Thank you so much for your help. I really haven't had any symptoms at all! Does this really mean it's a bust for me this month? This is my first attempt and I don't want to be disappointed or discouraged to try again. I know some people are lucky and only have to try once but there are those others that have to try many times. I really just want to be one of the lucky few.

I'm 7dpiui and not feeling a thing. Please help me clam my nerves!!

Hi!
Don't worry about not feeling anything! Think about how many of us have gone thru this and were convinced we were preggers that month because we DID feel something? I know many friends who have children and some of them never had one symptom, and some had over the top symptoms. Everyone is different so try to relax and get thru the next week as anxious as you may be,I know it's hard! I know you want to be one of the lucky ones, I wish I was too..but it will be time for all of us at some point! ;)

Nobody should be mislead by the twings and twangs we may feel! They mean nothing unfortunately! I have had plenty in previous months and sure it was implantation or something, and it was not. Like Lolagirl said, everybody is so different. You could not feel anything and get a BFP. I guess we get our hopes up at every little thing we feel. Then we get let down if we are not pregnant. I try not to get too excited anymore!

I am also 5 DPIUI like jodiminx! Jodi, when do you test?

I had my progesterone done today, was a 38! I was happy because I had had very low progesterone the past 3 months. My doctor gave me an HcG booster which is also supposed to help with production of progesterone.

I'm so happy that I found this blog! I'm new to this whole community...so I don't know what all the acronyms mean..I get some of them, but not all...what does tty mean? If anyone can break it down to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Like everyone else, I SWEAR each month I'm pregnant...but to no avail...it's always negative...I just did an IUI on 8/29, took Femara from CD3 - CD&, and then HCG shot on 8/28. I'm 12 dpuiu (I think I'm saying that correctly) :). I'm wondering if I should take a HPT or just wait until a blood test on Monday if AF doesn't come this weekend. I'm anxious just like everyone else. Any advice?

You could take a HPT. If you are on Progesterone supplements, your period will not comr until you stop, most likely. I am not sure what tty means, sorry! 12 days PIUI should show results by now but not always 100%. Everybody is different. Good luck!

Well alittle bummed, So I was scheduled for my u/s on Thursday, started OPT's Monday and got a positive one yesterday, so I called my Dr. and they had me come right down for an u/s. The good news was is I have THREE really good sized follicles. Tne BAD news is they were all on the right side which is completly coiled so I can not have an IUI this cycle, due to the risk of an eptopic pregnancy. The Dr. told me that it was up to me if I wanted to go ahead and have intercourse but I do have that increased risk of a tubal. She also told me that If the coiled tube was my only tube they would go ahead with the IUI b/c that would be my only chance. I asked her what I was looking at and she told me maybe a 20% chance. So I being who I am, looked at the glass 80% full not 20% empty. I did go ahead with intercourse so I guess we will see what happens.

I am supposed to go on the 18th. But I would know before then I think. I usually test at home and take myself off of progesterone if I am negative. I don't like to prolong my cycles and don't feel the need to wait for the blood test. Are you on progesterone supplements?

yes, i take them tree times a day, THEY MAKE ME SOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED!!!! yes, i took myself off them in my last cycle. hopefully it will work this time., when do you think it is the safest to take a hpt and the hcg not show up?????

Well I just had more HcG given as a booster. My doctor does that, most don't. If you were only triggered with the HcG, it should be out of your system by 10 days Post trigger. I had my additional HcG given Tuesday, a smaller amount, so I probably can't test till Tuesday, which will be 12 Days PIUI! I am doing Crinone, doesn't have as many side effects as Prometrium for me. Good luck.

Hi all! Just had my first iui today and experiencing slight cramping. It was also a clomid & hcg try. My Dh & I have been ttc 4 yrs & have not even been preg once. I had 3 good sized follicles on my left with a total of 7 and also 3 good sized ones on the right with a total of 10(variable sizes) . My question is kinda stupid I guess, but with having the hcg shot, does that only trigger one side to release an egg(s) or both? Thanks for any input.

hi, i just had my first monitoring ultrasound today and my doc discovered I have 5 large eggs,,,I guess the clomid did its job...lol. No wonder I wanted to shoot someone while i was taking that medication!! i was injected with hcg and i will be having my first iui tomorrow morning. they will be doing another iui on Friday morning as well. i am very excited and feeling positive.

Jen920 - I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work out for the iui this month...I'm glad you still gave it a go with intercourse!! Wishing you and everyone lots of luck.

Ovidrel trigger should release all eggs that are there to be released. Not all follicles will have an egg inside. Do they give you a reason you are not getting pregnant? Good luck!

I don't ovulate regularly & dh had had low sperm ct. However , we had 9.9 million washed w/ a total of 32 mmillion ct for him, so I guess at the moment it is just me.

It has been a while since I posted.  I went to the doctor today for an U/S and I only have one good follie.  I have 2 on the other side, but they have been there for 3 months now.  I have been told that it isn't normal, but it isn't uncommon for that to happen.
Anyway, my IUI is scheduled for Saturday the 13th.  I give myself the HCG shot tonight.

JEN920, hopefully everything works out for you this month.  Sorry about not being able to have IUI.

Hi everyone,

I am 4 days PIUI and this wait is going to be brutal!!

I have a question: has anyone, who has taken Clomid and hcg injection, had issues with hot flashes at night? I am waking up in the middle of the night approx 3 times and throwing the covers off of me. I am stiffling! This is very unusual for me and I am sleeping in an AC house. I am wondering if it has to do with the medication(s). Any insight would be appreciated!!

I agree clomid was awful. I would wake up with hot flashes too. I am only 32 and way too young for hot flashes! I am hoping that the injectables will have less side effects. I am moving on to Menopur and HCG shots for next month.

I had an ultrasound on Saturday 9-13 to make sure I was near ovulation for IUI and discovered I had just ovulated on the right, and was about to ovulate on the left. The 2WW *****, but the worst is the nausea from the HCG shot and all the meds.

Hope all is going well with everyone. It has been pretty quiet out here.

I am glad that there is a forum like this. I'm 34 and TTC for 6 years. I have suffered from ovarian cysts so I have not been able to have an iui until this month.....it was done on 9/5. I am in the 2ww and am on pins and needles. I am also taking prometrium 100mg vaginally 2xdaily, started taking 2 days after iui. I am currenly on cd 26 and go for bhgc test on Monday morning. Dr says our infertility is unexplainable as all of our results were great. On the day of the iui she had to show my dh how active his sperm were....she said it was one of the best ones shes seen.

Just wanted to say I'm still here! I've been checking in every other day and seeing if there is any news for anyone! After trying 4 cycles of IUI this summer, we are taking this month off (today is CD 23) and we will begin IVF mid October. I will keep everyone updated if we get pregnant. We are all in the same boat and have all experienced the heartache and frustration of infertility. This cycle has been kind of nice because it hasn't felt stressful. No clomid in my system finally! I'd been on it all summer, 4 cycles in a row! I'm hoping the best for everyone! Hang in there to those in the 2ww!

Very funny about Dr having to show your husband the active sperm! My Dr. had to do the same thing. But as she was showing him the swimmers, I got sick and threw up in the bathroom after the IUI. My new RE said that it was normal because your uterus has several nerves and sometimes the nerves are hit during the IUI.

Thanks for sharing all of your comments and stories. This site has been such a support for me. Im in the 2WW and feeling extremely down. My husband and I have just gone through our 4th IUI. Im 7dpIUI now and not feeling much. I think the hardest thing for me is that we were so fortunate to conceive my daughter who is now 14 months on our very first try at IUI that this second time around has been such a challenge for us. Im thinking maybe this is a sign and we shouldnt try anymore. Im not sure I am strong enough to go through IVF...Your success stories give me hope and Im trying to stat positive but it is so very hard.

I never felt anything during or after the IUI. I hate this waiting game...I'm cycle day 27, 13 dpiui and am having brownish discharge today...waiting to hear back from the clinic as to whether or not to continue with the prometrium. I have been so emotional lately too I start crying at the slightest little things...Have you heard about using Royal Jelly supplements?? I read an article in the Dr's office about foods that boost fertility and Royal Jelly was listed. I'm going to ask at my next appt...

Hi Everyone! I've been reading a watching over the last couple of months while we took a break. I saw the RE on 9/8 and they did a lap the next day. Some endo and adhesions were found, so they were removed. We went today and things look great, so they said when AF comes, I'll call and do the baseline u/s. Of course, about 3 hours later I got AF! So, I'll probably go tomorrow for the u/s. We'll be doing injectables and IUI, so I'll be in the 2ww before you know it! Good luck to all those waiting!

I have never heard of Royal Jelly. Let me know what the Dr. says. Food does play a role in infertility though. My RE told DH to stay away from Soy and herbal medicines (due to Estrogen that is found in them). He is also taking vitamin supp. now. Vit. E & C are good for the sperm.
I am just waiting for AF so I can start the next cycle. This month was canceled due to high Estrogen levels.

Hey all. My DH and I have been TTC for 3 years now. I am polycystic and have acidic cervical fluid. Husband has 120+ mil count. We went through taking Clomid for 11 cycles and TTC with intercourse. This month, we started IUI. Ultrasound showed a 21mm and a 17mm follicle in right side, so Dr. gave me hCG and inseminated on the following morning. The 2WW was hard, but AF showed up exactly 14 days after the IUI, which I think was even harder. Dr. says this is a good sign that at least my body is reacting to the meds. Start clomid again Sunday and have an US on 10/1, hopefully with IUI the following day. I just pray it will work this time! It's nice to have a place to vent to so many other women who are experiencing all of this! Best of luck to all of you!

Well tomorrow marks a big day! It is our 5th Wedding anniversary which also marks FIVE years of TTC. Looking back 5 years ago I never would have imagined that it would have been so hard and such an emotional roller coaster. I at this point am just waiting for my next cycle, so we can see if I ovulated on the LEFT side, my right side is completely coiled due to a ruptured appendix (1/04). This cycle I was unable to do an IUI due to the folicles on the right side. The good news my body is taking to the clomid. I had 3 large folicles all on the right side.

How is everyone else doing? Anyone testing soon?

I'm 10dpiui. It's my 4th round of iui's. The first 3 times, I took clomid. This time I used femara. My progesterone level dipped this time around to 15 from 18 on clomid. I'm feeling no pregnancy symptoms. I test on 9/25, but not feeling hopeful.

Interesting, I did Femara for 2 months and my progesterone was awfully low. I am pretty sure the Femara messed mine up. It was a 2 then a 5. Last month, off of Femara, it went back to normal, 38! Good luck. I just started my injections tonight for IUI round #4.

The brown spotting, if you are getting a positive, is implantation bleeding. The embryo digs into the lining to implant. I hope it is implantation, that is exciting. Good luck, let us know! When do you go for a blood test?

I am on day 10 of the 2 ww.  Last month I had some nausea, so I was hopeful, however I know now it was the medicine.
This month, I haven't had any issues.  I am not getting my hopes up, because I am afraid that I will give myself symptoms.
Last week I noticed cramping- more like twinges but that only lasted a couple of days, and haven't had it since.
Anyway, my fingers are crossed for all of us...

I have very sad news to share. I have lost my pregnancy to a misscarrige last Friday I was 7 weeks along :( This was my second IUI. I just can't belive that I got BFP on both of my IUI and both times I had a misscarige. I feel numb!!! I was expecting to see a heart beat on my second U/S and all I we saw was a sack!

I got my blood test back and it is confirmed....BFP!!!! I go back to the RE tomorrow for a full blood work-up to check hormone levels? I'm very excited, but nervous about the brown spotting.

I'm back on line. I have been taking Clomid this cycle and yesterday's ultrasound showed I had 5 good sized follies. Amazing since this time in my cycle i usually only have one! I'm hoping the Clomid is going to do the trick. Will probably go in for IUI on Fri or Saturday. Fingers crossed it's a good month!!!!

I am on day 11 of the 2 week wait. Not feeling anything. My fingers are crossed. We are going to test on Sunday. My last Luteal phase was 18 days long. My doctor thought that was a little long, so she started me on clomid 2 days earlier. Not sure if that will change anything with my luteal phase.

I was on 75 Gonal-F (same as Follitism), but after the u/s and bw today, they upped it to 150. I have one follicle on the L and 2 on the right, so I'm psyched! Back in May and June we did IUIs - I was on 150mg Clomid then, w/ 5 months of Clomid alone before that. We were referred to the RE in June and took July and Aug. off. Saw the RE on 9/8 and had a lap on 9/9 to remove endometriosis and scar tissue. Hopefully that did the trick and this is the month. What is your history?

My history is too long LOL. I got preggo on my own in2005 and 2006 but miscarried! Then went to a RE, where I am back now, and did 2 months of Clomid and 2 injectibles, no success. Did 2 IVFs, had 1 embryo transferred day 3 and 2nd IVF, waited for day 5 and there was nothing left. Decided to go back to IUIs since we know my hubby makes good swimmers etc. This is going to be my 4th month back with IUIs. First two months tried Letrozole with injectibles. I think the Letrozole made lots of follies, but screwed up E2 and P4. So last month just did Follistim, had a good cycle but no BFP. Hopefully, we can both get a BFP this month. I have 3 on left, 9/9/8 and 3 on right 9/8 so we will see. Waiting for the phone call with E2 levels this afternoon to know whether to keep on 150 or lower.

Hopefully , since they removed endo from you, you are all clean and ready! Keep me posted...good luck.

After a 4 month break...and 4 failed IUI's...hubby and I are back in the game again. I'm on cycle day 9, 7th day of injections and mood swinging like crazy. Tonight I take the hcg and IUI on Friday. I've been nauseated and extremely tired with the injections. Anyone else experiencing these side effects?

Side effect galore! I'm not on injections like you, but have been taking Clomid for 11 days (I know, weird, my Dr does longer doses than the usual 5 days I have a headache every day, I've gained 5 lbs in a snap of a finger, and have hot flashes a few times a day plus night sweats...all in all it's been a blast :) Hopefully ALL worth it in the end!!

This cycle got canceled for me due to high Estrogen levels.  I am just waiting for AF now or maybe BFP.  I only have about a week left of waiting.  It has been the longest month ever.  Much harder than the 2ww.

I will be on Menopur for 8-10 days then HCG shot.  This will be my 3rd IUI.  Before we were using clomid.  I have PCOS and unexplained infertility (due to being on meds, ovulating but still no  BFP).

I am also going to try acupuncture.  Anyone who has done acupuncture Do the needles hurt??

I did acupuncture for two months along with IUI this spring/early summer. I enjoyed it and did not find it painful. I've read a lot of good things about it, so I thought I'd give it a try. My acupuncturist advised me on diet and things too, which was nice. I definitely slept better while doing it.

Hope 1127- I'm on Gonal-F and Lupron right now and am extremely emotional. Also, sooo tired. My DR did tell me yesterday that the first cycle is the worst and it gets better each one after, which I guess is good, except I dont' want to do this again!

My 2nd HCG was good, my levels doubled....I go back tomorrow for a 3rd test, which will probably tell us more since it will be 3 days later. I am on progesterone injections 2x a week, progesterone suppositories and baby asprin daily. No sex, no shopping, no housework...I have to take it easy. I'm hoping it sticks and praying every minute I can get.

I am currently on CD 5 and have been on letrozole since CD3 til CD7 and then the DR wants me to go on Puregon starting CD7...has anyone used this??? I go on Sun morning for CD7 U/S and bloodwork.

Sagebrush...I used accupuncture for 24 treatments...definiately relaxed me and I slept better as well...however there was no luck in the baby dept...I also asked my DR about Royal Jelly and she hasn't heard of it being used for fertility before...

They kept the #'s the same. I now have two on the right and "a few small ones" on the left (uh-oh!) She was going to increase doses until she realized my age and that I had "a few" I'm going Monday for more u/s and bloodwork, and then she thought probably Tuesday for the IUI. When do you go back? I wish I didn't have so many people around me saying "I have a good feeling, this is it!" My hopes are really up right now, which could end badly!

I'm curious why your Dr had concerns about you having "a few"? Is she concerned about multiples?? It's interesting that you had this experience, I went in for u/s and bloods yesterday. They saw 2 mature follies and 3 other good sized ones and the RE asked me if I wanted to switch to IVF since I had so many? I can't afford IVF but now, and hour before I go into the Dr for my IUI, I'm getting concerned??
I Also hear ya on the "I have such a good feeling this time" comments. I know people mean well, but it makes it harder to hear that when you're trying to be realistic about it and preparing yourself for another bfn...my hopes are high too, and my fingers are crossed for you, me, and all the other ladies on here!!!

Yes, they are concerned about multiples. I don't think it's an issue right now, and they seem to be planning on the IUI, but since I'm producing on my own, they didn't see the need to increase my dose. The two on the right are good sized and should be ready to go early in the week, so anything else would be bonus. I think a lot of times they will offer IVF if you have a few follies, but I wouldn't worry too much, as I dont' think they'll do the IUI if there are too many and they think it would increase your chance of multiples even more. Good luck today, we'll be pretty close together in the 2ww!

My Estradiol went up to 715 today. I go back Monday for bloodwork and ultrasound. They told me to bring the trigger, but I may be triggered Tuesday with IUI Wed. Do you do 1 or 2 IUIs? I may just do 1 again since they are so expensive! I don't tell a lot of people anymore about my cycles so I don't have to explain and hear comments like you said! It just makes it harder for me. I will just tell all when I am 3 months! Good luck and let me know. What was your last Estradiol, E2?

I am embarrassed to say I dont' know my E2. I know they do bloodwork, but they only call me if they want to change my dose, not with the results. I'll ask tomorrow! My other IUIs were with my OBGYN, and we only did one. I'm not sure what the RE will do, my info sheet says "IUI(s)", so it must depend on timing, the person, etc. We have great coverage for the IUIs themselves, but only for 4 of them, so I don't know that they would do 2 in one month. Yes, we will be close in the 2WW, I think several of us are! Yesterday went well. Before the IUI my Dr said "Timing is PERFECT this time" I questioned him as in "You mean last time it wasn't?" He just meant that I have 3 great follies, and my estrogen levels were high and I was on meds this month so I guess it must be a better month? Whatever, I was happy to hear him tell me, but trying not to get hopes up. I'm traveling on business for 4 days right in the middle of the 2WW which is actually a godsend since it will helps take my mind off and break up the monotony of the wait. Please let me know when you go in so I can keep a good thought for you!

I have been feeling nauseated, and have gotten sick almost everyday for the last 5 days. Yesterday my husband said to me, "this is a good sign". Don't I wish. I took a test this morning, and BFN. If I don't start AF, then I am supposed to test again on Tuesday.
The only difference between this month and last month is that I am taking prometrium, and that I had clomid on days 3 -7, instead of days 5-9.
I kept telling myself that it could be my hormones, medicines, etc... but in the end, I still had my hopes up, and was upset this morning with the BFN.

cb_hoping - What cycle day are you??? Vomiting 5 days in a row sounds like a preggers symptom, not a meds symptom! Have you called your Dr about this yet???

jgreen5897 - I had my IUI yesterday afternoon. I swear, all day yesterday and today I have had awful pains on my left side. I did a little sussing out online and it says that if there are several large follies on one side, ovulation can be very painful. I almost feel like I can tell when each one of them is bursting and letting an egg out..lets hope they burst and lead those little suckers to those hearty swimmers ;)

I am 9dpiui and it is driving me crazy I just feel bloated a little tender on the side on my bbs but it comes and goes nothing steady...I have convienced myself that it is from the wires in my bra (so I don't get over excited)...I have no symptoms like I did with the first pg...My boobs were so sore then I could hardly wear a bra and I was tired and very warm...now the last few days I actually have gotten the chills a few time according to the website "ask dr amy.com" my inplantation (implantation) date wouldnt be until tomorrow (im a 30 day girl) so I am just sweating bullets. I though I could test 14 days after which is 10.4 but the Re office told me to wait til 10.6 but Af is dur 10.8??? Im lost and feeling depressed for another month!

Just hang in there. I'm a 30 day girl too. Unfortunately, the Dr.'s have no idea when to test exactly. Try on 10/6 and if you get a BFN, try again on the 8th. The most important thing is to relax and try not to stress out. I go in on Wednesday for u/s and hopefully IUI on Thursday. Then I'll start the 2ww. This will be my second IUI. The last BFN was a huge blow to my DH and I. I totally understand the lost and alone feeling. Just remember, you're not! We are all here for each other!

I haven't contacted my doctor yet. This morning I noticed light pink spotting when I wiped (TMI, sorry). I got sick again this morning. I felt terribly hot, got sick, and now I am cold. I know that Prometrium can cause nausea, vomiting, hot flashes. I am supposed to test again tomorrow, if AF doesn't come.
After that I will call the doctor.

I am on cycle day 33.  I tested again this morning, but it was still negative.
I only took clomid on days 3 through 7.  Then I started taking Prometrium 4 days after my IUI.  Tomorrow I will have taken prometrium for 2 weeks.  I got sick multiple times yesterday, but I am really afraid it is just a side affect of the prometrium.
I haven't called the doctor yet, but will shortly.
Last month my cycle lasted 36 days, the luteal phase being 18 days.  This month we changed the days I took the clomid, so I am not sure how long my cycle should be... I just know that it has been 17 days since my IUI.
Yesterday I noticed some light pink spotting, and today I am noticing light brownish pink spotting, but only after BM's.
I just wish that if I am pregnant it would show HPT already, if not, then I wish I would just start already.  This waiting/uncertainty is driving me crazy!

Hi my DH and I have been trying to conceive for about 3 years I had my second IUI this month and on day 13 past my IUI I had the worst pains ever AF started really really heavy and the pains where unbearable has anyone else ever had this happen with them? I went to my doctor and he said I may have had a cyst burst. I have taken this month off and my DH and I are trying to figure out if we want to go the same way again I was on clomid days 2-9 and then had to take 5 days of menopur last month.I did have two good follicles from it one 22mm and one 18mm. Can anyone give me any advice? I am so confused on what steps we should take. I am so glad I found this forum it is so hard to talk to people about this that have no idea what you are going threw.

I talked to my RE. She said that at this point it should have shown up on a test by now, and to stop taking the prometrium. If I don't start AF by Thursday, then I am supposed to re-test, and keep her posted. If it still shows neg, then she will send me in for a blood test.
She is concerned that there is something causing my luteal phases to be so long, so wants us to consider Laparoscopy surgery.
Has anyone had laparascopy surgery?

I had my IUI today, and went into it all excited b/c we had 4 follicles all about 20mm. So, of course, they tell us that DH's numbers washed were only 5million, which is crazy b/c they have always been so good. Always something, I guess. So, now I'm officially in the 2ww.

cb_hoping; I did have a lap about 2-3 weeks ago. It was not a big deal at all, and they found endo and scar tissue, so I'm glad I got it. I was uncomfortable for a few days, but fine otherwise. Don't give up hope yet, with my other pregnancies, I didn't get a positive until AF was like a week late, so it could just be that.....

I wonder if you shoudl ask your Dr about having your DH give samples a few times and test each sample to see which has the highest numbers, tehn they can freeze it so you know you will always have a good sperm count! I'm doing the donor sperm route so I only have the frozen sperm so it made sense to me for you??

Hope1127 - We are close! Tomorrow I will be 4dpiui. I know how crazy it can make you! This is the first month I am having zero symptoms, no cramping, no sore bbs so i don't get it? Try to keep busy and occupied (Yep, I know, way easier said right?)

I had a lap. surgery last year. They didn't find anything. I felt pain the day of the surgery. Next day I felt great. It was my first and only surgery so I was freaked out about it. Really no big deal though. Just take the drugs so you don't feel the pain!

Hi! I'm new to the forum, but to angelique1313, the pains may be due to the uterine lining being thicker due to all the medications. I know after my first clomid/IUI my AF was the most painful I had ever experienced in my life, and that was due to there being more lining.

DH and I have been TTC for almost three years. We had second cycle IUI on 9/19. I do clomid CD3-7, and u/s on CD12. I had three follicles, 2 on right (19mm & 21mm) and one on the left that was only 14mm. Today is 12 dpIUI, and the 2ww is very hard! To those of you in 2ww - keep positive, you can do it! I've had bb tenderness for 5 days now, and I started slight cramping on 5 dpIUI that lasted for 4 days, stopped for 2 and then started again (less intense though) yesterday - which was 11 dpIUI. I also started light pink spotting 11dpIUI, and today I woke up to a heavier, brownish spotting. The same thing happened around the same time of my 2ww in my first cycle of clomid/IUI, but I'm trying to stay positive! DH sperm count has been great both times, and there's really no explaination for our invertility except that my cervical mucus is thick, so that is why we're trying IUI to essentially bypass that part. I take HPT on 10/3, and I'm so nervous because my symptoms are similar to my first cycle on fertility treatments! The one difference is that I had a temperature shift from 69.9 to 98.2 on 8dpIUI (9dpHcg shot). Does anyone have an explaination to these symptoms??? well I was scheduled for CD10 bloodwork and u/s today...went yesterday for CD9 bloodwork and u/s...got to the Dr's this morning and was shocked to find out that my LH from yesterday was 50!!! So I had the Ovidrel shot at 7am and am scheduled for IUI at 4pm today and then again at 6:30am tomorrow!!! My Dr was shocked that my LH surged so early...I was on Letrozole from CD3-CD7 this cycle...this is the first cycle that I took Letrozol. Has anyone else ovulated earlier than "normal" when taking Letrozol?? I usually ovulate around CD14-16!!!!

Thank you for your advice. I have been on clomid for ever and this is the first time this has ever happened I thought I was dying the pain was so horrific. I figured when it was happening that is was from cyst but when they looked on ultrasound I only had one cyst and it should have been okay. So my doc said it may of been a cyst bursting and that the pain should go away with in a few hours he also said my ovaries where enlarged but he said that was normal with PCO. I don’t really know what happened I just know I hurt for days. However I am fine today besides emotions getting the best of me. I have only had two IUI and I am really unsure of how to proceed I know a lot of couples go through this 5-6 times before moving on. Up until my first IUI I had never even showed that I ovulated so I was so happy to finally see follicles and feel ovulation. I am thinking about trying the clomid one more time and if that does not work then going to shots. What treatments have you done? As for your temp rise I would say that is a good sign my doctor told me that after you ovulate if your temp stays elevated for more than 4 days there is a posibillity that you concieved. Last night after BM, I noticed bright red spotting, so I thought AF had arrived.  I took double the baby aspirin to help with my cramps, but this morning when I went to the bathroom- it was completely gone.  Normally my first day of AF is extremely heavy- then it goes light for 3 days.  I didn't even partially fill a tampon.  I don't understand this.
I didn't take the prometrium last night when I was going to bed, because I thought AF had started, but now I am worried.  What if I am, and it just isn't showing up on HPT yet?
I have been crampy- which I am not normally.  So I am using a heat pad to help.  I hate to keep calling the doctor, so I am going to see what happens today, and if nothing happens, then I will test again in the morning.

Went today for u/s. Found out this cylce of clomid produced nothing in either ovary, so no IUI this month. Has anyone else had problems with clomid consistantly producing follicles? I'm on 150mg on cd5-9. This is only our second attempt at IUI, for the past two years I've taken various doses of clomid. It has always been very inconsistant. I asked the Dr. about trying something different, and he told me he wanted to try this 2 more times. After 4 years of trying, I don't know if I can go through this two more times!

AF arrived today. I go back to RE on Friday. Hopefully this cycle I will get farther. Last cycle I had a 14 mm cyst and estradiol levels were too high so it got canceled. Thank you for the temp rise info from your doc. However, I think AF is here. The spotting has progressed to a light bleeding, but today is only 13 dpo. Tomorrow, I was supposed to check a hpt, so I'm wondering if I still need to do that. Anyway, we are very disappointed and do not understand why these things happen. I'm not sure we will be trying clomid or any fertility treatments again - at least for a little while. It's just so hard emotionally, going through all that at the beginning of the cycle, then waiting the 2 weeks, and to prepare yourself for the best, and the worst... it's just to difficult. We have to take each day at a time and keep living life to the fullest. Best of luck to you all and when we're ready to give treatments a try, I'll let you all know. So here is an update...I had my IUI at 5pm on Oct 1 which was only CD10.  I was on letrozole from CD3-CD7 and did Ovidrel injection at 7am the morning of the IUI.  While the IUI was being done I had some bleeding.  It wasn't too bad more like spotting until yesterday morning when I woke up and it was like a light period...so I called my Dr, I had to go and have a swap done to check for bacterial vaginosis!!!  Results could be back as early as today or as late as Monday.  So today the bleeding is the same.  Dr said not to worry unless there is cramping...no cramping however I am bloated and tender to the touch.  I am supposed to start prometrium today and I questioned the Dr and was told to take it starting today twice a day vaginally!!  Dr doesn't think that it is AF!!
This is only the second IUI I have had, the first was fine, no pain, no bleeding.  I am now second guessing the whole process.  If this cycle doesn't work Dr wants to do a cycle of birth control as I suffer from ovarian cysts!!!  To make matters worse we have decided not to tell anyone that we are doing fertility treatment so I only have this forum and my DH to talk to about it!!!  I am an emotional basket case and am wondering if this is worth the emotinal roller coaster!!!  We have been TTC for 6 years!!!

I start my meds (Menopur) tonight for the first time. I had u/s & bloodwork today. Everything looks good. Last month was canceled at this point because I had a 14 mm cyst and high estrogen levels. This month my estrogen level was half of what it was last month. I also started going to an acupuncture dr. It did help me relax but i am still very skeptical.

Tucker1974 - I'm so sorry you are going thru this, it's not easy. Something so "natural" as conceiving can be o complicated, difficult and frustrating! YES It is worth it, just keep thinking that..what we are all going thru is testing our strength but in the end when you have that little baby, this experience will fade I'm sure.

I understand how lonely it can be too. I'm doing thi on my own. No D or BF. At first I didn't tell anyone. But month after month with each BFN I got lonelier and lonelier and more down. I don't have anyone to talk to about it, so i decided to come on here and tell a few friends..it maks a BIG difference! hang in there ;)

cb_hoping - HOW are you??? What is the latest? Have you tested gain?? What has your Dr suggested? I', thining about you.

eclarky - How are YOU doing? You are now 4dpiui???

As for me, I am 7dpiui and find it very strange that I haven't had ONE twinge, cramp or whatever. With all my other IUIs I had cramping and sore bbs and felt weird. This one..nuthn! I'm wondering if I actually hd my IUI or if i dreamed it? Hoping this isn't a bad sign?

Well I am now 3 dpiui, started prometrium yesterday and the bleeding seems to have stopped, however now I am having pain on my right side, not constant only every once in awhile. I had a small cyst this month so I am wondering if it is that. I also have not heard back from the DR regarding the swap that I had done after the IUI!! I was tested for BV:( So I am thinking that this cycle is awash...however updating my temps today it shows that I ovulated on the same day that the IUI was performed...I don't know what to think...My DR assures me that it was not AF but I am skeptical...So now I have 13 days left to wait unless AF shows her ugly face...My DR has me wait 16dpiui before testing.

Hi there - yes, 5 dpiui and wondering how I'll make it! Bad cramping the first 2 days, but that is much better. Just trying to remain calm, which is impossible, but I'm pretty busy right now with work and life, so I'm hoping to keep my mind off things. I go on 10/14 for the hcg, I probably wont' test before, just 'cause my BFPs usually come so much later after AF is late. We'll see if I get antsy, though!

Hope you're doing okay! I wouldn't worry about the lack of symptoms, I really don't feel anything either. Keep the faith!!!

Well not this time for my BFP....Af showed her ugly face today so we will be heading for IUI number three sometime this month...I will start with Gonal F and Menopur this cycle on cycle day 3 (the first time for this combo)...I will keep you posted as we go down the line...:( Please keep posting...looking forward to reading so success stories that helps me to keep the faith!

what is bfp,bfn and diup? i just want to say Im on my fifth day since my iui and i don't feel right. in and out of depression for no apparent reason, chills, reserved, who reall knows. I guess i will find out if i am preggers in another 9 days. It may be the lovenox injections, but i was taking those shots prior to iui. i don't know if lovenox injections is a type of progesterone, but if it is that would explain the pregnancy symptoms.

i have been hearing that drinking lots of green tea increases the chances of conceiving. good luck to everyone.

bfn= big fat negative when taking a pregnancy test
bfp=big fat positive
dpiui=days past interuterine insemination
It took me a while to catch on the acronyms too. As for how you are feeling I think that everyone is a little different depending on the type and amount of hormones you are taking. I am currently 4 dpiui and I have no symptoms however I also has bleeding while the iui was performed and it lasted 3 days!! So I am not too hopeful this month. However last month I was an emotional basket case, I was on 100mg of prometrium/progesterone twicw daily until AF arrived...Hand in there and try to stay positive and keep your stress levels down. This is a great forum to have because we are all going through the same thing!!! How long have you been TTC??

Hello I never heard of Lovenox for fertility??? I am a cardiac nurse and we use that as a form for thinning blood??? Good luck and keep us posted...who knows whatthe magic combination will be...lol

Lovenox is a blood thinner. It is used for infertility when a blood clotting disorder is suspected. The Lovenox is used prophylactically so a fetus or embry implanting, does not miscarry due to possible clot! The Lovenox obviously would not cause the moods! 9dpiui...and the only symptoms I'm experiencing are sore bbs, lower achiness/cramping, stretching of the right & left abd, and constipation. As usual..sounds like pms symptoms but could all be + symptoms? Confused and patiently waiting the end of the 2ww! Best of luck and baby dust to all!

Thanks for your response. I don't know what ttc is but this is my second iui and switched to another doc . I am 5 dpiui. My first iui, i was on folitism and progesterone. I'll tell you, that progesterone gives you all the side effects that you would normally get during preg. As for your bleeding, It is common for you to bleed a lil on the first and second day, so don't think something went wrong. i heard that sometimes during the iui you can get scraped a bit inside, but not a big deal. 8 more days for me to find out if preggers. I hate to say this but i really wanted to do the ivf for twins. we will see.

try drinking alot of green tea.

We are on the same cycle it seems. I'm 9dpiui now. Exactly the same as you, I had zero symptoms, didn't feel anything after the iui etc. Today I woke up with slightly sire bbs and I'm kinda depressed..definitely feels like AF is on her way :(

The 2ww is the worst!!! TTC=trying to conceive. I have 11 days before I can test, I'm only 5 dpiui, my DR says to wait 16 days before testing...I hear you with the progestrone...I take it 2x daily vaginally...I causes all kinds of weird side effects...My DR will do IUI for 6 cycles and then after that if still not pregnant then consider doing IVF. The only thing is that our medical benefits don't cover anything to do with fertility so it is expensive...What is frusterating is that our infertility is unexplained and as we get older our chances of conceiving each cycle go down...I hear that Royal Jelly is also good to take when TTC, I asked my DR however she had never heard of it...depending on what happens this cycle I am considering taking it CD1 next month.

I just had my 1st iui 10/3. Very tired the next day and some minor cramping on both sides (I think where my ovaries are). The doc could only see 1 ovary with 1 20mm follicle (my left one hides) - I am hoping that we had a mature follicle on that side too. A little nauseous and sore nipples - but mostly just anxious for my 2ww to be over & time to test. What are good numbers for the progesterone test? Do higher numbers indicate pregnancy?

We are on the same cycle =-I had my 1st IUI 10.3 and am now 3 dpiui - the wait is tough! I have cramping, nausea & tender bb. I take progesterone test 10.10 - luck & gobs of baby dust to you!

i don't know what 10.3 is, but i am 6 dpiui and had the same symtoms as you on 3 dpiui.
Last couple of days i had slight fever off and on. This morning felt like elevated temp, and now feel mild lower back pain.Over all i feel fantastic!
If is happens, great. If not, i go into ivf next cycle.

I wish everyone here lots of luck. keep in mind that whatever outcome we all face is always for a reason. Lots of baby dust to everyone trying.

Progesterone doctors like it to be at least 15, especially with supplementation. I will do mine either Wednesday or Friday. I go in Wed for a post ovulation scan. They like to look and see if I have good corpus luteum which indicates they are producing progesterone. I am also on Crinone for progesterone support. Last month my Progesterone was 38, which was great. High number do not always indicate pregnancy. The progesterone is just insurance, if you are pregnant, that you won't miscarry due to low progesterone. One woman on this site, did have super high Progesterone, like 128 I think, and ended up she was pregnant. Did you do 1 or 2 IUIs?

Sore boobs so soon, for anyone, comes from the HcG trigger, as this is the pregnancy hormone! FYI

Talked to my Re today and going in tomoroow for monitoring to start Gonal F and Menopur mix should be going in for the third iui this time we will do it at 24 hours after Ovidril and then again at 36 hours after so I will keep all of you informed of the progress this month.

This is my first month using Menopur and being monitored. My estrogen levels on CD 3 was 55 then today CD 6 they were 107. Is this normal?? I go back on Wed. for u/s and estradiol levels. Good luck to everyone this month!

This is my story. I have been sorta trying off and on for 4 years. Now I decided not to mess around anymore with time and get serious about getting pregnant. Out of the three iui's in the past 2 years , the first one was a waste due to timing ovulation and the doctor didn't seem to care much. The second iui, was done with different doctor. She decided to go out of the country and had her NURSE perform the iui on me knowing that I had over stimulated" what are they thinking???" They told me to take the month off without any explanation. soon after, i put two and two together and confronted the docter. I also told her the progesterone burned me and i was in so much. Stupid me, i gave her another chance. Iui # 3 went better as far as timeing, but she put me back on the progesteron after telling her my experience. They didn't care. I was just another # to them. She was all about money.I tossed her *** out and gave that office a piece of my mind. Now, i'm seeing this amazing doctor who gave my sister twins. I trust him completely. From diagnosis to his bedside manners. He is outstanding. So we will see what miracle he will perform on me.

We only did 1 iui and are not doing any progesterone supplementation. Thanks for the info - I was thinking the symptoms were from the Ovidril - just over-thinking it. Good luck to you this cycle.
