I also had brown spotting with both of my pregnancy and i was fine as long as it stops i wouldnt worry to much. i remember they told me to take it easy for a couple days and put my feet up. On the other hand my best friend just also had the same thing and she ended up having a MC. The difference between me and her though is hers got progresssively heavier and brighter where mine lasted a couple min and stayed dark brown. hope this helps.

My bleeding started as light brown and went to pink really fast - within an hour or so. Then it was red - by then my RE confirmed the miscarriage. So, if your bleeding stopped I wouldn't be concerned. If it starts again - call the doc and get seen. SSBD to you!!

I'm a little over 8 weeks-last Thursday night I had one brown spot, and the following morning I had another. I called the RE, and we discussed it at length-was it brown or red (brown), had I been extra busy lately (yes!), had I been dehydrated (possibly), etc.. We did an ultrasound and bloodwork to be sure things were ok, and they were. So far so good, and no more spotting. Maye call your Dr's office and they can do an ultrasound or bloodwork, to put your mind at ease.  I know it's frightening, esp for those of us who have had miscarriages, but from what I've read, it can be completely normal.  Best wishes

Hi  iluvdasies -
Would like to let you know that I also spotted when I wiped (only) a Pinkish which felt like the beginning of AF last week, then it turned into a brownish stringy discharge. I rushed to see my specialist; we did a virginal ultrasound and Dr. saw the embryo sac w/yoke in place and had grown 3cm from my previous appt. He said he couldn’t find anything threatening but that night, I flushed always a big clot (dk. red) I was terrified.  The brownish discharge was on and off (very little, thank goodness) until Tuesday night.  Had my appt w/Dr. yesterday and saw my lil peanut’s heart beating way at 6wks 5day.  The spotting / brownish discharge was cause by the grown of the sac. Hang in there and stay positive! It will all work 

Rgds,

spotted with twins - don;t know how far along

Like ltyln - I had slight brown gummy spotting with no pain that sadly resulted in a missed  m/c. That being said, my best friend had similar spotting and has the most beautiful healthy little girl.  If it is causing you lots of worry and concern, force your Dr. (My Dr. didn't do anything which is why it went undetected for so long) to give you some tests only to ease your worry. I am sure that you and your wee bean are just fine!  Good luck and get those tests done so you can relax and enjoy yourself!

I spotted with DS and everything was OK.  I think the fact that it is brown and stopped is good.  As long as you don't get red...u should be OK...try and take it a bit easy.
