Falling alot lately

by anrtech, Dec 22, 2007 07:04PM
I have fibro not to mention a few conditions, such as chronic venous insuffiency, and major depression. I often loose my balance and fall. I not sure if its vertigo or the fibro. So, I was just wondering if anyone has this problem.

I have not noticed my balance being off, but I can not stop dropping things.  I must drop things 20-30 times a day.  Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

Thougt I left a message. Probably forgot to press post.  I feel Like my brain is on drugs, ya know like that frying pan?  Started Lyrica, which has helped the pain, but I am stumbling too. Not as much as I did on Neuronton, but I am a dizzy blonde these days. Hope things get better!

Have you been to a neurologist with these symptoms? I think you should go to an oto-neurologist. He/she specializes in balance problems and dizziness/vertigo and also has knowlege of brain disorders. He can rule out vestibular /inner ear problems. Not to scare you, but a close friend of mine had problems with balance and falling and those were her first symptoms of MS.  But again, it could be an inner ear thing going on, or even a side effect to a medication you are taking. Best to get it checked out though.
