no insurance

by Lamby, Jan 23, 2008 07:23PM
Hello ladies I did IVF and today I got a negative pregnancy test.. we dont have another 12,000$$.
I am so sad but at the same time looking for answers... I want to do it again but we dont have  medical insurance, I wanted to know if anyone know about any health insurance we can buy that will pay for IVF?? I know I might have to wait but I want to start getting information. Also,, anybody know of a fertility clinic that let you do more than one try for 1/2 price or give you any discount if the first IVF  failed?????
Thank you...

We have Cigna for insurance and it is covering about 80% of the IVF costs.

I am sorry about the BFN!  We don't have coverage either and I really want to do the IVF by this summer if we don't get our BFP but it is hard and expensive!  We will try it but if that didn't work I would be so sad too!  I am not to sure but I think there are discounts through something called ARC... not too sure how it works and if your RE will be part of that company but you should look it up!  Good luck!

My RE is from ARC physical list.  I'm going to do IVF on Feb. and ask him last Monday.  I was told ARC is just a company, they will add up all cost and 10% additional overhead plus interest and so on.....
He suggest I would pay myself.  Even you want to buy 2 cycles to get the discount then you got to finish within 9 month.  For refund package we have to pay for the insurance as well.  I just get credit line from my house for IVF....how's sad if i don't get BFP.  My insurance only cover 50% of IUI but IVF.
