ruptured cyst

I went to the emergency room yesterday for a ruptured cyst. The good news is that during the ultrasound I found out that my uterus lining is now at 9mm, the bad news is I found out that I have a septated uterus. Can this be causing my infertility or is it a problem I havent encountered yet. If I can get pregnant with this what are the complications (if any) that will come with it?

you will definently know when the cyst ruptures. It is a very severe abdominable pain that is unmistakeable. Every time mine have ruptured it has happened during sex. You wont be able to move without hurting. The best way to explain the pain is picture a period cramp and times it by ten with no breather in between. The only thing they can really do for you is give you pain medications and tell you to rest. I usually have to stay out of work for a few days. If it is a smalll cyst you wont have to get surgery to remove the fluid your body will naturally absorb them, but if the cyst is larger you may have to have surgery to drain the fluid. I wish you the best of luck I hope you never have to experience that pain.

I was just wondering...I was told this cycle that I have a cyst on my left ovary which is 18 mm is that considered big or small? I have not O this month..my temps are still down...I am on CD 23 but everyday I have pains in my left ovary. Is that due to the cyst?? They aren't that painful, but they are there...any info would be great.

The pains are more than likely from an ovarian cyst. I get pains in my ovary when I have one. When does it hurt? Is it more painful when you have sex?  The cyst I just had burst measured 19mm which isnt considered large. The ones I had removed were between 6 and 7 cm. Those sre the ones that can really hurt you. Everyone gets cysts but a normal womans body will take care of them naturally. You may have nothing to worry about. If your doctor knows they are there and isnt worried you shouldnt be either.

the only time I really cramp up after sex is right before my period? I can just be at work and feel the pains in my ovary. it kind of feels like it throbs twice and it is goe for a few hours or longer. The pain after sex around my period is ther quite often, even when I didn't have cysts. I asked about endometriosis and the dr says that it is normal to have pain like that after sex close to your period. I am going to ask her about a lap to be sure because I have never had one. my sister...my mom and my niece also had endometriosis...and I have read that it is hereditary? Thanks for the info. I go for another ultrasound when I AF shows up again....I don't know when that will be since I don't think I have ovulated.

I believe I have had a ruptured cyst.  For some reason I was going through many abdominal pains during sex and the doctors could not tell me what it was.  One doctor diagnosed me with pcos and said the severe, cannot move, break out into a sweat,PAIN was a ruptured cyst but It would only last about 30min -1 hr then It would be moderately painful but usually next am was gone. I had a full abdominal work up last year as the pain was often during sex which was frusterating for me & my DH.  She (dr.) also had said that my ovaries were a little lower than normal which I had heard from another dr. as well.   Then I swiched doctors (now have a male dr. not sure how i feel about that) who does not believe at all that I have pcos because i get a period every month.  Does anyone with pcos know about this? They did do ulta sounds and saw cyst on my ovaries but my current dr. says that most women do have cyst on their ovaries but they will go away on their own and does not mean I have pcos.  What do you  all think??
Status: CD5 1st day ever taking clomid.  when should i start to have BMS???

Like I said before cysts usually do go away on their own. The pain your describing does sound like a ruptured cyst, if the cyst was small the pain doesnt last as  long and your doctor is right it doesnt mean you have pcos. If having a male doctor really bothers you, you can always request a woman. My doctors switch all the time because I go to the military hospital but the most knowladgeable and helpfull doctor I ever had was a male doctor. Alot of things can cause pain during intercourse. Follow this link http://inletmedical.org/painful_intercourse.asp it explains all of the possible reasons you might be in pain maybe it will help you figure out your symptoms and point you in the direction you need to go. It wiil also help you figure out what questions you need to ask your doctor. Good luck I hope you figure it out. I know how frustrating it can be when your in pain and no one can tell you why or how to fix it .Im tired of being told something different every time. I go to the doctor. Im not sure who to believe any more.
