Hey there -- I am 8dpo today and yesterday I had the worst cramps in my lower left side and back and my bbs don't feel very good either -- they are sore and feel kinda tingly pins n needles type pains.  Gosh I hope this is it for us -- when are you going to test?

DPO means days past ovulation.   I have not been on any meds for 3 months now.  I don't really feel sick after I eat.  But I noticed that smells are gagging me -- people in work keep using the microwave and it all smells bad to me.  I hope it is not my mind playing tricks on me.  I will probably start testing this weekend because I just can't help mydelf.  LOL

I am also 8dpo. My doctor thinks that i may of  ovulated before my iui, because one of my follicals went missing the next day.From my calculations, my dh and i had sex right before that one follicle dissappeared, and for the one i had left i was given a shot to ovulate. So we will see the outcome too. If i get BFN, i'm going to my original plan IVF baby!

Ha -- I thought mine were looking different I just asked DH that question last night it looked like my nipples were swollen -- but I am not so sure they look like that now.  LOL  I am just going to have to wait and see what happens -- I ordered those early pregnancy test strips from early pregnancy test.com -- they came today -- so I will start using them tomorrow  -- they are suppsed to detect the hcg as low as 20 or 25 cant remember which one it is -- but I got 25 of them for $20 so we will see what happens with them.

this is my first post ever so bare with my ignorance on some of the abbreviations.  I have figured out what BFN and BFP mean, but what does the abbreviation stand for??
I am just starting my 2ww.  I did my trigger shot on Sunday, 10/5 and my IUI yesterday 10/7.  DH and had sex late sat night and then again last night after the IUI, we will again tonight just to be safe.
I know the hormones have been pretty rough for me. I have PCOS and my RE started me really slow on Follistim, 75 IU, then all the way up to 225 IU for the last 10 days.  My total follies before IUI were 4 on left, 2 on right although unless one of the 2 on the right cross over I am not counting on them as my right tube (what is left of it after having a cyst removed) is completely blocked.  I was on injections for a total of 16 days and my belly is bruised.... ouch!
I am hoping and praying this is it for us, after 4 years of trying I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Welcom...BFN is BIG FAT NEGATIVE and BFP is the exact oppostie (what we are all looking for) BIG FAT POSITIVE. I also have PCOS so I can relate and due to having an eptopic preg on my left I only have my right tube. I am doing my injections again and getting ready for our 3rdiui this time we will do it for the first time using Gonal F 150 and 2 vials of Menopur for six days to start. I go back on Monday to check progress...so good luck and keep us posted!

So ok, this is only 1dpiui and I am already ready to pee on a stick, even though I know full well it will do me no good!!!  
Being as I have not had AF on my own very much for most of my adult life (since age 15)I am not used to what are considered "normal hormonal shifts" and I do not feel well.

I have PCOS like many of you do.  I just went to dr. today.  I have 4-5 little follicles on the right ovary and 2 (15mm & 12mm) on the right.  I go back on Friday and he said probably do the IUI this weekend.  I am only on CD 8 today it seems really early to do the IUI.  I am on 2 vials of Menopur (first month) and should be giving myself the HCG shot on Friday.  This is my first month with new RE and so much monitoring.  I feel very positive about this month bringing me a BFP!  Good luck to everyone.

I'm sorry, but i don't know ANYTHING on PCOS--I have done foltism 75iu and those nasty vaginal progesterone.  to make a long story short--I was overstimulated,doc had nurse do my iui because she was out of the country---what a joke--right? and the progesterone gave me ALL the pregnancy symptoms.I
Now, I am with a male doc and have complete trust in him.

as fas as testing day 1, I really think it would be a waste. we are here to support each other and share the experiences we are all having during the long wait.Everone wants the BFP.  LOTS OF LUCK TO YOU!!!

I know it would be a waste to test today, I am not going to.... I just hate the waiting game...
I am feeling very hopeful though, I love my RE and his entire staff.... that really is key for me in keeping my stress down through all this, is the great staff.  As a matter of fact, I opted to have my favorite nurse do the IUI as the Dr was in an appointment with a new patient (I saw them go in and recognized that hopeful yet scared look on his and her faces). The way I look at it is that the nurse who did mine has been doing them for over 20 years, just as long as he has so why not!  As long as the catheter got in there I was happy.  She told me my cervix was placed perfectly and I was already "soft and parted" at the opening, so she told me I was physically as prepared as I ever would have been.
Cool thing is, hubby actually got to watch the insertion of his little guys.  Hmmm, so he knows what my cervix looks like,  and I don't.  Oh well, as long as we got to be together and he was fascinated through the process.

After reading some of your posts, i wondered why you didn't swich doc. I don't want to seem negative, but don't the follicals need to be at least 18-21mm. I'm confused.
my doc didn't want any follicals less than 18mm--18mm was even small to him. He  needed a certain amount of follicals and a certain size for ivf. I had 1 18mm and 20 or 21 and one went missing. The others were smaller.He cancelled ivf cycle and did iui. Npw, i am 9 dpiui. My temp this morning was 98.3
I just started trying the temp.LOLOLOL

This is just my opinion through experience. There is a big difference--to me anyway.
when my doc did the insemination, it felt so different than the others. he was taking his sweet time. I felt lke he was putting a jewel in me

my doc wont let his nurses touch the patients unless she's giving you a shot.
when i saw this, i was very impressed.

we spend alot of money trying to concieve. why would you want a nurse to do his job? He is suppose to make sure everything is going smoothly.  it's suppose to be quality of patients. Not quantity. It's not just about trying certain drugs.
The number 1 important thing is Diagnosis.

I am very happy with my dr!  Follicles grow 1-2mm everyday so by the time Friday comes around.  My follicles will probably be about 18-20mm.

I certainly would not have had the nurse do the IUI if I didn't feel comfortable with her doing it.  Like I mentioned she has done them for over 20 years.  
As far as diagnosis, I know what it wrong with me, I have known it for 7+years.  That is why it has taken me a while to find a top guy in my area.  Luckily he was co-author on the originally discovering of the use of Metformin with PCOS patients.  I am in excellent hands.  As far as the quality of patients not quantity that IS not the issue here at all.  I remember mine and DH first appointment and as I mentioned I noticed that same scared look on their face as I know we had.  I would not have liked it if my Dr was pulled out of my consultation.  
Margie (the nurse) was absolutley wonderful.  Remember, I opted for her. She took her time, as I explained she let me husband see what was being done, after checking with me first.   She talked me through every step as she did the procedure.  She is the one who has always held up the most hope for me and picked me up several times when, due to my PCOS my estradiol levels bounced all over the place and I was feeling hopeless.

So--- KUDOS to Margie for doing my insem and making me feel like I was the only one in the world that mattered.  My RE is awesome and has the best nature about him and also makes me feel like I am the only thing that matters when he is with me.  It was due to our  "wash" that our appointment got delayed so I wasn't pulling him from another frightened couple.

I wanted to add my two cents, I too, prefer my nurse who has also been doing IUIs and infertility for many years! She is much more explanatory and gentle! I also rely on the expertise and research of my doctor, but prefer my lovely Scottish nurse!

I am 7 dpiui, I too have the nurse perform the insemination...she is gentle, explains the process as well calls after to see how I am feeling...I am skeptical this month as I had bleeding for 4 days after iui...I have been on prometrium since Friday.  I have to go next week and have an internal as well as pap as the swab last week came back normal.  I had to have a swab as RE thought that I had BV...RE thinks that I may have had a polyp on my cervix and it was irritated by the catheter...RE was almost positive that it was not AF as that was my concern...

Sagebrush: I had my iui performed on CD 10 this month which I was completely in shock over I thought that it was way too early but according to the U/S and BW everything was showing that it was time to so IUI...I was on letrozole from CD 3 to CD 7.  I had Ovidrel injection the morning of the IUI...so I am 7 dpiui and CD 17...according to my BBT and Ovulation charting I had the iui on my day of ovulation!!!!  My only concern is the bleeding that I experienced...Good luck with everything this weekend!!!

I had my third round of IUI on September 26, 2008 so I am 14 dpiui and have no sign of AF.  I had three eggs one of which was ok and the other two were great.  My husband has a low count, which is our main problem.  I have been feeling cramps for the last couple of days and my boobs are a little more sensitive.  I am going to test on Thursday after I ensure that I am not going to start. Not righr now.  I had 200mg clomid days 5-9 and an 10,000 hcg shot 36 hours befor ovulation.  I have had a child by regular conception before so the main problem my doc see's is my husbands low count.  I am not ready to do invitro so I hope this works out for me this time.

start taking your temp a week before period to get a idea on what our cover line is. right before ovulation your temp will drop then rise high. Daybefore it rises high is your peak day. After that rising temp, is where it should remain elevated.

You need to use a basal thermometer as it is more sensitive to shifts in your temp.  You start on cycle day 1 and take it then waking the same time every day.  There is a great website you can sign up and it's free and it tracks your temps that you enter as well as other fertility signs such as cervical mucus, cevix position, it tracks meds you are taking, your mood, it tracks your entire cycle it even tells you when you are close to ovluating, when to expect AF everything!!...it's great I've been using it for over six months and I think it is easy...the thermometer costs between $10-$15 but it has to be a basal thermometer.

I go tomorrow for u/s & bloodwork again.  My follicles were 12mm & 15mm on Wed. and my estradiol was @ 147.  So hopefully tomorrow they have grown bigger and my estrogen levels should be higher.  The dr. is thinking that sometime this weekend I will be having the IUI.  Wishing for good news tomorrow!

Well no IUI for me yet again, I had a 21mm and a 22 mm folicle today at my ultrasound but they were on the right side which is coiled and to much a a tubal risk, I am really bummed I had my first and only IUI august and then Sept and October no IUI. Back on Clo-mood AKA Clomid for me next cycle.

Well I had my IUI done on tuesday, so that makes me what 3dpiui.  I did have some cramping and that got progressively worse and yesterday it was almost unbearable... I mean tylenol every 4 hourd, heating pad and DH rubbing my lower back because I almost couldn't breath kind of pain.  Did my suppository last night, went to bed early... this morning. Nothing, and I mean nothing.  What does this all mean????  Why does this have to be so hard????  My boobs are still swollen and very tender but that is about all and I think that is from the progesterone.   I have to wait until the 21st to test, this is going by so slow.

Hi guys, well this morning took temp and it went back up to 98.1 then took another one and it just said "Hi" It's not the basal kind. i am going to buy the right kind today. 15 min later i took another temp--- house  in the morning is very cold, so when i took my hands and feet out of the covers i took  temp and went back down to 97.7--same thing happened yesterday.  i don't know what to think of it, but i am definitley not getting my hopes up.  One thing i like about the temps is when you see your temp dropping , your not as dissapointed as you would normally be if taking the hpt test. my boobs are still big.  As far as meds go, I'm just taking 1 shot of lovenox, baby aspirin and prenat every night. first time taking this drug with iui

Well my follicle is 22mm now.  I had another one but it disappeared.  Tonight I am giving myself the HCG shot (actually my mom is because DH has to work).  Hoping it doesn't hurt!  The bigger needle kind of scares me.  Then I go in on Sunday for the IUI.  Hoping my DH can perform good too.  He quit smoking and has been taking vitamins so hopefully everything will work out.  I think this is going to be my lucky month.  Is anyone else having an IUI soon or just had one?

You need to be using a basal thermometer as it is more sensitive to changes...also you are to be using your temperature upon waking after at least 3 hours of sleep.  If you take it too many times you are going to drive yourself crazy...LOL aren't we all...Check out www.fertilityfriend.com, it also has a fertility course that you can take and it will explain alot to you...it is free, you can also track your temps, CM, mood, etc...Hope this helps, I have been TTC for 6 years and just started fertility treatments last month as I suffer from ovarian cysts...Good Luck to you!!!

98.1 was my waking temp after 8 1/2 hrs of sleep. the second on was 15 min later, and that was just for fun.

i'm not going crazy over this. I never wanted to do the iui. I was suppose to do the IVF, instead my dr. wanted to do iui.
no big deal if big mama AF wants to come. She can come one more time.LOL

How many dpiui are you now 10?  Could be implantation bleeding.  Your temp is at least up from 10/9...Don't give up hope yet.  Although I am glad to see that you have a positive attitude even if AF does rear her ugly head.... Keep us posted.

Welcome!  I will be having my IUI tomorrow morning.  Yes the cramping is normal after IUI.  My doctor said that sometimes your nerves are hit near the cervix which causes the cramping.  Each IUI is very different for me.  First one I felt very little cramping afterwards.  Second one I just wanted to die I was in some much pain and discomfort.  I even vomited before leaving Dr. office.  Tomorrow is with a new DR. so I am hoping that I have a good experience.  I am also on different meds which should help.

oh hello all, forgot to mention i m on prometrium since day 4 after iui and its 200mg 3 times a day, so i dont know whether this cyle is going to be positive. since last 3 cycles my periods have been irregular, i usually feel tried and body is warm when close to period. someone pls guide me. have hpt but dont have the strength to read the results

It's saturday and AF showed up.  I think they went conservative with the drugs to see how my body reacts. What was weird about my iui is that i had the symptoms and was not on progesterone. Sometimes when perm  penetrates into the egg,and then ready to attach itself to the uterus it cant hatch because of the outer shell being think, but with IVF/ISCI, they are able to thin the outer layer so it easily attaches itself.  This was my first visit with my sisters dr. so, Now i have to call them monday morning to let them know nothing happened.  I really, really hope nothing goes wrong with IVF / ISCI. That would really put me down.  it is expensive and nothing for me to joke around with.  LOT'S OF BABY DUST TO EVERYONE. :0))

Well, today is 15dpiui (28th day of my cycle) no AF yet but a BFN!!! I tested this morning thinking maybe, just maybe this would be the month! My question now is, my AF usually shows up earlier, around day 26. I was on 50 mg of Clomid this cycle and wondering if the meds slow everything down? Does it make your AF show up later? Then again, it could be the stress of this whole thing..

I am 4dpiui and am counting down the days until the test.  I took follistim shots and then did the ovidrel to through my body into ovulation.  (I have been diagnosed with PCOS.)  Since the IUI, I have been taking the progesterone suppositories.  I have some minor cramping, especially on left side, my bbs feel very sensitive and I'm very bloated.  No bleeding though.  Not even after the procedure.  Is this normal?  Have any of you felt the same?  Hopefully, these are all good signs!!  We have been trying for 2 years.

I had my IUI this morning which went really well.  Just a little cramping but other than that I feel really good.  My DH had 24 mil. after wash.  My follicle was 22 mm.  So everything looked really good.  I even had good cervical mucous.  I need to take the HCG shot on 10/15 & 10/18.  Does anyone know what this is for?  I thought that I was done with the shots.  Then I go in to check progesterone levels on 10/20.  Hopefully I will be posting a BFP in 2 weeks.

Hello yes all the things that you are feeling are totally nomal post iui things....The 2 wk wait is the killer just don't become pee stick addictive it willl drive you crazy. I will be going later this week for my third iui but with a new mix of meds....good luck and keep us posted.

HcG after IUIs, are boosters to increase progesterone production in the body. This "booster" tricks the body into thinking you are pregnant so the body produces more progesterone. The booster does stay in so do not do HPT or you will get false postive. Good luck. I am 8/9 DPIUI and don't feel much of anything. I am supposed to go in Thursday to test. Will just test at home.

helllo, BFN - didn't work this time too. the nurse called in and the blood test is negative. feeling miserable as usual. am off prometrium for now and have to call in as soon as i get my next period. the nurse did not tell me why it did not work. does any one know any particular reason. i followed everything as told but still no luck....is there any thing i should do to be extra careful ?

sorry to have gone mia. i had my lap on sept 2nd and all went well. i started gonal-f injections and on cd 10 we did our 1st iui after surgery.(technically our 3rd since ttc) i responded very well and by cd9 2 of the 8 follies were 18.5mm so i triggered that nite and had the iui. dh had 84million and 64% were moving fast. so i really am trying not to think about every little sign but since like the 2nd day piui i have had really sore,heavy breasts/nipples and i never had it before so is it from the trigger or an early coception sign? hhmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!

After experiencing all the side effects after iui, the only thing i would really rely on is the daily waking temp. Nothing else, because you can get the BFT without any symptoms.


One of us in the group needs to get the BFT to create a domino effect to the rest of the group.

We should all try to drink alot of green tea. One cup a day. I'm going to drink two cups a day and i'm also going to start doing breathing excercise starting monday.  That will put alot more oxygen into my system. I think it's worth a try.

Hi everyone, like all of you I am on my 2 ww also.  Lets start out by giving you a postive story.  I tried to conceive for like 2 yrs and decided to see a Specialist in 04.  I took clomid for months (on and off because of cysts) and never got pregnant.  By the way, I have pcos.  Well we finally switched to Follistim with IUI in December of 05 and I got pregnant first try and I have a beautiful 2 yr old.  Well I am now back trying all this again.  I had my 1st IUI on 10/4/08 and am allowed to test on 10/18.  Its hard to remember how I felt symptom wise back in 05 though.  All I know is the bb's are sore... kind of like after having a baby.  Keep your heads up... it does work.  Oh yeah, on 10/2 I had 2 follicles.. one was 19 and one was 14 so we did 225 follistim that night and triggered 10/3 with the IUI on 10/4.

I also have PCOS and take 2000 mg of Metformin along with prenatal vitamins and bromocriptine (parlodel) This is my 3rd IUI and my second with injectables but this is the first time with this mix of the Gonal F, Menopur, and Ovidril. The first IUI was with femara then just Gonal f for the second (only had 1 good follicle) now this.

If this is a bust the next mix we will add is Clomid from CD's 3-7 with the mix above??? Anyone had that mix before?

RE puts you on Birth control before IVF to help prevent cysts before you start your IVF cycle.  This is a normal practice.  I know it sounds kind of weird being on birth control while trying to get pregnant.

hi everyone, got off the prometrium yesterday, waiting for the first day of my period so the second iui can begin !! spoke to the nurse today and she told me it sometimes takes time for the iui to suceed in the first try. so i m hopeful for the second try.  how many cylces of iui should i try before switching to ivf? any idea...i think i want to try atleast 3-4 before ivf. but m not sure.

I have survived the 2ww and am now 8 days past iui. I have experienced so many symptoms from crams, sore boobs, back pain, integestion, headaches, and my  temp after 3 hours of sleep was 99.11. I feel in my gut I could be getting the BFP soon but I don't want to jinx myself and go ahead and test. AF is due in two days. I hope all the symtoms are due to being PG not AF. Good luck to all of you. I will say a prayer for us tonight. I know God is going to bless us all with our beautiful miracles.

Well I am exactly half way through my 2WW.
First 3 or 4 days were pretty rough, really bad cramps, bloating, sore bbs and nips. Then on Sunday all symptoms started to fade away, except for being so damn tired.
A little bit ago, I just started getting some mild cramping back, different than before though.  Not sure what this means???

Ok so I am now 8 days past IUI almost halfway through the TWW. I am still having alot of the same sypmtoms. Kinda bumbed this morning because my BT dropped to 97.9. Is this your first round of treatments? I did follistim for the first time last cycle. I did 5 days of femara followed by five days of follistim. I was nervous at first because I hate needles but after the 2nd day it was smooth sailing. RE says if AF doesn't come this month they are going to up my doseage of follistim. I pray it doesn't come to that!!

I have never done the temperature thing.  Does it really work or only for some people?  I read online it doesnt work for everyone.  I am 10 days into my long 2ww.  My bb's are sore at times but I have a lot of pain in my lower back and a little cramping.. not bad cramping though.  Not sure if this is a good sign or bad... we will see on Saturday if I am as lucky as last time... crossing my fingers again and also for everyone else out there.

Hi All.. This is my first cycle of Femara, but my Dr started it very late in my cycle CD 24 (has anyone else started it so late??)

This is be my first IUI as well. How many days after the 5 day course of Femara can the IUI be done? I will probably opt for the HCG shot.

Also, can me and hubby make love while on femara? or is it better not to? Just concerned cause the doc said the spermm sample DH gives has to be after 3-7 days of last ejaculation.

Well AF was due to come today and so far nothing. I feel in my gut that I am pg so I am just going to keep on  praying because I know God knows what He's doing. How comes your AF was due already but you are only 10 days past iui?  Am I missing something?  I am 12 days past IUI so you and I are almost on the same track.  My cramps are gone today and I woke up with a headache so I am not sure if thats a good sign or not.  Also usually around the time AF comes my face breaks out and really it didnt too bad this time and its cleared up now.  Good luck I will pray for you and please pray for me.  :o)

Congratulations.  Did you use injectibles?  Thats awesome that it worked for you.  The 2ww is soo slow lol.  You know you think I would know the signs from last time when I got pregnant with my daughter but that was in 05 and its really hard to remember from back then.  On another note, I do remember last yr around this time somehow I got pg on my own without trying and I had cramps and thought af was coming like normal but it never came... unfortunately my one time of getting that way on my own ended up being a molar pregnancy which sucked big time but I still feel grateful that one time in my life I could take that pregnancy test not even thinking I was pg and it coming up positive... was an awesome feeling.  Thanks for the encouraging words.  I was told my Dr to poas on Saturday the 18th... nervous and hopeful

I need help!!  Has anyone felt these symptoms?
I am currently 8dpiui.  Yesterday around lunchtime, I started to feel really shaky and kind of dizzy, lightheaded.  My stomach also felt kind of weird.  After I ate lunch, it went away a little, but pretty much stayed with me all night.  This morning, I woke up and felt fine.  Again, around lunchtime, I started to feel dizzy, lightheaded and shaky.  I called the nurse and she told me it could be several things, but until we do the test on the 23rd, she couldn't tell.  Has anyone felt this way?  I thought maybe I was getting sick, but it is weird that I feel fine in the morning and then it hits me in the afternoon.  I'm so confused!  I would appreciate any comments!! Ugghh!! These 2 weeks are killers!

Mine are usually regular as long as I ovulate, which I did since I did the injectables and the HCG trigger.  I am 13 dpiui and still no AF.  I have a little pain on the right side but that was the side with no mature follicles and a nice cyst so I am sure thats why I have the pain there.  I am beginning to think this did work.  BB's are sore on and off.... I just feel different.  I could have tested this morning since it was 14 days after the hcg trigger but I am waiting until tomorrow which is 14 dpiui just to be safe.  Wish me luck for a BFP.  I thought for sure AF would be here by now but now I am beginning to think I am pregnant.  I will be surprised if I am not.  Cant wait.  Everyone please cross your fingers for me.  I will let you all know tomorrow.  Good luck to all!

I had on IUI with one tub blocked in Aug and it was BFN.  Doctor recommended to jump to IVF so this month will be our first IVF cycle.  Hope last cycle.

Well just got back from RE for CD3 U/S...and I'm on B/C for the month as I have cysts on BOTH ovaries this month!!!  So I am bummed out to have to wait another month...I guess after 6 years one more month won't hurt...LOL
I also started on Royal Jelly this month...I read that it helps increase fertility...at this point I will try anything...

hello ladies I have been reading all your posts and I am crossing my fingers and praying for all that are in there TWW.  Like all of you I am excited because 2mrrow is my first IUI. I go in early in the morning so I cant wait.  The Dr. kind of confused me because she said depending on how things look tomorrow I might have to go on Monday for round 2.  I did not give myself the trigger shot and she said maybe tomorrow.  Has anyone ever heard of this?  Shouldn't I give myself the trigger shot before the insemination?  I don't know can someone please help me out?

Usually they like to do the trigger shot like 24-36 hours before the IUI.  My Dr. has me do it like 27 hours before and it worked the first time with my daughter.  That just sounds really weird.  I think I would question it.  They say that washed sperm doesnt live as long as normal sperm so it may only live 24 hours but I think it can live up to like 48 hrs but still this is your money and I would question as to why they arent having you do the trigger at least 24 hrs before.  Sounds to me like they are just charging you or your insurance for an extra IUI that may be needless being the fact that you didnt do the trigger shot.

I found it weird also that is why I am asking.  I had a failed IVF a couple of months ago and I remember they had me do the trigger shot.  I wasn't sure if maybe because it was IUI it was going to be a little different.  I will ask them in the morning as to why.  It was also a different DR I saw today.  As if going through this whole process is not hard enough you would figure they would be a little consistent.  The good thing about my insurance is that I have a couple of IUI's covered so I am hoping that this will work.  I am glad to hear that there was an actual successful 1st time IUI.  I will keep everyone posted on my TWW countdown.  I am so glad to have found this forum.  Thanks.

Hey there - just wanted to let you know that I had my first IUI this month and they were not sure whether or not I would have to do a trigger shot.  If I started to ovulate on my own which they could predict based on the bloodwork and the ultrasounds then I wouldn't have to use the trigger shot to force me to ovulate.  Since I got to about day 18 w/o and LH surge, they did end up having me do the trigger shot about 36 hours before my IUI.  Hope that helps.  I'm currently DPIUI 11 so I'm busy waiting....not much fun!  Good luck!

Hello,txs for the message. No, it was a natural cycle for me, i had to do the trigger shot 24hrs b4 IUI but that was on daay 12 and was inseminated on both days 13 & 14.

Hello All, txs u all for the congrt. messages, its really nice meeting you all, i actually found this site after my insemination, infact 10 days after i was still have serious cramps and thot AF was here early, but on 3 diff. occassions i checked and was still dry, i decided to read up articles on the internet, and so u can imagin how relieved i was reading this wonderful messages of hope from all u wonderful pple, that kept me strong till day 14 when i did the blood test and got result. The moral of this is that in as much as we are waiting for our prescious babies to come, we all still have so much strenght in us, that we dont know we are giving strenght to others just by sharing our experiences, this is a miracle and i will always remember u all in my prayers, i will also be here to encourage as much as i can and feel free to ask me any question if it will help . Ok back from Re's office after having secon IUI done today. DH's count was 36 million, 92% motility and 36% morph. RE said thats a good count considering the IUI yesterday and intercourse last nigh then the IUI this a m...so we are now officially in the 2WW game!

Hi, I am new to this site, but have felt at home while reading your posts.  I had iui in 10/6 after clomid 100mg day 5-9 and hcg shot 24 hrs prior to iui.  I had 2 follicles.  I have had some symptoms, but I am wondering if I they are real this early--acid reflux type taste in my mouth and gaggy in the evenings for the past 6 days.  I know we juat all want to be pregnant soooo badly---why does it have to be so difficult??

You and I are pretty close on our IUI's.  I had mine done on 10/7 after follistim and ovidrel.
I have had some symptoms too and can't help but wonder if they are real or from the prometrium.  Did your dr put you on progesterone after the iui?

I am 5 dpIUI and counting!  My DH will give me my last HCG shot tomorrow.  My RE has me take 2 more HCG shots after IUI.  Then Monday I go for bloodwork to check Progesterone levels.  Hopefully this will work this time.  I am on completely different meds which should help.

My doc has not had me on any meds post iui--he said to take hpt in 14 days and call.  This was our first iui and I think our only--my DH leaves for active duty in January, but is actually already predeployed.  So I guess if I am not preg right now our next step is IVF.

I have my fingers and toes crossed for all of us and am praying!!!

Got my AF yesterday, 15 DPIUI! I was going to give up and stop but I have more medicine here, so I decided to do , yet another month! I will start my shots tomorrow night, anyone with me?

I haven't really had too many symtoms. The main one I've had is I get a craving for something and when I eat it I feel sick to my stomach. And my body temp has been higher than normal.

Guess what everyone?!?!?!  I took a a hpt this morning around 5:30 and it was a BFP.  YAYAYAYAY.  Everyone out there please keep your hopes up.  IUI does work.  This is my second pregnancy with it working on the first try.  I have a 2 yr old daughter from the first one.  We are on a roll now everyone and I am sure you will all be following with a BFP.  I had 2 follicles, one was 19 and the other was 14.  They had me take 225 follistim that night after the ultrasound to try to get that second one to mature.  My husbands count was 13.9 million. Keep all your heads up.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Hello everyone.  I  went in this morning for my IUI and doc told me to do the trigger shot tomorrow at 9 am.  On Monday I go back for the second one.  I hope myself and everyone else on here the very best of luck in getting our baby(ies) and I am praying for us.  LOTS AND LOTS OF BABY DUST our way.

Congrats!! I am on my second IUI and 13 days past. I go tomorrow for my blood work. And I am anxious! We have been waiting for 4 years for this! The first was disappointing. I have the same question what symptoms are you having???

I tested this morning and I was 14 days past iui.  I usually break out (pimples) right before I get af and well this time I did a little but it was over a week ago and went away so that was one sign I thought that was different and bb's were sore.  I just had that feeling.  I had some cramping early in the week and then it totally went away on like Wednesday or Thursday and still no AF those days so I was pretty certain but didnt want to get my hopes up and have it be negative.  Now I am over one hump and am waiting to go to the doctor for bloodwork and to make sure the sac is there and in the right place.  My last pregnany with IUI went great... didnt gain any weight although I had a low birth weight baby but then my last pregnancy this time last yr was on our own and was a molar pregnancy so that really sucked but I am confident things will work as good as they did with my daughter.  Good luck to all.  We are on a roll now and we will keep this going with all of us.

I am feeling kinda down right now. My DH and I were having quality time earlier and afterwards i noticed some spotting a light pink. I am sad now because I think AF is on here way. I hope not though!! If so I guess I am just mentally preparing myself for the 2nd cycle. This is all just so draining.

Soory to hear she showed her ugly face. I am only 3dpiui and 2dpiui for the back to back treatments...I am trying not to count the days but its pretty hard. I know the closer I get the worse it will get...I refuse to become a pee stick addict though! Keep us iin your prayers and we will continue to do the same

Diregards I can be a little off sometime...I see that you did do IUI and had the two follicles sorry again...I also see what meds you took so I guess I am asking is sore boods your first and only symptom? And when did that start how many days past IUI?

I would say the sore boobs started about 8 or 9 days past iui.  But really that doesnt mean anything necessarily because I dont remember having any symptoms with my daughter and also I had implantation bleeding with her 14 days piui and thought for sure it was AF but obviously it wasnt cause shes here.  I didnt have implantation bleeding this time.  I did have some cramping like 9 days piui and then it just stopped in like 2 or 3 days which I thought was a good sign cause usually when I get AF the cramps last all the way up until I get it.  You just will have that feeling.  I had the feeling I was but didnt want to get my hopes up too much so I sort of stayed quiet.  Also, after the cramps went away I was waking up with headaches which they say is a sign.  I am sure you are going to get pregnant with at least one with all those follicles.  Do you know how thick your lining was.  Mine was like 13 or something.

No I am not sure they never mention the thickness but I did not do Clomid but the Gonal F and Menopur I am not sure if they even have a thinning effect like Clomid?

HI I am new to the site and reading all of your comments has been very comforting for me.  I am 2 dpiui and in the 2ww.  I am hoping for the best.  I had awful pains and it hurt to move after the IUI...must've been opvulation since I had a lot of eggs.  I can't believe how much it hurt.  It is better but not gone yet.

I am 12dpiui and AF showed this morning!  I'm very disappointed!  I am trying to think positive and since this was our 1st time, maybe it will happen next time.  I go in on Wednesday to start with BW and U/S all over again.  I will be doing the Follistim injections again.  What a bummer!!

Reading what you all write is so helpful.  This is my first iui and i'm 7dpiui.  I was on follistem then ovidrel and now the endometriun suppositories 2xdaily.  I went in this morning for my progesterone check and hope it where it should be.  I had 15 follicles, 4 matured.  1-18,1-17,2-16.  Financially this is the last month for us to be able to ttc.   We've been trying for 1 1/2 yrs, dh has low count(7million), 3million at iui.  I already have a beautiful 41/2y.o son naturally we just wanted another child.  Congrats to all w/BFP.  Any opinions on my chances since I checked out fine?  I'm truying to think positive.  Dr said I can do a hpt sunday the 26th. HMMMM

Well everything comes in 3's you know. So there should be at least 1 more BFP coming up with one of you guys in your tww.... but you know there is always a chance for more.  I called the Fertility clinic this morning she said I was the first to call and 2 more called after me with BFP's so that just goes to show ya.  I went in for beta and I am waiting on the nurse to call me with the results.... I am praying things are ok.

I had 10 on my left which I have no tube but 11 on the right where my tube is good to go...three of them were 17's and this is our third IUI and the first time back to back...which meds did you use?

Hello, well on Sat. I had my first then I did the trigger shot yesterday morning and today I had a follow up iui.  I have to go in tomorrow to see if I ovulated then we will take it from there.  Hope we continue with the positives and I hope that ugly witch does not show her face anymore to any of us wanting precious babies.

Thatks for the luck.  I used follistem, ovidrel and now endometriun suppositories.  good luck on yours.  My bbs are so sore.  I've been taking my temp ans its always hi(98.3-99.5)  The nurse this mornig says that means nothing.  I'm so confused.

Got my results from HCG today (BFP).  It was 97.  The nurse said they like it to be around 100 right around the 1st day of your missed period which would have been yesterday.  She said it doesnt sound like a tubal or a low number which would show a miscarriage so that is a big YAY.  I go back Wednesday to make sure its doubling.  I will be so more at rest once I get those results.  I checked my HCG level from when I got pregnant with my daughter and at 17 dpiui it was 157 and this is only 16 dpiui and its 97 so that sounds right on track.  All of you are still in my prayers.

You are on track with our son I found out we were PG 6 days after af was due and it was about 560 and teo days laster we were at 2000 so keep us informed and again Congrats....onece you here the pitter patter of that heart beat it will make you feel so much better!
