there are many steps... you can take certain supplements I believe like Vitex, or mixture herbs and teas or you can take the fertility drug route to up your hormones.

you can use progesterone creams, suppositories, pills, most of which need to be prescribed by your DR.  I would check with Dr. before taking anything.  You might be able to GET pregnant with low progesterone, but will have  difficulty sustaining pregnancy (miscarriage).  Vitamin B6 and baby aspirin will help lengthen your luteal phase though.

I also have low progesterone and this is our first month pregnant..I am now almost 7 weeks and because of the progeterone supplements//its so far so good...i have talked to many women online or have the same issues and have had healthy babies! Find an RE..my obgyn told me i was not ovulating and that was not true!

from everything I have been told and have read, a progesterone level below 5 means you aren't ovulating, and they like to see it above 10 for a healthy uterine lining. There are drugs to help you ovulate.  best wishes

Yes, 5 is very low.  Mine was at 12 and my Dr. put me on meds to raise it...They want it above 10, but well above 10 is ideal.  My Dr. put me on Clomid to help boost my prog.  Eventhough I ovulate on my own, Clomid can also be used to help prog. as a first step.
