My boyfriend is 30 y/o and I am 40 y/o. He had a sperm test that comfirm that he has immature sperm and his sperm morphology is round, not oval. What are the chances that he can conceive in the future? If he can how long will it take?
We had similar issues and had to have 3 x tests 90 days apart to give the dr a better picture of what was going on. If you have just had 1 test I wouldn't worry too much as they results can vary hugely in different cicumstances..
i.e, time from producing the sample to the time it was in the lab,
the temp it was kept at,
the days of absitance prior to the sample etc etc....
We were told that although my OH S/A was abnormal/low on all 3 factorsFactor ix complex - Morphology, Motility & count it is NOT impossible to achieve a pregnany it will just take longer than the average couple and to be patient but that it WILL happen :)
There are ways to speed this up if you don't want to try naturally and can afford to have intervention ie. IUI, ICSI (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection) and of course IVF.
There are also things your OH can do to increase the volume of the sperm.
