I have fibromyalgia and it seems that most nights I begin to feel better after midnight. Just wondering why. Is it hormones or something else?
Question is for the Professor but others are welcome to.
Questions for Dr. Nicholson, I believe, will get answered more quickly if you copy and paste it on the autoimmune expert site.
As far as feeling better after midnight, I think it may have to do with the fact that in some of us our cortisolCortisol level level is out of wack. I think our circadian rhythm is not the same as in the "normal" population.
I too feel better late at night, I have CFS and walk around like a zombie all day long, I have 3 kids my youngest is 11 months old, I think personally that after everyone is asleep my body sighs in relief, and I can relax and have more energy. I do regret it on some days the feeling is so great (feeling normal) that I stay up too late and pay for it the next day.

Hope it helps,
