taking clomid need help

i am on clomid 100mg and my doctor told me to start having sex on day 20 of my cycle. is this correct? i have been seeing all over to start on different days.

I think thats a little late, but I am no expert, are you using bbt or opks to pinpoint ovulation?? If not I would start doing it every other day from the day after you finish the last pill, clomid can cause you to o very early in your cycle and if you wait til cd 20 you may miss ur egg, clomid made me ovulate 4 days early than a cycle w/o it....hope this helps

Most woman O on CD 12-17 with clomid!!!!!!!! My friend is on it and day 20 is too late! What is this dr thinking? Best thing to do so you do not stress about it is have sex everyother day but no more then 3x a week and you should be fine. That is what my RE said. If you take OPK though you have sex on that day and the next after a positive. Then if you are temping which is really good to do you will see a rise in temp once the egg has released. I know you must be frustrated and he does not sound like a good dr. If you can't switch then I say research everything you can even blood levels of your tests so that way you know what is going on without the dr telling you and you can kinda push him in the direction ou want without him knowing it! A proactive dr is the best and aggressive! Best of Luck to you:)

i maybe kinda didnt understand what my dr had told me to do i guess maybe she meant an the 20th of this month but i will do what i have to stating tomorrow until the 23rd and hopefully it will work. wish me luck. thanks

Before going on Clomid my cycles were aprox 42 days apart. My RE also told me to use the OPK s when I usually would which is around day 27 of my cycle.
But little did I know that Clomid regulates your cycle and I got my period right on CD28.
This month, I Od on CD13. Temperature charting and OPK sure helps understand how things work in there. Good luck!
