progesterone

by prayergirl, May 07, 2008 10:30AM
I had my progesterone drawn due to my menstrual cycle being abnormal. My cycle lasted for three days and it normally last for five days.  Before then my cycle came 15 days exactly from the one before. My question is my progesterone came back at 0.7 follicular what does that mean.

That sounds normal. Progesterone is always low in the follicular phase (before ovulation), but will go up to about 10 or higher in the luteal phase (after ovulation). Are you having another test done after ovulation? That's usually when they have the test done, to make sure that A) you ovulated and B) your levels are high enough to sustain a possible pregnancy.

Good luck to you!
