will Medroxypr ac 10mg make me ovulate?

Today i was diagnosed with PCOS or PCOD and was perscribed medroxypr ac 10mg for 5 days to bring on my period. I have always had irregular periods and Me and my fiance have been ttc for almost two years. I finally got the nerve to switch gynos and he diagonsed me with pcos and as stated before put me on this medicine. Will this make me ovulate and help my chances getting pregnant. And if so ..how much will it help me?
