I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I would get a second opinion. I don't why a doctor would say "Don't worry about not having a period for a year". I am not a doctor but there should be something that can be done to help regulate you and get you back to normal.

I am sorry for your loss. Just to be clear, you havent had a period for a year? If that is the case, you may be experiencing Asherman's  Syndrom (syndrome). Sometimes a repeated D&C proceure leaves a scar tissue in the uterus and if the scar tissue blocks your cervix, you will get period sysmptoms, withput any blood coming out. I would definitely go to a better doctor. I am not a doctor, but from personal experience the first thing a doctor should do in such a case is to do a saline hysterescopy to see inside your uterus and make sure your linnings and cervix is fine. If there are fertility clinics nearby, you can even make an appointment with them.

I would switch drs without hesitation. A year is not normal. Do yourself a favor and see another dr. Good luck!
