plugging away utnil we became pregnant no matter what the costs but then reality sets in and everyone has their limits. Keep in mind you're doing everything you can do and the evidence would suggest you have a great chance. Fingers crossed for you.

I can't believe I am supposed to wait another whole week. I want to cheat!!!

Thank you!!! Yes waiting is horrible. Today's day and age with technology we get everything handed to us immediately. This is why it is so hard for us to wait for this. You would think they would be able to tell sooner than 2 weeks..lol
Its enough to drive any women insane... especially women like us who go thru all this to try and make it happen.
I wish we had a magic wand that could tell each of us at least what month we would be pregnant... lol.. at least i would know that if it didnt happen this time i would know how long until it happens. lol.. i guess i am asking for the impossible.

Hello everybody! Just wanted to say hello. I have been reading all your posts for 3-4 months now. I usually don't join things chats, but I figured what the heck. I read them everyday, I might as well join! I had my IUI Monday am! I have pretty much been through everything so far. I have done 2 failed IVFs and decided to go back to IUIs. I had 2 pregnancies on my own in 2005 and 2006 but miscarried. My little eggies appear to do better when they are kept in their most natural environment, my body! So here I am, and wish me luck.
I am doing prometrium this cycle but just started this morning.

Good luck jgreen. Seems like there are quite a few of us in the tww right now. My experience w/Prometrium (and Estrodial) has basically been like an exaggerated PMS - plenty of bloating, cramping, acne, and food cravings. Lovely.

Just curious...How many of you out there plan to tell your immediate families as soon as you get a BFP? My mom, sisters and a couple very close friends know exactly what I'm doing so they ask me all the time "how are you feeling?", "any news?", etc. I feel like I really should/want to tell them right away when it happens but at same time worried about speaking too soon. Any thoughts?

i know exactly what you are thinking!!! i know, because it just happend to me:( . with my last treatment on day 14 i got a BFP & I told everyone in my immedeate family. & disaster happend 2 days later i M/C :( Both me and my husband made a pact, not to tell anyone in the family intill the 3 month mark. Except all of you in this forum, you guys really make me feel like i'm not the only one.

I agree with Dimples! Since my two miscarriages, I have decided when I get pregnant, I too, will wait for the three month mark. It was too hard for me when my sisters and parents were keeping track of my cycles! Both of my sisters toold me at 3 months. I know it is very exciting when you get a BFP, but you need to wait to tell!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the reading, it really make me feel I am not alone. My DH and I have been trying for 5 years, told nothing was wrong with either of us by gyn, so went to reproductive specialist. And guess what, after my ruptured appendix, my right fallopian tube is coiled, so we are only working with the left. I had my first IUI on 8/10, after taking clomid, also had the hcg trigger saturday. The iui I think went well, 49 million sperm. I started the prometrium tuesday b/c my progesterone loevel was alittle low too. Now it's the 2ww, which is so hard.

I was wondering if anyone felt..hmm.. The only way I can describe it is when you wait to long to go to the bathroom and your bladder is so full it's going to burst? I have been feeling that ALL day, not really painful but uncomfortable. Not sure if it's a sideeffect from prometrium or the hcg trigger or what.

About that feeling...I think I felt that for two days after the IUI. I wasn't sure if it was just from ovulation (I had 5 large follicles) or maybe just normal bowel digestion. But I know what you mean. It felt like I needed to pee a lot and it was uncomfortable to stretch out my stomach. Oh I just noticed you had your IUI on 8/10, so you're still feeling that way? I had mine 8/8 and like I said that feeling only lasted two days, so I don't know what you might be feeling. SInce you just have your left side working, which is near your colon and bladder, it could just be the enlarged ovary from the clomid/hCG creating pressure on those parts. Well, good luck to you.

hi ladies... Well i test tomorrow. I really doubt this worked. I have had cramps and bad bloating for the past 2 days so I am sure my AF is coming.
jen920- I actually have that feeling now and i am testing tomorrow.. I dont know what it could be but i am thinking like yeehaw06 said that in my case it could be oversized ovaries. My RE told me last week that my ovaries were a little swollen.
Anyway... I am a little bummed about testing tomorrow cause i know its going to be a BFN... I just dont want to get that phone call with them telling me that.
This is it... No more IUI for me. I had 2 and they didn't work (well i am pretty sure this one didnt work) and I can't afford to do it again.

Don't give up hope yet -- hopefully the cramping is because your uterus is stretching for the little bean.

I gave up on the meds and IUI's too -- fertility treatment is very expensive and nothing is covered by my health insurance. I am hoping this 2nd cycle with no meds will be my BFP.

Mary - Best of luck to you! I'm sending you positive thoughts and prayers. I know everyone has a story like this but one of my best friends lost one of her tubes due to an ectopic and had been trying for years to have another baby (and spending lots of money along the way). She decided to just move on and literally when she submitted her adoption papers, she got pregnant. The point is, you just never know - so much of this is random and catches you by surprise. GOOD LUCK.

Jen - I had a little bit of that feeling right when I started the Prometrium but it was very mild. Not to sound like an alarmist but I do know that OHSS (hyperstimulation) can cause some of those symptoms if they feel severe. But if you've been monitored, you're probably just feeling side effects from the hormones.

I'm probably going to start testing on Saturday or Sunday weekend. I'm only 10dpiui today so I know it's early but I just can't wait any longer!

Hi! I'm doing fine! Just trying not to think too much about it but it's hard! I'm hoping conception is taking place right about now in both of our uteruses! I think it takes the sperm a couple days to reach the egg in the fallopian tubes so hopefully they're connecting right now! I don't feel anything different yet. I've had a head and chest cold but no fever. I was so worried I'd get a fever and that would somehow impede the little swimmers from finding my egg! I'm so incredibly anxious for more time to pass. I'm like you, I tested so much last cycle. I took 2 tests in one day. I think I went through about 6 tests. I have 2 boxes of them on the back of my toilet right now. 3 of the digital ones by ept and 2 of the first response ones. So hopefully both of us will get a BFP! I'll be in touch!

WWOOO HOOO...Well I went for my blood test this morning. I wasn't going to go because I had cramping the past 2 days and thought for sure AF would show up and i have no symptoms. But guess what!!!.. I got BFP!!! Thank you all for all your support as I went thru this. I wish you all a BFP soon.

sunnyskies- Hang in there. I thought for sure that I was getting AF.... I almost didn't go for the blood work because i thought it would be a waste of $$ and look what happened to me. Thank you everyone!!! I really wish that all of you heard the same news as me today. I still think I am in shock.I never thought that i would be on this site saying that i actually got a BFP.
I don't know my EDD yet... They basically just called me today and told me Congrats... I think it should be around the end of April though.

I actually have a question. I asked if my levels were good... And the nurse said great. She told me my levels were 301.. Doesn't that seem high? lol.. How many are in there?

My husband and I live in Indiana and although our insurance covers some infertility it wont cover donors which is our problem. We've maxed out credit cards paying for testing just to find out that he for no explained reason doesn't produce any sperm. We've been through 2 IUI cant afford another cycle Does anyone know of any grants for IUI with donor sperm? Please Help!

Hey, I also had an IUI on 08/08/08! I was hoping that would be lucky. I was my first time too, so I'm sure if some of the things I'm feeling are just side effects for the more powerful meds I haven't used before or pregnancy. I just got a BFP yesterday and I had NO symptoms at all.. In fact I had cramps that felt like AF was coming so I was sure I was getting BFN... And look what happened. :) It was my uterus preparing for the baby. So hang in there for the 2ww.. Unfortunately there could be a good chance that you won't have any symptoms like me and think it didn't work and then in the end hear a terrific surprise.
A lot of you are going to be testing soon.. I can't wait to hear more BFP.. Hang in there everyone!!. I thought for sure I would never get a BFP and look at me.... All you ladies will get your turn.. Just believe.

mary986- hopefully your baby mojo is working its way over to me. I did a home test this morning and I saw the FAINTEST hint of a line. dh saw it too. It's barely there but there is definitely something!! I am trying to not get too excited but can't wait to test again! FINGERS CROSSED!! Baby_now -I'm sorry I don't know about any grants. Are you a member of RESOLVE? They are a wonderful organization (www.resolve.org) and probably have some good resources for you.

For all who are in 2ww and asking about symptoms - Just like mary986, I've been having cramping since 8/11 (My IUIs were 8/5 & 8/6) and I've just been thinking it's AF. But with the small glimmer of hope coming from this morning's test, it could be same situation as Mary.

At 14 days, hCG will range from 3-426 so you're definitely on the high side. You said you had 4 or 5 follies so who knows... :)

I understand you desire to test. I promised my husband I would wait until the 2week mark next Friday but I want to do it on Monday so badly. I remember the first time I thought we were pregnant (instead I found out I just wasn't ovulating which is why my periods stopped) I would test twice a day. I should have stock in pt from Walmart:) I'll support you in holding off. I know how badly you want to but it may just lead you down the wrong path. Good luck we can do it!

Ok, so I am 10dpiui and I want to test so badly but I know testing to soon will only yield inaccurate results. I love it when the doctor says don't stress. Those words only make me want to stress more. After three weeks of waiting for one egg to mature, my doctor sends me on my way and says take a hpt in 2wks. I guess I expected more involvement during this time from him. I haven't been feeling much of anything in the past week and a half except the occasional cramp and bloating, but I am on prometrium. My doctor told me that only one egg was good for me since I don't ovulate, which is why we haven't been able to get pregnant. My husband's levels are fine and I am in my mid-20's which I guess is a plus in our favor. I am so tense and stressed and trying so hard not to be. How early did anyone else test and get a BFP?

Hopefulteacher - Hang in there... I personally think it is too early to test.. You don't want to confuse yourself even more.. Hang in there. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do during the 2ww except for wait... You are almost to the finish line.

mary986 - i tested again this morning and had another very faint positive line! I am a little worried b/c I had a TINY amount of (dried) bleeding - but it was very, very little. I'm praying I'm not miscarrying. Hopefully it's just implantation bleeding. I'm going to get bloodwork this morning for my piece of my mind. If it's low, they're likely going to tell me to come back in a couple days anyway. I'm leaving the house in a few minutes and heading over to the lab!!

Just wanted to check in and let you know I'm thinking about you and saying prayers for you! Hope you got some news! I agree with Mary it's probably just implantation because it's very normal to have a small amount of bleeding the first few weeks. Some women even think they are having a very light period and they are actually still pregnant. I hope you don't have to wait a couple more days!

I am right there with ya! Just hang in there. Trust me, I know it is tough. I have been doing this for a while now. I had my IUI on 8/11 combined with intercourse. Was trying to save some money by doing 1 IUI instead of 2. When do you go for bloodtest? I am also on prometrium, which unfortunately seems to have side effects of cramping and bloating etc. I am supposed to go on 8/27 but I usually know before then. I was pregnant twice on my own a few years back...

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. It means so very much to me.  I want to tell you all a story of what happened to me today in case it happens to you to. So you all know by now I had 2 faint positives (1 yesterday and 1 today). I've been having some cramping for about a week and had a tiny amount of dark spotting this morning. So I went to the lab for a blood test. A couple hours later, I called the dr's office for results and told them about my symptoms. They scheduled me for 12:30 without telling me the results.

Less than 10 minutes later the secretary called back and said she discussed my chart with the dr and he said it's just my period. I was so confused I asked "so that means the results are negative?". She said "basically yes but you can still come in today though you might just want to wait for your scheduled appt next week". Obviously I was completely devastated b/c I just "felt pregnant" and had already gotten my hopes up. All I could do was throw myself on the bed and sob.

I decided to keep my appointment since so many things didn't add up (The Prometrium should be keeping my period supressed, it's very early for me, and the faint positives). I waited 75 minutes for the doctor but he finally walked in and told us we have a BFP!!!!! I NEARLY FELL OFF THE TABLE!!! I told him I was confused and explained the whole story. He apologized and basically blamed it on a miscommunication, a chaotic day in their office and new staff.  CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!!

Now, it is still very early for me (hcg only at 18) and the spotting could be sign of miscarrying so we're being very cautious. I'm bumping up my Prometrium and going back for bloodwork on Thursday.

The moral of this story ladies is to a) ALWAYS trust your instincts. You know your body better than anyone else and the dr sees a lot of patients and doesn't know the nuances like you do and b) insist on seeing your dr. if you ever have any doubts. it's better to have peace of mind (even if it isn't always good news) and find out the facts for yourself rather than leaving your mind or speculation to take over.  My other piece of advice is to wait as long as possible for a hpt b/c the ambiguous tests can cause mental torture!! the 2ww is hell but part of me wishes I had waited it out to avoid all this confusion!

I feel there is some majorly potent BABYDUST for everyone on this forum right now. Thank you, thank you for all your prayers!! I'm going back on Thursday to make sure numbers are heading up. Until then, happy thoughts!!

I could not help myself even though I know today was only 10dpiui, I went a head and did a pregnancy test. Like I said before, I am a teacher but I am also a hairstylist on the weekends. One of my teacher friends begged me to come in to the salon today to color her hair before school starts this week. When I got in to the salon, the girls I work with, including an "about to pop" former iui alumni, told me I had to just try a test to see. I went a head and bought a five pack in hopes that if I got a BFN I had more for later on this week. I took one test while my friend was in a cap of highlights and couldn't believe it! It was a BFP and this was a bells and whistles digital test! I couldn't believe it so I took another a few hours later (I did buy a five pack) and it said "pregnant" before I even zipped my pants! I called my doctor to set up a blood test for tomorrow, but I am very hopeful.

That is very encouraging news! I am very excited for you. yeehaw06 - I read a typical trigger shot could stay in your blood for 10 days (you lose about 10 mg of it every day and most shots are 100 mg). Fingers crossed for you both!!!

Hi, My name is Jennifer, I am new to this to the group and I have easily gotton my hopes up. My situation is a little different then others but feelings are quit the same. I have a son that was born in 2000. I almost died having him but did not want to stop with just one. I have been trying with my husband for the past 6 years with no success. Come to find out when I had my C-section they damaged alot inside and to cervix. I had surgery to repair damage on July 18th in hopes to get pregnant again. I started my first round of Clomid June 9th and Estradiol on June 19, I went in for my first follicle scan on June 21 and no response to medication. I recently had 2nd cycle of Clomid and Estradiol and responded with 8 follies. Did my IUI on August 11, 2008. Go for Blood test August 25, 2008. I hope the surgery and medication pays off, it been a LONG journey. This 2 week wait is killing me and these symptoms are awful. It doesn't help that I have a summer cold. Best of LUCK to everyone and HOPES 2009 is the year for babies.

Hopefulteacher ~ Hopefully this is your month for your BFP, but if you had the HCG trigger shot it could stay in your system quite a long time. My first IUI I tested early at 11dpiui and got a BFP only to be devestated and disappointed the next day.

I just had my 4th IUI on Saturday, so I am 2dpiui and in the 2ww again. This is the first IUI after my lap surgery and I am feeling more hopeful and less stressed. I know that we have done everything we can medically and we have our answers as to why we have not been able to concieve, so now it's all in God's hands. He'll give us our baby when the time is right...I just hope it's before my endometriosis has a chance to grow back...that lap S U C K E D, LOL!

I did test at home but not until the day i was going in for my bloodwork. I didn't have any symptoms so I thought for sure it would be a waste of $$ to pay for a blood test. When I tested at home, I got BFP... I didn't believe so I tested again and got the same. I then went for the blood work and here I am. So just a little advice for all that are struggling thru the 2ww. I had cramps and no sign at all of being Preggars.... Don't give up hope. Unfortunately, its the longest 2ww. Try and keep yourself busy.
I am feeling good still. I have some symptoms. I have trouble eating in the morning.. Nothing appeals to me until about noon..lol. I also feel sick when I brush my teeth. I get tired earlier at night. Other than that i am fine. None of these symptoms yet are that bad.
I went yesterday for more blood work and my levels were up to 598. They said that was great. I have to go back again to get more blood work.

I am so sorry you went thru all that yesterday. Hang in there and rest as much as you can. You are still early in the cycle so you numbers should go up. I know in week four, they say you can be anywhere from 5-426. So hopefully tomorrow when you go those numbers will rise. Take care of yourself, eat healthy and get plenty of rest. We are all pulling for you. I am so glad that it wasnt your AF.

Be strong during your 2ww and be hopeful. Think of the Lap. as being the step to get you preggars. I was a lot more positive thru my last IUI then the 1st... And it worked. Try to think positive cause believe it or not, I feel your mindset plays a big role in all these.

jgreen - Good luck! I am really pulling for you!! try to distract yoruself as much as possible and just be very good to yourself. FYI, I used the First Response early detection test and it must be very sensitive b/c I had a very faint positive on Sunday and my hCG was only 18 on Monday! Baby dust!

mary986- I am so happy that your numbers are nicely going up! That's so weird about brushing your teeth! The only weird thing I've felt is that I get really hungry but when I look in the fridge, nothing looks good to me. I've had a sweet tooth actually.

I had my IUI 8/11! I am going crazy. I have bad side effects from Prometrium! I am wanting to eat lots of junk food! I am not happy about that! I tested tonight because I was feeling so hormonal. I have been reading all of these posts, and of course surfing the internet for as much information as I can. I had a son in 99, and my husband and I have been trying for over a year to conceive. We just went in for IUI on the 11th, and had the HCG Trigger on the 9th. I am on Metformin and took Clomid days 5-10, with my husband and I both taking z-pack during days 5-10 as well. I have PCOS and my husband has low counts. I had a progesterone level of 12.1 4 days after IUI. The only thing I am feeling is swollen breasts, but it could be my cycle. My fingers are crossed that this works for us- and for all of you! I have 6 more days until I am supposed to HPT. But I can see that some of you are testing at 10 days... so that could be tomorrow for me...

I did two cycles with clomid 100mg, then one cycle with clomid and trigger shot with the IUI. So I was so lucky...only had to pay for that once! So thankful. We had unexplained infertility. So my progesterone 7 dpo was 30.1. I guess this doesn't necessarily mean anything? From what I've read they want it to be at least 15 for a medicated cycle but it doesn't necessarily mean I'm pregnant. I wish it meant something! I know when they tested it 7dpo in February it was 14.2 . I'm guessing this isn't a very good test to predict pregnancy unless it's way high like yeehaw06! Just wanted to post this but it probably doesn't mean anything! I am 8 days post iui and trying to remain hopeful. This was my 3rd IUI and I'm hoping it works because they will let me do one more before the next step. Good luck to everyone testing soon!

I did 2 cycles of Clomid (1 w/IUI) and had really bad side effects (mostly mood related) so switched to injectables (Follistim) for 1 cycle w/IUI and got a BFP on Monday (12&13 dpIUI). I'm still on high alert since my hCG was on the low side but have positive feelings.
I have PCOS and completely erratic cycles. I'm also on Metformin, Estradiol, and Prometrium (double the regular dose now). GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

I tested this am, BFN. I am 11 DPIUI. I had to start progesterone injections last night because my progesterone was too low, a 5. I guess I am down in the dumps, but what else is new. I don't know if the Femara/Letrozole is messing up my progesterone levels. I will test tomorrow and the next day. Then I am planning to stop the painful injections which bruise and numb my legs at times. Anyone BFN 11DPIUI and then turn BFP? I am not too hopeful. The two times I was preggo in 05 and 06 I could tell early on!
Well, kudos to you all with BFP, that is awesome news.

I am on my second IUI, but last month I had my first IUI, I tested almost everyday & every single day it was BFN, then on the 14th day BFP! I M/C two day later, but please dont give up have faith it will happen to all of us here!!!

I keep noticing "symptoms", but I am not sure if I am noticing them because I want this time to be the one....
I have a few more days to wait until testing- my doctor told me to wait 15 days.  So I am really hopeful that these symptoms are not symptoms of PMS.

I know that if this time isn't it.... it will happen.  Look at how many have received BFP's this month!  We just have to wait our turns....

I just completed a cycle of Gonal F and Ovidrel. I took my trigger shot last Saturday and the last day or so I have been cramping a little down there and it feels firm. I have also been gassy. I had a lot of 13 and 14 follies and one 20. Can someone tell me what it is I may be feeling?

Hi I'm new, I just had my 1st iui, done on Aug 19th, I only had 25mg of Clomid with Ovidrel trigger shot, because last month I had 50mg of Clomid had 4mature eggs, this month I have 2. But all day today I've been extremely hungry tired yearning, both of my breast and nipples hurt, nauseated. I just dont now if I can wait til Sept 2nd to find out, with all these poss. symptoms I'm having. I want to get a test but I know its 2 early to tell. Good Luck 2 all!!!!

So I tested again this am, just to make hubby feel better about not giving me my oil shots. I explained that I wanted to stop the shots so I can get my period. If you continue the progesterone, and you are not preggo, your period is delayed! I did use that First Response! I just want to get on with my next cycle. I will probably not do Femara again as this was my second cycle on it. It seems to help me make lots of follicles, but not the "golden!" ones I need.

First of all I will tell you to keep it positive, do not stress yourself try to keep yourself occupy. Second, if you're ging to have 2nd iui then wait about 5-6days later to see how your body change; you may probably think about home preg. test try CLEARBLUE. It's been a while since I last posted, I see a lot of new names here and a lot of familiar ones. It's nice to catch up and see some bfp's-Congrats mary986!! :)

Since I was last around I had 3 failed iui attempts (with follistim), so my dr and I suggested we go right to ivf. I had my egg retrieval on 7/23 and my transfer on 7/29. On 8/8 I finally got my BFP!! We went for an ultrasound last Thurs and found out we have twins!! It's been surreal, so I wasn't ready to post yet. But the comfort and support that I found through all of you got me through some hard times. I wish everyone the best of luck-you all deserve it! Not everyone can understand what we go through!

WOW! Congrats...twins seems to be going around in here...I'm jealous ;-p I want twins so I don't have to go through all of this a second time. You must be so excited. I am 8dpiui on my 4th cycle of IUI...you can consider the first 3 I did a waste since I had a laparoscopy and my RE found a lot of endometriosis which was probably preventing pregnacy. Very hopeful that this will be my cycle for my BFP! So happy for you!!!

I had my 2nd IUI on 8/14 with 100 mg of Clomid and Ovidrel trigger on 8/12. I took HPT on 8/21 and got BFN. At least now I know that the Ovidrel is out of my system. I feel I need to take a break from all of this as I just feel that TTC is taking over my life. I live and breath TTC and I think I need to take a step away from it for a while. Really hope you get that BFP this month.

I'm so sorry. I was really hoping this was your month. I'm sure you are sad and beyond disappointed. I think perhaps it IS best to take a break for a time. I know how you feel about it taking over your life. I missed 2 cycles, and while I was worried about having NOT tried for those 2 times, in a way, I felt like I had gotten my life back a bit. I'm going in fr IUI #2 next week and I'm nervous, I don't want to get crazy and obsessed about it all over again.Take your break, reassess and then your gut will tell you what is next for you.

So good to hear from you again!!! And even better to hear from you that you are expecting!!! and with Twins. Can I ask you how far along you were when they were able to tell you were having twins? lol. I guess I am anxious to know whats going on in me.

Everyone that tested and got BFN.. be strong and hang in there. Everyone will get their turn, you just have to believe even through the toughest times.

I've taken the last 2 months off and it has been SO great for me - if you're feeling burnt out, I highly recommend it. We're seeing the RE on 9/8 and going from there, so I knew I'd have more intensity ahead of me and just wanted to chill out and focus on other things. I hope taking a step back helps:)

Got my AF today! At least it didn't leave my guessing. I like to get on with the show. Will go for clearance tomorrow. Maybe next month will be good for me. Would be a nice birthday present, right! My birthday is Sept 21! I would know by then. Hopefully I have no cysts. It seems like the Letrozole was somehow messing me and my progesterone up! So I assume we will change the protocol.
Well, awesome news from lots of BFPs. Hopefully the BFPs are contagious. I am trying to be patient!

hi. I have a quick question! I had an IUI on Friday and was told to begin prometrium tonight, however, the label says "Do not use if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant" Does anyone else take this? I just want to be sure i picked up the right medicine.

I'm also on Prometrium and pregnant. My dr. told me that despite what it says on the label it's been accepted medical practice for years and years to prescribe progesterone during pregnancy. The FDA hasn't changed their policy b/c there hasn't been an explicit study on it (nor will there ever be since the drug is now in a generic form) but that not only is it safe but highly beneficial for many women depending on their medical situation. In fact, when I got my BFP last week, he doubled my dosage to 800mg per day! That dosage is actually so high my pharmacist asked me if it was a typo and my insurance won't pay for it. But I completely trust the doctor and have read enough to feel confident about it.
jgreen, matty and jen - I'm so sorry about your BFNs. I'm sending you and everyone else who decides to try again this month every positive thought and wish for BFPs soon!

Sorry to all of those that got BFN's this time around. I tested yesterday afternoon... couldn't wait. Also had a BFN. Still haven't had my AF, and will test again if it doesn't come. But, I don't think this time was it for me.

well my 2ww is over tomorow. I tested on Sunday & BFN!! I started to spot light pink (only when I wiped) Today I tested and got BFP!! I can't help but be excited & scared at the same time, because of what happened last month. Has any one of the recent BFP spoted & still be okay??

So I've been feeling AF cramps all day and now I have pink spotting. It seems AF has arrived. This was our third cycle. We've been trying for two and a half years on our own and started the IUI thing in Feb/March. I think we might move straight to IVF. Good luck to everyone on here! I am starting my meds again tonight. To all of us BFNs, don't give up. I wouldn't move on to IVF so so fast. It is much more expensive and invasive. I have done it twice. Unless you have a medical need for it, like sperm with no motility etc! Just my two cents.

Well I'm a new BFP. I'm at 18 dpiui and my hCG was 419 yesterday, up from 62 three days before. SO I guess that's good. It's so hard to believe and really let myself understand I really am pregnant this time! I was losing hope...so all of you losing hope...don't give up, we all get our turn!

I was wondering for anyone that was on prometrium how soon after your last pill did AF come? I was due to start AF yesterday and still haven't started, Took my last pill last night. This is all firsts for me and just trying to figure things out. Hoping soon so I can have my next IUI. I am a 28cd usually and am freaking out a bit, if I don't start AF by thursday, my Ovulation/IUI will be the weekend of 9/12 and I will be out of town for work. Therefore DH wont even be there for the prime ovulation days. (HPT negative Sunday and today). Please AF if you are coming this month be tomorrow.

How is all the BFP feeling?

I tested again yesterday. BFN. So I called the doctor because she asked me to keep her updated. I still haven't received my AF, and she said that if I don't receive it by Thursday, to test again. So far, it still hasn't come.
I don't want to get my hopes up, if I am not pregnant- but I am hopeful. How long is the luteal phase when on Clomid. I ovulated and had my IUI 16 days ago.

Usually AF comes within 14 days of O. My cycle is long (about 33 days) so I surge around day 18 and usually ovulate/iui day 19 and then AF 14 days later. This is exactly what happened the last 2 months. I do know women who've been on clomid and were 4 or 5 days late with BFN and AF showed up. So I think the clomid and prometrium can prolong the cycle. But it also could be you are preggo and hcg is too low yet to register on a home test! I've known people who didn't get a positive until a week or more after AF was due to arrive. So you'll just have to wait! It's painful to wait, I know! It's such a tease, this stuff. It's almost cruel. Good luck and keep us posted!
